S04E5 Defending Polygamy

"Kody and the wives return to his home town as an open polygamists; Robyn and Kody announce the name of the baby."
The next episode is:"The Wives Diet Woes" which I think should be interesting!!!!

Thoughts on New episode??

  1. These "Peanut Butter Fritos" should help. Fritos, corn syrup, peanut butter, and sugar. Seriously. I'll give you one guess which wife put this recipe up for TLC.

  2. yeah, the same wife that likes pudding and cool whip mixed together to dip vanilla wafers in for a "snack." ugh. can we say STRESS EATER?!!

  3. They NEED to lose weight. They've all gotten big, but Robyn, of course. I don't mean to be mean, but it would be hard as a guy to go from sleeping with a stick to Janelle. She's 3 of Kody.

  5. A Comment I can agree with. It's a fact, spoken or not. He goes from Skinny Robyn, to huge Janelle, he's going to compare.

I think Meri doesn't get compared as much. I think she is "home" to him, a safety net, and always will be. And, I think she knows it. She didn't want any more babies, that's why she picked Robyn. How appealing will it be to go over there with a bunch of whining babies? Kody is getting older.

  6. I would LOVE to hear their defense on the fact that America is about 1:1 equal ration of males to females born.
Therefore, what do the other 3 boys born into polygamy do?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Defend it with a script and a edited version. nice, real nice.
Put them with a hard hitting journalist.

You know, I was suprised at Dr. Drew the other day. I can't remember who he was interviewsing about MJackson, but she bluntly said what happened to him was his own addicitons, and Drew was like- WHOA you said that, I don't want his fans on me!
I thought Drew would not of been as politically correct.

Defend it to who? their FORMER friends?

    ReplyDelete
  8. I am suprised that they would even put that on TV- the part where the friend said Kody liked being the center of attention.

Should be an interesting show. They also tell what the babies name is going to be!

I have to say, I started watching with an open mind.

Then I learned about the AUB.
    and Mormons.
and geez, they believe some screwy things!
I don't care if THEY believe it, I hate they are teaching the girls to.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Old Lady, I am a "Mormon" and I was never taught to accept polygamy. Mormons are not taught screwy things, we believe in God, in Jesus Christ, and no we don't think of Joseph Smith as Jesus or God, we do believe that a family is eternal. I was taught not to judge others, that it is not up to me to judge how they live and to always be kind and respect the rights and lives of others. AUB is not part of the LDS church, and we are taught that educating yourself is the best thing possible, knowledge is power.

  10. I have been friends with many Mormons. I did not say WHAT exactly they believe, I said they believe some screwy things, and I stand by that.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Are you saying, as a mormon, you are not going to be sealed to your family for the afterlife?

    ReplyDelete
  12. It is not that Meri did not want more children, she did, but is unable to.

I had a discussion with a Mormon last week regarding the "sealed in the afterlife" because I had read something that seems off to me.

It was explained to me and though I am not a Mormon, I must admit there is a comfort in the belief that in the afterlife you can spend eternity with your spouse

Granted there is a lot more to it, but the way it was explained to me, even in he afterlife you havea choice if you want to spend eternit with your spouse

    ReplyDelete
  13. There's a lot that unsettles me about Mormonism. For one thing, I read that Mormonism assumes polygamy in the afterlife (even mainstream LDS).

Also, Joseph Smith apparently stated that the Book of Mormon is more correct than any other book of the Bible, and that man could get closer to God by following it than any other book. This troubles me.

I found this list here http://sisterwivesblog.blogspot.com/2011/08/mormons-wont-tell-you.html very interesting, and would be curious to hear what any Mormon readers thought of it.

I don't mean to trash any religion or (most of all) any people. But there is so much that seems "off" to me about Mormonism.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I agree, Meri couldn't have anymore children it wasn't her choice. I believe you are free to believe what you want and I don't think it is "SCREWY"

    ReplyDelete
  15. Meri could of gone through with more treatments, and demanded more sexy time with Kody!!!!

I think she chose, not to, either, myself.

If you have ever gone through the infertility treatments, you know why she chose to give it up at 40. They are horrible on your mind, body, and soul.

