'Sister Wives' return announcement -- plus news on Kody Brown lawsuit

Update: April 14, 2012 Sister Wives Returns May 13, 2012 on TLC. Check your local listings for time.
Update: February 16, 2012

If you're looking for when the 2012 season of Sister Wives will start, the last we've heard is:
Spring 2012

 ===========================================================

It's been a while since we have heard from the Brown family from TLC's "Sister Wives" -- but we are back with a bang when it comes to some new stories now.
First, we have the announcement that the show will be coming back on the air for an episode airing on Sunday, September 25 -- one that looks to focus on fourth wife Robyn giving birth to her first child with Kody. (She has three children already from a previous marriage.) If you include all the kids that Kody looks after including Robyn's, he will soon be responsible for a whopping 17 little ones.
In other news, it looks as though the State of Utah is trying to get a suit dismissed that Brown previously filed against them. Why? Attorneys are arguing that the Brown family would have never actually been charged for their lifestyle, even if there was an investigation happening that forced them into moving to Las Vegas:

Are you excited to see more from this show soon?

  1. I am interested to see what happens now that Robyn is about to give birth and how the rest of the ladies feel. I, myself would be pissed but with their lifestyle I am sure they will just be totally excited and accept it, we all know that this baby is innocent and we will all accept her/him but how hard it must be for the others as Robyn seems to be Kody's favorite. at least for TV. It is just not not normal to share your husband with anyone else.

Frankly, for me, I love the first three ladies but for some reason, I think Robyn is trouble. I do not dislike her but something is just not right in this relationship.

Whatever, it is sure to be an interesting season.

Again, I have questions as to what happens to babies born into this religion that are not "perfect". Not Robyn's baby but others that have been born into this lifestyle but whom you never see. Sorry for adding this into this post but I did not know how to start a new post.

  2. Exactly, Sissey. It seems she was like, part of the deal to get the show, the Kody fell hard, and is not treating the others right.
Of course they are going to ACT happy, but watching will be interesting!!
Sissey, did you see the baby cemetery post? That seems to be what happens, or on one of the Inside Polygamy, they said that they get no care for children born with defects, even ones fixable! How horrid is that. I'd say it all comes down to a check, sadly.

  3. HE'S responsible for 17 little ones? First of all, 3 have a daddy, whom I feel for. How many does Kody have his name on the birth certificate?
OHHHH That would be a great question!

  4. I can't wait for the return, or for Cynical jinx's posts!!!!

  5. Honestly, I think Robyn looks dorky in that pic- the outfit, the shoes, I don't think she has much style. I will be glad for a new season and some different pictures.

  6. You know, I am and I'm not- I really don't know how much baby talk I can take. Christine certainly didn't talk nonstop about Truely coming, she was a working away daily. If there's too much baby, I might be out of there.

Like any of them have any real fashion sense. I don't see a pair of shoes I would own on any of them...and I have lots of shoes. Lots and lots of shoes...

  8. Good to see someone is finally working in that family.

I wonder about the baby daddy of the pre-polygamy kids. Why would he let his kids be part of this circus??? Actually, why would Robyn want to be part of this circus? This whole thing is just insane. That's what you get for making yourself speak for your whole lifestyle.

  9. You know I am really anxious to see this next show. I don't know if anyone remembers but they showed a "preview" of Janelle and Robyn arguing about I believe it was being honest with one another. Janelle had said something to the effect that she thought they were being more open and honest with one another and Robyn was saying "that's Bullcrap". I like Janelle and I think she is very well spoken. I hope she kinda drops Robyn down a peg or two. I hope we see this in a future episode.

  10. I would LOVE to see any smack-down that takes Robyn down. I'm sure Christine is choking on her "I want to be the third wife" - I would bet she was banking on third being last. Robyn is probably thinking SHE is the last wife.

I wonder how long it will take for her clinging to get old to Kody and him to start looking for a younger model... Needy gets old, fast.

  11. I would love for Kody to go ahead and get 7

  13. I have to say that the comments on here are so insincere! This IS a real family with real lives and they do believe in their lifestyle or they would not be telling the world about it. I just wonder how many polygamist families there really are in this country. Do you really believe a man that supports his offspring and is a part of their lives is wrong? How many men or women for that matter sleep around, have children, never marry and move on? It is sick to hope harm or sadness should happen to any family. These people aren't hurting anyone and don't deserve to be hurt by you!

