Review "Sister Wives" "Tell All" s04e11

Tamron Hall pledged viewers hard hitting questions and a behind the scenes look at the Browns. Hard hitting? More like nerf ball and pillow fights. Made the behind the scene posts at SWB look smokin' hot! First question up was about getting the McMansions. Promptly for me the volume drifted down and I got fixated on things like the fact Meri has had her tooth fixed or how many baby doll ruffle tops do they own all together. You know the hard hitting stuff. Meri, Tamron's fav, jump started next season's storyline by saying jealousy could be the problem in paradise. She also informs us that Mariah is going out of state for college. Guess that big issue wasn't really an issue after all since this was obviously taped long ago.
                                                                                         
The group is still chewing the cud

of covetousness when BAM! Out of nowhere, Robyn gives me a little gem. Make this gem#3. I bet in 6 months we never never see this happen again. Bored with her cud chewing, she decides NOW would be a good time to get that green goo out of her eyes. Yes! We live for this! This wasn't so boring after all! She's a picking that green goo out of her eye, rollin' it

                                                                  

around in her fingers as she looks intently on her new find, then the best part..FLICKS it away. Why it was sheer genius of a good 4 seconds! I sure hope it didn't land on Kody. No wonder he didn't comfort her when she was trying to muster up those fakey tears over her loss of purr-ity for the umpteenth time! He didn't want that slimey stuff on his new jeans!
Give it UP Robyn, so you got some before you got married the first time. I can think of worse things you have done, oh like interrupt Kollene and make it about you.

She really is a scene stealer. When the talk turns to the UNLV panel discussion, she makes this brilliant declaration about those anti-polygamists. "They're not there to find answers, they are there to say you are wrong and your family needs to break apart." No, sweetie, they were there to inform the public of their stories. Not validate you or Janelle or invalidate you. Do these folks know what a panel discussion is? Even my kids were asking the same question.

How unfair it was that in the first few seconds of the show they flash a scene of a crowd/you hear "from the public criticism"/flash to Kollene saying SW hate each other/flash to Robyn's shocked face. Shame on them for using an abused young adult to rile up shock value.

The Brown teens looked great. They are some more shining examples of our future. Smart, classy, and very articulate. Shame they seem to be brought out for the sole purpose of having their parents' back on the issues.    

      

We have watched them grow. Spunky little Maddie was the quiet one this session. When asked if she was going into polygamy, Aspyn discussed studying her parents religion to decide what she believed, which was a wonderful moment of Fundamental Mormon clarity. So, for the young adults, a little childhood reminder: "You’re off to great places, today is your day!" "You're mountain is waiting, so get on your way!" - Dr. Seuss

 

I've mellowed a tad toward Meri upon hearing her praise from Kollene. She seemed to be the go-to lady for our interviewer, and did a fairly good job. Meri wins the best makeup and hair award from SWB. Baby issue? No I'm not going there. Not feeling like beating a dead horse today. What's the holdup? Everett McGill said it best. 'Cause you know,"It's a fool that looks for logic in the chambers of a human heart."

 Janelle looked great. But she is reminding me more and more of a robotic mentality. Validate..Invalidate..Monogamy ..Polygamy..I wouldn't be surprised if she started moving like the robot from "Lost in Space" shouting "Danger Will Robertson!" Janelle always appears very nice. I think she's in love with the man and somehow has a way of compartmentalizing the crazy that goes with living in "the lifestyle." We thinks she looks great and enjoy watching her weight loss transformation. For that, we tip our hat to Janelle. 

Christine drank the grape kool-aid long ago and it's showing, sweetheart. Curiosity is a sign of intelligence, but to Christine that seems to make Mykelti a wild child. Do you think the voices she hears inside her head are fearing there's something out there, out there that just might be normal and fulfilling?
Christine is still hopped up at Aunt Kristyn during the "Tell All." Real reason you ask? Well, the Browns are living illegally. They want polygamy decriminalized. Kristyn wants to stop polygamy from becoming legal. But you won't hear the Browns say the facts. They simply are on opposite sides. This is not a personal attack. Not on Kristyn Decker's side, anyway.

 Kody. What do I have to say about Kody? I'll just let him speak for himself.

"Anonymous and Daughter" has been to the shop, took pictures and shared with all of us. She saw my post hoping she'd go, and took me up on it. We thank her, and know you will enjoy her report/pictures.

