Fresh from Lourdes Ritz-Carlton:
This just in...What reality show star who's past history has been less than on time...in fact long LONG overdue, has recently been "leaned" on. Hard, real hard. No, it is not a Darger. Just file this under "Lean on Me".
From the same reality family.... they need to watch those parking tickets YOUCH! They could pay for alot more than a name change.... which is exactly what one member of this groups person finally got done.
Sister Wives Season 4 Spoilers:
"Sister Wives" is coming back for season 4 this summer. It will return on July 21. On July 2, Broadway World shared some big spoilers for this upcoming season of the show. Are you ready to see it return?
They will be working on their new business My Sisterwife's Closet and trying to start using it to help pay their mortgage. They will have four very large house payments to find a way to pay.
Spoilers also tease that Meri Brown should finally decide if she will let Robyn carry a baby for her and Kody. There is also a big surprise coming that says it will help rebuild the closeness of the family. What could this be?
In the Video it looks like homes, possibly failing jewelry business, and that darn surr-0-gacy will be the focus. Can they drag that out any more?
Let's play change that song! Take a song and change it into a polyg song!

Are you serious? We are going to have to go through the suurroo- GATE again? UGH!
ReplyDeleteSo, a "lean" (Lien) has been filed against one or more of the Kotex's. That did not take long. I hate to see anyone lose a home, but my goodness, buy something you can afford! I have yet to comprehend how they got these loans and approvals anyway, given their lack of income's and resources. Perhaps Kody should of invested in box cars ala the Crawley way of budgeting. The naivette of thinking a half assed internet business would bloom into an empire astounds me as much as buying mansions prior to having the income to afford them. Is the "surprise" a new wife or a new baby?
ReplyDeleteI had a gossip report that someone had left their job in Las Vegas to "live" with the Browns... unsure how true it is but might be something they cook up for ratings.....
DeleteSince the Brown's live IN Las Vegas, and since we wouldn't have a clue who this was until after the episodes aired, why would she have had to quit her job? Robyn couldn't get anyone else to watch Sol while she 'works'?
DeleteShe must fit right in, quitting her job for no good reason. Can't wait to hear Janelle's take on having to support someone else... being as both Janelle and Christine both HAVE real jobs now.
Maybe she was getting paid to film? I know... a life coach! Wonder what she was doing before Mister Sister?
DeleteMister Sister's report may be this girl, named as Gina Wilson below, who has an online jewelry business. Storyline would be how they have remodeled their business and ooh... it's so much better! Bleh. All they are trying to do is make money. The production team must be smashing their heads against the walls of the new mcmansions.
DeleteIf they start just cooking up stories, like this girl for the business, they are losing the "why" they agreed to film. In the beginning, Kody said they only accepted filming to show how they were just like any other family in many ways.
DeleteWe didn't get to see the young children last season and the older ones in spurts. They are losing what attracts the TV viewer.
It will be interesting to see if the gossip was true.
I agree the the Browns have overspent on these homes. Would it not be hard to sell 4 homes that all look alike on the exterior for 500,000? I would not spend that kind of money and be looking at copycats right next door.
I am not sure what she did before, I was just told that a friend that worked at a large hotel in Las Vegas was talking about how someone (a lady) left his friends' employment to "go live with the Browns." So it's thirdhand info, not enough to get a post, yet worth posting. We will see!
DeleteI wish I had a TV show to promote my internet business. They really need to examine more options besides the joolery. They could make a recipe book of Janelle's weight loss recipes or something. Not sure if anyone has suggested that on here. They better do something before this season is over. No one wants to hear about Meri's surrogacy stuff anymore, they drew that out way too long.
ReplyDeleteI think they have somewhat worn out the selling game. The TV audience doesn't forget. In 3 short years they have tried Pampered Chef, MLM LIV, and jewelry. They need to forget selling and pick a job that they actually work and get paid doing. I hope folks don't go for whatever new line of jewelry they are going to sell because they lied about sales before.
DeleteA baby or wife seems too predictable for what will unite the family...I'm guessing an engagement/wedding of one of the kids?
ReplyDeleteNah kids are too young. They're all under 20 aren't they? with only a few out of high school?
DeleteBut then again they are mormons...
uh, they're NOT Mormons.
DeleteThey are Fundamentalist Mormon although I don't think they go to church at all, and I bet they are not tithing although that is conjecture on my part.
DeleteI see Kody becoming his own church.
All cults are started by narcissistic people.
To me, leaving Utah has made them lost in their religious beliefs. I'd say they were shaky there. The kids, however, would have much more education in the church in Utah being in their schools at least in their elementary years.
The big surprise is going to be a huge wedding/ anniversary party or vowel renewal with all the wives and Kody. I remmeber them talking about it at their reunion special.
DeleteWow, Janelle posted a pic of them on twitter and I must say she is looking much healthier. As for the song: In the tune of Little Bunny Foo Foo-
ReplyDeleteLittle balding Kody
Hopping down the vegas strip
Scooping up the females
and bopping them on the head
Down came the 1st wife who said
Little balding Kody
You had best listen to me
quit scooping up the females
and bopping them on the head
I'll give you 3 more chances
but if you don't behave
i'll make your life hell.
I had received the Twitter photo as was working on it as you posted! Good song!
DeleteNow here is some news.
ReplyDeleteI wonder which one has a LIEN on their property? Obviously Robyn has the name change. You do have to watch those parking tickets in Las Vegas. My sister lives there and they are strict in her gated community about parking on the street, a huge no no.
As far as the previews, I don't know why I am shocked they are dragging the surrogacy out 3 seasons, but I am. The homes we knew were coming. I read somewhere that the jewelry business was a bust at a convention, only selling 19!
It's public record. There are three judgments filed against Robyn's property - a hospital bill (with her ex-husband as the second party, so it's probably about one of their three kids), and the HOA and the water company.
DeleteRobyn - step away from Victoria's Secret!!!!
AZ Slight correction. There is ONE lien against Robyn Sullivan of Sister Wives, not three. The other two are another person. You always have to check those links.
DeleteI stand corrected. The others are a different parcel number.
DeleteHard to believe there are two deadbeats with such a unique spelling of their name in Clark County.
The Browns did not think about parking for so many teenagers in a small gated community. The cc&r's of the community would have spelled it out clearly. Home owner associations are very aggressive about this in order to maintain value for other homeowners. Once Robyn was on television getting a half million dollar home im sure the creditors came out in droves. Her credit was probably cleaned up enough to get into a hard money loan. They made decisions on these houses based on wrong priorities. It was obvious the closet business was not attended to and Meri resented picking up Robyns slack. There is a business here in AZ called my sisters closet. They ripped of the name to begin with, overpriced their crap and expected the money to roll in. Meri will resent Kody bailing out Robyn once again.
DeleteThe HOA has no faith the parking tickets will be paid or they will not park against the rules of the HOA
DeleteSo is the lien based on parking tickets, or the hospital bill?
DeleteI doubt that Robyn has been doing ANY shopping at VS since they moved into those houses. if the mortgage payments are as much as I think they are - most of their budget is going into paying them. I'm sure they get tax benefits of some sort or other, but still they're cash-poor I'm certain.
It's a shame we don't have access to their sales record with LIV. Usually, MLMs have some sort of publication or (I imagine) a website link with the rankings of the top "consultants" or whatever they are called in LIV. it would be interesting to know the real figures of what Kody/the Browns are actually pulling in.
So it was the HOA that wrote the tickets, rather than the city of LV? interesting.
The "lean" was a hospital bill. I'll have to check with Mister Sister because I'm not sure if the tickets were issued for cul-de-sac violations or on the streets of Las Vegas.
