Twitter Folks Not Happy With Kody

Tweets to Kody about Christine. Just took a few, it's a general consensus. MANY posts. Posters here have discussed this thoroughly.

@realkodybrown I think every woman in America was upset w/Kody for that remark

@realkodybrown that was a very abusive comment and lack of feeling exhibited to Christine. She is beautiful!

@realkodybrown I cannot believe how cruel you were to Christine. Shame on you @realkodybrown It is an understatement that I find you repulsive.

@TLC @realkodybrown you only wear one wedding ring Is that the 1 from Meri? Did the others get you a ring? How do you decide what 1 to wear?

@realkodybrown going to see your own dad isn't vacation for luxury um that would be taking your terrible wife Meri to Mexico twice

@realkodybrown Has your family heard of/ looked into Americorps for the teens after high school and before college

@TLC @realkodybrown Why doesn't Kody do something with his hair. It always looks dirty.

@TLC @realkodybrown why don't they want to know everything about each other no matter how personal it is. As "sister" shouldn't they?

@realkodybrown kody can't wait 4 the truth 2 come out! The DA in Utah was not going 2 prosecute U! Moving 2 Vegas was fake & tore up kids!

@TLC @realkodybrown @MeriBrown1 how do you expect your children to follow in ur faith when they have no community of it around them?
@realkodybrown when your daughter said she never sees you anymore do you think maybe you have enough children now #Blessed (just curious)

@realkodybrown my daughter was in a school shooting. She called us while she hid. We could hear the shots in the background. Guns aren't fun

@realkodybrown 6yrs ago my daughter's world was turned upside down by a school shooting. Guns aren't amusement. Just don't put them on tv.

@realkodybrown Why do you think you can do whatever you want? #sisterwives

@rosecolored6 @realkodybrown You are and have always been beautiful. If Kody was not attracted to you, he was blind.

@rosecolored6 @realkodybrown He looked seriously SHALLOW regarding body size. How can such a spiritual person be so shallow?

@rosecolored6 I am so sorry you had to be humiliated on national tv by @realkodybrown - you're gorgeous!

@realkodybrown There has 2 be a cheaper method of shipping 2 Canada. $60 ring is $76 to ship. That's not gonna happen :(

@TLC @realkodybrown Did you consider finding one property to build one large house for everyone in Vegas like the one you had in Utah?

@TLC @realkodybrown Why they aren't building a single family home with 4 residences and a common area. It would be cheaper & more together.
@realkodybrown @janellebrown117 @rosecolored6 @luvgvsuwngs seems like the homes are way too expensive.

@JanelleBrown117 @rosecolored6 @MeriBrown1 @rosecolored6 @realkodybrown You guys demonstrate the power of communication in relationships. (OK, this was positive, but I got a good chuckle out of it!)

  1. Ha ha -- I always laugh when somebody asks why they don't build another communal home. Everybody knows they don't want to live together. But they are never going to admit to that.

Here's how much they don't want to live together : they could return to Utah, expand their former plig house for a song, return to their former church that they profess to miss and basically live in plig heaven. But they won't because they don't want to live together.

Oh but wait there's more! Why the big houses? Because they don't even want to live as neighbors. The big house is a cookie to get them to move in next door.

    1. Yes! Meri purposely choose a home a mile away from the others, where she can spend time with only child Mariah and pretend she is in a monogamous relationship with Kody. And a couple times a week, visit the extended family

They were never one big happy family. Meri stayed in her little apartment area isolating herself from the others. Janelle's happiness came from work. Christine's came from being valued at home. I bet they were miserable the first month in Vegas in one house, and Kody had to promise separate rental houses to keep them from returning to Utah. Once they had a taste of having their own space, there is no going back (until they are in a horrible financial crisis).

    2. That will still keep the kids separated-not the same.
Remember, they haven't lived TOGETHER that much as a unit anyway.
      Sad sad sad.

    3. So true. I bet that Meri convinces herself that he is just gone on business and will be home soon. She and Mariah probably have a pretty quiet house and maybe Kody enjoys being there and can relax without kids running wild. Maybe that's why he takes up for Meri - he likes being at her house.

No doubt that Janelle, Christine and Robyn let the kids run amok!

    4. I used to think that, but man, I just don't know. I am also baffled they would bring in another wife to "fix" a marraige.

