Tweet Tweet Sister Wives

We haven't done tweets for awhile, and here is a ton of them! Thanks to Funky Town for gathering them for us!! Tomorrow I am having some minor surgery so hope to be back on later tomorrow or Thurs. Will be interesting to see what you think of all these - Some really cute pictures. Happy Reading!
I wonder what???

Beautiful photo of homecoming (maybe?) goes with this tweet. It's Instagram so I think you'll have to download it?

Several tweets follow Meri's about the apron, but she doesn't bother to answer anyone:

Soon? Shouldn't it have been up there in maybe August or September?

It's MY design - haha!

Oh the irony that Mary retweeted this:

  2. Dear MS,
Will be thinking of you tomorrow with good thoughts that your surgery goes well and that healing will be swift and complete. Rest up !!

  4. Said the woman who gave birth on TV, who shares a putative husband with three other women and who revealed her sexual history to her young children in a sermon: "Note to those who design costumes for adult women- Really? I am married and a mother. Why would I want to show off that much of my body?"

Really Robyn? This is what you are concerned about?

    2. so is she saying that she dressed immodestly like that and it was ok in order to snare a husband but not now that she's done so?? i thought their religion taught them to dress modestly even before they were married?

    3. Robyn is such a dumbass!!!

    4. I personally think it would have been hilarious to see her dressed up as a big purity cookie monster! Of course she also could have pulled out the modest wedding gown since she just loves pretending she's married.

      Delete
    5. I 100% agree with robyn the costumes you buy for adults are shameful for a day that is suppose to be about kids. I am only 24 and have never dressed up for halloween as an adult because the expectation is to be a slut and wear as little as possible.

      Delete
    6. You took the words right out of my mouth.

Anyway, I think it is more shameful that she talked about how her first son was a mistake and how she felt "pressured" into sex on national television.

Also, I think showing your coochie on national t.v. while giving birth is showing more than any Halloween costume I have ever seen out.

    4. They are meant to be witches fingers. I made them for Halloween as well. It is basically a shortbread type cookie dyed green, the "fingernail" on mine was an almond sliver, I can't quite tell what she used as her "fingernail" though.

      Delete
    5. What? It's monster fingers.....I've seen the stores around here selling cookies like that too....

    6. I think they are supposed to be witch's fingers. Usually the nail is made with a slivered almond.

    7. they're her witch fingers. she's always made them for halloween. the green glaze is new, though.

    8. if she's always made them for Halloween, you'd think she would have mastered the simple feat of making them obviously look like witches fingers by now. no interpreting needed re:this recipe below. :D

  7. Wonder if Meri's goal is to go back to school and finish her degree? Hope so! That sure would be a step forward for her.

    1. She would be so much happier as a person if she went back to school and finished her degree. Or even if she just got a job or volunteered her time somewhere. She needs to get out of her toxic home environment and focus on something other than Kody, who/what Kody is doing, and Mariah.

      Delete
    2. We don't even know for sure if she even finished HS. People can say anything they want about school & jobs don't make is so.

    3. It's no telling what Mary is hoping to achieve in the spring of 2015. If I were to make guess though I would bet she is hoping to have Janelle and Christine run off by then lol. I think she just tweets all this stuff just to make them wonder what she's plotting against them now. Could be that she's got her eye on the next woman for ole Kody too. Either way it's bound to be something to take a jab at the least favorite sister wives.

Is is Aspyn talking about sorority sisters?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yes she is talking about sorority sisters.

    ReplyDelete
  11. is robyn at the autism speaks walk? seems that would be a nice fit for her to do some charity or outreach. Given the poverty these people came from, and their current platform, one of them at least should be paying it forward

    ReplyDelete

    1. Not to mention, she says in a very early episode that Dayton has Aspergers which is a syndrome on the autism spectrum. So it would be something that would be personal to her family as well.

    2. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I thought it was, ummmm, interesting that Aspyn said "my family", instead of "some of my family". I didn't look at the pic that closely but it seemed to be primarily Chrisine's bunch. Natch Kody was nowhere to be found.

    ReplyDelete

    1. That really stood out to me too, that Kody wasn't in the picture. He misses out on so much because he is pulled in 4 different directions. Nothing is going to change the fact that he has 6 kids with Christine and only 1 with Meri and Janelle. He needs to go where his kids are.

