Dr. Phil did a follow up with the two girls, and here is the story. I'm so pleased he got involved and may provide more help for these girls. Keep in mind, one is a mother of 2. Thanks to Flora Jessop (our Hero) they got out.

He follows up with Fawn B. and Fawn H., who escaped from the sect in Colorado City. They live with Fawn H.'s brother, Carl, who escaped years ago, and his wife, Joni. Both girls' formal education stopped in elementary school where they were taught that man never landed on the moon and dinosaurs never existed.
"The two Fawns seem to be doing great," says Carl. "They're more assertive, more self-assured. They seem to have fun and joke around and they're a little giddier than they were before ... They've really learned that they're not there to serve someone else."

Joni agrees. "Just the way they carry themselves. Even the way they walk. They're not ashamed anymore," she says. "I am extremely proud of Fawn and Fawn. They both are striving really hard in school. They are actually going to finish four years of high school in two years." I'm happier," says Fawn B. "I'm making big steps in life. I feel like I can live my life the way I think is right."

They recently took a trip to Boston, where they met with a counselor and cult specialist. Fawn B. says she has learned a lot. "We watched these videos of different cults. And they have so much in common, like the women being lower than the men. There's always one person that's higher than all of them," she says. They also visited a science museum for the first time, but Fawn B. is still not sure dinosaurs ever existed.

"I feel like I'm just starting my life over," says Fawn H., who loved their trip to Boston. "That was really cool. I've never been anywhere else, besides Arizona and Utah. And to go out and see other cultures ..." Fawn wants to go to college and become a psychologist. "Now I have goals. I have things to live for," she says.
Carl and Joni are proud of the girls, but say it's still a slow process. "There's been a couple times that Fawn's brother has called and really raked her over the coals. It's really upset me," says Carl.
"He totally believes that her salvation lies in coming back and when he calls, he verbally beats her up," Joni explains.
But they are seeing progress. "Before, she'd just sit and take it and she'd feel bad for hours," says Carl. "But now she's standing up and saying, 'Well, that's not true and I don't have to listen to that.'

Fawn told her brother not to call her anymore. "I was so proud of myself," she says. "It made me feel I could conquer anything. I can stand up for what I believe in."

"You've really entered a new world," says Dr. Phil. "Has this been a fun blossoming for you, or has this been more scary and intimidating?"
"It's not as scary anymore. You learn about new things and it's a really nice experience," says Fawn B. "It was kind of scary at first," says Fawn H. "But after that, it got really fun. I wanted to learn more, I wanted to know what's going on."

Dr. Phil asks about their "lightbulb moment" when they were on the show last time. Both girls reported that it was when Dr. Phil told them that he didn't want to tell them what to do or else he'd be just like Warren Jeffs. "Why was that so important to you?"
"It was important to me because I don't want somebody to take over my life again," says Fawn B. "And I was waiting for you to say that because that's how I knew I could trust you."
Fawn H. agrees. "I didn't want anybody to tell me what to do anymore. And for you to say that, I was like, 'Holy cow, I don't have to do what they say.'"

Revealed: The chilling audiotapes of convicted rapist Warren Jeffs 'training' his child brides for sex in his 'heavenly sessions'

Disturbing audiotapes of notorious polygamist Warren Jeffs training his 'spiritual wives' to have sex with him were released by a Texas court.
The convicted child rapist can be heard panting and breathing heavily as he instructs his 'ladies' on how to please him as well as each other.
The chilling tapes, that were key pieces of evidence in the polygamist leader's trial, brought jurors to tears last week at the Tom Green County Courthouse in San Angelo.

Jeffs was sentenced to life in prison for aggravated sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl and 20 years for the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl.

The 55-year-old head of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints perverted his position to 'satisfy his own personal appetites and desires,' prosecutor Eric Nichols said.

Jeffs' desires are recorded on audiotape that authorities seized from his car and from the church's Yearning For Zion Ranch compound in Eldorado, Texas.

The tapes, released yesterday, contain what prosecutors used in evidence of Jeffs instructing under-age girls to have sex with him.

