Off Topic Wednesday 04/24/13: Browns go on Nevada Public Radio But Still No Answer When the 2013 New Season Starts

Kody Brown and his Sister Wives....the gifts that keep on giving.

Kody Brown with Robyn, Meri, Janelle (Christine apparently was in New York - see her recent tweets on twitter) were interviewed recently on Nevada Public Radio. The usual things were discussed, including Warren Jeffs (Kody even invoked the name of Jim Jones), Kody saying there was a vast difference between LDS and fundamental Mormonism, Janelle contradicting Kody by saying LDS and fundamental Mormonism follow the same doctrines except for polygamy and somehow forgetting to mention she was married to Meri's brother, Robyn constantly interrupting...business as usual for  Kody and his Kodypendents sans Christine.

A quotable quote from Kody: "I'm extremely analytical in my own mind."

Yes, he actually said that. And it was amazing how Mr Analytical answered the question about intimacy (interrupting Meri who was responding) when the interviewer clearly (at least to my ears) presented the question to the WIVES and not Mr. Analytical.

This is a must hear...even if you don't get any new information - but a lot of contradictions (business as usual for this crowd).

AND THIS JUST IN!!!

We finally have an answer to that question EVERYONE has been asking for SO LONG...well, sort of an answer...ANYWAY

Meri has FINALLY confirmed what RealityTea.com announced in January....

See Meri? It wasn't so hard, now was it? I wonder if someone brought it to their attention that TLC already announced to an online mag that Sister Wives had been renewed and that the Browns (in particular Meri and Robyn)  ridiculous stance that they couldn't say anything about their own show until TLC said it first was just dumb dumb dumb?

Here's the January article from realitytea.com:

Sister Wives Has Been Renewed For Season 4!

The Never Ending Trial of Jodi Arias...

May be slowly coming to the end after 5 prosecution witnesses on the stand yesterday. But wait, apparently the defense is now arguing something in Judge's chambers right now (Wednesday 4/24).

Anyway, was it necessary for Nurmi to grill Travis Alexander's ex-girlfriend about her sexual relationship with Travis? Particularly those questions...Did Travis call you a slut? was one of them. Grady, a 72 year old caller to HLN this morning put it into perspective when he said "Jodi was Travis dirty little secret. That's the way you talk to dirty little secrets" A bit harsh, but nevertheless the truth.

Arias prosecutor's lightning round of witnesses

Your Thoughts?

And If You're in the Vegas Area

Don't forget the Browns will be at UNLV 4/25/13.  The panel will also include Kristyn Decker (author of 50 Years of Polygamy: Big Secrets and Little White Lies) and Kollene who was featured on Sister Wives last season.

Read all about it here:

UNLV to Host Discussion on Polygamy with Brown Family of TLC's "Sister Wives"

  1. Haven't listened to the radio bit yet....but will.

"Anyway, was it necessary for Nurmi to grill Travis Alexander's ex-girlfriend about her sexual relationship with Travis?"

I said way back when Nurmi was doing the defense's direct exam of Arias on the stand..for eighteen mind-numbing days...on and on with every sexually explicit detail and wording he could think of asking...that Nurmi sounded like a pervert getting his kicks !!!
He sounded so skeevy...if a really bad smell had a sound..he would be it.

And he still does...!! What he did in that cross to that woman was disgusting!!!
He is a vile pig !! And when you think about it, he is the perfect legal compliment to Jodi Arias. A matched set !!

Willmott either was taking a break, still stinging from all the Internet slamming of her terrible cross with DeMarte...or she wanted to sit back, exchange grins and scribbles with Arias all day, and enjoy Nurmi's attempt to humiliate Travis's ex-girlfriend.
    Willmott, too, should be ashamed.

    1. Something interesting I remember from yesterday was that Travis and his ex-girlfriend (Deana) both lost their temple recommends because they broke the law of chastity.

      Delete
    2. And this matters how? The last time I checked breaking the law of chastity wasn't punishable by death. I am a little more sensitive to this case than most. Many of my friends knew Travis. He was a very good man. We make mistakes. We aren't perfect. We are human. Jodi deserves to die!

      Delete
    3. And this matters how? The last time I checked breaking the law of chastity wasn't punishable by death.