@realkodybrown when your daughter said she never sees you anymore do you think maybe you have enough children now #Blessed (just curious)

Undestandable that Kody would not want to try to justify this, however, it is a root problem with polygamy.
Of course, fatherhhod is a sham, he's probably never with them, and only knows on moms fill him in with in the few minutes he's there, with the exception of Robyn. He is there more than the others, giving more time to kids that are not his. I feel for these kids, and easy to see, the good Lord would not want polygamy in this day and age, nor was it in the new testament.

Great place to talk about twitter!

    1. I hope TLC doesn't start the Browns giving back scenario. I don't believe they ever did, as I do believe the Duggar's. That would be a TLC kill.

      However, fair question

      Delete
    2. Americorp isn't all that peaches and cream. (with knowledge of the inside and out of it) There are many ways the Brown kids can give back and maybe they do just that by being good siblings and good friends.

I believe that the husband and wives situation is un-satisfactory at best; however, I don't believe that the kids should be discussed as they are still in the learning and growing stage of their lives. Let them do it as they see fit and not how others should dictate how their "service to others" should be.

Started this and had an internet interruption. Hope it does not post twice.

Want to say thank you for this blog. I watch the show but new very little about all this. Had no idea Janelle had left for three years and bought a house. Does sound like needing a little space to me. Didn't know Christine has not always lived with them. Separate lives does not sound like something new. How long did they actually live in that house together???

I did see a site that showed pics of some of their recipes. They can't even tell the truth about what they eat. I know that pictures of food are very glossed over, but these showed obvious ingredients that were not included in the recipe. Janelle's hamburger soup was actually a picture of chili with kidney beans and those were no where listed as an ingredient. Everything went into a jelly roll pan or big pot! Reviews of their food were really funny. Keep in mind when you post what is old news for some is actually news for us, and yes..We want to know everything. Thanks again

    1. Records show the house in Lehi was bought in 2007. They act like they lived there long, but it was only 2007-2011

    2. That's interesting, especially since Janelle was listed as the original owner and later added Kody and Meri. Or was her name on the mortgage because by then the other ones had bad credit?
Wonder who owned the house before that one?
Obviously they have moved around...as if they are keeping ahead of ...hmmm, what??
I still think about the crass statement he made when his brothers were there about getting his father to give him money...or was it land?

    3. I love this site! Thanks for all the fun information. I just looked at some of the Brown recipes. All I can say is WTMess!!!! Whoever, wrote those ought to be ashamed. The food is less than wonderful and the description and directions are even worse. Also, what is up with the jelly roll pans??? Do they mean cookie sheets???

    5. Love Love Love this site! Thank you for all the you do to keep it running.

I had no idea that The Brown's only lived in that house for 4 years. They make is sound like a lifetime - I was thinking at least 10 years from how much they talk about it.

Wonder how many times they went bankrupt while living there. In the recent house/land hunting episode, Kody did talk about them being "mortgage poor" when living in the big house.

The years before Janelle are unclear if they lived together or not. But, they certainly have their own spin on things!

    7. A jelly roll pan is the same size as a cookie sheet, but has a lip around it--for making jelly rolls (very thin, soft cake that you spread stuff like jelly on and roll up), which no one under my age(40) has ever made LOL.

      Delete
    8. A jelly (or rather jam) roll was the first think I ever baked, aged 17 (yes, I wasn't at all domestic as a teenager). Just saying.
These days, I only make that kind of thing at Christmas (yule log), but I make bagels almost weekly and the odd cake. My husband and I share the cooking, depending on who feels like it and what we fancy.
It's just the two of us in our household, but many of the recipes we make could feed a small army (god bless tupperware) and none of it is anywhere near as unhealthy as what these people eat.
I completely fail to understand how they can feed their kids on this crap. Is it THAT much cheaper? For the love of Mike, just plant some carrots or something.

    3. Long time anonymous, finally took a name.
He is repulsive because he is not standing by his principles. I so disagree with polygamy in any form of religion, any Joseph Smith based religion. I will see folks I do believe the believe in what they stand for, and have to respect them.

Not any of the Brown family. The guy can not be respected for being this "religious" guy that is sooo religious he hawks businesses that aren't even established. Plays poor boy that can't build a house for contributions, and won't admit he is getting all sorts of freebies. Milking folks out of sympathy money is repulsive to me. The SWCloset, at least it's a business of sorts, if you can call it that. They are lying about being sold out to create a frenzy. What should be said is that they only made a few, and make them as ordered, like many honest businesses do. He is in it for the women. Remember, Meri was the bait? Now he was interested at 14? Lies.
I feel sorry for folks that send their money in to help them build. Just like the so called religious shows. That's what will be next.