  17. a very easy website to get the nitty gritty on Mormons is mormonthink.com. It's done by Mormons themselves but they are "in the know" about LDS whitewashed history that they admit most LDS don't know. They think it's wrong the church has hidden alot from their members so, they tell it like it is.

It's a very interesting and credible site. they state what the belief/history is factually. then they give the apologist's stated spin on it as well as the negative side. then you decide which sounds more credible. i love it!

keep in mind tho, this site is about mainstream LDS and not Kody's AUB or Warren Jeff's FLDS.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am assuming they will not get into the religion itself too deep folks, heck, they won't even say if they are AUB or not, so I doubt there's any big discussion on the need for more wives, Joseph Smith, or anything like that.

I do wonder if they will announce the birth of the baby at the beginning of the show. I think they might have a short broad showing Robyn and the baby. You never know! (that is if she's had him)

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't know what they all see in Cody or WHY they all must have such low self esteem to think they only deserve 1/4 of a husband ,I feel bad their kids only get a pt dad,and the lifestyle def is not for me,but I also think they are 4 consenting adults and If they are all ok w/it it's not for me to judge.i dont think they should or prosecuted or separated at least Cody is admitting and making commitments to them.many men marry the. Have hidden affairs IMO they are much worse.

  20. Can't wait for Cynical's Review!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Me either!!!!!

I do have to wonder how much they will actually talk about religion. I mean, isn't that what supposedly the polygamy is all about?

I wonder what else they will hit on tonight.
    Hope it's a good episode!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was just reading the comments on the show's FB page. A lot of those people must be watching a different show than *I* am. Happy kids? I'm not seeing it. An involved father? really? he sees each kid maybe 2 times a week at most...? happy wives? Definitely not. Robyn is the epitome of clingy...and I think her comments say more than she wants them to. SHE is the jealous one...the "mean girl" airhead. and Kody is an idiot.

I've said this before...as much as he and Christine (mostly her - at least in the earlier eps and pre-show videos) talk how they want to make their lifestyle legitimate, accepted, whatever...they have too much invested in it being otherwise. That's their cash cow...if polygamy becomes accepted as "normal" then why would people watch the show? I mean think about it, are there any reality series right now with gay marriages and their kids? Not that I know of. I live in the Bay Area and here, anyway, that is totally accepted as a normal lifestyle. There IS no reality show featuring gay marriages with kids because 1) that community has more class than the Browns and 2) it's not "unusual" enough for people to tune in. That's what would happen if polygamy was legal and accepted.

And BTW - I don't care whether people are polygamists or not, as long as they aren't hurting anybody, the children aren't affected, and they aren't using/abusing the system. While the Browns aren't hurting anybody (except themselves), I do NOT see happy kids there. I get the idea that the teenagers have lost whatever enthusiasm they might have had for being on TV. look at those faces at the Mexican restaurant while Kody is pontificating. And the way they actually ADVERTISE that they are polygamists. I'm sorry - I'm sure that it wasn't news to a lot of their friends when the series first aired that they were living this lifestyle...so much for "Coming out" especially since there are videos on YouTube that were made WAY before the show. eeccch.

    ReplyDelete
  23. more to add - watching Robyn bait the ultrasound tech that "THIS IS OUR 17TH BABY" dang I wish I was the tech i would have just shrugged and said, well as long as you can AFFORD TO SUPPORT THEM...good for you. and besides I'm sure the tech was FULLY AWARE of their status. there WAS a camera in the room after all. DUH! so much for "reality".

    ReplyDelete
  24. OOOH! I can't even wait for your write-up, Cynical!

    ReplyDelete
  25. yes, their FB fans are ridiculous. i notice that anyone who dares say anything realistic they get pounced on by all the butt-kissers there. can't believe there's actually that many deluded people. maybe it's the Browns all taking on 10 aliases apiece!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Still wondering with all those fans they have, why Robyn's gift registry is still waiting and wanting... maybe their fans don't have 2 extra nickels to rub together to buy anything for her.

