In 2011, the Sister Wives Blog started out as a place to talk about the TLC reality show "Sister Wives", Kody Brown and his wives Christine, Robyn, Meri and Janelle. Today we not only discuss the show, we discuss Polygamy in our society, and the public perceptions of the Mormon Religion. We discuss "Polygamy USA" and will be covering "My 5 Wives."

Incest and child molestation is much more common than we realize because it is often not reported. That would not change even if polygamy were legalized, IMO. I don't believe for a minute that sister wives would report their husband or sons for incest.
Of course the sister wives would not report any abuse or scandal to the police, first they would loose there paychecks from TLC, but second Kody won't call them to his planet when he is "exalted like a god."
Incest carries such shame- and I am not defending the mothers, but flipping it just for a moment. Those moms are probably so beat down from their life they can't even help their children, and that defeats them more. most have never been off the compound with maybe an 8th grade education. It's all so sad.