Hmmm. Here is something that I don't quite understand. If Grody is going to have his own planet in the highest levels the celestial plane because he practices polygamy, and his wives will be with him if he calls their secret name when they die, why would the same not hold true for his children? They will have their own planets or be called to their husband's planets. And if they don't practice polygamy, they will be on a lower level of the celestial plane. Grody wouldn't really be around them, except at celestial family reunions or if he had a space ship.

    2. Only an (imperfect man) would expect this so called "high position". All deserving. I have watched this program many times out of curiosity, the materialism has spilled over a great deal into these families lives. You can see the change happening right before your eyes. What was good enough then, isn't good enough anymore..reminds me of Jon& Kate Plus Eight, big, bigger..and then boom..no more...it's easy for us to sit and watch and (see the light), money doesn't make everything perfect. I believe one of the greatest attributes to being human, is the ability to be humble, and if we have food and shelter, and our love ones, we should be thankful.

  7. I haven't seen the interview but what exactly was that Kody said it was an understatement?

I read a FB post that said that the whole moving out of fear was totally fake. I agree. Why would they want to move from their congregation and support system? If things were that bad for polygamist there we would had seen an exodus. We know there are more plyg families in the area.
TLC idea? the whole thing about we need to move NOW and can't have people notice that we're leaving because we don't want to draw attention. WTF?
Something else happened. I wonder if they lost their house (were not able to afford their mortgage) and needed to be out by a certain time. The whole fear excuse was just their national TV excuse.
    Thoughts??

    1. They still own the Lehi house.

Plain and simple - Kody wanted to live in LV, that's why they left. The drama was added for the show.

It was for me the first real sign that he cares more about himself than his children's well-being. He traumatized the younger ones by scaring them into believing he was going to be arrested any moment, that they would need to leave at night...and they couldn't say good-bye to their friends...even listening to the oldest kids in this week's interview, clearly they miss their home, friends and church community.

      Kody doesn't care.

There are plenty of interviews where kody and wives admit that Kody had wanted to move to Vegas for some time. Many are linked on this very blog.

      Delete
    2. Here are some of my thoughts on why they moved.. .

Well, reality TV needs drama or we won't watch or discuss it.

Their congregation didn't want the publicity, so that "support" was already gone.

Robyn's family is closer by in Nevada.

After seeing Robyn in her own home, the other wives wanted the same thing. I believe that Meri had the opportunity to rent a house closer to the others, but insisted on a home with a pool that costs much more. It also put her further away from the sister wives that she didn't want to be around (except for Robyn).

The move was a ploy to accuse the state of persecution and collect money for damages or else to set a precedent to have their "marriages" legalized, and thus raise Kody's statue in the community. If they stayed where they were, then the "damages" wouldn't be very evident.

    3. I remember the episode when the older kids went back to visit Utah and visited the "big house." They said on that epidsode that someone eles was living in it. Did they sale it or rent it? The older kids were remarking about how their (new owners/renters) stuff looked better in the house than their own stuff did. Just curious if anyone knows...

I have briefly talked about being on chemo and having breast cancer but I was not going to go into it. I hope none of you mind me talking about this, but I think it is one of many reason why I feel the way I do. I've read a couple of comments here, not many, and read things on other sites that see no problem with their "lifestyle". I hope the Browns do snoop around in here and read this: When I was diagnosed I only had a few days before a double mastectomy to "take it all in". I swore to my husband (stupidly) that he would never see me w/o a top or a wig. I had no idea what I was in for, even with the wonderful prognosis I have. NEVER could I have gotten through this without this wonderful man's love and support. Not only did he see me, he bathed me, washed my hair, cooked my meals, emptied and measured the drainage from the tubes left in, and never complained. I never saw anything in his eyes but love, concern, and yes, fear. When reconstruction was brought up, even though it was ultimately my decision (I decided against it) his only comment was I don't want you going through unnecessary surgery. On no planet can I see any of these four women getting that kind of support from the wannabe surfer, nor from each other. Things like this happen in life and a support system is the most important thing there is. Makes me wonder about Meri's sister. How much did she really have? These women are floating through life right now with problems, but they have no idea of what real problems are and are totally clueless of what they DON'T have. I truly hope they never have to find it out this way. I wish that on no one, but the fact that things like this never seem to cross their minds is unbelievable to me. We all have problems, they have problems, but what they do not have is a true partner in this life. All the bedrooms in the world will not replace that. All the money in the world will not be there for them in a time of need. Nothing can take the place of knowing someone loves you no matter what. My husband worries about me and I worry about him. That is what love is really about, and no love that special should not be shared with other "wives", nor should anyone be sharing a life with anyone that you have to label the relationship. The label is called true love and marriage to one person. Thanks for letting me get that out.