I brought this up because I don't, absolutely DO NOT believe Jodi Arias' claims against Travis Alexander. And as you point out, breaking the law of chastity does not warrant a death sentence.

      Jodi deserves to die!

Arias deserves to be punished for her crime. If the jury comes back with guilty of murder in the first degree, and recommends the death penalty, so be it.

      Delete
    4. I agree. She deserves the death penalty. Not sure if that will happen, but at least she needs to be solidly behind bars for the rest of her dismal life.

It must be so painful for all who knew this man to hear the monstrously sick smear campaign that Arias and her hired handlers have inflicted on this murdered man. She sits there with those blank, dead eyes devoid of humanity......but still able to fake the tears when necessary and giggle with her BFF Willmott.

Re: Nurmi....google his name and look at his so-called web site.
Not only is it very badly written, it is all about *sex.* *gag !!!*

    5. I just heard the comment by the judge that they plan to give the case to the jury on 5/3. Great. Anyone want to guess when we leave home for a week-long cruise? Anyone? Yep: 5/3. Which means I cannot watch the trial live online all day, every day. I'll be running to the room to check the news between line dancing, high tea, and shore excursions. LOL.

    7. A bit of interesting facts about Kirk Nurmi. (I really despise this bloated Neanderthal)

There were four (4) other public defender assigned to her case from 9/2008 to 8/2009.
All either wanted off or were dismissed...(some were petitioned for removal by Arais herself)

8/2009.... Nurmi, a public defender, is appointed by the court as primary defense counsel with Victoria Washington as secondary.

Then after being on the case for 2 years, on 2/25/2011, Nurmi announces to court that he is leaving the public defender's office and wants to withdraw from the case. Arias strongly objected to having a new counsel appointed. Nurmi was ordered to continue as counsel at the standard public defender hourly rate paid to the primary defense counsel.
Nurmi then filed a motion to withdraw with an ensuing hearing on 3/21/2011. His motion was denied. There were then more hearings and the final decision was that Nurmi would stay but would receive $225.00 an hour since he was not on the books as a public defender any longer.
(Do the math on this. He has been collecting that hourly amount since 2011. Arias has made Nasty Nurmi quite a bit of $$$ off the backs of the citizens.)

      Two other tidbits....
Jennifer Willmott was assigned by the Public Defender's Office as secondary counsel as recently as *1/03/2012* after Victoria Washington was released from the case.

Also on 8/08/2011, Arias makes an oral motion at a hearing that she wants to represent herself as her own primary counsel. Court grants it with Nurmi and Victoria Washinngton appointed as her *advisory counsel* with Washington now as the lead advisory counsel.
Nine days later, Arias submits another oral request to withdraw as her own counsel.
Nurmi and Washington are reinstated as her defense counsel.

Why bring all this up you may ask?
After working with the Arias case for 2 years, Nurmi decides to leave the Public Defender's Office and start his own practice.
And what was to be his specialty of Legal expertise??? Of course, he specializes in *sex* cases.
And what is so ironic is that on his web site he claims that he can and will get his clients who are accused of sexual crimes the lightest sentences, if not acquittals. I kid you not !!
Just think, the man who is *accusing* a murdered Travis Alexander of heinous sex crimes makes *his* living getting true sex perpetrators/deviants off.
No wonder he loves all this sex talk...he specializes in it.

      Delete
    8. Interesting, but just imagine if you were a defense attorney, were assigned a client you couldn't stand, tried to get off the case but was denied. And then to be forced not only to defend her, but at a lesser pay rate?

Nurmi may have made some money in those 2 years but he could of made a lot more money if he was in private practice.

He has no choice in who he gets assigned to defend. In fact, couldn't he be disbarred for refusing to represent someone as a court appointed attorney? So he's got to give this trial his best shot because otherwise if Jodi loses, he could be in trouble for malpractice if he doesn't. Her conviction could be overturned on appeal if it shown she didn't receive proper representation from her attorney.

And don't forget, everyone, including sex perpetrators/deviants, are guaranteed by the Constitution the right to a fair trial and legal representation.

      Delete
    9. You're right he was appointed. But don't public defenders know and expect that process going into that job? Private practice is logically where most lawyers do eventually go.
The money issue is that he *did get* a "private" higher rate than the usual PD's range since 2011, surely higher than the prosecutors make. And he could still maintain his private practice along the way.