    ReplyDelete
  27. REgarding Facebook fans:
I know! It's like they are watching a completely different show! They also get into almost a psycho frenzy over the smallest things and blow things way out of proportion. What they fail to understand is that the Browns are on a reality TV show! They put themselves out there! People can be fans of the show, but not the actual people. Or perhaps be fans of the family in general but dislike some of their actions or dislike a member ot two. Just like any other reality show, it's for entertainment! Some people watch for snark purposes, some people watch because they want to be more like them, etc. The same thing will happen with any person or family that goes on reality shows. No one forced them to do this!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think it would be hard to sleep with any of them..except for Robyn.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous says "at least Kody is admitting and making commitments to them.many men marry the. Have hidden affairs IMO they are much worse."
Really? I have heard this argument before - Cheating is terrible and therefore polygamy is in some way better. Don't believe it, at least with a cheating husband you can dump him, or forgive him and make a new start, and society is on your side in condemning his actions. With polygamy you have to accept the other women (even if your heart is breaking) you are expected to paste on a a happy face about it, and you know that this is a never ending situation that you will have to deal with for the rest of your life.

    ReplyDelete
  30. They say it's not about the sex.... really? ok then why do they have so many children, are broke a$$ crazy, and still having children. Robyn is brainless, Christine not much better but I like her, Janelle has a brain but I feel something has happened to her, she allows Kody to put her on the back burner, and Meri? she has hidden anger issues, and I think hates the lifestyle, but feels she will go to hell for not allowing Kody more wives. I think Meri doesn't feel that close to Christine and hates the fact that Christine will voice her thoughts and feeling right or wrong. Poor Kody my foot he is such a dork, Where any of the wives ever on welfare, wick, state paid health care or food-stamps?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't think it WAS about sex any longer TIL Robyn came along. They are not without money now that they have the show, so forget that idea. It is just a lure to have us watch. When I watched a promo for show tonight.. one of his old friends said it didn't surprise them, cause he always had to be the center of attention. That is exactly what this is about!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have been reading this blog and also am a 'friend' of the facebook page Kody Brown-family. While I don't agree with a lot of the 'rules' or the fact that everything MUST be positive ALL the time on the fb page, its their page and they can do what they want. Its interesting watching them fawn over the browns and is another insight into how these people live. They are very up in arms about anyone (like me) being a 'fb friend' and then reading other blogs but last I checked, we still live in a free society. It has to be exausting trying to control 1000+ people that you don't know. If anyone wants the PO box to send Robin presents (yea right)I have it! lol They are so careful about giving it out, my god, its a PO BOX!! lol Keep writing the blog, love it.

  33. To Free and Clear and the Anonymous poster who stated: "at least Kody is admitting and making commitments to them.many men marry the. Have hidden affairs IMO they are much worse." Free and Clear, I totally agree that polygamy is worse than hidden affairs! The anonymous poster is assuming that Kody is cheating on his first wife by having sex with his other "wives." However, we have seen by the posts of NON-TRADITIONAL and other polygamy apologists that they don't agree that Kody is cheating. He is not committing adultery, according to the polygamists. However, as a Christian and lawyer, I have a completely different viewpoint and I was taught my morals as a child. If I were a Muslim wife whose husband brought home a second "wife" without my permission or consent, it would be worse for me than an affair. Not just because he is flaunting his infidelity in my face, or because he now expects me to compete for his affection and time, or because I will be indirectly or directly supporting his second "wife", or because I will have to deal with this woman for the rest of my life, but also because he would expect me to change my thinking and accept his way of thought completely. He is not cheating, in his mind, and I would have to accept it. As an intelligent, educated, successful woman, I would be extremely angry at him for undermining my whole belief system. It might literally drive me crazy. And I think even women who are brought up believing this system lose their sanity, to a certain extent, when they start denying reality and their natural feelings. (It is ironic that this is a reality show?)

  34. Anon 10/16 11am, 12:37pm & 1:23pm

Kudos!! I totally agree w/ U & I was thinking the same thing, esp on the Aliases .....God knows they could pull it off...lol
Also they like to refer to this blog as a negative site, when all were doing is just speaking our minds & opinions as are they on their "positive " site ...+ they act like this is the only site giving negative feedback. When U Google Kody Brown Family, U get Bonnie Fuller, Hollywood Gossip, Radar online, TMZ & others .....lol
As far as Health Food franchise, only 2 options come to mind : Jenny Craig & Weight Watchers....lol Being spokespersons for these 2 franchises would bring in some cash flow & keep them on tv a lil longer bc their 15min of fame are just about over, unless a 5th wife or teen pregnancy happens.....