I've always eyeball-rolled and just laughed every time The Browns have made a dig at monogamous marriages. There are tons of monogamous marriages like ours and it's insulting to have them so easily dismissed w/a blanket derogatory statement like they make.

My husband has cared for me in all my pregnancies and likewise in my recent surgery. That's what real men do for their beloved wives. You and I would do the same for them if required.

He, much like your husband, has been my rock, nurse, support, cook, housekeeper, childcare provider. He loves me deeply, and entirely. Today, while washing cherries, I thought exactly the same thing. The Browns have yet to experience a true test. I certainly don't wish this on them, but I know damn well Kody would never respond like a real dedicated husband, because he can't do it now.

What is really frightening is the fact that what we see, is actually Kody on his best behavior, putting on an "act" for tv and he can't even pull that off, who he is in private must be frightening!

Thanks again for sharing, you are a couragious woman with a wonderful and supportive husband and my prayers go out to you for continued progress and many blessings. I too have a wonderful husband who has been my rock in my darkest hour, I am so thankful to know that kind of love especially since I have experienced the pain of being married to an abusive man much like Kody and that one did leave me when I needed him most, after I had a serious head injury and had to learn how to walk, talk, and take care of myself and my 3 sons, my ex left me less than a month after my injury to take care of my 3 sons on my own, this is exactly how Kody would be.

    10. yeah, according to Meri's recounting in her book, the only time her marriage was a state of fun and wedded bliss was when it was just her and the Kody alone. As soon as she succumbed to their agreement about a plyg marriage, the shit instantly hit the fan and Mother Meri, Wife # 1 (lest anyone forget) ain't been happy since.

and Janelle's monogamous short-lived 6 month marriage, by her own admission, was ill-fated from the start based upon obvious incompatibility. Nothing to do with it being monogamous at all.

and it still took her YEARS by her own admission to feel like she's in a marriage w/Kody instead of just a business relationship. after having all those kids with him even. It's just saying alot about Janelle's choice of men for marriage more than it's saying anything about marriage itself for her- polygamous or monogamous.

So, even the two experiences these women bring to the table about monogamous marriages doesn't shoot it down in any way. In fact, Meri's actually speaks in favor for it. As she said one other time, she only practices polygamy cause it's required of her by her religion.

None of these women have shown us by ACTIONS (only in word theory) how great polygamy can be. I haven't seen how it's great for any of them at all. They should at least quit dissing MONOGAMY across the board at the very least tho.

    11. I love my husband with all my heart. We share a remarkable connection, one that is real and honest. Polyg's cannot share that same connection, it's not honest or real because they can't share it in front of each other. They hide sooooo much from each other and lie constantly about things. I catch them covering up lies ALL the time. That is NOT a real and honest marriage. I know that there is nothing my husband doesn't know about me and vice versa. What we have is a "real marriage" where we emotionally fulfill each other and each and every one of our daughters. Can they say the same? I just wish they would get honest with themselves and stop emotionally abusing each other. End this ridiculousness now!

  13. Ok, out of curiosity, I went to the Sister Wives FB page and I could not believe all the comments from some of their fans. WTF these women are crazy. I am so mad right now at just how dumb these people really are. One fan named Bunny stated "I love this show. They have happy well adjusted children and they make their lives together work. More people should watch and learn from them, then maybe if they did the divorce rate in this country wouldn't be nearly 60%." This comment had me steaming and wanting to reply. The like time I replied to their stupid comments, I received some emails from some of them defending the Browns and stating that I was being mean and what business was it of mine to how the Browns led their lives. I replied back that I was entitled to my own opinion and that if they feel that Kody is so wonderful, then they were just as nutty as he is. I personally don't see how women could defend Kodys actions on the show. There were so many comments stating that they went to buy the book and it was sold out. Comments with Meri so deserves a big house. She has had to put up with 20 years of polygamy. There were even comments on how these women seen to get along and work well together. Have I been watching another show. Their Facebook fans are certifiable crazy. Just for fun, I am going back to their FB page and upset some more fans.