I can understand why Christine is so depressed.

      Delete
    2. Kody has 6 with Janelle, not one.

  15. "Kody gets silly when he drinks too much caffeine"... seriously? It sounds like Janelle is talking about a child instead of a grown man with 4 women and 17 kids. They better limit him to drinking green goo water from now on.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Boston Corgi,
I so agree with you !!!
This season Janelle appeared to enthusiastically take on the "prop Kody" role.
Pitiful and embarrassing for a woman and mother of 6 to put her energies into fronting for a man (debatable) who has no job, swings from McMansion to McMansion, and who actively plays the part of the buffoon.

Sorry, Team Janelle folks.....she is no Mensa candidate or financial wizard.

      Delete
  16. Regarding the comment about Kody and caffeine. So that's TWO things they do in their "religion" that Mormons don't do. Polygamy and caffeine.

(Yes, I know there are a lot more than two, but these are two they admit to.)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes isn't it interesting AZ Christian, that polygamy was vital to keep but the health laws of Mormonism were not. Pretty telling

      Delete
    2. Back a million years ago when I was growing up in the lds church a woman came from Salt Lake City and gave a talk and pointed out that the anti caffeine issue really dealt mostly with coffee and tea because "If you weren't allowed to have any caffeine you couldn't have chocolate." That made it all feel extra silly that we were splitting hairs about where our caffeine came from. I recall that the church only ever had non caffeine sodas around though, orange or root beer.

      Delete
    3. Do they also drink? Or was Meri's wet bar just for virgin margaritas?

      Delete
    4. Meri has already addressed the "what's the wet bar for question" on a show. She claims it's simply for more counter space.

Probably for the green goo literature when they hold introductory meetings to rope people into it at Meri's house.

Then again, it could be Kodouche and Sobbyn are sneaking in and putting it to other uses when Meri's gone from the house. He has a key to all the houses you know. (Hanging out at Meri's house would provide them with privacy from Sobbyn's kids - not that hiding her sex life from her children ever was a concern of the purity princess.)

  17. Concerning the AUB and polygamy (I am sorry, this isn't about the tweets above)... In the Brown memoir, Robyn talks about the time she met Kody at a church dance (if I remember correctly), and she claims she had a "spark" between them. I find sad AUB that claims to have "good polygamy", creates social functions and opportunities for married men to browse among women. How sad, degrading, and emotionally traumatizing to know that everywhere you go (and even at church functions) your husband is always "looking". Here is another example of abuse and it is within ALL polygamy. (I will gladly paint it with a "broad brush.")

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If you had read or seen the complete information Kody was at a party at a friends house with his wifes when one of his wifes (Meri) told Kodi "You should go ask her to dance". Only then he did and the courtship began between Robyn and Kody...with the encouragement of his wifes.

When Robyn tweeted this I replied with the comment listed below. She immediately blocked me, but it gave me a good laugh. She wants the world to think she is such a reserved, godly wife and mother, but the internet tells the world a different story. Saying it is so, does not make it so!

  21. Robbyn and Meri both wear their clothes very tight thus not being modest. If you can see every bump, lump, toe and more then you do not understand modesty. Halloween? Really? Mormons and AUB dress up at Halloween? A lot of churches dont do halloween. Funny that these really moralistic modest women dress up and encourage this practice. Again makes me think they dont really belong to any faith except that of pleasing oneself.

And Janelle thought wearing a Catholic nun's habit was a funny Halloween costume. There are so many other interesting costumes out there. Why do something disrespectful to other people's religion by mocking their religious garb? Seems kind of hypocritical to me - given all the whining they do about being persecuted for their religious beliefs.

  24. Way to work your creativity, there, Robyn! I've looked through the costume sections of pattern books in fabric stores, and they are CRAMMED with perfectly modest women's costumes. What about Christine's Rosie the Riveter outfit? Be Raggedy Ann. Be a southern belle or a clown or a poodle or a hobo or Nancy freakin Reagan. Be a tree, for crying out loud.

Maybe she should stop looking for a costume at Frederick's of Hollywood?