  35. About the Facebook page, I "unfriended" them b/c they are obviously not going to have any exclusives anymore. So, what's the use. I don't want to log on about the page to read a bunch of ass-kissing. I went on there to find out the latest and the greatest about the show and/or the family b/c I m a fan of the show. Not as a "spy" and I haven't seen any pictures that have been exclusives from there on here or any freezeframes from their page.
Also, this is not a "very nasty site" like they keep mentioning. They are no wishing harm to the Browns, no threats to them or harrassment, no one is sending them links to this page, etc. There is also no profanity or fake nudy pictures. Plus,we all like the kids and wish them well. We simply offer other opinions besides all the nonstop flattery.

    ReplyDelete
  36. P.S-I also have to LOL at them thinking it was/is only ONE person that goes to their site and on here to. Do they really think that the only reason that people join the page to fawn over the family?!Maybe it's to keep track of the show news!

If this page bothers them so much they can not come over here.
It's also just as silly to assume to that site is a danger of to the Browns in any way.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Correction-If this page bothers them so much they can not come over here.

    lol , better yet

    ReplyDelete
  40. This site is dangerous to the Browns because it speaks the truth: the government assistance and the other half-truths. You know, things they would rather you not know.

They made themselves the example, they stepped into the spotlight and demanded to be accepted as a normal family. If you are going to do that, you better be ready for the heat.

    ReplyDelete
  41. For heavens' sake Kody and Kody's friend, the word proselytize is pronounced pros-uh-li-tahyz, not pros-lite.

Way for ex-missionaries, who used to proselytize, to sound educated.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Love you Kody , hang in there. You are so loved!

  43. yeah by four women yikes he is a fame whore

    ReplyDelete
  44. Robyn and Kody do not have a command of the English language, in adult form!!!s

    ReplyDelete
  45. I thought it was so funny that pretty much everyone agreed that he is a fame/attention whore and that of course he would go public. Christine and Robyn, no one thinks Kody is attractive anymore!!! No worries about that. Solomon is an awful name. I agree with Janelle on that one!
Also, does Christine make a dig at Robyn in the previews?! "I don't want to be too skinny." LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  46. It has been a long felt feeling in the LDS church that polygamists, of the FLDS church act main stream to learn things in the temple like Kody did and then cross over, it's not that Ken is a jerk, he feels liked he was lied to and,,,, maybe he was, another thing that bugs me is a lot of polygamists live in such poverty, Kody mom bless her heart looks like she hasn't left the ranch,,,, ever. Glad to see the wives are getting in shape..... Hope it's for themselves and not the new food line Kody wants to sell

    ReplyDelete
  47. I have one question and one question only. How would Kody feel if each of his 'wives' was sharing the love with another guy?

    ReplyDelete
  48. He already said he couldn't handle it. Hmmmmmm

  49. I can't wait for the recap. I half-way watched tonight. My beloved Cardinals are looking World Series bound.

  50. I have been looking all over the internet and so far I have not found an answer to my question,,
Why are men polygamist allow to have many women, but polygamist women are not allow to have other men? is this another religion (don't know much aboout mormons) where female subjugation is the base to a religion?
I am looking for a religion where women are allowed to have at least 2 or 3 men so helps me out here please..........

  51. Hi Anony 12:56!

I had to put on my anthropology hat from college. The best I can offer you is to suggest that you start by searching the internet for "polyandry".

I hope you find the info you are seeking!