    2. Yes, sewcrafty, my guilty pleasure is needling their nutty fans. I wish I had a dollar for every time one of them asked why they don't just get one big house for this big, HAPPY family. One even suggested splitting, moving and adding a wing to the Lehi house in Vegas. Then all their problems would be solved! Delusional, squared.

These people are not role models.

    4. Roughly speaking...divorce rates are 1/2, 2/3, and 3/4 for first, second, and 3 rd marriages, respectively.

The poster who mentioned Kody looking like a Troll was hilariously spot on!! Lmao! :D

      Delete
    4. @ CB, I had a great conversation with my stylist about Kody's hair. We were chatting about the Kody Brown styling process and I was told it was "no wonder" that his hair was thinning. The tossing of the hair, the blowdrying, and then the towel drying/whatever the hell it is are ruining his follicles and causing breakage. If he cut his hair short and started over again, he could probably repair what he has. He needs to shampoo 1x/week, blot his hair after showering, and lay off the plethora of products he's using--- they only damage his hair further.

I'm sorry, I felt compelled to share my fine hair knowledge. *adjusts nerd glasses*

    5. after seeing Kody's brothers with all the same receding hairline and balding pattern, it's simply plain genetics. Not hair care. 1. I have no earthly how in the world Mock Tapioca could be any cheaper to make than Genuine Tapioca. We're talking fake pudding here not fake caviar. ridics.

    2. Re: marriage proposals-- when the show first started, before I smelled bullshit, I made the passing comment to my husband that it would be "so cool" to have a sister wife. You know, someone to watch the kids, do the shopping, cooking, laundry, gardening, and whatever else during the day while we were at work. Except she couldn't have sex with my hubby. To which, my husband said I was looking for a slave, not a sister wife. Also, he shuddered at the idea of another woman in the house. I believe the term he used was "drowning in the estrogen ocean."

      Delete
    3. The "mock food" thing makes sense. Everything about them is "mock", their "marriages", their family life, their religious faith, Grody's hair. The list goes on and on.

      Delete
    4. I have never made or eaten mock tapioca, but from the shot of them eating it (Specifically Kody dipping his giant spoon into the kids' bowls) it doesn't look much like real tapioca pudding I've had in the past. It doesn't have a pudding consistency - it still has a cream of wheat consistency, which means its faster to slurp down all that Mock Tapioca and all those Very Real Calories. I tend to eat real pudding very slowly myself.

      Delete
    5. why doesn't she just call it Glorified Cream of Wheat since that's what it is?? It in no way comes close to tasting like or having the texture of Tapioca Pudding. i forget - it's Christine.

Yes, it's true. Her "mock marriage" also doesn't have the taste or texture of a real marriage either.

      Delete
    6. Christine did Say once she grew up calling it German something cereal so maybe the mock tapioca was kodys idea.

      Delete
    7. As much as I have ranted about the mock tapioca, I have to acknowledge that Christine herself never called it that. In fact, she actually said something to the effect of "It's a cream of wheat thing. our family calls it hot German cereal." The reason they call it "mock tapioca" is because it has beaten egg white whisked into it like 2-step tapioca does, to make it fluffy. It tastes nothing like tapioca, but the texture is actually similar. I have also always served 1/2 as much in a serving as they eat.

      Delete
    8. LINNET - it's on TLC's website under sister wives recipes labeled as Christine's Mock Tapioca Pudding. (that's where i got the name from as well as saw it's just glorified cream of wheat.)

      http://recipes.howstuffworks.com/sister-wives-mock-tapioca-pudding-recipe.htm

      Delete
    9. Anon 9:55 I did know that. :) Just for some backstory (since you must have been spared my rage :D):: About a week and a half ago, I went on a 4 day rant about them calling "cream of wheat" "tapioca". LOL. I was just conceding that it wasn't actually called that by Christine herself when she spoke about it. I think maybe Kodi or Meri or Janelle probably started calling it that a hundred years ago as a joke.

      Delete
    10. I did a google search for it, and of course the TLC web page for Christine's recipe is at the top, but there was at least one Mock Tapioca/Cream of Wheat recipe which predates the show.

      http://www.food.com/recipe/mock-tapioca-pudding-58074

The differences between the 2003 recipe above and Christines - Here are the stats for 16 servings:

      1) earlier recipe 8 cups milk, Christine's - 16 cups milk
      2) earlier recipe 1 cup sugar, Christine's - 2 and a half cups ! whew.
      3) christine's has a dash of salt, none in the earlier recipe.
      4) earlier recipe 1 cup dry cream of wheat, Chrstine's 1 and a half cups
      5) earlier recipe 4 eggs, separated; christine's has 8 eggs
both recipes have 4 tsp vanilla
the earlier recipe states to serve chilled, Chrstine's at room temp.

obviously the servings are 2x larger at the Browns. hmmm.