At one point, Jeffs is heard saying God instructs 'for quorums of wives to be with me, to assist me. To be a comfort. Yes, even physically. For more than one woman is with me at a time... sexually together.'

Jeffs repeatedly refers to the sexual relations as 'heavenly sessions,' and he instructed the girls to 'assist each other' during the sessions.

Jeffs can be heard saying: 'You have to know how to be excited sexually. The Lord has intended that my ladies, all of my ladies be trained.'
In other chilling remarks Jeffs says: 'But when you are with me you must be inspired. You have to be inspired to assist me. Very few of my ladies have been allowed to assist me. To assist me because it takes a heavenly gift. You have to pray harder than ever.'

In the tapes Jeffs is heard telling the girls 'what you are about to do is important'.

While Jeffs can be heard panting and breathing heavily, the girls can be heard quietly saying 'Amen' in the background.

He also encourages the girls to take off their clothes saying: 'Ladies were unclothed. The Lord came here while we were in circle prayer, they heard his presence.

'You have been trained to keep you body covered from others when I am not present. You need to be as comfortable undressed as dressed when you are around each other.'

He goes on to say: 'You will be together and feel the heavenly fire and feel the Lord's love.

'You have to know how to be excited sexually and to be excited to administer that comfort and strength and you have to be able to assist each  other, and you have to be prepared to be trained to do this against the time I would need your help, The Lord's help. All my ladies need be trained.'

In a twisted finale Jeffs tells the girls: 'You ladies just don’t know how men out in the world are.'

A young female voice replies: 'We’re so glad we don’t know.'

The court had heard how Jeffs' wives were both the victims of his abuse and the accomplices, subjected to a cruel world of worship and sexual abuse, while also proving their worth to their leader by holding down their peers while they were assaulted.

The latest revelations come as Astonishing pictures emerged showing the Texan polygamist dressed in mainstream clothes while on the run with one of his favorite young wives.

Jeffs was pictured on a motorbike with young follower Naomi Jessop clutching his waist.
Evading capture as one of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted criminals, he can be seen posing by landmarks in St. Louis, while in others Miss Jessop smiles for her leader's camera, dressed in shorts, a tank top and socks under sandals.

Prison booking photographs which now show the rapid fall of a man who thrived on power - shaved, skinny and pale, Warren Jeffs looked a broken man as he stared blankly towards a future locked behind bars.
He has now begun his sentence at the Byrd Unit in Huntsville, Texas, where he is allowed no visits and no calls.

The unit is used to house death row inmates and those on life sentences without parole before they are moved on to the facilities where they will remain for the rest of their lives.

DNA evidence presented during the trial proved Jeffs had fathered a child with a 15-year-old child bride.

During the trial an FBI agent read Jeffs' journal - which prosecutors say proved he knew his behaviour was wrong.

The court heard that Jeffs wrote: 'Things are happening so quickly. There is an even younger girl that the Lord wants me to take. She is 13. For some reason, the Lord is sending me these girls that can be worked with.'
He also wrote: 'If the world knew what I was doing, they would hang me from the highest tree.'

During the trial prosecutors suggested that the polygamist leader told the girls they needed to have sex with him in order to atone for sins in his community.


FBI agent John Broadway testified that fathers who gave their young daughters to Jeffs - their supposed prophet - were rewarded with young brides of their own.

Girls who proved reluctant to have sex with Jeffs were sent away, according to excerpts from Jeff's journals that prosecutors showed to the jury.

'If they wanted to not be rejected by God, then the new laws [Jeffs] was introducing was requiring them to participate in these sessions,' agent Broadway said.

Jeffs's conviction stems from a highly publicised raid on the sect's Yearning For Zion compound in Eldorado, Texas, in which authorities took temporary custody of some 400 children.

They later returned them to their families after an investigation and DNA tests.

Some legal experts have said that because the raid was triggered by a false report, the evidence gathered there could be disallowed.
But Judge Barbara Walther, who has presided over the case in her San Angelo courtroom since the raid, allowed evidence prosecutors said proved Jeffs abused his position in power to have sex with girls as young as 12.