DeleteWhich reminds me...Where I used to work, security would drive through the employee parking lot issuing "warnings" for expired tags and out of state plates. About once a month, the city PD (they had their OWN DAMN PARKING SPACE) would pop in occasionally to give out real tickets. It was funny watching people running to the parking lot to drive their cars across the street to park at a strip mall to avoid getting ticketed. Those were the good old days.
Polygamist Princess, MisterSister already answered that question
DeleteHERE
I checked with my sister and in her community, vehicles must be parked in the driveway, never in the street or yard. Four vehicles to a home, period. From what I saw, you can't say where they GOT the tickets, it may have been anywhere. We are guessing it was at the gated community when it could have been in town, at school, etc. They have what, 6 teen drivers and all the women, plus Kody, that's 11.Anonymous below stated the tickets were $2,670. And, one teen got hit twice for no insurance. That really is the parents job to make sure all vehicles are insured. A teen can't have the car in his/her name until 18.
DeleteSomehow, I see this as just another example of how NOT living in the same home makes much less time for conversations about these things. Living next door to each other DOES NOT constitute living together. I have lived in the same place for 2 years and I only know 1 neighbor. These women do not have to see each other if they don't want to. I think the kitchen was a great example. If you can't share that, how can that be more important than sharing your man?? Share the damn kitchen! Having separate homes means separate lives. Kody won't be saying prayers with all the children at night nor tucking them in. It simply doesn't bring the same sense of family into play. Sisters and brothers are not mixing near as much, eating together less, just mingling, less.
IF I were going to be a polygamist, then I say be one. Live together, have more fellowship together, eat together, pray together. This is 4 separate families leading 4 separate lives and 4 separate pocketbooks. It's sad really to think before they were all together, and now, these women have a scent of greed and now want to out do each other. Can you imagine the competition going on as far as decorating goes? 4 houses alike? WOW I bet Meri was in overdrive. I would like to see them all together again.
Song:
ReplyDeleteGangnam Style: Hammon Style! (Throwing boots)
You know, I am not feeling the drama they are trying to create. How many families would love to have had the economy boost they have enjoyed by having a show, not working, enjoying life. I bet it's Robyn in trouble. She doesn't seem smart enough to clear her credit.
Thanks for the scoops!
That's funny! Throwing that boots around in a circle!
DeleteIf I have to watch Robyn in tears crying over this I might choke. If she spent half as much time thinking about and working on her past debt as she did drooling over a new home because Kody promised her to make all her dreams come true she wouldn't have this worry. My gosh, the rental homes were very nice! Why couldn't they just wait. The distance wasn't that big of a deal.
Yawn... almost everything in the show is such old news to us. Everyone knows what happens with the houses. And all the drama about affording them is so contrived; they're making plenty from the show, not to mention all the dribs and drabs that may be trickling in from their other pathetic schemes. And if I hear about the 'surrgicy' one more time I think I'm going to scream. As for the last picture above - Kody looks like a strutting peacock, showing off to the females. Yuk!
ReplyDeleteA lien, what the hell? I'm sure it's small potatoes for them...wonder which wife is due to file bankruptcy...most likely the one who is holding the credit cards. I'm still puzzled on how they got those oversized, wannabe McMansions.
ReplyDeleteThey have shown me absolutely nothing appealing about polygamy. Would rather spend eternity with the sinners than the saints.
Song: you ain't nuthin but a hound dog
You ain't nuthin but a jealous bitch, crying all the time.
You ain't nuthin but a lay and you ain't no sister of mine!
I can't remember what I used to post under to I am picking KodyKardashian.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it sad the production team could only slough together have a commercial using old clips? I swear, this surrogacy issue might make me quick watching. Over and Over you have to hear it in commercials. Would much rather hear about the little ones growing up, as we have discussed in the past, we barely saw the 6-10 yr olds last year. I thought this was a family show not a soap opera. The Browns don't produce enough family thoughts to make it one. No surprise that there is already a lien against a house. Cut out those trips to Disneyland Kody!
Who got all the parking tickets? And why did it take Robyn so long to change her name? Is it expensive?
Shoot, I don't have a song title to go with it, but a song for those girls praying for a man and believing they are to go to an older man when the Prophet guides them this way.
ReplyDelete"Revelation For a Retro Righteous Man"
Nothing this grifter bunch surprises me, but I enjoy hearing about their news.
I think Janelle looks great. Although her hair color does not complement her complexion at all. Her trainer Sean keeps tweeting about the new season. Obviously, he gets some air time, otherwise I don't think he'd be so excited.
ReplyDeleteA couple of interesting tweets today, Meri tweets how she hates the anxiety caused be misunderstandings and she knows that is all it is. Maddie retweeted something from Mindy Jessop where she is thanking life speed fitness. I just wonder who this Jessop is and the connection between the Browns personal trainer and her.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the "surprise" is a recommitment ceremony. Didn't they say something about that in an interview?
ReplyDeleteSong: Three little pigs
ReplyDelete"Three Little Plygs"
Boy, they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. If they only spent as much time on their show as they do their business, they might have success. Oh wait, the business is failing. Says something.
Thanks for the Scoop! Had to join the group!
They're back!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe how the thoughtful documentary on Centennial Park makes Sisterwives look like the "The Real Sisterwives of Las Vegas"; all the dysfunction and artificial drama has made me dislike these people even more.
Polygamy USA has brought a good education even though it guarded and highly controlled, it at least shows the tenets of the religion, families praying and some of the rituals that have not even been touched on by Sisterwives. As creepy as the sacred crayon scroll of Michael Cawley is, it is still better than selfish people picking out yet another luxury that they have not earned.
It was interesting to see the families of Centennial Park start with their religion and concentrate on their beliefs instead of ridiculous high school drama and selfish pursuits of the Brown family circus.
I just saw the commercial on TLC, yuck, not sure I can tune in even if it is just for their short 6 episode season. Do we know if it will be the quick month and a half of couch crying or possibly a full season of ten or so episodes? Either way I say their 15 minutes of fame is way over and the Browns need to start their trek back to Lehi.
Well said Lisa!
DeleteAgree with you there Lisa.
DeleteOn the commercial I see on TV, not this one, it shows them letting balloons up in the air by the new homes. Even that's a repeat, last time it was kites!
Yes, this family is on with the Kardashians as far as drama and fake scripted issues go. Too bad the Brown's don't have a ball busting manager like Kris Kardashian to get them endorsements and publicity.
DeleteI still think if this family had gotten a decent manager/agent in the beginning they could have made a pretty penny because they were the only polygamous folks in town with an interested pubic-until polygamy U.S.A. and the Dargers came along to show them up.
Polygamy USA is much more family orientated. Enjoyed it much more. Come to think of it, they were family orientated and not trying to sell us anything.
DeleteI guess they remembered their goal!
Polygamy USAshows families living the plural family lifestyle. Since leaving Utah all I see on Sisterwives is one man with four separate (dysfunctional) marriages buying things they can't afford and looking for ways to get rich that don't involve JOBS.
DeleteSister Wives is much closer to the Kardashians than to the wonderful production of Polygamy USA (which was much too short IMO). Unfortunately, it's the Kardashian style shows that bring in at least some ratings and I guess that's what has given the Browns yet another season. I'm willing to bet that the trailer of Kody yelling about someone creating drama is enough to peak the interest of some viewers to tune in. I agree that Polygamy USA was much more enjoyable, and I really hope it will be renewed.
DeleteI agree, Polygamy USA was more documentary and less circus. Would love to see more of it.
DeleteThe now-rediculous Brown family, however, still does hold my interest. Much like a televized police chase, it shouldn't be watched, but yet there it is in my living room!
I think Janelle and Meri are probably around the same body mass index thingy. Meri carries her weight lower than Janelle does, but if you normalize for that I think they're about the same.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is that Janelle continues to loose and Meri seems to be going in the other direction.
