Curtis T. Brown, brother of "Sister Wives" Kody Brown, passed away.

http://www.wyodaily.com/obituaries.htm

WORLAND – Beloved husband, father, brother, son and friend, Curtis Taylor Brown, 34, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Curtis was born on Sept. 24, 1978 in Lovell, the seventh child of Winn and Genielle Brown.

Early on, it was apparent that Curt was gifted intellectually and spiritually. He had a great imagination, writing and drawing his own comics. He was a voracious reader and loved learning, with a photographic memory, who quoted movies, literature and scripture. As he grew, he became a talented poet and Shakespearian philosopher. He always had a drive for self-improvement and he would read and tinker with something until he became an expert on it. His passion for motorcycles and tearing them apart to rebuild them with his own amazing Dirty Ratt flair was just one of many examples of his talent and self-drive. He was also blessed in his career as an oil and gas completions consultant, which was another example of his need to become the best that he could be. Anyone who knew him knew that he was the best father, husband and friend, no improvement needed.

He met the love of his life and soul mate, Erica Brush, on a blind date, knowing that night that she would be his wife and she felt the same way about him. Throughout their 13 years of marriage, they were still honeymooners. Together they were blessed with three amazing children, Carter, 12, McCayde, 8, and Kinlynn, 7.

He had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and a giving heart. One example of this is recently when Curt learned that students at his children’s school were running a mile race without sufficient shoes. He drove to Cody late that night to buy 30 pairs of running shoes for those students so they would have them in time for the run the next morning. Even in death, Curtis generously gave life to many people as an organ donor.

His favorite thing in the world to do was snuggle with his kids and wife on the couch and watch old movies. It was their favorite thing to do with him as well. He loved spending time with them whether swimming, playing Legos and going turkey hunting with his sons, playing dolls with his daughter, going for bike rides with them and playing at the park. He always looked forward to his time at home and loved to surprise his wife with flowers and a beautiful self-penned poem. Always the romantic, he made his wife feel like a queen and the most blessed woman on Earth. They were truly soul mates.

Curtis touched lives wherever he was with his infectious smile and amazing personality. He will be missed by all.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Erica; his children, Carter, McCayde and Kinlynn; his parents; and his siblings, Cindy, Scott, Lorilyn, Kody, Christy, Tricia, Travis, Nicole and Michael. He is also survived by Erica’s family, Mike and Diana Brush, Levi, Seth (Tiffany) and Caleb and an adopted brother, Joe Bertagnole.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 22 at 10 a.m. at the Worland Middle School Auditorium, 2150 Howell Avenue with graveside services following. The viewing will be held Friday, June 21 from 6-7 p.m. at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1320 Big Horn Avenue in Worland.

Memorial donations may be made in Curtis’ name in care of Bryant Funeral Home.

Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.

CURTIS BROWN was the friendly, affable brother of Kody Brown who came down to ride motorcycles in S03E07 "Brown Boys Do Vegas."

Curtis and his wife Erica Brush Brown.

This picture reminded me of the excellent preaching Curtis did at the Brown home.

Who can forget this clip, where Breanna was a tad too excited to see the Uncles she may have met once. Curtis and his wife Erica are seen in this clip, along with Kody's youngest brother Michael and eldest brother Scott:

We here at Sister Wives Blog have our most sincere thoughts and prayers on our mind to the entire Brown family.

We are not opening this post up to comments out of respect for the Browns. We suggest that if you would like to give your condolences, the best thing to do is to reach out to them on Facebook, Twitter, TLC forum, possibly the funeral home website, or other Social Media that they use.

Why?  So that the Browns will be sure to see them.

Janelle Schriever Brown - one of our fav's on "Sister Wives"

Janelle Schriever Brown

What have we gleaned about Janelle? Not as much as we would like! Janelle

*Comes from a long line of LDS Mormon on both sides.

*Graduate of Bountiful High School

*She was married to Meri’s brother Adam Barber from ’88-’90.

*Obviously is college educated and so is her mother

*Appears pragmatic and level headed about some things; oblivious to others.

*Runs the finances for the household

*Seems to be more of a friend to Kody- at least pre Robyn – seems he leans to her for decisions. Kody calls her his “best friend”. Could be called the head of the operations.