TRANSCRIPT: RECORDINGS OF WARREN JEFFS' 'HEAVENLY SESSIONS'

God instructs 'for quorums of wives to be with me, to assist me. To be a comfort. Yes, even physically. For more than one woman is with me at a time... sexually together.'

'Verily, thus sayeth the Lord unto you you my servant Warren: I, the Lord thy God, look upon thee at this time and my smile shines upon thee and these my daughters who are with me.'
'The Lord is ready to scourge and destroy this people for rejecting for not being prepared to build a temple for not being Zion. He required that I come to this land quickly and atone for the people and the atonements have come to such severity that I am taken right close to death. It is a heavenly justice administered and my ladies at the right moment are called to assist me and through their tenderness and in their wifely womanly ways are able to revive me. I am not to go into the hands of the medical people or they will destroy me. The Lord has appointed that my wives who are filled with the holy ghost can help revive me, as that eternal heavenly justice is completed. The Lord showed me that he was taking me right to death through these atonements and with my ladies as quorums to do this work.'
'This is an inordinate of the celestial law that the wives of the heavenly prophet perform. These three ladies stepped forward and assisted me. At that time I was very lonely. They have to know how to touch, to be a comfort... you have to know how to be excited sexually. The Lord has intended that my ladies, all of my ladies be trained.'
'I am very merry. All I am interested in is learning more of the spirit and your relationship with me is for that very thing and we will be together to feel the heavenly fire accomplish the Lords love and nothing less. You helping me will resolve... perhaps you will be with me when I am not down and out - we should always be with the heavenly fire in our connections. The Lord showed me that I don't always have to be near close to death before my ladies are with me, but they do need to be filled with the spirit of love.'
'I came to this land of refuge at 11.15 at night on October 12, and there were seven ladies here doing their work and they were ladies that had had experience with me and had trained most of that had witnessed the Heavenly Sessions, they know of the all consuming fire. They were unclothed I had them put on their white robes... this is dated October 13 while I was still her way past midnight.
There were eight ladies present, the quorum of seven, and I brought Naomi here with me. And the Lord came here while we were in circle prayer they felt his presence, and the Lord had me voice this revelation which will be recorded during the circle prayer. These ladies felt the all consuming fire of this ritual given. In this revelation there is a greater training, how to be a heavenly wife. That is why I have told you, I don't just need earthly wives, I can only use heavenly wives.
You have to be so pure...'
'This takes place in such privacy, people don't know anything about it'
'How can the spirit of God be here if there's something wrong here?'

Warren Jeffs sentenced to life plus 20 years in prison as picture emerges of 50 brides, bred to worship the polygamous 'prophet'

Standing neatly side by side, 50 young girls pose as if for a school yearbook, their smiles every bit as uniform as their pastel outfits and tightly quaffed hairdos.  Their innocent enthusiasm is focused on one goal alone - worshiping the man framed behind them, who has cruelly bred them for manipulation.  As a Texas jury sentenced Jeffs to life plus 20 years in prison for his crimes as their church leader, extraordinary pictures have emerged of the wives of the notorious polygamist, offering insight into the twisted world of subjugation with which he surrounded himself. 

Jeffs, the 55-year-old self-proclaimed prophet and leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, was last week convicted of two counts of sexually assaulting a child - one 12 and one 14-year-old.
Today, after brief deliberations, the jury at court in Texas sentenced him to the maximum possible time behind bars for his crimes.
Jeffs's wives were both the victims of his abuse and the accomplices, subjected to a cruel world of worship and sexual abuse, while also proving their worth to their leader by holding down their peers while they were assaulted.