Wonder what Meri will do with her time once Mariah goes off to Utah in a month and a half?
Eat the pastries displayed on her wet bar. Looks like she is already started.
DeleteI want their dirty financial past to be brought up in public. I am so sick of reading comments around the web about how financially responsible they must all be to be able to afford those big homes. Ugh, here I am sitting in my tiny apartment saving my money and trying to be responsible, it is frustrating knowing that people scam their way through life and never get called out on it.
ReplyDeleteI think this a pattern of theirs showing total lack of financial brain power and responsibility. I was shocked to see these people putting their washers and dryers on their mortgage. Im not surprised to see they have allowed a lien to be placed on an overpriced box of a home. How much you wanna bet the lien is for less than $10000 but they still take vacations to Cali and Disneyland - but it does seem they haven't been to Disneyland for at least a month. Anyway that lien makes it easier for them to walk away from those houses once the show ends.
DeleteTheir old bankruptcy papers can be found on one of the first posts on this blog
DeleteWOW Robyn has a hospital lien from her and her ex husband? how did that escape the loan? if she had a judgement or lien prior to closing it couldnt have been titled...if their plan was to refinance that would never work without paying it off. Something is fishy on this. Remember when Robyn said she wouldnt let her past affect them getting these homes? I wonder how many more of these past debts are out there and if this is the source of Kody and Meri conflict? There was alot they did not know about Robyns past. Robyns income could be tageted next..how did they let this get this far when these homes were supposedly so important? did Meri put her foot down about bailing Robyn out?
DeleteWhen I saw that she and the ex were both named, and that it was for the hospital in Vegas, I figured it must have been something having to do with one of their kids, and the debt came up after the divorce and the acquisition of the McMansion. If he still has their trailer, there's probably a lien on it, too. Unless he paid his half (depending on how the court ruling is worded, it could be an either/or, not half/half).
DeleteI guess the children do not have health insurance? Expensive home but no health insurance..smart
DeleteI may be naive here, but what does having a lien mean and how does this happen?
DeleteIn my simple terms, a lien is a notice attached to your property telling the world that a creditor claims you owe it some money. You must have a clear title (no liens) before you refinance and or sell the home.
DeleteI have a friend who has something to do with home loans and I remember her telling me a few years ago that medical bills do not count against you when purchasing a home.
DeleteI happen to work in the medical field and I know that when we have a patient that doesn't pay their balance (large amounts) our collection agency just attaches a lien to their property if the patient refuses to respond or make payment arrangements.
medical bills do count because just like any other debt it can (and did in this case) become a lien.
DeleteMy foreclosure atty two cents worth on this...medical bills/liens count when you're getting financing, but...even though they put the lien again your house, it doesn't actually do what's called "attach" to your home. There are only certain types of liens that attach and would keep you from having clear title to the property, and liens for medical bills/hospital liens are not one of the types that "attach."
DeleteSeems to me it doesn't matter if a lien attaches or not...in the court of public opinion a lien still says they don't pay their bills.
DeleteJanelle looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else find it weird that they have not announced their 7 new items on their facebook page or twitter yet? They have for every other piece. Because they are so expensive? Or re-branding with the meeting Meri was at? hmmm
ReplyDeleteThey might be waiting until the show starts in 3 weeks thinking they will get more sales. But unless they have upgraded their server for more traffic the mswc site will go down as usual. That means lost sales. Meri or Robyn will then go on FB to plead with fans to try again in 24 hours.
DeleteThey should already know their branding is Sister Wives. Unless Kody is now demanding to be in the picture too which is the kiss of failure and bankruptcy.
Did anyone catch what Christine said to Robyn at the table? I listened a few times and still couldn't get it. "I never intended..."
ReplyDeleteHaving an online business is hard work and you have to be willing to CONSTANTLY hustle if you are going to make any money. All things considered they do as well as a lot of the people I see on Etsy.
They are delusional if they thought they could support themselves on $200 necklaces, though.
"I never intended to give more than this..."
DeleteThanks, I couldn't understand her either. Christine still seems to hate Robyn. I really hope this season shows some new stuff. I would say I will stop watching, but that would be a lie, so I just hope I don't get too bored. This board is the best part about the show!
DeleteIt sounds like Christine was saying she was never planning on doing more with MSWC (maybe because she has an office job now with 'regular' hours?). I did like her saying that if she wasn't rolling her eyes and groaning, that was a good meeting. Christine has always been funny, that cracked me up! But now she will have to do another cross stitch pattern picture to present to Robyn since she almost wrecked the family by not supporting MSWC...the Christine Apology Tour Part Two.
DeleteHope they didn't snip clips and mix them up, I hope that's what Christine said about her interaction with Robyn. Robyn needs her wings snipped a bit. She comes into the family and acts like she's bringing so much to the table; she takes Kody's attentions, time with the kids, money, and adds another one to the brood. i just don't care for that girl.
DeleteNo education, no experience, yet she's going to start a business?
The Christine apology tour, part 2 ....SNORT! Good 1 CPACarol
DeleteGlad I wasn't the only one who didn't catch what Christine said. You think she was referring to time or cash as well? They probably have had to invest some of their own money to pay their vendors before reselling the "diamonds".
DeleteI loved the snarky comment from Christine in her own private talking head. She is so funny. I think the show will be much better if they have more of these private talking head sessions lol.
DeleteWOW what a huge disappointment! They are seriously STILL going to make the surrogacy a story line? We have discussed this to death, it won't be happening. Most of the clips are old ones from 1-2 seasons ago. We all know that the stupid joowlry business is continuing because they just tweeted about how excited they are to revamp the business. And I agree, the 'big announcement' will be the recommitment ceremony they hinted about awhile back. If there was something bigger and more enticing, why would TLC not be putting that in the clips? From what they show, it's hardly anything new.
ReplyDeleteBut on a positive note, Janelle does look great and I think that Meri's 'sprinting' which is so much better and harder than jogging..well doesn't look like that's working out for her.
Sadly I think Meri's idea of sprinting may be a quick jog from her master bedroom suite to her refrigerator for a snack. She's.got that middle age spread to deal with now...
DeleteI like that idea CJ except I was thinking she might have stopped at the wet bar on the way back to the master suite, just to hug it mind you.
DeleteThe pastries on the wet bar never stood a chance
DeleteWhy would they create a whole episode or story line for a "Commitment Ceremony" if they can't even show it on TV. That's what they did for Kody and Robyn's "sealing ceremony"....they didn't let the camera's in for any of it.
DeleteGoodnight!!!! We don't have to watch 4 women argue and fuss over what they are going to wear or what they are going to serve at the reception....Do We???
Wait....a commitment ceremony........who's being committed (loony farm)
The marriage and sealing ceremonies are sacred in their religion and can't be photographed. This commitment ceremony was an idea prolly from the producer and Brown family that I believe was first brought up by Christine.
DeleteYou betcha cameras will be there filming.
Whenever Meri talks about running I think about Penny from the big bang theory: "I just run til I'm hungry and then I stop for a bearclaw".
DeleteI love Big Bang Theory, that is the perfect comparison!
Delete*laughing*
So they are still plugging those horrible necklaces? But 'tout' a new line?
ReplyDeleteFunny, when they were first selling them they were always selling out, or were so according to them. I call foul on whatever they say. Can't believe a word out of their mouths.
Thanks for finding this clip! Hadn't seen it.
Why is everyone so ~sick of the surrogacy storyline~?
ReplyDeleteIt's shocking, but some aspects of reality shows are actually based in reality! Rare, but it happens.
It's a legitimate life decision Meri is making. Because Meri is Meri, she's thinking through the decision on her terms and not according to any TLC filming schedules. Besides, she had to spend the last half of the previous season fighting for a wet bar. Now that it's settled, she has time to think about surrogacy. Priorities, people!
