Another commenter said it won't be long before one of the wives walks out ... I disagree ... I think we are going to get bored of this show long before any of the wives leave Kody. I know I was on the edge of my seat (NOT) as I waited to see how far the fringe on the pillow would unravel. BTW I liked this sofa. Looks very comfy and inviting.
ReplyDeleteI liked this sofa too!! Much better than the other one. I bet her other set in in her family room.
ReplyDeleteLike I said in another thread the sofa looks suitable for lounging by hunchbacks since it's designed like a boomerang.
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't they be able to furnish a whole house when we taxpayers are paying for their food stamps and probably their medical too. The whole family are a bunch of gypsies.
ReplyDeletethis sofa is the one that Meri wanted but Kody overruled her and got the Jetson beige couch instead. ugh. and so not Meri's taste.
ReplyDeletewho's going to be sitting on it more? Kody or Meri? i would hate having to look at a couch every day that i did not like, did not want and am reminded that it didn't matter. Hell, Kody... you're as classless and dumb as Robyn by forcing that couch on Meri.
I'm just glad Robyn's bedroom was fugly and all about Kody and he still didn't appreciate it. Hah!
loved the ridiculous teen-age thing she did with the neon lit palm tree on her wall to remind them of their honeymoon. bet the wives loved having that and her other honeymoon shrine items she had in her bedroom in their face. again, robyn's able to validate her special specialness to them by being the only wife to get a honeymoon after marrying that moron.
yeah, she says their bedroom is their sacred and private space but only after she made sure they saw it first so they all could be reminded that her and Kody have "marital relations" lest they ever forget. oh yeah, don't ever forget we also had a honeymoon and none of you did!! neener neener
"and yeah, the 4th diamond in the heart in that damn irish ring is ME! sistahs ME, ME, MEEEE!!!!! at least that's what Kody tells me when we're having our marital relations." sniff, sniff, whine, whine.
I did think Janelle saying she was unconformable in her mothers bedroom was weird. To this day, all my grown kids and grandkids are there all the time, no biggie.
ReplyDeleteJulie, I thought so, too! ;)
ReplyDeleteI did too!
ReplyDeleteHeck, everybody piles in here to talk. That's a shame. Maybe it's like Cynical said-your Father in law, step dad thing.
My parents' bedroom was always off limits when I was a kid. Not to say that during thunderstorms we didn't pile in, but that was after a knock on the door. Pretty much, unless invited, that room was off limits to kids.
ReplyDeleteI'm over 40 and still feel uncomfortable walking into their bedroom. It is what it is.
I don't like that they talk of how they have limited resources, then go on a major shopping spree.
ReplyDeleteMeri faced No decision on the couch as she was not allowed to make any decision, Kody got to do that.... the story of her life.
ReplyDeleteI was raised like Snowflake. We did not go into my parents bedroom very often and I was taught you don't go into other people's bedrooms unless invited. Even then I don't always feel comfortable. My kids and I have a different relationship and they are always in my room lounging around whenever they feel like it. Lol kids these days...
ReplyDeleteI've just spent several days reading practically every post on this site--to the point where I am dreaming about polygamy. And not in a fun/interesting way. I really loved this show when it came on, and yes, yes I am still scheduling my life around it, but, as per usual with a TLC family, things are family apart and I'm rapidly losing any respect I had for these people.
ReplyDeleteAs to this episode, I thought Meri not choosing her own couch was a bit out of character (from what we can tell from the show) for her. Usually she seems sorta of "take charge" and not easily pushed around. Therefore I have to concur that she's pretty depressed by the move, Robyn and Mariah possibly leaving her one day. Remember when they were packing up Robyn's house and Meri was very "Everyone move, cause I want this done, and I want it done correctly and I want it done now!" Now she barely has a presence. Such is the life of a TV family.
Sigh..."rapidly" not "family falling apart." So much for proof reading. And my first post too....
ReplyDeleteWelcome, A Day Ahead!
ReplyDeleteYes poor Meri and her sofa woes. This is what I would do if I were her. I'd have taken that Jetson sofa and put it in another room. Then I would have gotten the couch I wanted the next day (surely they have some of their own money) Then on every 4th day when Kody comes over I would ask him to help me move the ugly one into the TV room and then before he leaves have him move it back again. Hell, better yet, get Robyn who pushed her into it to come over and move it for her. Or she could keep it in the bedroom and have Kodys cheatin arse sleep on it so he would be in a permanent V shape as he went out the next morn!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that any woman regardless of her religion would let her husband sleep with another woman. I just learned Meri was his first wife. Poor Meri.
ReplyDeleteWhat would seem fitting is if Meri decided she wanted as many husbands as Kody has wives. She seems to mask her unhappiness with sharing her husband and she deserves better, they all do. These women must have low self esteem to accept sharing their husband. Heck, he even gets a guys night out with his buddies, while their so called girls night out isnt spent with other girlfriends, just the other sister wives. Why dont they get to enjoy different men, like he enjoys 4 women? Theres no way these 4 women are truly happy sharing their husband, they deserve better.
