BROWN NEWS!!!! BROWN NEWS!!!! INSIDER REPORT!!!

Let's preface this all with "allegedly" - it came from a VERIFIED SOURCE!!!

1 – How the Browns were picked to do TLC.
Apparently TLC expressed an interest in doing a documentary on polygamy, and they approached the Safety Net Committee. The Safety Net Committee chose several families which they thought presented a favorable polygamous marriage.

A questionnaire was sent out to 2000 polygamous families in Utah presenting potential families for the documentary series. The Browns received the majority of the votes, and thus they were presented to TLC as the model polygamous family.
2 -  TLC is looking for another polygamous family from the Centennial Park community as they are not happy that the Brown women all want to live in separate houses. TLC wants everyone in one house, one big happy family, but that is not what the wives want. Apparently Kody is not happy that the wives all want separate houses as well. The Safety Net is considering who might be next for TLC.

3 - The rent for the houses in Las Vegas (6000-8000 dollars per month) is paid by the Browns, not TLC, rent is paid out of their earnings from the program. TLC wanted to have them all in one home, or TLC will seek out another family.

4 - Janelle is leaving Las Vegas and moving back to Utah because of her son's mental health issues, might be leaving Kody permanently. Son is distraught over move to Las Vegas and media exposure, is suicidal.

Let's keep Janelle and her son and all her children in our prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. I hope everything works out for Janelle, Garrison (it broke my heart when he was tearing up over the move), and all the kids. I like to snark about reality TV...I figure they put themselves out there, they are fair game---but the kids never are.

  2. Make that Hunter, I'm only used to keeping track of one kiddo.

  3. I'm proud of Janelle putting her son first.

  4. Ms you called shame n them for those kids believing that. Now we know it was REAL for them. I pray for (I asume) Hunter. There's some real problems for the women not to conform and get in one home. Robyn's mess is blowing up the family, and they will be broke in no time. Janelle is a wonderful woman, Kody's going to miss her. Maybe she will get a GOOD man.

  5. If you recall, Christine looked really wonky in those last episodes. Like she'd been crying. But on the flip side, she was the one wanting to go so bad, (unless that was acting). Then she was so cavalier on Access Hollywood. I feel for her, she will have to take care of the children, and if I were her I'd dump Kody in a heartbeat. Sadly, Robyn is probably gleeful.

  6. Can we say Welfare, Again?
Can we see Robyn whining around where Kody can't go (or won't) go take care of Logan. nothing better happen to that boy!

  7. Are you sure this justisn' some hype for the show? If he was really that ill, would they hav lt them show his sister calling him suicidal on the promo clip? Make me wonder.

  8. 1. Like I've said, someone did not choose wisely. The Browns were nothing like the previous polygamist families seen on TLC (and one was from, surprise surprise, Centennial Park). The Centennial Park sister wives lived in one gigantic house, with one gigantic kitchen and dining area. The husband, WAS NEVER SEEN ON CAMERA (didn't want to lose business customers), but apparently was able to provide for his three wives very well. The sixteen children were behaved and when they held prayers, actually paid attention (meaning, they were used to having prayers regularly). I must say that family represented polygamy and their faith in a positive and well spoken manner. The documentary was called Forbidden Love:Polygamy and if you can see the entire show (portions are on youtube) it actually is very good. And I wouldn't be surprised if this family will be chosen (if the Browns are kicked to the curb) because the wife interviewed the most was on the same polygamy awareness committees as Christine Brown.

    2. I read that Kody's favorite show was Big Love - funny, because I read where Anne Wilde and other polygamists hated it as the series priesthood holder (Bill Hendrickson) was not righteous (had pre-marital sex for one thing). So it didn't surprise me that Kody got separate houses for his wives, just like Bill. Unfortunately due to this being semi REAL LIFE , he was unable to get the houses right next to each other on a cul de sac, but he tried. If Kody is saying he isn't happy the wives wanted and got separate houses, it's because he's trying to save his TLC gravy train.