I don't think anyone here is judging Meri or surrogacy. The fact is that Solomon is 21 months old now, time is ticking for Robyn who wants more children. Meri is now 42. She's had PLENTY of time to decide this. Robyn appeared to be pregnant last May/June/July which may have been a surrogacy pregnancy...seems sadly that something happened to that pregnancy.....I suspect most here would be very supportive of surrogacy.
DeleteEveryone here is just sick of them dragging out a storyline. This word has been said so many times on clips and commercials it's almost like brainwashing or mind control. It seems they have nothing else to offer us.
Now, off to make up some songs!
Meri had plenty of time to decide whether she was going to take Robyn's surrogacy offer or not. We do NOT need to ocntinue seeing it. Solomon is almost 2 years old and she's had since his birth to decide this. If you wanted a child I don't think it would take 2 years to say thanks Robyn, let's do this.
DeleteShe's dragging it out because then it's all about her. Also that extreme focus on her having a wet bar tells me exactly where her interest in having another child lies - waaaaay down the priority list. Behind a wet bar for sure.
This might be harsh but in reality can they afford IVF? If they have a lien on one of their homes they shouldn't be spending 20,000 on the possibility of another child when she has all of the bonus children. I know it is harsh but it is reality.
DeleteHere is how I see the surrogacy story line:
DeleteKody wants an endless stream of children. That is mostly why he brought in Robyn.
Robyn doesn't want to be the brood mare, but she doesn't want to say no to Kody.
Meri is tired of being kicked in the teeth each time another wife gets pregnant.
So Meri and Robyn team up to play the delay game for the surrogacy for as long as they can because it suits both their needs
As far as finances, why start worrying about that now? Never mattered before..
I don't think Meri has had "plenty" of time to decide.. It's a big thing! It shouldn't be taken lightly. If Robyn wants to breed on her own, she can either withdraw her offer or say that she can do after her next own pregnancy. Nowhere when Robyn offered did she say that her uterus would be available for rent at anytime! She stands, as I see it, free to have get pregnant and varry her own child while Meri is thinking about it.. When someone offers something like this, it has to be done when it's convenient for the surrogat to!!
DeleteI think when people are saying they are tired of the storyline, it's not so much a critique of her thinking about it as it is of the producers need to show us all this thinking!! That is my frustration anyway, think all you want Meri, but find something else to talk about on that damn couch!
With due respect to FreeChristine, I think Meri had very little time to make up her mind once Robyn made the offer. Meri is 42 years old, and spent the past two years at Disneyland and designing her new home, while at the same time, she has no money to raise a special needs child that might result from in vitro at her age. The whole thing is ridiculous. If she had any interest at all in that child, she would have made an appointment with the in vitro doctor the day after Robyn's offer to at least extract her eggs.
DeleteTheir jewelry is awful and way overpriced, but I have a feeling that this next season is really going to get them sympathy which relates to sales. They will milk the need for togetherness so much that their delusional fans (the ones that ask on facebook/twitter to be wife #5) will buy enough of their overpriced products to keep them in those homes for the time being.
ReplyDeleteWhy not? That's the same thing they tried to do LAST season - try to get people to buy jewelry out of pity. yup.
DeleteThere is NO WAY that they will ever have any significant income from their jewelry. NO WAY.

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the new commercial. I didn't see anything on there that makes me want to watch the new series. Not surprised they are rehashing old news. Most of the clips are from old shows. I really just want to see how the kids are and get a good look at Janelle.
ReplyDeleteKody Brown family culture crumbling..homes are gonna fix this..so how is Robyn having a lien gonna affect that? I bet the wives are livid if Kody pays that debt for her..or bails her out financially any more than he already has..Christine sounds like she can barely tolerate Robyn.
ReplyDeleteMeri sees a booboo immediately upon walking in the door of her home under construction? Can you imagine what she was like to work with with the builder? What upgrades did she add after the fact?
ReplyDeleteThe upgrades are not for Meri to enjoy long term anyways but for the person who buys the house at the auction.
DeleteSomehow I think she does not merely wants all these upgrades for herself but it is Kody who wants all of these upgrades, because remember, the only house that's his is Meri's!
Good point about Kody possibly wanting the upgrades and why.
DeleteKody has a gift for letting his women catch all the PR flack while he just acts clueless, fluffs his air and is never held unaccountable.
Oh God !! Not again !! Not the simpering, whimpering, tear-wiping, mascara smearing with Sobbin Robin and Miserable Meri. Pullezzze, NOT Again !!
ReplyDeleteIf Sobbin Robin wants to lend Meri her uterus, then damn it, just do it.
Do it quietly and do it privately.
If they need to do *that* with cameras and fanfare to get ratings, then they are really ARE twisted sisters.
I just want to say that I love this blog when the topic turns to the "sista wives". I laugh out loud and get such a guilty pleasure from reading these posts! Bring on more episodes TLC so we can revel in the escapades of our favorite Kodettes.
ReplyDeleteabout the group photo - yes, I have to say that Janelle looks much better than she did.
ReplyDeleteout of all of that group including the unrelated chick, she's dressed tidier and more put together than any of them. Agree her hair would look better with some lowlights. But I have to also point out that she's standing differently from the other wives particularly Meri and Christine. All of the original 3 wives have big tummies and standing sideways is NOT flattering. Meri and Christine come off the worst in this pic.
But Janelle - half her body is hidden behind Kody's portly frame. She's standing in a pose that makes her legs look thinner than the others. Her clothes fit better. Meri's jeans look like they are at least a size too small. So anyway Janelle is just better dressed and standing in a "thinner" way. I'm not saying she hasn't lost weight, but...
I agree with you, DJ.
DeleteJanelle does look better. The color and style of her top is very flattering, as is her pose, which IS more slimming compared to the others. She looks good and good for her, but I don't see a major weight change.
And what is it with Meri always wearing her clothes too small? All that does is draw attention to her girth.
Remember her electric blue bandage dress with leggings from last year? Nice dress if it had been the right size, minus the leggings.
Amused, my guess is that Meri is like a lot of people (including myself when my weight is up). If she's able to squeeze into a smaller size of jeans, then damn it, those are the ones she's gonna wear. OR she's wearing jeans she bought a while back when they actually fit. They don't fit now, but since she can still zip them up, then she's going to wear them dammit!!
DeleteWithout a doubt Janelle is a little slimmer. From the tweets of her trainer Sean, she IS working out and maybe even working hard. Unfortunately for Janelle, if she wants to lose weight, she needs to reduce her calorie intake. working out is GREAT, but to lose weight, at least 80% of it is nutrition/diet involved. Maybe she IS eating healthy, but even eating healthy foods, too many calories can still make you not lose weight. I'm guessing Janelle isn't exercising a lot of portion control and counting her calories. She's heavy enough where by now IF she was really watching her intake (I'd say no more than 1300-1500 calories/day) she would be down at LEAST 50-60 pounds by now - at least hovering around the 200 mark, maybe even a touch below. To me, based on myself, she's still significantly more than 200 pounds, but then again so are Meri and Christine.
What we see as far as her weight loss IMO is due to exercise, but exercise alone can only do so much...Sean must know that, but I'm sure he also knows he can't force Janelle to keep her calories down. She's gotta want to do it herself...I might sound harsh, but I've been there, done that.
No, I would NOT buy a "weight loss recipe book" written by Janelle.
But at least she is working out. That at least is better for her overall health.
DeleteAlways thought even at her highest weight, Janelle is the prettiest one of the crew. She's naturally pretty.
Wonder what happened to team Janelle and Christine/Realtors Extraordinaire?? Has this been added to the ever-growing Kodyworld list of hyped ventures that go nowhere?
