Robyn is Kody Brown's fourth wife. They have been married since 2010. Robyn has three children from her previous marriage: David, Aurora, and Breann. Their lives in a plural family are featured in TLC's popular program Sister Wives.
We just moved to Las Vegas in January and because there really isn't a "Big House" here with four apartments, our family culture is a little different these days. All the parents decided that to make sure the kids have access to each other we will be very accommodating and always give the kids permission to go to the other three houses.
At my house I have a lot of toys, dolls, movies, video games and the trampoline so the younger kids love to come over. Janelle's house has been pool party central. Meri’s is a good place for a kid or two to go over and get special "Meri time", to have more formal family gatherings, and also a great place for the teens to gather. Christine’s has a shallower pool, a big driveway for riding bikes and Christine is always cooking something. So each home has different perks and a different mom to hang out with.
We have found that the ice cream truck comes around a lot in the neighborhood. Since we can't afford it every time, I decided that I would always have popsicles and ice cream drumsticks for the kids to have whenever they want. One of the most favorite Brown family treats is ice cream. A common scene is Kody or Logan standing in front of an open freezer, a quart of ice cream in hand, scraping off the top with a fork. Yea, a fork. So I always make sure I have ice cream on hand for the ice cream lovers, as well. My plan has paid off. I always have frequent random visitors who know their visit will have a sweet payoff!

Someone get a job !
ReplyDeleteWhy can't they get a little more evolved in these TLC posts? Something we all don't know? Come on, TLC, make it juicy!
ReplyDeleteWhat an idyllic existence, living on the TLC cash. What kind of example have these people have these people set for their kids, living off other people's money?
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with TLC cash? who is that different that any star?
ReplyDeleteWhat in the hell is wrong with TLC, is that all they could come up with? Geez, sleeper. I wish they would get into something half interesting. what is their problem?
ReplyDeleteRobyn irks me. She acts like she's so much help, when in reality, they were FINE before. Christine not only took care of all of them when they were little, she home schooled them. so now they are all in school, she needs help? When no one is working, she needs help? PLEASE. This is for the show. I am glad she has toys, who doesn't? She needs to take lessons from Christine, then talk. Really she needs to SHUT UP and let everyone else talk, she always takes over the conversations!
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with TLC cash ? Other than the fact that they were collecting food stamps while collecting TLC checks, the three bankruptcy filings, and now not one of them is employed. What kind of message does this give the children ? What will they do to support themselves when they get older ? Wait for the government assistance check to arrive in the mail ?
ReplyDeleteChristine Brown home schooled all the children ? What qualifications does she have to do that ? Did she ever attend college ? Is she even a high school graduate ?
ReplyDeleteThat's what they've said several times. I don't know what her qualifications are, but there are several home school seminars, kits, many parents get together, etc. I know b/c I taught for years.
ReplyDeleteI doubt that Christine Brown completed any degree other than the MRS. Degree
ReplyDeleteHow they cope...hmmm.. they have 9000 more sq feet, a pool, no jobs, but no money for ice cream? TLC, you you write anything lamer? I would that to think Robyn actually wrote this.
ReplyDeleteIf you put your family out there for all to see, to prove your belief in your faith, why not enjoy the fruits of their labor?
ReplyDeleteThis is not "labor" Janelle Kody. This is grifting. How about Kody repaying all those people who extended credit to Christine Brown - remember that she filed for bankruptcy in 2010, while the family was on the TLC payroll, collecting food stamps? How about reimbursing the taxpayers too for the food stamps ? How about Kody paying the fees of the doctors and nurses who saved his daughter's life last year? How about some of those people who were cheated enjoying "the fruits of Brown's labor?"
ReplyDeleteI bet they don't use it again. Period. At least while they are on the air. Don't you agree they would be afraid to? That might save the US citizens some bucks.
ReplyDeleteTry 27 5 yr olds from all different backgrounds all day in a windowles room, then let's talk!
ReplyDeleteOH, however will they cope? Geez, TLC, you are LAME!