    ReplyDelete
  52. would anyone be so kind (and able) to share a link somehow with those of us that are out of the country? I can not find it anywhere. :(

    ReplyDelete
  53. I just found this site and I'm loving it already! A couple comments/observations...
First off, Kody needs to do something with his hair. Looks to me like he's in mid-life-crisis mode...that could explain the Robyn thing, too.
Secondly, I thought the Fundy sects of LDS kinda required modest dress, often if not predominantly requiring women to wear skirts and/or dresses. Robyn does NOT wear modest jeans. Now up top the sister wives dress modestly, but to put it in the vernacular of the region we live in, "them ain't no modest jeans!" In fact, that they wear form fitting pants at all rather surprised me.
Third, hey....I thought Fundy LDS beliefs were that if you married, you were married forever. How come Kody could marry a divorced woman? I'm confused.
Fourth....ok, so they ran from the law. What's with this 4 house crap? Mr. Kody isn't in charge of this family or he'd have told the girls, "Hey, y'all, the most we will do is 2 adjoining houses. Suck it up." I can't imagine the financial strain on the family and the government when it comes to paying the bills for 4 houses and 20 people. They also could have gone for adjoining apartments. Dang. I'm married to one man and we live in a mobile home because that's what we can afford. I don't get how he can be supposedly the priest of this family and be so whipped.
I watch the show as mindless entertainment. I'm confused. I read stuff, and I see other shows, and then I catch this show with the kids not being required to follow the dress code, the moms in jeans and this group of now-seriously-underemployed people spending money like it's going out of style and I'm just baffled. I'll be back. I have to get some clues on this thing.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh and one more thing....I just read the entry in which Marc, Meri's brother, said even the poor people he knew took a vacation or two a year....well, my husband and I have been married for 11 1/2 years; we didn't get a honeymoon due to finances; we have NEVER been on a vacation. We did take a 3 day trip with my 15 year old daughter from my first marriage - we slept on the floor of my daughter-in-law's father's house for the two nights we stayed there. I doubt that counts as a vacation.
So....no, not everyone gets a vacation or two a year. I'd like one. It might be nice.

  55. Hi Trisha and Welcome!

Just rushing by while writing up my review of tonite's show! Thought I'd stop for a sec and say hi!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hi Everyone!!!!
My internet has been out- it always does this on important days!
Glad to see so many new faces!
Glad to see some great great comments!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I am a Sister Wives fan - fan of the show, just like millions of others, I like to comment on the show, good or bad, like a million other sites.

I used to like to go by the Sister Wives site that was ubber kiss ass- not to read all the sickening comments, but she was always saying they had the scoops. Well, I've never seen one. If you write the LEAST little thing that isn't all pro Browns, they delete it!

Now, they are trying to talk about this site, and they are lying their asses off to the people, saying things you didn't do and this is not a pay site, and it makes me sick. I unfriended myself. If I can't speak the tiniest thing wrong with the show, why bother? My only mistake was not defending this site first. So if anyone else knows what I am talking about, I suggest you TELL them how they are lying and could get into trouble.

THIS IS THE BEST SITE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. and I've never posted before, just always read. But they made me mad by lying. They must be jealous! Or maybe the fact you speak the truth gets them, like all the bankruptcies, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  59. So what did everyone tink of the show? I haven't seen it yet!
What did they name the baby!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. "Think" of the show.

Now I am going to show my age! "tink" reminded me of when I was a little girl, and mom would ask me if I "tinkled"!
    You never hear that anymore!haha

    ReplyDelete
  61. SOLOMON!! but with a C!! j/k

wonder if it's all about that sexy Song of Solomon that Kody and Robyn probably read to each other when they're reading the bible. if ever.

    ReplyDelete
  62. but what an arrogant self-righteous jerk that Ken friend is. "i don't wanna know why, Kody." "don't tell me why, but i'll still constanly joke about it to ya!."

i LOVED it when the one h.s. friend called Ken out on his hypocrisy of proseltying. He can but Kody can't. HAH!

and "yes, i can be your friend again now, cause i've chosen to TOLERATE you."

wow - i'm not sold on mainstream Mormonism any more than i am on polygamy. both are self-righteous and judgmental and crazily un-Christlike in their dealings with others.

    ReplyDelete
  63. about Kody's hair - i keep waiting for Christine to get pissed enough and not special enough that she cuts that ridiculous mop off during his sleep one night. and blames it on Truely!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Trisha - you had a lot of good points.

I don't know, I think Ken thinks Kody did it for the fun of it, not the religion.

    Solomon?
    We did better than her!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Anony 12:56, you don't have to look further than Mormonism and Joseph Smith. Several of his 'wives' were already married to other men when he married them. And they went back to their legal husbands after Smith died.

You can do a YouTube search on "truth about mormonism" or other similar searches to find videos/websites about it.