      Delete
    10. Something that doesn't get mentioned very often is that during the time Arias represented herself, she tried to get the forged "letters from Travis" that supposedly showed he was a pedophile introduced at trial. Nurmi seemed to know or at least suspect they were fake, and refused to file the motion to introduce them. So, she had to represent herself, file the motion, and once it was denied, she withdraws from representing herself.

I'm on the fence about whether or not Wilmott has been taken by Arias' lies, but I'm pretty sure Nurmi has her number. I think they both know she is a liar, and I'm sure they both think she is entitled to a defense, but it certainly doesn't seem like Nurmi is working hard to get her acquitted. He must know that his sex tactics are not working. Commentators in the courtroom have mentioned how the jurors don't seem to like the constant barrage of sex talk and that one older female juror was getting upset about the questions to Deanna. I was trying to find where it was discussed, but can't find it at the moment; it may have been on TV.

      Delete
    11. Any you know Nurmi makes more than Martinez? Are you sure? Can you provide proof?

      Delete
    12. Yes, I think Nurmi's body language shows his contempt for Arias. I don't think Wilmott thinks that highly of her either...remember when the first time court was recessed for the day because of Arias having a migraine? It was reported that Wilmott told the deputy (as he was leading Arias away) to "make sure she takes her medicine." At first I thought she said that because she was concerned for Arias health...but the more I thought about it, maybe she knew Arias didn't take her meds on purpose as a way of avoiding things in the trial that showed her to be a psychopathic liar.

      Delete
    13. Hi xxenia,
I did ask a good friend who is in her own practice and a former public defender to see if she could check out AZ's pay scales.
County prosecutors, if based on long-term years of experience, could potentially make over one hundred to maybe a hundred fifty thousand a year but no more. That comes down to nowhere near $225 an hour.
Obviously prosecutors know they will not make as much as they could in private practice. And just like public defenders, most of them eventually do go into private practice.

    14. Thanks for the info Amused!!!

    15. So today when the coroner was testifying and they apparently had autopsy pictures up, Jodi looked pretty upset. I kept expecting court to end early due to yet another "migraine." Seems when things look bad Jodi gets sick. But somehow she struggled through. I'm so glad the end of this trial is near. Jodi is such a waste of human flesh.

    16. This is in response to a comment from an anonymous poster who could not resist the urge to write sarcastic comments about other posters here on SWB.

Even though the last time I said I wouldn't do this, the writer did present another perspective to the Jodi Arias/Travis Alexander relationship. So here goes...

I believe he was a total and complete womanizer. He looked to play not only Jodi but other women too, problem is she's a sociopath...

Travis may have thought he was a womanizer, but he wasn't, really. He liked having recreational sex - the problem was the only woman he knew that would willingly satisfy his sex fantasies was Arias. Poor guy should have visited the legal brothels in Nevada instead of allowing Arias into his life if it was kinky sex he was into. At least he might still be alive.

this is a cautionary tale if I ever saw one, there were plenty of red flags with Jodi...

A male college friend showed me a note his father had written to him that said, in Yiddish, "Be careful where you put it. " It's unfortunate that Travis did not learn this valuable lesson before meeting Arias.

And just a word of advice for long time readers, first time posters. Please, please read the SWB guidelines before you post a comment. Thank you!

  3. Why can't interviewers do some investigation prior to the interview? If the guy had read anything about the family in advance, the questions would be so much better. Where are the journalists out there?

Now to the actual interview....why is it that Janelle is the only one that knows the doctrine of the their church? Why are the other so poorly informed or why aren't they more articulate on the matter? Janelle is clearly the mouthpiece for the family.

"Have you had any doubts in choosing this lifestyle"? Kody "yes". Can you imagine the stink eyes he is getting! He rehashes and second guesses this decision all the time? Wow. Expect some really unpleasant Meri tweets.

Of course, they deal with intimacy in PRIVATE (what better way to keep your marital relations private than going on tv!) But, they do each have a 'marital relationship'...if you know what they mean.

Yet another panel discussion at UNLV. Expect a snoozer episode on this with the obligatory dumb questions from uninformed people

I don't know, CPA Carol. It's the Anthropology department that's chairing the panel discussion, so maybe Kody can prove to the UNLV students he IS the missing link...