He was on the FBI's Most Wanted list but had evaded arrest for years before his capture in 2006, surrounding himself with doting believers and underage wives who he bred to service his sexual desires.  
Of his 78 wives, 29 are said to have been former stepmothers - having previously serviced Rulon Jeffs, Warren Jeffs's father and predecessor as the church's ecclesiastical leader.
56 of the girls were each others sisters and 24 were under the age of 17.
Over the course of the trial, the jury in Texas has heard a series of depraved insights into the world of the dictatorial leader of a polygamist sect, which has more than 10,000 members worldwide.
One of Jeffs's nephews testified that he was raped by the supposed prophet when he was just five-years-old. He said Jeffs instructed him to keep the assault secret because it is 'between you, me and god'.
A niece also testified about an incident which occurred when she was aged seven and other witnesses spoke out, revealing a world of manipulation and control, where Jeffs banned followers from 'parades, dances, music, and even the color red'.
Perhaps most shocking of all has been the revelation that some of the young wives assisted the pedophile with his sexual assaults.
In a confused world where they were brainwashed to service the demands of their leader, however abusive, three of Jeffs’s wives were said in court to have held down the 12-year-old victim while Jeffs raped her.
One of the girls bound the child's arms and legs to stop her moving, tapes seized from the compound where they lived in Eldorado, Texas, revealed.
It is unclear whether the women will be prosecuted for their roles in the abuse. Many argue their submission was borne out of a deeply engrained fear of Jeffs, who took over the community in 1998 from his father, who had raised him to believe the women were rightfully his to abuse as a birthright. 
As sect leader, Jeffs 'documented everything he did, keeping track of every marriage he performed, every young woman he wed, even recording his intimate moments.'
During a 2008 raid, these recordings, which helped secure his conviction, were seized by authorities. The explicit tapes, when played in court, caused shocked jurors to break down in tears.
One was 'a 20 minute audiotape that began and ended with a man saying a prayer' before sexually assaulting the 12-year-old in front of three other of his wives, according to prosecutors.
The audiotape from 2004 was played in court  before another, made within hours of the first, in which prosecutors say Jeffs can be heard having sex with all the girls at the same time.
In one tape, he is heard telling the girls they 'need to be excited'. Jurors also heard him tell the girls that if they refused to please him in what he dubbed the 'heavenly sessions', they would be 'rejected by God'.
In a cruel irony, the girls were encouraged by Jeffs by being told their compliance would help atone for the sins of their community.
Other shocking photographs have also emerged, including ones showing Jeffs holding and passionately kissing an underage female church member and one revealing a bed where ritual sex sessions were carried out in front of a church audience.
State witness Rebecca Musser - a former FLDS member who was married as a young girl to Jeffs' father - told the court she had received training about how beds in the temple were to be used in sexual rituals before it was built.
Miss Musser said beds inside the temple were arranged so that witnesses could see the abuse and that a special seat was placed for someone to record the sexual acts.

Warren Jeffs gets life in prison for sex with underage girls .

San Angelo, Texas • A jury on Tuesday sentenced polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs to life in prison for having sex with underage girls.

Jurors deliberated for 40 minutes before ordering Jeffs to serve life in prison on one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and 20 years in prison on one count of sexual assault of a child. They also determined Jeffs must pay a $10,000 fine.

In a closing statement given Tuesday morning, prosecutor Eric Nichols told the jury the 55-year-old Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints leader was a man who "perverted a religion to his own ends" and treated women and children not as human beings but as "property for sexual gratification and child bearing."

"Evidence is this case shows this is not the prosecution of a people, this is a prosecution to protect a people," Nichols said.

Prosecutors rested their case against Jeffs in the sentencing phase of his trial on Monday. Jurors last week convicted Jeffs in connection with two plural marriages to girls ages 12 and 15.

During the sentencing phase, prosecutors presented evidence of other so-called bad acts committed by Jeffs. Jurors were told Jeffs took a total of 78 plural wives, including 12 girls he wed at age 16 and another 12 he married at age 15 or younger, according to evidence and testimony presented in court Monday.

Jurors heard several audio recordings of what prosecutors said was Jeffs giving sexual instruction to underage wives and even having intercourse in a baptismal font inside a temple at the sect’s Yearning for Zion Ranch in Eldorado.