Also - maybe Mister Sister or Cynical Jinx can get screen shots of the FaceBook page and post it here? I'd love to read what the Browns are saying about this site. Something on this site struck a nerve with them!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I couldn't be happier that Kody's high school friends thought he was uber gay (no offense to gays) but finally someone on the show picked a bit of fun at him. The wives pretend to stand up to him and his ridiculous self-centered behavior. The man just lacks a personality that demands respect. Hard to believe he ayed a tough sport like football ... Curious as to what type league it was. I found the episode refreshing because the Kody wants to go mainstream IMO not for the "cause" but for the attention, and Ken called him out on it. Please remember that Kody himself described Ken as his former best friend and who would know him better? Pity these sweet kids are being dragged through this public circus. I love that the older kids are finding their voice but really worry for poor Hunter. One thing sadly lacking, again IMO in this "faith" they choose seems to be peace.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think I know what the turning point was. The media treated them like the Duggars until all this bankruptcy/food stamp mess.

It gave ME goosebumps when that HLN host called them grifters, I think, something like that, floating bankruptcy to bankruptcy. That info came from this awesome site. GRIFTERS!

These people don't care who they hurt and steal from so that someone else can fund their "lifestyle." That's the exact opposite of Christian in my book. Busted! They've been exposed for what they are.

    ReplyDelete
  68. IMO the Browns like this blog, except for the revelations that comes out.
It's that crazy terrible "friend" of Robyn that controls that one website.
The Browns have said nothing about this one, it's her. I think she's a crazy hanger on, imo.

she told everyone she'd have scoops and didn't, so she looked, uh, you know. so she has to blame someone!!!LOL I won't go there again, for she is not nice.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Meri, Janelle, and Christine, I am happy and relieved to see in the preview that you are taking charge of your weight and health. It's clear that Kody is going to take care of himself. You guys are going to feel so much better! You each get three lovely days away from Kody to take care of yourself ( but why not every day?) and you will be amazed at the difference in your mental state as well as your physical health. I have to admit that if you girls start taking care if yourselves, I secretly hope it will upset Robyn's little apple cart. Her passive aggressive fake heart breaks over your jealousy of her is just plain difficult to watch. Robyn can pretend to not be jealous because in her mind she has no reason to be jealous. Ok that wasn't nice, but I really am happy to see you guys say "enough" and take care of yourselves through diet and exercise.

  70. When I first started watching this show, I though ok different lifestyle, whatever. But the more I watch it, all I see is the 5 of them trying to convince themselves this is right. Last night, Meri who was raised in the current faith says, I really just thought he was cute, etc. I think he convinced her to stay in that faith and she had little or no self esteem and stayed with him, because she didn't want to lose her hot man. The he marries Janelle, Meri's ex sister in law! How creepy is that. And sorry Janelle was no looker then, so I do not think Meri ever felt threatened by her, plus they needed her brains. Then comes the dingbat Christine who just wanted to belong somewhere and pop out kids and be the "baby" of the wives. She is now upseated, because he found a younger, attractive wife, who feeds into his garbage an touts his faith, she sure knows how to boose his ego and other things. And he does favor her. Meri is an old shoe, Janelle he goes to bounce ideas off of, Christine is a baby sitter, and Robyn is his favorite. And I think she is full of it as far as you could throw her. By the way who rode in his car with him out to Lovell? I tried to be open minded about this, but all I really see is a bunch of women who lack self confidence, esteem and who are just plain brainwashed. They can sugar coat it all they want, but for all their independence, they are dependent and it's kind of pathetic. And the kids, well the little ones seem happy, I guess, but the older ones, mmmm

  71. "As of 1998 there were approximately 10,000 members[1] of the AUB, most in Utah and Mexico. The headquarters of the AUB is in Bluffdale, Utah, where it has a chapel, a school, archives, and a sports field."

"The AUB has communities in Rocky Ridge, Utah; Harvest Haven (in Eagle Mountain, Utah); Cedar City, Utah; Granite, Utah; Pinesdale, Montana; Lovell, Wyoming; Mesa, Arizona; Humansville, Missouri; and Ozumba, Mexico."