If the guy had read anything about the family in advance, the questions would be so much better

Ha ha..so right. Especially since Janelle was friends with Kody and Meri because SHE WAS MARRIED TO MERI'S BROTHER! The interviewer didn't read the book either, or he would have known just how Janelle came about being considered for wife #2 (no wonder Meri was sputtering her words when asked that question). Yo...Meri was BLINDSIDED by Kody and Janelle - she had no clue Janelle wanted to join the family until Kody announced he was courting Janelle.

why aren't they more articulate on the matter?

The answer to that question is most likely the reason Christine was in New York for LIV. You know, I wonder just how good a LDS Kody was...if we take into account his high school chums recollections that he always had a need to be the center of attention (and how polygamy would be a natural for him since he would be the center of his wives attention) could it be possible that he was more interested in satisfying his own needs to be special and different (more wives, more children than his brothers, to be on TV, to be famous) than just learning about fundamentalism and trying to live that faith quietly like his brothers do, or even like The Dargers.

  4. That radio interview was a crock of doo doo as usual. I'm really surprised that Kody didnt say he answered to a higher calling but said it was his destiny...lol Also saying he spends equal time w/ each wife to nourish the relationships and that each wife has a relationship w/ each other...Bwahahaha...Yeah, right Kody! Good thing his pants didn't ignite in flames after spewing those doozies...Lol

  5. Next time just sit there quietly and keep sweet dearie Robyn. I had visuals towards the end of the interview of her elbowing herself closest to the mike while the others rolled their eyes ;)

  6. Kody strikes me as one of those people who is always looking for the next get rich quick scheme. I'd bet his original idea of multi marriages was partly the male ego wanting lots of women/sex, etc. and also partly having multi women help support his lifestyle! How many kids was he supporting when he bought that two-seater car? I don't care how much of a deal he got it for because if he paid a dollar US for it, it still wasn't practical for a man with that many kids/wives! He is selfish and more so than his wives (Meri being the worst)! Janelle seems nice enough but also seems a bit henpecked too! I don't think she can stand up for herself or her kids! I bet she and Kody don't rock the bed often either. She is probably the one who hears he is "tired" more than the rest. Christine seems like she gets what she wants and needs no matter what. Robyn...wow! Does she ever stop crying and opening her mouth and sounding stupid??? Really, it's like she has a 6th grade education! Who says "and stuff" to back up a statement?

I watch this show but mostly because I am waiting for a big blow-up! I'm waiting for TLC to drop them and find out how they support themselves then! All these reality shows are the same. Fights, new homes, vacations...hey could the Browns go on a second honeymoon vacation leaving the kids home? That might be fun to see. Kody would have to romance all the wives in seven days. Of course, that would mean that Janelle would be left out since they would be a day short but that's reality isn't it!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Ok, so I started to listen, but I just couldn't. Kind of like the last couple of times I've watched episodes (yay for netflix & fast forward).

Logan is probably wishing they would stay the heck away from his school!

Maybe it's just me but I kind of remember one of the Brown-Klan tweeting that they had been picked up for another season back in January when it was originally announced, and then retracted. I wonder if they are holding out and still working out contracts with TLC? They are probably trying to get more money like many reality stars tend to do as the seasons progress, but these people don't warrant it.

  8. Great post again! Just as an aside, I'm glad to see everyone on here debating and really drilling Kody and polygamy. When I check out the Sister Wives facebook page its all this lovey dovey, look how tolerant I am, look how wonderful polygamy is blah blah blah. and if anyone dares voice an opposing negative view, they are quickly bashed by the 'tolerant/don't judge police'. Last time I checked, this was a free country and different opinions need to be allowed and not attacked. So keep up the good work here!! Keep debating on!

    2. Why is Janelle the most pro-polygamy and always the first to pop up and defend their "faith" she also seems the most knowledgeable and articulate on the subject even though she is in theory she was most far removed from the flds? I know you guys are all team Janelle but she kind of comes off like she was a creepy polygamy groupie.

    1. oh trust me, I'm not on Team Janelle, or any other Brown team for that matter.