True she *is* working out, but unless she's significantly reducing her caloric intake, don't expect to see a huge loss.
DeleteThey aren't Realtors - they just have their real estate sales license. They would have to be members of the National Association of Realtors in order to use the term. Just sayin'.
"They would have to be members of the National Association of Realtors in order to use the term"
DeleteAnd we know that somehow they always seem to miss a step or two or 10 when it comes to following through with their projects.
I like that Janelle took the hard route-hard work and portion control. So many just go get sucked, plucked, and tucked.
DeleteMS - even for those who go the surgical route (weight loss surgery) they still have to do the work and many regain much or even all of the weight back - Carnie Wilson being a high-profile example. Also, plastic surgery isn't a weight loss method, at least that's what my plastic surgeon said. You might get a few pounds removed that way, but they can easily come back if one doesn't adhere to lifestyle changes. (And the weight comes back on in different places that might not necessarily be attractive - again Carnie Wilson).
DeleteI had a tummy tuck in 2003 but that was almost 13 years after I lost most of my excess weight (high of 265, currently 143) to remove excess skin and tighten up muscles which had separated due to carrying so much extra poundage. One of the best things I ever did - but my PS would not have done the surgery if I hadn't shown I could keep the weight off.
And Christine isn't wearing shoes!!! I remember from the question episode with the children to that they all had terrible footwear... Probably Kody made Christine pay for her family visits with money from her clothes and food budget again..
DeleteSo happy I stumbled across this blog. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, did y'all hear Vickie Darger is expecting? Joe announced it yesterday on FB, and I had to cruise over here and thread jack to let my peeps know. Isn't it nice that some plygs can get pregnant and actually AFFORD a new baby? Kody take note of that mmmmmkay?
ReplyDeletedon't be so sure about them being about to afford it. The Dargers had their power shut off a couple month ago. Joe blogged about it saying it was do to 1. being self employed and 2. Vicki not remembering to pay the bill.
DeleteI believe there is a link to it somewhere on this site.
mythoughtis, I remember that, but I reasoned that anybody can get overextended once in a while. What I was referring to - albeit obliquely- was the novelty that 3 of the adults in that family have a job.
DeleteSong - Do you know the Way To San Jose?
ReplyDeletePlyg - Do You Know The Way To Colorado City?
Can Christine not afford shoes? I wonder why Meri is always wearing clothes that are way too small? I do not really want to start watching the unreality of their life; however, I am curious to see if Robyn's fake tears and fake smile will finally fall off her face. She is the bedroom wife, or she sees herself as the bedroom wife. So, they are going to put their internet scam...err...jooolry on the shelf? Seems like that is what they are hinting toward. None of the adults seem able to self motivate, so it is no wonder they screw up their own business attempts.
ReplyDeleteChristine, I believe, will be the most likely one to fly the coup.
So sad! The bedroom wife...I mean, ppl are pretty harsh on Robyn but she is not a completly lost cause. IMO the stupid things she says doesn't come from lack of intelligence, just lack of knowledge. If she applied herself, she probably could an education, a real job and do well for herself. She has the lowest selfesteem out of the bunch. When she said that bedroom thing, I just cringed not because of the akwardness of the comment, but because how sad it is that she thinks that is all she has to offer? Someone call dr.phil!
DeleteLet's all remember, most of this filming was done several months ago...so we probably won't see the dramatic physical changes in Janelle this season. She has really started looking thinner in the past few months, but who knows if they filmed much past the Spring, we are always a good six months behind.
ReplyDeleteTrue, I wanted to say this. I remember them posting a picture of them celebrating Xmas in january in one of the mcMansions. So one episode will for sure be did they or did they not get to the houses (before Xmas)? They may even pretend their belated celebration was the real thing. Then maybe will Mere n Kody get their house? etc
DeleteBoring because we know it all already :). I would love to see what Janelle looks like now.
But Carol the twitter picture is recent...
DeleteVideo has already been removed :( Sucks. I think Janelle's clothes are way to big and she just hasn't bought new ones until she gets to a stable weight. I do believe she is the prettiest one and will be down right sexy once she weighs less then Meri!
ReplyDeleteI put a new one up, it should be working fine!
DeleteI couldn't get the video to work from here, so I went directly to youtube and searched for "sister wives, sneak peek". A bunch of old ones came up first, but then I got to the most recent one. If you add "2013" to your search, it might pop up sooner.
DeleteAnony 4:16, from here the video works fine. If anyone still has problems, please let me know. Thanks!
DeleteQuestion:
ReplyDeleteWhose house do the running shoes Kody is wearing belong to?
My first good laugh of the morning-
DeleteOMG the whole four pair of running shoes is crazy.
DeleteIf he's always having to run from one place to another, then he is WEARING running shoes when he arrives at the next wife's house. What is wrong with the onees he's wearing that there has to be another, different pair of running shotes at the next wife's house????
Are his feet that stank that he has to leave them outside for four days to dry out?
Kody gets four pairs of running shoes (and proably all dress shoes, sneakers and so on) and poor Christine has to be pictured barefoot and in to long pants...
DeleteAccording to Janelle's tweet, this women's name is Gina Wilson and her twitter page says she is a "business coach". I just have to say about the surrrr-go-ceee, how can they afford this. Egg retrieval from Meri, then artificial fertilization and implantation in Robyn...just saying, this aint no turkey baster kinda thing. How about showing us how the kids are doing, or some happy stuff. I really enjoyed Polygamy USA because we saw some positive encounters between sister wives. Even though it was Wine infused, Becca and Marlene "making it work" while the husband was working out of town. Also, all the families WORKED..Marlene has a job, Becca stays home, All the wives work in the Cawley family except one who stays home with the children, and Uncle Art works, not sure about his wives. And lets not forget the Dargar Family. One wife stays home with the children and the other 2 work. The Dargar women own a cleaning service, I imagine the Brown women would think they are to famous for this. All of these families have multiple small children to be cared for and one wife has that job. The Browns only have 2 who are not in school, Truely and Sol, and their are plenty of siblings old enough to babysit without hiring someone or bringing in another mouth to feed to be the sitter, **cough, cough Robyn..cough, cough** Sister Wives and Kody, take a page out of their book. GET REAL JOBS and you too could have the respect of your viewers.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I see they have hired someone to play a part on the show to fake us out that the jewelry is revamped and oh so much better.
DeleteI googled Gina Wilson and her linked in page indicates that she has an online jewelry business among other endeavors. I checked out her site hardbody bling.com and couldn't help but notice her prices are quite a bit lower than the Browns. I personally would NOT wear any of that jewelry, and as a fitness person, I'm in her target market! Lol
ReplyDeleteIn the clip it appears that the Browns are sitting down for individual interviews, not all group interviews only on the couch. This could be interesting. It may be easier for some of the wives to be a little more honest without Mean Meri glaring at them (or passive-aggressivly crying), or Krody, the Priesthood Holder, whom they believe holds the key to their salvation. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if there is a re-committment ceremony, I think that is another clue that people aren't happy in paradise. Remember Jon and Kate?
Also, Robyn must have a lot of time on her hands because that girl is ALWAYS on Pinterest.
I remember when Jon & Kate started the individual interviews, not long after that they split.
DeleteRobyn just entered the family. Why would they need to recommit? Didn't they just commit?
ReplyDeleteI bet Meri had already decided. It was just appearing like she was deciding to give Robyn time to rest after the baby and get pregnant. What if they tried and announced that they tried but it didn't work? I don't know I'd want that public.
If the jewelry falls, big deal. Lots of people start a business that only lasts a few years. The problem is they didn't put their eggs in enough baskets. The show will last so long. A business can last for so long. I don't know why they don't rely on janelle's good sense in this? She looks great too.