    1. How are they not hurting anyone, they are screwing up their children's minds with this cult.

  14. I do not believe God wants a man to marry more than once. Nor do I believe that He wants any of us to engage in a relationship with anyone but our spouse. However, this family seems to be a loving family with all the trials and troubles that families go through...with an added twist. I don't think Kody is a typical Mormon though. Most polygamists that have been portrayed in public are living in very small communal types situations which leaves them few prospects for marriages. The children of these unions are not allowed to mix with regular society. Kody's children are going to public school and acting and dressing like most kids. Not saying it's normal or that I agree with it but why so judgemental

    1. I agree with you. I was at first repulsed by the show. I sure wouldn't share my man. I had two divorces due to my best friend at the time. As I've watched the women interact with one another and each other's children, I think they appear sincere and believe their lifestyle is correct for them anyway. It's true, they don't go after the next door neighbor or whoever to live their life because it's better or what God wants. I think Cody makes out pretty good but I still see a freindship or sisterhood that I would love to have.,, just not if it meant sharing my husband. To do this, they have to be committed to one another and their faith. I hope to see many more seasons. I also hope Meri will get another child that Robyn offered to carry for her. I understand the pain of secondary infertility. I see this offer as an offer of sisterhood, or in this case, sister wives.

  15. Kody is an active husband, father, and a man who wants to support his family. He is open about his relationships with all of his wives and they know each other and seem to love each other. They all entered into their lifestyle with their eyes open. It's not something they just decided on a whim. There seems to be some pretty thoughtful planning going on here. Men engage in affairs and have children all the time outside of their marriages and never see their illegitimate children or offer any sort of financial support. At least Kody is taking care of his family.

  16. How do these people make money? They are always talking about finances yet these shows do pay for anyone who appears - even the kids. Kate Gosslin was making $200,000k an episode. Is that why we never see Kody going to work?

I think the only wife that would ever consider leaving - because she can support herself - is Janell. I love Christine but I think she's too hung up on thebeing "a mom" to ever think about getting a job.

Wonder how much of this is staged for show ratings?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, I don't think the Browns are making $200K per episode, but I have seen estimates in the $20K - $50K range per episode. Which is still kind of on the high side. Alex McCord, who was recently fired from RHONY (on Bravo) said her income was about $275K but that was for the entire season.

If you ask me, I think about 80% of Sisterwives is staged. 10% is Robyn making stupid remarks, and the remaining 10% are the teenagers reactions to it all!

    ReplyDelete
  18. My bet is that the 5 adults are making 20K per episode this year, which would be 100K per episode, and that's a good chunk of change. Even if it was 10K, 50 K an episode ain't bad!

  19. POSITIVE THINKER SAID.. wOULD BE GREAT TO SEE THEM BUILD THEIR HOMES AS THEY HAD SCOPED OUT A HOUSING TRACK WITHIN A CULDISAK; IT COULD ONLY HELP FOR THE KIDS TO BE CLOSER AND THEN THEY COULD KEEP AN EYE ON ONE ANOTHER AS WELL AS CARPOOL AND WHAT NOT. i LOVE THE SHOW' BUT COULDN'T IMAGINE SHARING MY HUSBAND AS I WOULD BECOME INSANLY JEALOUS..DO THEY NOT WORRY ABOUT CATCHING THINGS FROM ONE ANOTHER?

  20. I wish the best for this family. Having a large family is very difficult and managing it well is darn near impossible, but this family seems to be doing okay. The wives agreed to the marriage with Robin and she was a single mom struggling! I am sure it sounded great to her. Other women to help with the kids, a husband to love her etc. Shame on those who are hoping and wishing bad things happen in and to the family! This is a family and they are HUMAN BEINGS! LIVE and LET LIVE!

  21. I wish I had the nerve these woman have to be able to put themselfs out there for the world to see as for there lifestyle I would love to raise my children with that much love and help if they are happy so be it I can see how sister wives could work. Keep up the good work brown family I am praying for you.

  23. I must say, I too really like this show. I think it is so interesting. I have been married for 24 years to the same man and can't imagine having to share him with anyone. It must take guts to live that way. Makes for good TV though. So I can't wait for it to return.Oh and as for Robyn? I think she is trouble too.The show was better before she came into the picture. She has really put a wedge between the other wives I think and Kody just seemed happier before she came along. At least that's how I see it anyway. What does everyone else think?

  24. I disagree with the comment that Cody has been miserable since Robyne came into the picture. He favors her and that is where all the friction has come into play with all the other wives. S--- will hit the fan soon, if it hasn't already and that is the reason the show hasn't returned because of some SERIOUS problems!!!

  25. I would love to be a sister wife cody must work (hard) at a relationship with each of his wives. now that is love!! and think of all the girl power in that house!! and friends that understand what i am going though. LOVE IT. i would love for 1/2 of the dads out there to be 1/2 involded with there kids as cody is. if that is what a cult sign me, and my kids, up!!!!

  26. I agree with candy101just~all I have to add is this, most men can not handle 1 relationship/marriage or maintaining, providing for and having a good relationship with 1 child much less 17. I do not condone their lifestyle, but then we live in America where we have the freedom to choose. I do not understand why people have to judge.. it isn't effecting your life at all, and if it is then it is very simple..turn of your television!