No calorie counts for Christine's version, but the food.com version states 187.5 calories per serving. Chrstines is probably 400 calories a serving as she is using more than twice the amount of sugar in hers.

I mean he is compelled to tell everyone he has 4 wives, why not tell everyone the website?

And to be fair, the website can be hard to find. I typed in Google "my sisterwive's closet" which isn't the name, I didn't realize it was actually "My SisterWife's Closet" (singular wife) and google auto corrected and pulled up "My Sister's Closet.com".

  49. Not offered to us Canadians on Netflix.. am a member and have tried :( But thanks for the suggestion. Have heard they will be rebroadcasting the episode soon so hopefully after that it will be available online free :)

Yep, Christine pretty pissed by that situation but the look on Meri's face priceless and really hit home how she wanted Christine to suffer from the marriage. Bitch. She was really having a hard time wiping the smile from her face.

Meri may have only had one kid from the relationship and has bled that fact dry. Sad but you would think after all these years she would have come to terms with it and SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT IT by now.

Her daughter has not suffered from the situation and Meri might want to remind herself of that fact. Her daughter never has to fight for a bathroom, share a bedroom, or the family income for her needs.

I was blown away by the idea that not only did Meri want a big ass home in the family 'cultasac' but that her daughter desired a room that did not face the sun.

REALLY?!? I grew up in a family of 6 kids, never in my life did I venture to pipe up that in our new home that I wanted to have a room that did not face the sun. I was given a room and a sibling in which I would share room with. Period. Did we live in a nice home, well yes, we did. My father worked at a blue collar job for many years managing the money well, scrimping left and right for us to grow up where we did.

So when Meri turns on the tears that she cannot have multiple children and the only way she will hand over her earnest money is after she convinces everyone else that all she needs is a new big ass house with a 'wet bar' and patio I just want to kind of punch her.

OK Meri, (and all the other wives married to the loser Kody) you are unemployed as is your 'husband'. Please tell us what lottery you won to deserve what you are wanting?

Dude, she's totally hittin on you like, can't you take a hint? She wants to be like what # 5, 6?
Grody Dude, you were SO at a bar! You're busted. What are yer Old Ladies gonna say 'bout that? Oh, yeah, nothin' cause you will just write them out of the script.

    3. Was he having a drink there or ice water? Also, was he flirting back with the women? Is he as grody in person as he is on tv? What was he doing there anyway, with 4 wives and kids at home?

    4. I agree - I think he's checking out the local talent in LV. He's so high on himself & thinks he's God's gift to women, and apparently some women believe it too, if they are throwing themselves at him to be wife #5. He might be tapping, uh 'courting' several. It's probably easy to fit in extracurricular when your schedule is erratic & spread out over 4 homes like his is (and no job). I also agree with a previous post that if he does marry again, it will be a much younger, hotter wife. Just saying.

  53. Meri's reaction to the others not wanting her to have a 7 bedroom house was ridiculous. My god woman, get over the fact that you could only have one child. You now have a chance for in vitro, but don't want it? yet still cry about having only one child? I can't believe she thinks she should have a huge house because she keeps her things nice. What a shallow NON RELIGIOUS witch. WHY DOES SHE FEEL SHE DESERVES A HUGE HOUSE? she only has one child and that child is almost 18. Wet bar? WTH? for what you don't drink alcohol.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree. I have no idea why she would want a wet bar when they don't drink.

It's like demanding to have a tennis court if you don't play tennis, never intend to, teach your kids not to and it's against your religion - just a waste of money and space.

I also don't know why she thinks she "deserves" a big house because her plan was to have 8 kids. I mean we all had plans when we were little or growing up, some work out, some don't, some change, some we are glad didn't come true.

She might have had 2 kids, realized they bickered a lot and messed up her furniture and CHOSEN not to have anymore. She doesn't know if she would be happier if she had 8 kids of her own. She's so controlling, they would probably haven driven her nuts - they all couldn't be Mini Meri's.