    3. Well, the rent on those houses doesn't leave much for college funds, does it. What a waste, I hope their children who appear on tv are paid and their money held in trust. Guess this means there isn't enough money left over for the Robyn Sullivan Brown wing on the big house in Lehi.

    4. I hope this is true, because it's bad enough she may have lost her job (I hope she took a sabbatical or temporary unpaid leave of absence and her state job is still there) but to also lose your child by following a jerk husband, can't see Janelle falling for it. And I'm getting some vibes that Meri and Mariah are not far behind. Like I wrote earlier, if this move was for the show, the wives and children could have stayed in Lehi, and just filmed their spots with Kody in Las Vegas during summer vacation. Umm, Robyn might get her own apartment in the big house!

If TLC is reading this, please bring on a family from Centennial Park (hopefully, Boyd and sisterwives Diane, Nancy and Ruth) and stop the Kody circus train in its tracks. He needs to concentrate on the lawsuit, anyway. Kody, HAVE YOU FOUND A JOB YET??? Didn't think so.

  9. WOW Cynical Jinx, Can't say much after that. You've hit the nails on the heads.
Except for, if something happens to that sweet child, or if this is a play for ratngs, I'm done. Keep your held held high, your the biggest man of that house! or any other houses! Your character puts your dad to shame.

  10. 1. I thought Kody and the BBC guy were pitching it too? That might of helped.
    2. Too strange, the Brown kids now go to Centennial School, I know it's not the same, but...
    3. I just don't understand this. Why didn't Kodster put his magical foot down and say, that's the way it is, as the head of the family? Janelle wanted it. Robyn acted like she did. Even for the sake of the show. WOW Someone's got some power.
    4. These kids are not equipped to handle all this pressure. Not only are they teens, but ones who haven't even been to public school, much less a school of 2500! I pray everything is ok. But, couldn't you see see somthing like that coming?

  12. Cynical, Great Job. I sure hope you help me write summary posts after the shows!!!!!
My big thought is: Then the women are as silly as he is. 4 bankruptcies we know of, welfare, and Christine is telling us she deserves this? What about the kids deserving a car with decent tires?
    Their money habits are horrible.
I'll pull the films Cynical, so we can watch them on here and talk about them.
Oh, Logan, now I am so worried. I pray it's not as bad as it seems.

  13. Boyd Knutson and his family from Centennial Park are not afraid to speak about their religion on camera. There are three wives in Boyd Knutson's family, an older woman and two younger sisters, and the older wife is not a happy camper since the addition of the two younger wives. The older wife was very bitter in the videos on You Tube. I doubt TLC wants much of that.

  14. It will be interesting if there's a season 4.
Strange, I just saw Janelle on Facebook talking about eating a great mango like there's nothing wrong. She must really be struggling to keep her spirits up.

  15. I agree the older wife was bitter, and she was resigned to the fact her husband brought in the younger wives after 17 years of monogamy. I wish they had all of that interview on youtube because she described how she felt when she walked into a room and her husband was being affectionate to his new wife. Just heartbreaking. But she is still with the family. And I feel this parallels what we have seen of Genielle Brown (when talking about Sheryl joining the family) and even when we watched Meri interacting with Robyn in season 1 (before they became "friends"). It was there, the hurt these women endured in silence. I'm re-watching my DVR copy of the program and the first wife's name is Diane. She also said if she had to come into the family it would be as the 5th wife because all the problems of living in polygamy have been worked out and she would get to reap the rewards of the experience gained from the previous 4 wives learning how to live with each other. Robyn, are you listening? This program plays on TLC and/or Discovery channel occasionally (I taped it in 9/2010).

I really don't think TLC cares about the wife's bitterness - the conflict makes for better TV. Yes, she was bitter and her emotions were very real - something missing on Sister Wives (Robyn, Kody are you listening?) What Safety Net needs to understand is that their cause cannot be served by placing a overspending, bankruptcy declaring, publicity seeking unemployed dumbass as the poster child of Polygamy.