Christine and Janelle actually took the test to get their real estate license. In a few years that could be another form of income.
Looked up the parking tickets out of curiosity. One was $145.00, one was $637.00, but one teen had two tickets-both with no insurance, at the cost of $1,280.00 and $1,390.00! That's $2,670.00!!! My gosh, they could use that money for three mortgage payments back home. Seems the Browns are probably way out of their league in Las Vegas. Spending money like it's water on dinners, concerts, trips, homes, and aren't we sure they have bought all sorts of items for their homes? Maybe Janelle didn't, but the rest, I'd say yes.
ReplyDeleteThrilled the season is starting but not so much for the show as for discussing the show here. Hopefully another season of Polygamy USA will come on after Sister Wives, which will make it more exciting.
The kids are driving uninsured? In California I believe that's grounds to have your car impounded or drivers licensed suspended.
DeleteNo matter where they live, if the kids get drivers licenses they need auto insurance at least the minimum.
If the Browns can't afford to have their kids legally drive - WTF are they doing with these homes?
And if they're racking up nearly $800 in parking tickets after living there six months - they are even bigger idiots than I thought. Why not just flush the money down the toilet??
DeleteDriving uninsured in Las Vegas you WILL get your car impounded and you'll also be paying HUGE registration fines depending on how long you went uninsured. I live here, I know.
DeleteHere too and I'm guessing the Browns play the shell game of insuring the vehicles in order to register then let the coverage lapse after they renew their tags - with the exception of the ugly convertible which is a lease from LIV. I wonder if Kody's sales went down to a point where he has to pay some or all of the lease?
DeleteIf those kids are driving uninsured and have an accident with catastrophic injuries the parents are responsible. They would lose those houses in a minute. How stupid is this on top of parking tickets that expensive. Who is in charge here? They are going to lose those houses faster then we thought..liens..,tickets no insurance protection..WOW was all this not for the kid;s? These people need an adult to supervise there financial health.Everyone on this blog was right about them not being able to hang on to these houses long..
DeleteI don't think they ever think about the future. Kody said the houses were an investment (because a typical plig house with apartments didn't have much resale value) but they jeopardize the investment by using unconventional loans. Also they paid way over the prices of the other homes in the culdesac so even if the housing market improves no way would they make a profit when selling. The lien is just the icing on the cake. I wouldn't doubt that Kody thinks he can add the amount of the lien to the price of the house when they have to sell in a couple of years because they couldn't refinance. If Polygamy Usa showed us anything it was just how expensive a family of 22 is living under 1 roof can be, let alone 4 roofs not to mention monthly road trips (gas hotel) to Disneyland. This lien is also proof to all those fans that think they make millions from the show and MSWC. If they had money they would just pay the bill.
DeleteI doubt they have much, if any, equity in the houses after only 6-7 months, and from what I heard, LV's housing market is still pretty soft. If they sell, most if not all the $ will no doubt go to the financial entity holding the mortgages and any extra toward sellers fees and any existing liens, methinks.
DeleteAnd yup so much for those fans who think the family is getting paid on the same par as the stars of Big Bang Theory or other popular network sitcoms. TLC is out to make a profit and even if SW was their most popular show, it's still just a small percentage ratings wise in comparison to prime time shows on the big networks and its foolish to believe they're making anything remotely close to those folks.
Once again, another area where if they lived within their means, they would be OK. They stretch out their income into ridiculous homes, worry about making more children and seemingly forget the children they already have! If they worried about the children they have, the would not be spending so frivolously. Meri wouldn't have a large home. Does Kody just forget them after them being born until they do something worthwhile, like wrestling with Logan?
DeleteI can't believe they're letting their kids drive uninsured, esp when they're traveling by themselves back & forth to Utah & probably California too! That's just extremely irresponsible!! Also, allowing them to let their friends ride around with them....smh
DeleteWhen my kids were nearing driving age I was a single parent and although they were provided for, the money would not stretch to pay car insurance ,they knew they would not be able to drive unless they were able to provide there own. This is just teaching your kids responsibility and the necessity of following the law.
DeleteAs a surrogate myself, I was pretty excited about the "I'll be your surrogate" bit from Robin. For about a season. Now I'm irritated, and the more I think about it, the more I feel like it will become less about helping make a family and more about the "drama" it will cause.
ReplyDeleteStill, I'll be tuning in and hoping for an answer finally.
I salute you for being a surrogate. I think it's a very special and wonderful gift. Sadly, that's what I think, it was, from the start, for ratings and that's about it. They might prove me wrong, but seriously I can't imagine JUST giving birth and moments later be in a state of mind to be discussing surrogacy. The scene on the show looked contrived. If they didn't go through with it, they didn't do the word justice.
DeleteMichelle I can't stress enough how wonderful I think it is that you were one, and please don't us bashing the word here as against it, we are just sick of such an important topic word being thrown around.
We supposedly got "the final word" last season. Oi vey.
DeleteAnd not knocking surrogacy here - but when you said "help make a family" that's the whole point - they already HAVE plenty of kids. They don't need anymore and apparently can't afford to even insure the ones they have. It makes no sense.
No health insurance
DeleteNo car insurance
Want to bet there is no homeowner insurance?
There has to be homeowners in order for them to carry a mortgage. If they didn't buy their own policy, then I believe it's included as part of the mortgage payments just like the washer and dryer. Lol
DeleteIt seems more and more apparent to me, anyway, that clearly the Browns are following their established pattern of racking up as much debt as possible before walking away and/or filing bankruptcy.
Yep, I agree about the Brown & Sullivan racking up the debt and filing bankruptcy. I am wondering whose turn it is. They have not learned anything about humility, they are greedy and selfish people. Their primary goal in whoring their family on tv was how much $$$ they could score with the exposure. Secondary was their platform of polygamy...complete joke at this point.
DeleteJanelle looks amazing, such an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what SNL can do with the drama that is the Browns......
ReplyDeleteJanelle looks like she has been working hard and soon will be thinner then the other sister wives. Robyn is just a little weird and being thin is part of it so that doesnt count. Janelle is so much prettier anyway. Weight should not be the only judgement of a person and character can far supersede a persons weight. I have known very think pretty women that were ugly and very overweight or pudgy people have immense beauty. Besides, everyone knows a little fat keeps the age wrinkles away!
ReplyDeleteIt would have been prudent of them all living in a built for them four plex. Then maybe they could afford it with or without the show, pay car insurance on all their vehicles and maybe even health insurance. Health insurance is sky high no matter what and Lord knows we need something better to replace it. Currently some of us have no health insurance as it is about 500 or more a month for 1.
Would like to make a suggestion to their shows drama.... sale the houses and built a great house for them all to share! Soon enough kids will age and be gone then most couples just have each other. . . 1 day outta four anyway.
Gina Wilson has this facebook page and I would buy something from her: Gina Wilson Origami Owl Independent Designer Id#16312. I would also buy something in the 40 dollar range...clearing throat hint hint to the Browns family. They would make more selling in volume over price.
I believe the high pricing of the Brown's joolery is due to Meri. She has "expensive" taste. If it is expensive, she thinks its tasteful.
DeleteAnd yet.....she tries to be incognito while shopping at walmart.
DeleteI am just happy they are coming back!
ReplyDeleteEmma
I think I will be getting my information on this season like I did for last season here. I loved the synopsis and chat so much better here than with the actually show. I am only looking forward to this coming season for the comments from all of you here. Please watch for me and comment here so I don't have to watch. To The Crew keep up the good work and everyone else for the great comments. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFeel the same yamcykin ;-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch any shows last season, was able to keep up without getting so irritated watching them. Love this blog.
Hey! Look close! Janelle's clothes are ready to fall off. She needs smaller clothes. She can give her hand-me-downs to Meri.