"The AUB has had a temple in Ozumba, Mexico, since the 1990s or earlier, and an Endowment house in Utah since the early 1980s."

    The above is from Wiki.

I mention this because Robyn had a mini-fit and said that their church is hard to find. Well, if your church is only available to those in 9 cities and its that tiny than I wouldn't necessarily brag about it's ability to hide/disquise itself. If it's that tiny maybe that should give you the hint that it IS a cult.

  72. I was online earlier when Christine, Meri, Janelle and Robin went onto the facebook page for a 'chat'. It was very badly organised and basically a lot of fawners wanting the women to say hello to them (?), I don't get why people go nuts over the 'famous' thing, I mean, these women are only famous because they are on a reality show, not because they have cured cancer or anything. I like watching the show but wouldn't break my neck to get a mention from snivelling Robin. Anywho, they are going to do it again next week and while I wouldn't ask the women anything upsetting (because I am nice but also because I see them as victims of their beliefs) its a wonder someone else didn't while the sharks were busy trying to regulate things. I do know that the nutcases who run the page are solely ROBINS friends and I think the other women are a bit busy bringing up Robins kids to be up with the tech thing so let her entrust her 'friends' to do it. They really need to employ some decent PR people while they still have some friends left. Actually, why not let the teenagers run the fan page? I think they would do a much better job then good old Jess and Zeb Daily.

Posted as anon cos I want to keep a foot in both camps LOL.

  73. Hi Anon 7:14am
U are correct about them lying to their "true followers " about this site. Yet they have the nerve to harp about dishonesty! Seriously??
Also someone even suggested that they should sue This site & even people on here for slander & public disgrace! R U effN kidding me?? They do enough of that on their own....lol
I'm thinking the older kids help admin the site too along w/ Robyn's crazy friend aka stage right clinger ...lol Maybe she's hoping to be a 5th wife & play "KodyLand "....Hahaha
Now their FB fans are gushing over the new bbaby's name, Solomon :/ besides it's gonna take more than a name to make him a
a king ...Wow, I would've been more impressed with SAWYER :)

    ReplyDelete
  74. I am shocked they named the baby Solomon. I wonder if she will say it right.

    ReplyDelete
  75. All I can say is, we love our little site here!!! Obviously, some can't take the good with the bad. LOL

  76. The Browns are now public figures so the same rules don't apply to them that apply to private citizens. That's the breaks people!

    ReplyDelete
  77. humm another post when poof, despite it being short and in response to my name being used. Not to mention it was even agreeable to a degree..

wonder how long this one will last..

I am not sure what you are talking about. No posts have been deleted, so therefore, maybe it didn't post correctly?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Folks - when you go to post, it's so much easier if you pick a name.
Joe, Susy, whatever, so others can refer back to your statement.
To do this, when posting, simply pick the name/url --- you don't need an url.
    THANKS!

  80. It's pretty bold to threaten to sue someone for telling the truth. Just sayin'.

If they didn't want unbelievers in their financial business, they shouldn't have filed bankruptcy in a public court. Oh, and they shouldn't have gone on national TV.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I had to go to Facebook to see what all the fuss was about. I learned that there is more than 1 Sisterwives FB page. I couldn't get on the "positive comments only" page as it is not accepting new friend requests (or perhaps they know who I am). So I toodled around the "Sisterwives" TLC-associated FB page.

Hoo boy, there is certainly some "discussion" going on there and it isn't all positive. But nothing about us. Someone compared Kody to a monkey with ADHD. That mental picture will stay with me for a looonnng time.

Maybe I can get on that other page if I start calling myself "The Scarlet P" - or will they send me to the doctor for something like that?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Someone has bought the pack and play off Robyn's list. I think the baby is definitely here!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yep we all would've had a field day w/ Sawyer Brown...lol
It really irks me that they & esp Robyn refer to this baby #17, when technically & blood line right it's #14 ..Yeah I get they all want to include Robyn 's kids & all..so why not just just go the LEGAL route & adopt them, so that they would @least have his last name. Or is that too much responsibility for him? Oh wait, then she prolly couldn't get assistance . Things that make U go
    Hmmm?
It's been quiet on the FB page since late last night ...maybe Solomon has entered the world, or @ least on his way! !