Speaking of costumes, interesting that Janelle was dressed as a nun--because making fun of other religions is hilarious! I'll bet if she saw someone dressed in a wacky Mormon temple outfit, with the little apron and flat chef's hat/veil with chin strap she'd think that, too, was a great Halloween getup.

Wonder whose McMansion they'll celebrate Thanksgiving in this year? I imagine Meri's is the default go-to house since the wet bar is there. We know who will be the biggest turkey there, anyway......... Kodgobbler Brown. Sample Thanksgiving menu for them:

Turkey (Purchased at Honey Baked store by Kody with Janelle's credit card).

Green bean casserole (Robyn will bring since she's too pretty to cook and it only involves opening up cans).

Stuffing (We'll leave this to Christine since it involves actually cooking skills)

Marshmallow covered yams (Meri will run out and buy these from a deli but pretend she made them ala the caramel contest incident)

Pumpkin Pie - Janelle will have her mother bake these for her to bring.

Kody will let Sobbyn Robyn pull the wish bone with him the next day since she's the only one whose wishes he cares about.

  27. I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but I've always wondered WHY VEGAS? Even if we buy into the story the Browns tell about having to run from from the law in Utah, I don't understand why they would choose Sin City. It just isn't a great fit for people who claim to be religious and if I were a fundamentalist polygamist (or belonged any ultra-conservative religion), Vegas would be the last place I would move my kids. I don't know much about state laws, but if Nevada is more tolerant of polygamy, could they not have chosen someplace in the state that isn't close to Las Vegas. It would also have made it easier to purchase more affordable housing and perhaps even build a large home to accommodate them all.

My theory is it is where the D-List celebrity agents are located who can get them the cheesy personal appearances so they can make money without having real jobs. I also have thought for a long time (although other people have disagreed with me) that what do you bet the film crew filming them finds it easier to fly in/out of and stay in Las Vegas. I mean really - what was there to do in their small town in Utah?

      Delete
    2. I wondered that also, not a place for fundy in any religion. I think it has something to do thats where Lovly prude Robins family lives. Plus plgys have lots of business's there. I could be wrong at leadt onece a year

      Delete
    3. I think that was all storyline. I've read Carolyn Jessop's books and Rebecca Musser's book, and it doesn't appear that Utah or Colorado actively go after polygamists at all. The only reason Texas did was because they found proof of child abuse (even that got messed up because of the size of the situation) I think they really are part of Jeffs' clan, and are doing the 'good' PR jig, so the public doesn't see the prairie dresses or underage marriages or child or spousal abuses, and let it go. That makes more sense than Utah going after one small potatoes family when there are thousands more in the state that would net bigger rewards if they were to be prosecuted, based simply on the plural marriage issue (you know, like the ones with underage brides? Just sayin) I agree about Vegas, too - who would CHOOSE to live there when they are supposedly soo conservative, much less broke?!

      Delete
    4. Simple. Cuz Kody wanted to live in Vegas. He was enamored with it. It's ALL about what Kody wants. What is best for the family or the children is of no consequence. Although IMO the kids are better off in the Vegas public school system but that was not a consideration I am sure.

I am so over this patriarchy crap--in all religions!

Interesting thought, I did not think of it that way. But I think if they were with Jeffs they would at least try to look a little more modest.

  29. Las Vegas isn't only home to the Browns. Flora Jessop wrote about contacts there helping people escape the FLDS. An article about a Jacob Jessop indicated he might have brought his wives and children to live in Las Vegas as well.

    Here is the link:
http://www.8newsnow.com/Global/story.asp?S=4937132 (Jacob Jessop apparently moved his family nto Las Vegas, built additional buildings on the land without approval... and is a licensed building contractor from Colorado City. That makes him FLDS). Flora Jessop also wrote about polygamists and escapees from the FLDS living in Las Vegas.

  31. No state taxes. They are saving a TON in taxes. Also, there is actually a pretty big LDS population here. Vegas, in general, is very tolerant. It's so big and diverse that you almost are certain you can't be discriminated against (by schools, any kind of company, etc. We do have racists and intolerant individuals but that's the extent of it.)