ReplyDeleteNo, Janelle's hand-me-do now downs would be too small to fit Meri now.
DeleteMeri prefers clothes too small
DeleteShe keeps growing at a steady pase (so much for her
Delete"eating better" than all the rest). What she bought 3 months ago is way too small to wear today.
She also may think she is smaller than she is. She might think a size 22 jean fits nicely even though she really needs a size 24 or 26.
i still say she's ballooned out due to going on anti-depressants.
Deleteforget anti-depressants, i'd need a lobotomy to handle this plyg lifestyle let alone this particular dysfunctional family!!
DeleteWhen all the wives went to the gym in Vegas and Robyn was pregnant..Meri was 213 pounds..she looks like shes gained at least 50-60 since then..what is the source of her overeating? Janelle not being her verbal punching bag anymore?
DeleteMeri should have never went on national TV and said she eats healthier than the others or how she was working out. I guess she thought we'd believe it since we are probably believing tons of other lies.
DeleteI think at the time - the very first ep or two - Meri WAS eating healthier. She (and Mariah) were definitely thinner. The weight started piling on once they moved from Lehi to Vegas - for all three of the original wives and a bunch of the kids. I think a lot of that has to do with lifestyle changes - remember the first couple seasons the family was doing a lot of outdoor activities - sliding on ice blocks, tidying the yard, riding horses and doing farm chores in Wyoming and so on. Fast forward to Vegas - much hotter, more fast food around (I recall one of our regulars visited Lehi and noted that the town was very small and mostly shut down on Sundays), the family stopped being active and we saw a lot more sitting around (staying inside with the AC). Even when they went camping, they mainly did a lot of sitting around. I think Janelle decided to at least move more - the eating part is more of a struggle for her as she is trying to overcome a lot of poor eating habits. Now Meri - she appears to be in that mindset that if she's "sprinting" and doing 5ks once in awhile, she can eat whatever she wants. However as Jillian Michaels said, it's very easy to out eat exercise....
DeleteSo one thing I've been wondering about the way the houses are titled...As a foreclosure/banking attorney, I know that probably about half of mortgages (I haven't actually run the numbers....this is just a rough guess at the percentage based on what I see) are done with only one spouse using his/her credit to qualify for the loan, but both spouses are still on the mortgage. The way this works is the spouse whose credit was used to get the home is the only one who signs the note (and is called the "obligor"), and the non-obligor spouse then signs the mortgage, normally with the words "pro forma" after his/her name....to indicate he/she is on the deed, but is not financially responsible to pay back the loan.
ReplyDeleteSo...where I'm going with all of this is....obviously Kody doesn't have the credit to have qualified for financing on all four homes (well, we can assume this rather safely), HOWEVER....he COULD still be on the mortgages as a co-owner, even if he's not an obligor. So....why isn't he? Did the other wives say, "Screw you, hell to the no you're not going to be co-owner of my mcmansion..."? I just can't see Kody voluntarily giving up co-ownership of three out of the four houses.....I don't know...what do you guys think?
(I say this with the caveat that I'm still not sure they have notes on the houses, as I haven't been able to find anything indicating that in searching the property records....but, whether they have notes on the property or not, he could still be listed as a co-owner on all the houses, and I can't figure out why he's not....).
I would think that only Robyn would have Kody as a co-owner. Jenelle probably would think she could do it on her own and Christine probably followed suit being that she got into the Reality biz.
DeleteDoes anyone know a way to see the new season if you don't have cable? I am cable free this summer, using Hulu and Netflix instead. Maybe I'd have to buy each episode through Amazon?
ReplyDeleteSame question for Polygamy USA, how can I see the episodes without cable?
Sharon
Hi Sharon
DeletePolygamy USA is now available on amazon.com. The entire season was $9.99. Sister Wives is on amazon.com too. Itunes also has Sister Wives but I haven't checked for Polygamy USA.
Thanks Cynical Jinx!
DeleteSharon
I agree with many that This show has lost it's way. Once touted to show us how normal they were, they've become one motley crew of dysfunction. I will be laughing when the tears come over something trivial this season, my gosh, they have more than they dreamed to have!
ReplyDeletePolygamy USA seemed dull and slow when watching. Now looking forward to it coming back. True, we are looking through their rose colored glasses yet they try to show us somewhat what real life is like. I have to laugh thinking... you'd never see Marleen Hammon crying over how many bedrooms extra she had like Meri. Compare the two families camps and there's no comparison.
Wouldn't it be hysterical if Kody tried to put up the Kodettes in containers like Creepy Crawley?? I would love to see the gals reaction to that!!
DeleteI think they will have a surprise visitor which is bogus we now know. If they have a commitment ceremony it would be all for show because in their religion all marriages are done privately in the temple. Most Reality stars do this and then get divorced.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that Reverend Dani will come and bless their unions ...
ReplyDeleteI think I have figured out the source of the new jewelry pieces and new and exciting changes to my sisterwifescloset. The new friend the Brown;s have and has been in Janelle tweets is Gina Wilson. Her web site says she is a business consultant/product designer/manufacturer and distributor. They are saying they are Kodys designs because they cant say another woman designed them...they are overpriced to compensate Gina
ReplyDeleteHappy and safe fourth of July everyone!
ReplyDeleteLand of the free,, Home of the Brave!! USA !!!
Just went to their website to check out the "joolery". I would love to know which of the 4 pieces Krody supposedly designed is for which wife.
ReplyDeleteFor those that haven't seen it, one piece is a heart with a crown that says Fidelis. I had to laugh at that. How can a man with 4 wives be considered faithful? And who received that from Kody?
Then there's the Pixie Queen heart pendant. I'm thinking Robyn?
There's a tree pendant. Not sure...
There is also a phoenix. Janelle maybe?
The website says: This unique Phoenix is one of Kody's four premiere pieces that he designed for each of his four wives.
So I'm thinking each wife got one necklace designed for that person or do you think they all got all 4? Starting at $153.99 for the heart necklace and going up to $214.99 for the tree I cannot see these being big sellers.
They'll need to sell a lot of them to pay the tickets, the medical lien and the house payment, JMHO.
Does anyone actually feel sorry for Meri at this point? She did pull some heartstrings in the beginning as it would be tough to not have a brood of children in this religion. But now, come on..she's shown her true colors. Greed. She takes a home over funding the kids that are already born. How can they say they equally share the pot when she gets so much and only has one to fund, leaving the other three with much less to fund their 6 children?
ReplyDeleteI think as legal wife she deserves a house, too and as someone has already said, those houses didn't come with a three bedroom option. Her house represents both Meri and Kody's legal union. She spoke out on what options she wanted (wetbar, French doors) and said she would pay off the difference if she went over budget. If she accepted anything less than what the other wives got, the sharing of "the pot" would not have been equal. Greedy or not, she's the legal wife and shouldn't have to settle for less. Think of it this way, if there are out of town visitors, they will stay at Meri's house. And I bet we find out that Kody has built his man cave in Meri's house where he can get away from all the noise and kids of the other 3 houses.
DeleteWhich is okay, because Kody's legal wife is Meri, and he owns this house with Meri.
yeah, i can say i feel sorry for Meri in the aspect that she was born and indoctrinated into this godforsaken religion that believes polygamy brings you eternal exaltation. She's definitely unlikable and no one i'd want to hang with but i wonder how different she might really be if she didn't have the ugly taste of polygamy in her gutwrenched soul. It's obvious to me that it hasn't treated her psyche kindly. Robyn either as she's likewise passive/aggressive to the max and went into survivor mode herself. Janelle, on the other hand, truly chose it as an adult and went in with wide eyes opened more or less. When she'd had enough at one point - she actually left but then did come running back sooner rather than later due to her passel of kids missing their bonus brothers and sisters. Christine was also born into it but apparently had some rosy childhood version of it and wanted to repeat that w/her own kids, so she was fine UNTIL Robyn came along and upset her balanced apple cart and Christine's never fully recovered from that. Instead, i suspect, she just learned to disconnect emotionally like Janelle did herself long ago.