Jeffs represented himself during the guilt or innocence phase of his trial and chose not to attend his sentencing hearings. After prosecutors rested their sentencing case against Jeffs on Monday, new Jeffs defense lawyer, Jed Silverman, of Houston, declined to call any witnesses.

FLDS Polygamists Aid and Abet Sexual Predators

In cultures where a segment of the population has no rights, the percentage of abuse is always in direct proportion to the division between those of entitlement and those without rights. Polygamist cultures are based on an imbalance of power, inequality and submission of women. When men aspire to Godhood and women are reduced to breeding stock, as in the FLDS polygamist groups, the gap of inequality expands with the crimes against the disempowered. Child brides, child molest and abuse masquerade as religious rights. Currently Canada seeks court intervention on the legality of polygamy. Many assume the degree of child abuse,  child brides and human rights violations are confined to the FLDS polygamists in the Canadian court battle, but these polygamists are not unusual. They are typical.

Among blood line polygamists’ child brides were a reality that has always produced a promise to stop it when the law was involved and always continued secretly with the justification that God’s laws are higher than man’s. I am a product of polygamy. These cults from Canada to Mexico traffic women who are my relatives. I grew up in the AUB ( Allred) polygamist group.   
The AUB polygamist group noted several members accused of child molest: Joseph Thompson in 1994, (my brother in law), George Maycock in 1998 and Shevroll Palacios in 2002.

The Apostolic United Brethren "released" (formally let them go from their positions or affiliation) those accused of child molestation. They "released" others who may bring down their name. They DID NOT report them; send them away OR INFORM THEIR FAMILIES. My sister, who complained about the molestation, was "released" from Joe and given to another cult member. My sister was devastated that SHE was ousted from her sister wives BECAUSE SHE TOLD, and nothing was done to Joe. These men and others like them STAYED RIGHT WERE THEY WERE and continued too affiliate themselves heavily with the FLDS leaders. My sister remains loyal and dependent on those who subordinate her. The price of truth is very high, especially when you family, your home and your survival depends on your loyalty.  AUB web sites were created for AUB protection, not the protection of the women and children, but they are a good source of information on how they handle the criminals who are discovered in all types’ crime.  After the polygamist raids in 1953, Life Magazine featured polygamist Clyde Mackert as the “poster child” of wonderful religious polygamy. The title was “Heroes of the 1953 Raid”. Clyde Mackert’s wives included two of my sisters. His daughters have gone public about the incest in the family. Kathleen Mackert, one of Clyde Mackert’s daughters shares her reality.Also Rowena Mackert’s words, “My father had been molesting me,” and “Two of the threats came from Warren Jeffs”.

Tom Green; polygamist. Find him on any web search. He took his 13 year old step daughter as one of his wives. (My niece). My brother was infuriated, but would do nothing because he himself had been polygamist and he feared the outcome if he spoke out. Linda was born to my brother’s plural wife, Beth, before she married Tom. Tom Greene ‘s plural wife Karen had two daughters Tom also took to wife, Carli Bjorkman age 15 and her younger sister Hannah Leigh Bjorkman age 14. Tom had another plural wife, June Johnson ( a half sister to Beth). June was the mother of Shirley and LeeAnn Bagley. Tom took young Shirley to wife when she was 16 and LeeAnn when she was 14. Allison Ryan became Tom’s wife when she was 16.
When Beth Cook, my sister in law, was 12 years old, Roy Johnson, the leader of Short Creek ( now Colorado City), gave Beth as a plural wife to a man old enough to be her grandfather. He also gave Beth’s nine year old sister to the same man. These facts and the mind set of these people can be found in “Polygamy Under Attack” by John R. Llewellyn  pages 68 through 73. If crimes against children are hidden in an illegal society, do they hide other crimes as well? Consider welfare fraud.
These are a few peeks inside of fundamentalist polygamy. Justification for this sick behavior is blamed on;King David of the Bible (thousands of years ago)Mormon Pioneers (a hundred and fifty years ago)A church they admit they don’t belong to.  Any one everyone except themselves.  Adults are responsible for THEIR behavior.  When will we stop ignoring abuse, trafficking of child brides and government fraud in the name of religion? When will we stop the slavery in our own country?