  16. Mister Sister, it would be my pleasure to help you out. Just let me know!

  17. I like Janelle and I think her son is fantastic! I hate that he is suffering and I am so proud of her if this is true. Her son is more important than Robyn and Kody;s Las Vegas Love Escape fiasco!

  19. Wasn't there a family with three wives in which two of the wives are also blood sisters? They call themselves "Independent" denomination- wise. They all are very modern and each wife has at least 4 children. The sisters were once on Oprah and all the committes that Christine was on. Perhaps we can see them.

  20. MS, put the videos on here so we all can talk !

  21. Put up the Boyd Knutson family interview. It is interesting to see what the first wife says about polygamy.

  22. It's seems to me we got off track- a little boys life is at risk, and who know about the others?

  23. Wasn't Big Love based loosly on the Allred's?
Do you all think that Logan is really ha bad? If so, WHY would they let it be filmed Maddie saying he was suicidal? I'm not sure what to believe. Janelle could go back to Utah right now if she wanted to.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Why would Janelle let that clip be put out there if he's stressed from the publicity. Sadly, she's not making any better decisions than Kody. I'd yank my whole family off the air. Why aren't they?

    ReplyDelete
  25. OK, so what else does your source know? Because, Janelle is acting like all is roses on Twitter and Facebook. Even said a few would have a hard time moving back.
IF, that family is TRULY concerned, they will not be filming. But, of course, they have been, Robyn's been yakking about it.

  26. I think many people tend to paint a pretty picture on Facebook. I've had a lot of garbage going on in my life for the past 3 years and I don't mention any of it on there, I private message my friends the details when I feel like it. I think their Twitter acts. are something TLC wants of them, so I don't think they are going to put the nitty gritty of life there either.

  28. I have already posted the one with Christine in it, it's on down somewhere!LOL I am planning to post the other 3 tonight of he same series tonight. Cynical Jinx might be putting something together on the Boyd K family, to go with the clips from you tube. Hopefully, we'll get them all in there! We're trying! THANKS! We appreciate you!

  29. Big Love was based on the FLDS.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I saw a piece on Centennial Park not that long ago...really nice houses.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Free and Clear was correct, Big Love was based on stories from multiple groups, but mostly from the FLDS. Roman was supposed to be Rulon Jeffs, Alby was supposed to be Warren Jeffs. Bill was supposed to be a "lost boy" who was ordered off the compound to reduce the competition. The story line regarding inbreeding was based on reports from the Kingston group. The man who claimed that he believed he was the reincarnation of Joseph Smith and William Wallace was supposed to be Jim Harmston of the True and Living Church.

  32. I wonder if Logan is in MT?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don't think they'll split up. They'll just play it out on TV for ALL TO WATCH. the heck with Logan's feelings. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

    ReplyDelete
  34. FYI - The family is the Boyd Dockstader family, not Boyd Knudson.

    ReplyDelete
  35. What fun, I hope she comes back and tells you more!

  36. If they do cancel the show, I hope Janelle sues Kody for child support and gets a court order in Nevada. If he fails to obey it, the state can file criminal charges against him. OR Janelle can pursue contempt charges. In both cases, Kody could end up in jail. If Christine goes back on food stamps and welfare, the state can sue Kody to get reimbursed on the grounds that Christine would not need the welfare if Kody had paid her child support. And there is no deadline. The state of Utah could go after Kody when he is in his 60s or 70s. (I have seen many cases where that happened.) And it is not a defense to any of these actions that he could not get a job because nobody would hire him because he is a self-avowed polygamist. That would be sweet revenge for the state of Utah for having to defend his frivolous lawsuit.

  40. I have heard through gossip they are using their TLC money, that TLC wanted them all in one home and they wouldn't do it. Nothing like saving for college, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Can we verify which one of Jannelle's boys it is? I know the clip for season 3 shows the 2nd oldest, is that Garrison or Hunter? Prays for all of them, whether it's true or not.

  42. Any update on this? Did Janelle move back?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I haven't heard. I believe most of them spent the summer away- at Utah or Montana. Maybe that gave them the break they needed.