Deleteit ain't easy being plyg. but they know that and simply bank on their faith and mantra of "endure to the end" that their reward will be great in the next life and for all eternity. so a miserable earth life is a small price to pay ... :P Hopefully, not too many of their kids are going to repeat the cycle themselves as adults.
Bottom line is and it's very apparent....it's like my husband (very jokingly says, mind you) "I think I will trade her in for a new model", of course we laugh because we know he is joking and we have taken a vow of love and commitment til death do us part. If we had chosen to divorce, we would go on our merry way and continue to live our life as we choose and be happy.
DeleteThe sad thing and we see it in Meri, Christine and Jenelle IS...they don't get to go find a "new model", but Kody DOES...so sad. It takes its toll on the mind and they are heading toward menopause which is a real hormone circus.
I don't believe Meri deserves a house for being the legal wife. I think it goes against everything they supposedly believe in. I thought it was all about FAMILY. If family was the most important thing and they were all in it together she would not be living in a big ass house ALONE. Surely that half a million would have been better spent on the CHILDREN!
DeleteI tend to agree that Meri should have a house just as big and nice as her sister wives. And yes, as legal wife she deserves her own home. You have forgotten that Kody is co-owner of Meri's house, so in reality, she only has a 50% ownership while her sisterwives have 100% ownership of their homes. The Browns have every right to define their family unit as they seem appropriate, not as some random person on the street decides. And Meri will not be living alone in her house, her legal husband also lives there with their legitimate child.
DeleteI'm not a fan of Meri by any means, and she definitely has serious fashion challenges. But I'm not seeing what's wrong with her jeans and outfit in this latest twitter photo. The jeans don't look too small that I can see, and the outfit appears appropriate. Janelle looks fabulous. I don't think anyone can speculate about whether she has reduced calorie intake or not. Janelle has written in her blog about being an emotional eater, so we can take that for what it's worth. If Janelle is making progressive changes in the right direction, good for her. It seems she has only positive things to look forward to for herself, but on her terms.
ReplyDeleteHad been overwhelmed with work and family stuff and didn't get to watch Polygamy USA consistently, but did read about it here when I could. It does sound like it is a far truer version of the Plyg scene.
ReplyDeleteSaw the trailer on TV for the SW season debut..and already it looks like a big yawn spiced with the usual petty, predictable dramas.
It boggles my mind *again* that anyone would want to plunk down that kind of money for their crappy bling. Seriously, do they really envision that junk becoming "collectibles?"
Do they really believe they have earned a legitimate status of importance as to be peddling this stuff as "iconic?"
Also saw the preview episode of HBB.
Okay, I get it, some folks really do love this show.
BUT....in this preview, June asks HBB about the clip from last season (which they replay) where the kid sneezed and had the double snot hanging from her nose on camera and finally got up from the chair and walked off camera. I saw that one last season and felt really bad for the child. It looked humiliating for her. But not so !!
In this preview edition. June asked her why she hid her face before she left the chair and HBB said proudly that she was laughing while she tried to snuff it back up.
So much for HBB or her mother seeing that clip as anything other than their version of entertainment. UGH !!!
But it does go to show that TLC isn't too picky about the current horses in their cable stable as long as the ratings stay up.....including the stale, lame antics of Kodyworld.
I seen the HBB previews too. I find it interesting HBB new season premieres 7/17 the same week of SW new season premiere 7/21 Hmmmm??? I'm definitely gonna be paying attention to all of the HBB ad sponsors & SW ad sponsors.
DeleteI just checked out the jewelry page for their friend Gina. Some very pretty things at unbelievable prices. Many, many pretty drop earrings for 2.00 dollars and 3.00 dollars. maybe 5-6 things from 40-96 dollars, the rest is 10.00 dollars or less. Much more sophisticated than the Brown pieces. But of course they are costume pieces, which lets face it, this is what we are looking for online.
ReplyDeleteI think that those prices are her wholesale prices, what she pays for them and what she can hook you up to pay wholesale in quantity, because if you look at her selling her pieces on ebay they are 40.00 and up.
DeleteOH GEEZ!!! For the freaking love of green goo kool-aid & wet bar pastries!! WHY????????? Are we basically gonna be subjected to a plyg rendition Groundhog Day the movie?..lol **Sigh**
ReplyDeleteAlso, I haven't had a chance to check out Gina Wisons website yet, but does anyone know if her jewelry/products are made in America?
Oh yeah, if it's not already taken, my song choice: 'It's Raining Plygs' (It's Raining Men,Hallelujah)...
This is getting old, time for TLC to find a new plyg family. One that actually lives under one roof together. They have done nothing since season 1 to show us anything to support their choices or to support their beliefs. Wasn't that the whole point in this show?
ReplyDeleteYep, kind of like the point of "Jon & Kate +8" was to show how an ordinary couple with twins and sextuplets could clip coupons and make do on one salary while the mom stayed home and lovingly cared for her family. Oh wait . . . bad example.
DeleteOkay, like "Little People, Big World" was about a dwarf couple with four children could manage their day-to-day lives on their farm in Oregon in spite of their physical challenges . . .
Never mind. There are no shows on TLC wherein the "point of the show" carries through to the second season.
After about 20 minutes, it's always about the money. SMH.
I would like to see THIS family under one roof together again. Sadly that won't happen until the show goes bust and they are forced to move back to Utah. If Christine keeps the snark up she showed us in the preview, this might be one interesting season, despite the (yawn) suurrooogate story.
DeleteIt looks to me like Meri is actually smaller than Janelle. Judging by the lump in front of Janelle's shirt, it looks like she pulled her pants over her belly, which will slim you some by the way. I think its tacky for Christine to take a pic and not have shoes on, let alone have it put on the internet. Its not as if she was lounging in comfy clothes and didn't have shoes on, which would be fine. But come on, you're fully dressed and so is everyone else and you couldn't put shoes on. Who took this pic?
ReplyDeleteLooking at the above photo of Kody and his wimminz...it never ceases to amaze me that Kode found not just one but FOUR women who seem to like the sloppy, disheveled, surfer-dude look he always sports. Does the man own anything nicer than wrinkled shirts, faded jeans and running shoes?? Even when he attempts to dress up, the shirts look like he pulled them from the bottom of a soggy pile of clothes, and that he washes his hair and air-dries it by sticking his head out of the window of a moving car. I think the way he dresses and presents himself lends evidence to his goofy, no-worries demeanor. Not necessarily the person you'd want at the helm of a family of 25+ people.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the new season drama to unfold. Over/under on how soon it takes Robyn to cry? I'll go with 1 minute, 30 seconds into the first episode.:)
It is pretty amazing that he has four women at his beck and call, but none of them owns an iron???
Deletelaurakaye,
ReplyDeleteRE: the odds on how soon Sobbin gets the tears going. Ha !!
My guess is after two of her usual rambling, convoluted sentences...the ones which she is now famous for !! So, however long that takes to happen.
On the trailer TLC is showing, there's a quickie clip of Sobbin saying something (don't remember what) with her pitiful, downcast, woe-is-me eyes.
If nothing else, she is predictable.
I'll guess Robyn is crying at the 6:20 mark or about that. Being that they might keep that until the second segment!
ReplyDeleteBest blog ever (with huge bonus points for keeping the kids off limits)

Honest, true, patient understanding. Try to understand one's intentions, even if you don't understand their words.
That's okay, Meri. None of US understand Robyn's words, either.