Based on people I know who are devout LDS Mormons (which Janelle was up until just before she married Kody), many are well versed on their religion including the Book of Mormon, the Bible, et al (similar, I think, to Catholics going to catechism, or the Sunday school/bible studies the Baptist church I was raised in). So since Janelle was raised LDS while the other wives weren't, she probably DOES know more about the fine points of "their" religion than Meri, Robyn, and Christine do (especially based on Christine's little Sunday school "God's number is J-E-S-U-S"). While Kody was allegedly raised LDS and on a mission, that doesn't automatically mean he paid attention to his bible studies...he isn't exactly a mental genius, he relies almost solely on his charm and charisma, what there is of it that is. It's mostly due to the long hair and carefully cultivated "surfer dude" look - IMO he's going to lose a lot of his charm once the hair is gone.

      Delete
    2. While I like Janelle the most, I refuse to sympathize with her or any of them since this is what they all claim they want. Let them deal with all the trouble that comes with it. Janelle most especially doesn't get any sympathy since she wasn't even a fundamentalist to begin with. I think maybe her being accepting of alternative things and even well versed on them makes her appear more intelligent. The operative word is "appear". I guess I like her best because at least she worked to support her family when it seems a couple of them didn't or wouldn't.

    1. Fat chance of that - my guess is that next season will focus on October - early January, (hopefully) wrapping up the tired IVF/surrogate for Meri storyline (zzzz) and ending with the move into the cuddle sac - with the cliffhanger being the delay in Kody and Meri's home. of course they moved in on Christmas, so if I'm correct, that means that we will be seeing Xmas in May or June or whenever the F the season is gonna start or end...I'm also guessing 8 episodes at MOST.

    2. I so agree!! The tweeting (is one of many things) that is ruining this show. Everyone wants to know when the new season starts....who cares!!

    5. Anon 2:33 - yes, great idea! I also want to get to the bottom of this burning question: Meri, who is the subject of your subversive, passive-aggressive "forgiveness" tweets? And of course, we need a whole episode detailing Robyn's extreme angst at trying to fulfill those two outstanding orders from MSWC whilst Sol clings fretfully to her legs...

  17. Hi all
I read the article but could not bring myself to listening to their "sweet" vapid answers. Same answers we always hear... "It was a matter of faith"... "Nurture these relationships"... "Rotation"....YAAAWN

I think we can all agree that Meri getting her wet bar was the best thing that could have happened for the up coming season because if she hadn't, we would all be in for a season of couch sessions full of tears about the "8" dozen danish she would have had.

As for Janelle being a favorite, I think she is the most mature and intellectual clown in the circus...that makes her far from a genius. Her vacant stares are confirmation that she has checked out years ago.

It is fun for me to point and laugh at the monkey and his groomers, as they each take turns drinking the green Kool-Aid, washing his purple shirts and sharing one banana.

I still think we should all meet in Vegas, take a party bus to the "cuddle sac" and attend every scam meeting we can before they catch on that the SWB SNARKers' are circling in their murky gene pool.

I just went on twitter and read the following tweet from Janelle answering a fan who asked when the new season of Sister Wives would premiere.

@janellebrown117 when are you coming back to TLC." "We will be back this summer. Stay tuned to TLC for the dates.

So I'm assuming after Breaking Amish: Brave New World ends is when they'll stick Sister Wives back on the air for a few weeks.

  19. Robyn tweeted earlier: "Perks of plural marriage-when you are up all with the baby so your sisterwife takes your daughter to pastries for parents.@rosecolored6"

I'm probably being a lil critical here, but I'm thinking that Christine was already going anyways for her kids, so why not take Robyns daughter too. Maybe the night before it was Chrstine's night & Kody asked her to do it as a favor for Robyn, since possibly Robyn's night was next in rotation. Kody wanted Robyn to stay home so she could cater to him...Blah! Yep, I'm kind of thinking out loud here...lol

Oh yeah, & one of her 'fans' responded:@luvgvsUwings@Rosecolored6 "same perks applicable for those with helpful families & friends, just sayin :)"

Another 'fan' response:@LuvgvsUwings "Perks of a monogamous marriage: Husband always home to help with the baby or to go to pastries for parents."

Then of course there's always that one uninformed 'super fan' response: @luvgvsUwings @rosecolored6 "I love how u all work so wonderfully to support and help each other"

Very sad that none of her OTHER MOMS or her DAD posted pics or retweeted Janelles picture. Not even a mention of how beautiful she looked. Prom is an exciting night for any teenage girl. Would be nice to see some of that family love spread around a little.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Well that's not too surprising since Aspyn and Mariah want to be sister wives and probaly think they are above prom and going out on a date with anyone except the man they are going to marry. Or maybe Maddie is more popular than the other 2. Or maybe Aspyn and Mariah weren't asked to go and their father was too busy trying to impregnate Robyn to care. I think its funny the 2 senior girls went on a date with each other and their junior sister gets all dolled up and goes to the prom.