    ReplyDelete
  84. Robyn's children have a father-one that sees them. David Preston Jessop.

I hate it when people get remarried and force the kids to call the new step father daddy.
Remember, she corrected them in the picture naming. Yikes! they haven't known him that long, or that well.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Funny, they never bring up the fact that they have to have multiple wives to get to heaven, or that the wives must be a part of a multiple family to get to heaven.

Or the biggie- that GOD doesn't call you to heaven, your husband does!!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Wow ... To each his own, but one child named Dayton and another named Solomon? good grief I can see Robyn googling biblical names: men with many, many wives. Hmmm, yep Solomon it is. Makes sense in Robyn world

    ReplyDelete
  87. "According to the Bible, Solomon had seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines. The wives are described as foreign princesses, including Pharaoh's daughter and women of Moab, Ammon, Sidon and of the Hittites. These wives are depicted as leading Solomon astray." -Wikipedia

    ReplyDelete
  88. I'm picturing her Googling "Strong, manly person in the Bible," then "Person in the Bible most committed to polygamy." Again and again, she gets Solomon. So that's the name!

I am personally renewed in my (monogamous) Christian faith by the revelation that the person in the Bible least committed to polygamy was surely Jesus Christ.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'm so glad that baby is a boy. I feel so bad for little girls raised like this.

It's hard for me to imagine anyone wanting their daughter to do this. Hey! Maybe that's why we've never heard from the ladies' parents.

    ReplyDelete
  90. The ladies parents are also polygamists, except Janellel, her dad I don't think is and she lost a lot of family supposedly because of her decision, not sure if that is true. I think her mom is married to Kody's dad, Meri is the one who "converted" Kody, Christine was raised in the "faith" and Robyn as well. Who would want that kind of life? Always poor and claiming bankruptcy? One day Sister Wives will end and then what?

  92. Well, I guess we all lost on the baby name.
Solomon sounds like an old soul.
    Dayton, Breanna and Solomon.
    hmmm.
I had to laugh out loud at ole Ken.
Seems to me the town thought he was full of himself. Didn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Kody's Fav, really 700 wives and 300 concubines and the women led Solomon astray! Really. Well. Imagine that. Obviously I haven't been searching the old testatment too much lately. I stay out of that book because so many things get sacrificed. Leave my sheep alone.

Also, yes you can sign on to the positive comments fb page under another name. It's boring, and you need not ever comment.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hmm... I noticed that Meri only shows up in the scene at the high-school reunion. It's never mentioned why she's not there for the boating, parade, and fireworks. They kept saying how they were all there, but in fact Meri wasn't really there. What's the deal?

    ReplyDelete
  95. I'm sorry, but no way in H#$% would my husband be driving a little sports car, while I was driving a huge van with 10 or more kids. These poor women!

    ReplyDelete
  96. I couldn't tell who all was where. Except, of course, the spotlight on KODY. Meri was on the boat, wasn't she?

    ReplyDelete
  97. Did anyone notice Kody was holding Robyn's hand near the boat?

He never did that with the other wives-How terrible for them to have to see that.

    ReplyDelete
  98. And what about Hunter?

    Is he magically better?

    ReplyDelete
  99. yeah, hunter's been taught well by the sister wives to TURN IT OFF LIKE A LIGHT SWITCH. IT' A NEAT LITTLE MORMON TRICK!

that's one of my fave catchy little numbers they sing in BOOK OF MORMON MUSICAL on Broadway right now. love the whole musical!

    ReplyDelete
  100. So it's good? I'd LOVE to see it?

    ReplyDelete
  101. yep! it's hilarious but not mean about the Mormons. It's basically saying, "yeah, they believe in some crazy crap but what religion doesn't? and overall, they're good and happy people."

all the music is wonderful! and so interactive with the singers. it's just really funny. there's a reason it won the tony this year and so many other awards.

unfortunately, it's been sold out through 2012 for awhile now. but it starts out on the road in denver this november i think. just google and check the road schedule. the road schedule won't have the original cast of course but i'm sure it will still be fabulous.

    ReplyDelete
  102. i should say also there's no mention about polygamy tho since it's showcasing mainstream Mormonism who currently isn't practicing polygamy. even tho i know they do still believe in it for the next life.