*We’re not sure of her religious standing, how important that is to her. She says her children are free to choose their lifestyle. I think she married more for the family than the religion.

*Give Christine a lot of credit for the child rearing, but appears to be a great mom.

*I like her, I like listening to her more than any of the other wives.

*Would love to see her lose weight, not for looks, but for health.

*Lost many of her family members by joining the polygamist “lifestyle”

* Was very disturbed about the move at first – or so the THOUGHT until we saw her laugh about it on the Access Hollywood clip.

*Likes to camp. Got me on that one. She looks like an indoors gal to me, but says she prefers the outdoors. Not Me! I’ll take the Hilton anyday!

*Gets to visit her mom, (Sheryl Usher Schriever Fryer)  and Kody’s dad, Winn, when going to Wyoming, since their married - that’s kinda cool or weird, depending how you see it.

*I've never found Sheryl's parents- need them for the genealogy.

*Mother - Sheryl Lee Usher Shriever Fryer, now a wife to Winn Brown

*Father: Robert Alan Schriever, died in 1972

*Had a step father – Merlin Fryer.

*Sister, Carrie

*Had a Company called the E Z Pantry. Also worked for the Govt. in Utah.

*Says fun, whimsical things on twitter.

*Her tree has no polygamists. All roots flow back to Sweden and Denmark, possibly why she has the fair skin and blonde hair.

* I think she is VERY guarded in her words and her friendships. My guess, it would take a lot for her to trust you.

* I hope she's deciding she wants more out of her relationship with Kody., She deserves it after 6 kids and a majority financial helper. I hope we see her get more kisses and snuggles this season.

*I think she's got some GREAT KIDS!

 Grandmother Margaret Pearl Schofield Schriever

Margaret Pearl Schofield Schriever 9/30/1916 ~ 3/14/2007 BOUNTIFUL - Margaret S. Schriever, age 90, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in Sandy, Utah. She was born September 30, 1916 in Salt Lake City the daughter of Percy B. and Agnes S. Schofield. She attended East High School and graduated from the University of Utah at 19 years of age. She married LaVerl L. Schriever September 1, 1938 after falling in love with him many years before probably because of his Model A Roadster. They had three sons and a daughter. She taught kindergarten and first grade more than 35 years. She taught generations of Bountiful kids at West Bountiful and Hannah Holbrook Elementary Schools. She loved to read, but her favorite pastime was to "worry" about her family and they have given her plenty to worry about. She gave service constantly to family and friends. A single request by one of her family members or others and, without hesitation, she would drive cross country to help out and do something for them. As she aged it was difficult for her to accept anyone doing something for her, thinking she should not be putting people out! Margaret is survived by her son, Jerry; daughter, Suzanne; 13 grandchildren; and 38 great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her husband, La Verl; sisters, Norma and Velda; brother, John; sons, Richard and Robert; and daughter-in-law, Mary. Very recently, she also lost her lifelong friend and sister-in-law, Mary S. Schriever. We all know they could not wait to get back together again. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 11 a.m. at the Bountiful Tabernacle (Main and Center Street in Bountiful, Utah). Friends and family may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Tuesday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery. (Source: Deseret News: 17 Mar 2007)

Grandfather LaVerl L. Schriever
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, LaVerl L. Schriever left his pain filled body, June 27, 2002 to return to his Heavenly Father and to be united with his family members who have preceded him. He was born April 25, 1912 to William H. and Bertha Nelson Schriever in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from West High School and went on to the University of Utah. He married Margaret Schofield in the Salt Lake Temple, September 1, 1938. They made their home in East Millcreek until they moved to Bountiful after LaVerl's employment took him to Hill Air Base. During the ensuing year he continued to become a master wood-worker; producing lovely buildings, exquisite furniture and furnishings, paintings and carvings that will continue to delight friends and family. LaVerl was a faithful member of the LDS Church and enjoyed the blessings of his participation. He shared his life with four children: Richard (deceased), Robert (deceased), Jerrold and Suzanne, their special mates, 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2002 at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 S. Main. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. (Source: Deseret News)

I wonder if she ever reconciled with her father’s family. In my viewpoint, if they didn’t, that’s their loss. She has beautiful children. How would they know a different life if shunned just for being born? That is very anti christian, to tell the truth. That’s about it for now! Can you think of any other items we know about Janelle?