  33. The episode where Solomon was born is disturbing. I'm re-watching it now. KODY justifies the gross kiss with Meri as "being engaged" and that it makes for a more loving environment. HE THEN REFERENCES how when Christine was in labor with Truly he was off kissing Robyn, and concludes that all of them "love eachother". SAME EEPISODE MERI is making comments about a.) She doesn't have a close relationship with any of her sisterwives but does with Robyn, b.) How Janelle won't get up in the middle of the night when King Solomon is born and Meri isn't surprised, c.) How she wasn't really excited about Truly being born and didn't act the same way with Truly's birth as she did with King Sol's impending birth. HOW CAN THEY ACT SO PASSIVE ABOUT THE DIVISION OF THE WIVES AND HOW MUCH THEY REALLY DISLIKE ONE ANOTHER? I think Koleen was right "sister wives hate each other". Robyn's after birth remarks about Hunter are hideous, and LOL at Meri buying five outfuts and a giraffe and putting them in her craft/junk closet to "make room" for King Sol. Where are clothes for Truly? I cannot stand their cruelness. Christine said earlier in the episode that she had previously blamed Robyn for being Kody's favorite wife --she hit the nail on the head! How Christine was treated during Truly's birth was completely different than what happened with King Sol's birth. So sad.

    1. They don't like each other...and in no way shape or form can they deny it. The "Tell All" with Natalie Morales pretty much summed it up. You can't tell me that living closer together...an ear shot away or peeking through their blinds have made them "SO HAPPY". The little "marriage encounter" they took at the end of the last season confirms that they are for sure no more happy now then 3 years ago or 20 years ago when Kody married Jenelle, then Christine.

  35. Thanks for posting these, I don't go to twitter. Yes, I think we've all learned that Kody has become a narcissist. But what man wouldn't become one following the religion? It would be hard not to be one.

  37. I wonder if there is a time when none of them know where Kody is...I could just see it and imagine them all getting worked up and wondering if he went to find # 5.

    1. I don't know what the current situation in the cuddlesac is like, but we know that when they lived in the rentals, the wives didn't really communicate a whole lot among each other, they lived very separate lives. We also know that they do not decide the "rotation", but that Kody is the one deciding the rotation.... so back in the rental days for sure Kody could be spending the night with a vegas hooker and none of them would have a clue! That must be a lot harder now, now that they all live together in that cuddlesac!

  40. So, here's my thing about the man having all the power. Let's just say that the man dies and goes to hell...then the wives are called to hell to be with him? Or, let's say he dies and goes to planet Kody...and once there, he's like thinking he doesn't want Meri...does he just not call her?

    1. What if he has so many wives he can't remember all their names and innocently forgets to call one of their names? And yeah that would suck if your husband doesn't call your name if he doesn't want you... Must be the reason for "keep sweet"and all the catering to the husband.

  41. I hope that Christine realizes that working mothers connect with their children just as much as stay at home moms, if they really work on it. Look how much Maddie is like her mom!

    1. I think the fear Christine has of working, has more to do with the fear of the outside world, of different opinions, of being convinced to leave (remember, even her own mommy left polygamy) than with the fear of she and her brood not bonding...

    2. I think Christine is just too lazy to take a job outside the home. Either that or she's just scared to death of alarm clocks as well as toasters.

    3. Christine uses the words ":not safe" a lot along with "too much work" I wonder if she considers being on the show and couch sessions too much work, Maybe she thinks having Kody as a husband lol too much work, so therefor she doesn't try. She did say in one episode that their relationship was discussed that she just quit trying, it was just too much work. When Kody calls her a "princess" I wonder how he defines princess.

    4. I'm gonna cut Christine some slack because let's face it - Janelle had effectively a stay-at-home second Mom watching her kids when she was working outside the home. Who does Christine have at this point? Given the relationship the wives have with one another, she does not have the same kind of support.

  42. Real love takes patience, constant nurturing and work. It depends on commitment and strength. It sometimes takes self-sacrifice. Psychopaths can tempt us with instant fulfillment, instant commitment, instant passionate love that require no work, because we’re “meant for each other,” because this is “the love of our lives”. This promise is not only a false and dangerous illusion, but also rests upon a fundamental repudiation of true love and of reality, flaws and all.