FLORA JESSOP - Reaction to the guilty verdict

 I escaped from polygamy 15 years ago and now live in Phoenix,  Arizona with my husband and two children. I fought for my freedom, just as the children trapped today fight for their right to be free. After turning to DCFS for protection, I was sent back to the polygamy compound, into the cult I asked them to protect me from. I was severely punished for running away and spent the next three years in seclusion, held hostage by my uncle Fred Jessop, and kept from my siblings and even my mother.  In April, 2001, my fourteen year old little sister, Ruby, was married to her stepbrother, Haven Barlow. Ruby also had the courage to run away and sought her brothers help. After one week, she was returned to the polygamy compound and disappeared.
  When I contacted Utah authorities in DCFS and the Washington County Sheriff's Office for help to get my sister the protection she needed they agreed to help. They did not do so, however. After meeting with DCFS in St. George, where I was promised help for Ruby, I found they thwarted my efforts.  After thirty five days, they finally met with Ruby but once again failed to enforce the child protection laws they are mandated to support.  Ruby and I were both betrayed by the very system that is responsible for protecting children from sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, statutory rape, coercion, and forced marriage. These rights are guaranteed to all children but those living inside polygamy remain unprotected.
  I have vowed to stop this injustice and am now focusing on demanding that a federal prosecutor be named to intervene on behalf of these neglected children.
  Both Utah and Arizona have repeatedly and long term failed to protect children in polygamy from abuses of all kinds. Ruby is a hostage. No one has seen or heard from her for ? days. Please help us publicize this travesty of justice.  I am working with others to establish a foundation to help children escape polygamy  so they can secure the rights all other citizens enjoy in this democracy.  These children need help completing their educations, finding homes, jobs and adjusting to a world they know little about.

She has been active since the early 2000s in anti-child abuse work particularly focusing on the plight of women and children in the FLDS. She founded an organization, "Help the Child Brides" (later dissolved) and later joined "Child Protection Project" with fellow activist Linda Walker. We Will be writing about Flora at a later date. Warren Jeffs: Polygamist Leader Says God Demands Judge's Removal In Child Sex Assault Trial 

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Polygamist leader Warren Jeffs was unsuccessful Monday in a third attempt to remove the Texas judge overseeing his child sex assault case – this time based on the claim that God demands a change.
The head of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints filed a motion purporting to quote God as saying state District Judge Barbara Walther should "step away from this abuse of power against a religious and pure faith in the Lord."
After a short recess to assess the motion, Walther ruled the trial would continue under new Texas Supreme Court rules that went into effect Monday. The new standard no longer requires an immediate hearing to recuse a judge after evidence in a case has been heard. Walther said a hearing would be held later.
Jeffs is accused of sexually assaulting two underage girls he took as brides. His church is an offshoot of mainstream Mormonism that believes polygamy brings exaltation in Heaven, and followers see Jeffs as God's earthly spokesman.
The 55-year-old fired his attorneys last week and has representing himself. He gave a speech defending polygamy Friday, then read a statement he said was from God. The statement promised "sickness and death" unless what it described as the persecution of his religion ceased.
Monday's filing included what Jeffs said was a revelation to early Mormon church leader Joseph Smith Jr., dated July 12, 1843. Jeffs also filed what he said were 29 orders from the Lord when they spoke last week, including one in which God sent "a crippling disease upon (Walther) which shall take her life soon."
Walther contracted polio when she was younger and walks with a limp.
"I, your Lord, say to you, I shall bring to light your evil intent now, before all people, to destroy my church on earth," Jeffs wrote in the filing.
Jeffs went through seven attorneys in the six months leading up to the trial, and prosecutors accused him of changing lawyers just to stall. Walther denied a request for a delay after the last firing, saying allowing another postponement would be tantamount to giving in to manipulation of the court.