      Delete
    2. Janelle encourages more mainstream lifestyle activities. She was okay with youth group at another church. She grew up with prom having been LDS. The others were raised plural. Though choice for spouse was common in their communities I don't think dating as in prom couple was allowed? So the other moms may have encourage their daughters to do something fun but skip the prom. I think it's great they are given freedom in mothering. Maybe they have an issue with coupling? Maybe the other girls just didn't have a date at that precise moment in time? If one tweets isnt it enough?

  27. By all Meri's desperate "forgiveness" quotes, I am guessing NONE of the sister wives are even speaking to her now. Like when Robyn needed someone to take her daughter to a school function, wouldn't the reasonable sister wife to do it be Meri? She only has one grown daughter to care for and has such a hole in her heart, you think she would be all over her bonus kids helping out and doing fun activities with them.
Her latest twitter, "Meet people where they ARE, don't hold them hostage to where they've BEEN". Yeah, I am sure she has changed! Whatever.

  28. The reality of Meri living in such a large home by herself has set in. All she was concerned with, was that she didnt get anything less than another sisterwife. Now they have all been built and all the sisterwifes can compare each others house. Thats just pandoras box asking to be opened to trouble. They can see for themselves how Meri spent her budget and then some on her upgrades. Meri seems very defensive in her tweets. She is attacking before being attacked for her expensive taste. Im sure meri furnishing her monster house and all the bills that go along with such a big house are eating away at the moms with 6 kids. Shes making everyone else miserable because she is. I imagine the Robyn situation makes it no better. Meri can see closeup how much Kody caters to Robyn. I think Robyn coming into the family when christine had truely hurt christine deeply. Kody was busy getting to know robyns kids and not bonding with his new baby. Money wont heel all of the tramma this family has suffered due to their lifestyle.

  33. As it's off topic day (a few days later but, I've always been wary of posting...) does anyone here support a non-religious plural marriage? Nobody in the relationship has anything to do with ANYTHING involving multiple wives.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think it being non-religious, or otherwise non-mandated, makes it better to me. That said, I have known several people who tried open-marriages or bringing a third into their relationships and it never worked well for all involved. I tried to count in my head and came up with 8 couples. The jealousy is always there. The arguments about allocations of money were always there, like most monogamous relationships.

There was one threesome that lasted about 5 years before the relationship failed, and I don't think it was specifically because of the polyandry, but that was the longest relationship by far. They were a miserable bunch to hang around with, too.

I used to not really care what consenting adults chose to do, and since I never saw it work out, I was quite intrigued by the Browns and their long-term marriages. However, after watching the show, I think it should remain illegal. To me, the Brown's pretty much confirm every bad thing ever said about polygamy.

    2. I can see that too C.J. Also, if she has always had this 'grossed'out relationship w/ food. Then the claim that Kody tried to make to the courts, saying all the stress from the 'investigation' was causing Robyn not to eat & get super thin & affecting her health was FALSE, FALSE, FALSE!! Crying wolf as usual...smh We had suspicions he was grasping for straws & trying to make a legit case out of trumped up issues. But now that Robyn has 'spoken' & addressed her weight issue, we now know the 'truth' in a sense...lol
Seriously, ewwww, did she have to describe the yoga pose she was doing or attempting to do??

    3. When I saw the title, I thought it was going to be about modesty.
But I was wrong,, it was All About Robyn. How pathetic, she claims to understand people struggling with obesity because she has some overweight family members and relate to it because she isn't good at yoga. She really does NOT understand it at all and her comments are very hurtful.
Ok, so she gets grossed out by food - time for therapy and a visit with a psychiatrist. Ok, she is bad at yoga (though I really think she is just not as flexible as she fancied herself) - this does not make you able to relate to people who struggle with their weight, thank you very much!!! As someone who struggles with her weight for years, I just find it insulting.
I can see her having some sort of autistic spectrum disorder - makes sense. This would also make her very vurnerable for Koko.