Plus when they were looking at that 7 bedroom house, Kody was really pushing it on Janelle, not Meri. He wanted Logan to have a bedroom and an office - nothing to do with Meri living in that huge house alone.

    2. By Queen Bitch's logic, I deserve a Manhattan penthouse. I wanted to be a world-famous whatever, but it didn't work out. Why should I be penalized? So very stupid and SUCH a parasite.

    3. Honestly, I don't think that the real issue is of Meri having a big house even though she only has one child. It's the fact that none of the Browns are working and are being extremely facetious and gratuitous about it. If they can afford all of those large houses, more power to them but considering that they have used government aid and bankruptcy many times, people don't feel the Browns "deserve" those houses. I look at it this way...how many celebrities have huge houses/mansions when they live only by themselves...do they really need a $10 million dollar mansion (Jennifer Anniston)? And many of those celebrities have several houses...we don't really question that because...well...they are celebrities, they can afford those...but in all honestly I don't think that John Travola needs homes in Florida, California, the Bahamas, etc...but he can because of money. And who knows about the credit profiles of these celebrities either...they pay people to protect them and their privacy.

    4. Though the editing makes Mariah look spoiled, it's possible there is a medical reason she needs a room that isn't in the sun. For example, if you have lupus, sun exposure can cause permanent skin damage. I would guess they wouldn't want to go into detail if she has a medical problem.

      So we really don't know.

    5. I used to work at a financial institution that had the account of a once major celebrity/entertainer that fell on hard times and declared bankruptcy. The entertainer's credit card went bad, but the entertainer would pay it occasionally even though they declared bankruptcy on everything else. Several management types propped the entertainer up and didn't cancel so the entertainer continued to live large with 0 cash on their credit card. When the main office discovered what happened, the management types who allowed the entertainer to live large on credit all got fired. But guess what happened to the entertainer? Nothing. In fact the entertainer is still living large.

    6. "Though the editing makes Mariah look spoiled, it's possible there is a medical reason she needs a room that isn't in the sun. "

It's simple for anyone who lives in the desert Southwest. The room that faces the morning and especially the afternoon sun gets really hot. I mean oven HOT. And if you had parents like mine, I wasn't allowed to crank up the old central AC unit - the electric bill would be out of this world. It was terrible. So I understand Mariah's request.

      Delete
    7. I understand Mariah's request, but it's a silly request considering there's 7 rooms to choose from. I sometimes think the producers say something like "Meri, you have to say something, it's your turn," and then they can't think of anything quickly, so they say something ridiculous. And if they truly acted as a family, that would have been the last thought on Meri's mind. I put myself in her shoes and I would've been, you know, I really don't care what lot. It's funny, they started this show out to show the world what a great family they are, yet they're not.

    8. Well the thing about is that really it is more important for the sun not to be in a baby's room than a teen's room. Honestly Christine and Robyn should have had first choice on the sun issue.

But really, I think it was a lie that Meri made up on the spot. She didn't mention the sun at all until Robyn pointed out that she wanted lot 6 and explained the sun. THEN Meri was all, "Oh, Mariah only made one request, that she not have a room in the sun." If I'd been Christine I'd be like, "You're never going to believe this but Aspyn asked me the same thing!" Janelle could have said her teens asked for the same - then what? I mean noone WANTS a room full of sun in the afternoon.

I mean seriously, Mariah's room is not that important - she is almost grown and out of the house. I'd worry more about the babies' or Savannah's room.

    9. Hey Chubby Nacho, you made some really good points up^ there.
I've even had time to rationally think about the Meri/big giant house crap enough to realize that in this subdivision it appears that they couldn't opt to build a smaller house even if they wanted to.
It's their crazy cul de sac mantra that forces Meri to defend the too much house issue. What's she supposed to do, go live around the corner in a 2bd apartment? This is the insanity of the 4 custom homes IN a development that offers only a couple of choices.
Brilliant idea Browns, hold fast to the way of life that genuine movie stars have to actually work at achieving.

      Delete
    10. Honestly and without a smidge of snark I really really think the unrealistic dream of the 4 custom houses is a ploy by their fearless leader for someone, anyone, to give them the houses. I think they rag on it endlessly, disguised as their wonderful collective sisterwifey dream but I sincerely think it began as King krody's brainchild and the others hopped on it because hell yeah they like living apart and hell yeah they like brand new houses.
Who wouldn't? They've got their very own manchild PeterPansy telling them that it's possible and he turns his face into the camera every chance he gets to make sure that every single person watching knows it too.
Does he think TLC and backers will buy them the homes to continue the storyline? Does he think that their fans will give them money? Does he hope the developer will give them the homes?