Here's what she reported: 

We spoke with two of the employees, who were very nice and hospitable to us. Hope, the GM, mentioned that the MSWC merchandise didn't come into the store until last week, and that TLC was there Fri. to film it. (Does that surprise you?)  

*Note: Think you might of seen Hope on the show? Nope. The lady showing Kody and Krew around in the GUILT store was Kimiko Peterson, Director of Adv/Public Rel./ Social Media at the Silverton Hotel. Call that a grand tour!

She also said they may be have an in store meet and greet in the next couple of weeks. 

**Hope also mentioned that the real reason SW jewelry was placed in The Guilt is because they already had a business relationship with Gina's ex-husband, Michael Wilson. The story about MSW doing business with Guilt due to the fact that nobody else wanted to wasn't true.  It was because there was already a business connection with Guilt. 

Hope showed us the birthstone necklaces that he was currently marketing through The Guilt. She didn't say whether or not the pieces were moving or not, but they were getting lots of interest as a result of the show. 

I asked Anonymous and Daughter, "So tell us about the store, and does the jewelry remind you of Claire's or some other store?" 
 

The store was very similar to a gift shop version of a Claire's.  In fact, my daughter made the comment on the way home that it kind of reminded her of Claire's. Lots of "chochkies" and Las Vegas souvenirs, a candy counter, some bottles of liquor behind a locked case, travel hygiene area - razors, toothpaste, etc.  The store was pretty small, 20' X 20' at most and very crowded with lots of tables of stuff.  If you've never been into a casino gift shop, I would say it was similar to the gift shops at most airports. 

At first, we had a hard time finding MSWC merchandise, but then saw it was displayed on the glass counter near the cash register in the center of the store.  The quality of the MSWC merchandise was just like something I would expect to see at Claire's.  It probably wouldn't turn your skin green, but definitely costume jewelry. It was big and clanky and trendy looking.  I prefer more understated and contemporary jewelry myself. 

Hope mentioned was that they had negotiated to sell each piece for $1.00 less than what it is priced at on MSWC. She stated that the $1.00 less per piece was something that they negotiated with the Brown's.  We took it to mean she wanted to keep it within a certain price point to be comparable to the other items in the store.  Just want to clarify, they only carried the "budget line" and I think she said that the chain was $15.00 (not sure about the $ other pieces).  I know it's only a dollar, but for whatever reason, she felt like that was the price that would sell in the store.  One other thing that I thought was curious (and a personal pet peeve of mine) there were no prices on the pieces.  We had to ask if we wanted to know.

Stop Dragging my Heart Around...and Other Nonsense..Sister Wives Blog...NEW VIDEO, Time Capsule Choices

William Winn Brown, Kody's father, has passed. His obituary in post below.


 I have to confess I've been a bad girl this week.

I let my mouth fly in the face of the posting guidelines that we made.

I soo knew that Cynical so wanted to put me in Time Out. She let me go like you let a child go a little farther away into the ocean, watching carefully. Luckily, I swiftly caught myself and came back! We make such a Good Team! 

It wasn't MY fault..I mean...I...well...Robyn was just to freaking goofy to not lost my patience or my lost sexualitililty. And it him broke her heart. He stole it from me.
Or whatever the manipulative minion said, it's my story too.

Truth is, I am better than that and so are you. We shall go back to Thinking before we Type. Let's go back to the fun loving yet respectful people we are.

 I keep hearing Stevie Nicks singing "Stop Dragging My Heart Around."

Kody has a receding hairline in common with Tom Petty. Robyn has nothing on the face of this or any other planet in common with Stevie Nicks other than possibly she has two legs. But the juurrreryy is still out on that.

I keep seeing that heart necklace fall on the floor. KA-Thunk. The real Mister Mister is so sick of my cupping of hands and chasing him saying "Here it is!" that he got me last night by jumping up and saying "Repent ye, for I am purrr and you are not! You have not prepentded enough. Thou shalt not speak to me again with cupped hands until truly worthy of my love!" (Angry Voice - Pointing at me, ok, you had to be there but it was funny.) I fell in shame at his feet.

My 2 yr old granddaughter just came out of my son's room and ran to Pappy angrily and started smacking him on the butt going "BAD PAPPY BAD PAPPY!"
Out of the mouths of babes. I guess a 2 yr old can understand female abuse more than Robyn.  
(Yes we re-assured her we were making a funny. No children were harmed in the making of our joke, but we might of warped on or two in the many years of child raising.)
