With the baby two weeks past the due date, Robyn is waiting out the delivery - uncomfortably.

  1. I just wish they would put a fan in front of him. the golden locks blowing......can they step up fake production !

  2. y'all, that damn baby just did NOT want to come out. He knew the first face he was going to have to see was that of the goofy ass voice he hears through the womb ever four days!

  3. THIS JUST IN: As with Kate Gosselin, Hugh Hefner at 84 just turned down Robyn's secret request to be a Playboy Bunny.

Reasoning? With as much editing and fake scenes done in this episode, Hugh was shocked that after one public humiliation of her belly, she went for 2-
He also was shocked to hear that Robyn turned down some body makeup to cover the stretch marks.
Kody seems to think they are his "Highway to Heaven."

Bottom line- the voice. It reminded him of aunt Edna on Christmas Vacation talking about the squirrel.

  4. Folks, having some problems with posting. I think it has worked itself out. If not, it should soon!
    Thanks!

  5. When did the Browns move to Las Vegas? I don't think Robyn waited to start trying.

  6. You know, I was really puzzled by Robyn's remarks about her dad having been present at all her births as a " strong male figure" or something to that effect. She had all her children at home. So I presume her husband and a midwife were present. Why her dad and not her mother? Besides the ick factor, isn't it more natural to have your mom, or aunt, or a sister or a good female friend present rather than your dad? You'd think her polygamous dad would be really too busy to attend all his daughters' births..... Unless, of course, this was another part of their religion they are not telling us about but just gliding over with a sort of non-explanation-explanation. Does anyone know?

  9. So how does Kody know she's laboring every night? Did he sleep with Christine every night when she was due?
Not fun when you have 3 due!

sad the lack of support these women have, it really is. No wonder they are all godsmacke when they get some one on one time. Pitiful. In the AUB world, they are "lucky and rich". In my world, lonely and poor.

  10. Just flicking channels and had the great misfortune to land on the re-run of the divine birth. Robin says "cord blood is awesome" while Kody talks about placenta nutrients...help me Lord! He gave the freaking placenta more attention than he does his 17 kids. I need to change the channel quickly!

  11. Looking at their kids ages, it seems that Janelle and Christine were in a competition to see who could have the most kids. I think Janelle's done-it seems like Christine thinks Robin is the main rival for Kody's affections, wonder if she's going to start competing with Robin. Will Kody start pressuring her to have another kid while Robin recovers?

  12. Ok, so I am not an expert at this religious community by any means, but being married to an Episcopal Priest there are a few things I know FOR SURE that I am positive transcend denominational barriers...who was paying attention when Robin was on a pity pot about never having stuff when her other 3 kids were born? She stated she NEVER had a crib, and said they couldn't afford it...REALLY??? Are you kidding me? We have never had a pregnant woman in our faith community that wasn't offered everything under the sun when they started to "show", a faith community always circles the wagons when there is a need---it is often the primary bonus of belonging to a community!

  13. Anonymous 5:41: my thoughts exactly. And especially in a polygamous society, where everyone is (or should be) having babies all the time, I find it really really hard to believe that no one had a crib to lend her, not any of her sisters or half sisters, her moms, her moms-in-laws, her sister-in-laws, cousins, etc. No way do I believe that. I think even if someone is so dirt poor they don't have a pot to piss in, there would be baby stuff to hand down.

    ReplyDelete
  14. How about if you are so dirt poor and can't afford the crib for the baby, you don't get pregnant in the first place? Just sayin'

  15. I think she didn't have a crib because they Robin and David lived in a nasy little trailer and there was no room three children let alone a crib.

BTW, it never used to be such a PITA to post on this blog site.

  16. Oops, please excuse the bad sentence structure in the above post. Too early in the morning!

  17. anony 5:41 and religulous - Y'all both must have missed our earlier rantings! The "crib pity party" was definitely held on a couple of other posts and the consensus was "sorry, Robyn - we ain't buying that sob story."

Her answer to Kody's obvious scripted question was, "either there wasn't money or there wasn't enough room." DUH! yeah, right.... She never had a crib for 3 kids but wasn't sure exactly why. And yes, of course, we all wondered where her wonderful church community was, her friends, family .... SOMEONE who had one to loan or a paltry sum to buy a used one.

The bottom line is that she lived in a nasty little trailer that wasn't big enough for a family of 5 - including a baby crib. (allegedly) Both her and King Solomon have struck GOLD now with a crib and a room of his own - something no other kid has but Mariah.

NO - wait!! DAY-UN has his own room as well. Robyn's the only wife who has 2 of her kids with their own rooms!! BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!! She's actually the only wife who has 3 KIDS that have their own rooms every time she pawns that one little daughter back off on Meri! SOLID GOLD!!

But of course, it wouldn't benefit Robyn to point out these FORTUNATE turn of events for her and her kids. (just like there's no guilt talk about her being the only wife that got a honeymoon.) It always continues to be: my kids are bullied, my ex is an abuser (that's why i send my kids away to him all the time), Hunter doesn't love me or Solomon and that hurts ME, I'm sad that Logan's going to go away to school cause i wanted him to be here to help raise MY kids, ad nauseam...ME, ME , ME!! ...whine, whine, sniff, sniff...

  18. Profpeeplewatcher: oh, yeah! Well how about that! I forgot that when your frontal lobes have fully grown, you can make adult, responsible decisions on when to bring children into the world! Like if you don't have a pot to piss in, then get a job and wait till you can afford to support your children. And it seems from what Plyg Barbie has said, it was implied she did have some kind of control over her own fertility....

  19. Robyn said herself that she CHOSE not to have any more kids during her first marriage. PLUS, she and Kody announced they decided the time was FINALLY right for them to have a baby. So, yes, obviously, she practices birth control and i'm sure it's not through abstinence. I don't think the average AUB church member shops for their underwear at VS either.

Troy Bowles has said this family is NOT your average staunch AUB member. I think that's why Robyn was a good fit for them herself. at least in the chaotic, fly by the seat of your pants, irresponsible sense of "good fit."

  20. My guess is that Robyn was the best they could get.
I mean every woman who would agree to participate in this flick has to have some serious issues going on.
A few years from now, probably two or three more kids down the road from Robyn, Kody is going to "court" another nutcase. And I bet this time she will be even younger.
The sad thing is, that this show probably made it easier for him to land a new wife.
Lets face it: Hes not a Looker, not rich, no noteworthy personality, but at least he is some kind of famous now.

  21. Kiera.....duh! he has (or will) have his own planet. the rest of that stuff is too wordly to worry about

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes, go to that ridics facebook fan page of theirs and they're begging to be his next wife. can only imagine how dysfunctional they would be. some of them could probably make Robyn look like Mother of the Year.

    ReplyDelete
  23. My mother always wanted me to marry a man with a bigger planet than others....maybe that's what attracted Robyn?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh yes, the stuff about the own planet. Oh, and the wives beeing pregnant all the time. Doesn´t sound like heaven to me. Thanks, but no thanks.
I rather die alone and be eaten by cats or worms or whatever.
I think I would knock myself unconscious with a frying pan if I would have to endure Kody (or Robyn) for eternity.

  25. I cringed at Hunter saying "you can't love someone you don't know". I have to keep reminding myself that he is just a child (14) and has a lot of maturing to do... *smh*

  26. I think the real reason Robyn didn't have a crib in the trailer was because the trailer was so small. I think someone posted on this blog it was only 16 feet long. But we've also read if the husband is 'unworthy' in the AUB, the family gets a lousy place to live. Could it also be that because hubby was looked down on, nobody in their 'faith community' would help her with baby items?