      Delete
    4. See I think she said all of that because she thinks people don't like her because she's skinny and, to some, pretty. I think that's what she tells herself and probably what Kody tells her. She's saying hey don't hate me because I'm skinny. While I agree that being skinny is not the same as being healthy, I don't care what her or her fans think. It's always gonna be easier in this world to be skinny versus overweight. People treat overweight folks waaaaay worse!

      Delete
    5. Hmmm. So I read the blog.

First off, Robyn doesn't strike me as "a stick" or super skinny (of course she is compared to the *other* wives) but maybe it's because she dresses in layers that make her look a little pudgy (she also looked kind of pudgy to me during the plyg-cation with the Dargers BTW). Also does anyone else remember that when she started tweeting about yoga, she said something along the lines of wanting to LOSE the excess baby weight. Kind of a disparity wouldn't you say...?

I do know a few people with eating disorders who have the exact same symptoms that Robyn described about being grossed out by food (including the 16 YO daughter of one of my closest friends who is 79 lbs at 4'9" tall - brilliant, beautiful, but way too skinny but being treated by specialists). Agree with Lobotomized that if that's the case, she needs to get some sort of medical help.

My own personal opinion is that this is the ol' Passive-Agressive Robyn we've come to know. What she's really trying to do is make damn sure that everyone sees that she is the "skinny" one amongst the fatties. I've seen this game being played for years, even in my own family. The fact that her own mom and sibs have obesity/overweight issues makes that even more clear to me, that she's well used to playing this game for attention purposes. I'm sure that being raised in a plyg home as one among many, she would find ways of calling attention to herself and what better way than pointing out that she's the thin one?

IMO this is just a way of deflecting attention from Janelle's weight loss struggles...because Robyn MUST have all the attention since she's the New Hot Margie Wife. (in her own mind)

      Delete
    6. Oh and on Janelle's latest blog post "I discovered many of the clothing suppliers for women like me are now getting the clue that just because a woman may be bigger than a size 12 she still does exercise..."

UM get a clue - back when I was 265 pounds I was able to find leotards, yoga pants etc etc that fit, this was back in 1989 and '90 - Danskin and Champion, along with a myriad of other manufacturers including Lane Bryant/Lerner, have made large-size fitness wear for more than 20 years. (I used to subscribe to BBW Magazine and Radiance Magazine - both geared toward large/super size women with a emphasis on fashion).
I know Lululemon has been offering large sizes for some time now.

so to be honest, Janelle should say "I discovered that there are fitness clothes available in my size". not that they just started making them...just sayin.

    7. this is just a way of deflecting attention from Janelle's weight loss struggles...because Robyn MUST have all the attention since she's the New Hot Margie Wife

If you're referring to Big Love's Margene, don't forget she had a load of surprises that adversely affected the family and ultimately lead to the demise of a main character.

I agree with you DJ...but I just don't get those people who think Robyn's blog is so wonderful. I'm betting her 3rd blog will be about her parenting skills centering on Robyn's coping with Sol not wanting to sleep or how she demonstrates her superb hygiene skills by teaching her daughters how to wash their faces to prevent zits (but apparently not cold sores).

    2. Yes, I did. I can surely understand wanting a drink after listening to Willmott's screech or Nurmi's droning or having to look at Arias's antics for days/weeks/months on end, but to then drive...not smart.

It's a shame too, because apparently he and the other witness they let go (#5) were the most prolific note takers. Their notes when shared in deliberation would have been very useful.

Frankly, I don't know how any of them could still be able to recall any impressions they may have formed as they listened *without making notes*..for FOUR months..with all that has been presented.

Really hoping this jury won't be too anxious to get it over with so as not to have to go penalty phase. Also really hope there are enough thinking jurors left to reason with anyone who is waffling or confused about a 1st Degree verdict....with or without the DP.

    4. When the judge said, "We're starting at 9:00 and going until we finish with this witness, even if it takes until 6:00 PM," my thoughts were that the lovely defense attorneys (sarcasm) would probably stretch out their direct examination until 5:30 to try to make Juan rush through his cross. I'm hoping the judge will keep a tighter rein on them than that.

    6. I can't wait for this trial to end. It must be torture for the jury to have to sit through all the testimonies and pay attention while Arias is doodling and writing and otherwise not paying attention (unless the testimony is about herself).