    11. Anonymous 1:08, I'd be willing to bet that if Mariah had a medical condition that required a cooler room, they would have mentioned it at every opportunity. They play up every other problem, real or imagined. I don't think there is much of anything they wouldn't do to garner pity. Anything to sell ugly jewelry or whatever overpriced crap they're pushing.

  54. This is off topic for this thread I know, but there was no space to answer on the last one and I think it is important-Lobotomized asked June 30, 2012 2:47 PM
"Ex AUB I have a question for you about something that's been on my mind for a while and maybe you can give me some clarity about it.
Kody and his wives are not the brightest bulbs in the pack (and I'm being nice!) however they are MASTERS in bleeding the beast. They know every hook, loophole, rule and way. I know "bleeding the beast" is part of their religion, but to what extent?
Do they have sermon/classes/talks on the subject? Do they get together once every X days or every Thursday night to study it/learn about it? Does the church have booklets on how to fraud the system? What do you know about it?"

As much as there are massive problems in AUB, there was never a time that Welfare was encouraged, and "bleeding the beast" is not a part of religious belief like it is in the FLDS. In fact is was actively preached against - people were told not to take anything from the government. The reality was though, that there was a great deal of poverty and men often could not adequately support the women and children, (which is really not surprising), so some people did use government assistance to survive. Definitely no "booklets" or "classes" - just the expectation of obedience to polygamy, which in itself is the problem in my opinion.

    1. ExAUB. Thanks as usual. I'm always glad to see your responses, even when they contradict what I spouted LOL. I'll always defer to your actual experience over my academia (actual victimized human trumps bookish nerd everytime!):D. It is obviously true that every source who has written/given interviews on the topic has had an axe to grind with the AUB "Priesthood". Perhaps all that passing women back and forth between clans has gradually produced a general acceptance that welfare is just how you manage a household. A woman generally runs her household the way her mother taught her. As far as the Browns--The AUB also preaches (or so I understand) that the man is responsible for managing the finances of all his wives--and the Brown women all clearly run their households "independently" of their husbands.

    4. I think this is a big deal - I mean think about it. Christine is getting Kody all to herself, over the July 4th holiday, in Disney Land no less. It is far enough from home that unless the other wives pack up and haul down there, they don't get to see him on this holiday.

I see this as a "makeup" vacation.

  60. When you look at Mariah's twitter @mariahlian, there is some girl named Chelseigh Hunt that keeps calling Mariah "her sister" and Meri "her other mother".

Chelseigh is bascially on all their twitters and makes remarks about how much she loves her family and then includes people like Meri, Mariah, Aspyn, and Christine in the post.

Even so much that Meri tweeted 15 hours ago, "Been a busy week, looking forward to a few vacation days with family. No mtgs, no appts, only family. :)"

Then Chelseigh replied and said, "@MeriBrown1 you forgot a daughter".

Interesting. Is this someone who wants to be a sister wife with Mariah? Someone who wants to be the 5th wife? Someone who wants to marry Logan or Hunter? She seems very tight with the family.

She's also friends with them on Facebook and they keep their Facebooks personal.

    [Christine tweeted the following]:
"I told @AspynBrown that I honestly didn't care if she got good grades this year as long as she got best hair. #not#shallow"

@rosecolored6 @AspynBrown Good grades are just as important as hair.

@rosecolored6 @aspynbrown people don't remember you for your grades... they aren't important anyway! #not #really

@JanelleBrown117 @LuvgvsUwngs @MeriBrown1 @realkodybrown @rosecolored6 love seeing your dreams of houses become reality . Wish I could help.

    3) Meri [@MeriBrown1]

@MeriBrown1 @LuvgvsUwngs who would I need to contact about presenting my custom accessories for consideration on your sister wives site?

    4)Robin [@LuvgvsUwngs]

@LuvgvsUwngs I have a friend who looks just like you!

@LuvgvsUwngs U think that if they can make a vacuum that you don't have to touch they could make a robot to do laundry!

*Additionally, there were loads expressing trauma that the season was over, a few about the awesomeness of MSWC, many obvious "MLM" relate tweets, many other suggestions for what Robin should do about her painful laundry experience, and many responses about how awesome Christine was for wanting Aspyn to get better hair compliments than grades.* Slow day, but plenty of stupid to go around :D
