  1. Robin doesn't look well. I think they were all looking very haggard in this episode, especially Robin. She does not look as youthful as she once did coming into this family. Meri looks very ill as well and Kody looks as if he aged by ten years.

    1. Being a single mom to a bunch of kids with a high maintenance boyfriend who pops in every 4 days takes its toll!

    2. I thought in the individual shots where they were interviewing her alone, she looked good - shiny hair and those colors were good on her.

    2. Yep, it looks like it's official. And surprise, no mentioning of Polygamy or sister wives outside of the name of the shop. Are the Browns (or at least Christine) getting some marketing advice?

The way I see it going, Meri and Robyn have the "Fine" and crappy jewelry on the main MSWC site. Christine (and maybe Janelle) have been exiled to Cafepress to sell their own "unique" designs on mugs and t-shirts.

Kind of makes business sense to me. Except why do they offer 6 T-shirts with the same description but priced from $19.19 to $28.79. I thought maybe it was size related, but the $19.19 T-shirt sizes are large to 3x.

    3. Wow. At least Christine is poking fun at her toasters vs sharks.

But enough with using "chaos" as a buzzword - like it's a good thing.

And do they even own cats???

    4. I remember seeing Truley holding a cat in a twitter picture once.

    5. Not sure I understand the "toasters versus sharks" reference. I know about Christine's fear of toasters, and also the fact that she referred to the idea of the kids attending another church as "throwing them to the sharks," but I can't work out why these two ideas are put in juxtaposition to each other. That said, it looks as though they've taken SWB's suggestion to market mugs, tee shirts and cheaper items. Still overpriced for what you are getting though, and pretty boring.

    6. Christine won't use a toaster because according to her "more people die because of toasters than shark attacks

    7. In the first season Christine said more people die from toasters every year than from shark attacks...yeah. So. At least she's making fun of herself!

      Delete
    8. more people are killed by toasters than by sharks
-- Christine in an earlier episode, explaining why she does not use a toaster

does now make me wonder why she was concerned w/ "throwing them to the sharks", knowing the sharks are safer than toasters

wouldn't it then make more sense to say, "throwing them to the toasters"?

    9. Maybe that was someone else's cat - certainly we would have seen pets around if they were living with them. It's like their poor dog Drake - he stayed in Utah and they brought him to LV to use his death as a plot line.

    10. I think the cats comment is from something Kody said in season 1 or 2...trying to get the kids organized to leave the house is like herding cats.

    11. Meri had the cutest kitten when they were in UT. She was sewing pj's and it was "helping" her. There was a black & white border collie in the yard loose in a couple episodes.

    12. Wow, this is a lot better than the jewelry. Still nothing I would ever buy (too expensive and not my thing) but so much more reasonable and realistic than what Robyn and Kody were selling. Maybe Janelle is smarter than thought.

    13. They are soooo close to getting it right (well as right at it can be)....

Now that they've figured out cafe press, they need to turn the design control over to their children. Mykelti can do better than tee shirt designs, but she clearly has fashion sense with color and patterns. I bet she could Rock a design for this stuff in her sleep. And Maddie tweeted some of her artwork that was really good. And TRUELY, I would buy stuff designed by TRUELY. Even if it was a pastel finger paint that Christine took a digital picture of with her phone and uploaded that. Yep. An original Truely would sell.

  3. WOW! Can't wait for CJ's review on that episode! Here are my complaints:
MERI: I found it funny that everyone is crying about wanting to live near each other except Meri, she is just concerned about her privacy. Also what is that crap about seeing how the other wives spend their days? I know, they could all get jobs and then no one could see how they spend their days. But they are Brown's and Browns don't do jobs.
ROBYN: Can she get through 1 minute or 1 sentence without crying? If I watch the episode again I will count how many times she cries. Also why is she trying to force creativity out of these people for her business? You can't force creativity. Janelle is a numbers girl, not a designer. And then saying she only had a break from Sol 3 times? Come on! I call BS! She had her sister living with her! Plus where is Sol while she is getting her acrylic nails done every couple weeks?
KODY: The most disappointing of all! He feels like a visitor around his kids? He doesn't see them for 3 days at a time? After 19 years and 14 kids he doesn't know how to disciple? COME ON!
This family is not working. They need to get back together as a family. I would like to see them eating together as a family every night. Whoever's night it is with Kody cooks for the whole family. These kids need to see their father everyday. Not just as a visitor. I would love to see them all in one big house like the Duggars, with an industrial kitchen and a couple huge bedrooms lined with bunk beds for all the kids. I would love to see a psychologist come in a force them to deal with each other and live like a family again.

    1. I think she said she only had DATES that didn't involve Sol 3 times. Sounds like what most REAL people have to deal with when they have 4 kids.

After last night's episode, I can see the train getting closer and closer to the barricade at the end of the line, and the crash is coming. Even Janelle is starting to grate. Really? She can't find workout clothes in a plus size? Try Catherines . . . I was just there last week, and they have a whole section of the store for that. And they are reasonably priced - a concept the SisterWives have yet to comprehend for a successful business.

      Delete
    2. Meri saying that they could see how they spend their days is a dig at the other women I think - maybe suggesting that they don't work as hard as they claim.

      Delete
    3. They can't live together....that is why they don't live under the same roof. THEY DON'T LIKE EACH OTHER.

      Delete
    4. AZC - freakin' TARGET has plus size fitness apparel! It makes me angry that the show is giving this spin. The industry HAS addressed this. I've even seen pieces at Old Navy, low priced.

      Delete
    5. Gwen I completely agree with just about everything you said. I remember telling my husband that I felt that Kody does not seem like a dad. He's just "there" (well kind of) But I don't see a dad-ish relationship with his kids. He seems very awkward around his kids.
I also remember telling my husband after watching last night's episode that Robin is soooo emotional. No matter what she talks about - here come the tears, lol.
I really was upset about Robin getting on Jenelle like that for not being involved enough in the "business". I agree with Jenelle, it's just a hobby. I can totally understand her wanting a REAL job, which is what all of them should be doing. That's how normal people pay their mortgage. Their idea is crap and their target group very small. The only reason that they may sell some of their pieces is, that they have TV exposure and some fans are probably inclined to buy their stuff. Otherwise they would be shutting down very quickly.

      Delete
    6. It is too late for that. Now that they have each lived on there own, they have no intention of becoming "one big happy family" again. Meri wouldn't stand for it. "How you going to keep them down on the farm after they've seen Paris" so to speak.

      Delete
    7. I don't think it has anything to do with not being able to find workout clothing in her size. It has to do with Janelle seing a way to get something out of the business instead of it coming out of her pocket. Design what you need personally, wear it as advertising your product, and the business covers the expense. I'm sure that's why she wanted to open a gym, too. Why pay a yearly membership to someone else when you can get other people to cover your cost by paying you to use the same equipment and trainer? As has been said, Janelle is a numbers person and this is just her way of crunching a few more numbers out of her budget. If it doesn't pay off in the end, it's still a tax write-off. Added bonus, Robyn stops crying for a few, blessedly peaceful seconds.

      Delete
    8. I was kind of distracted during last nights episode but when Janelle went to Robin's to tell her she is going to work in the family business, was it because she wants to design jewellery or plus size workout gear?

      Delete
    9. Bleh! - good luck for them getting enough members to cover the cost on a monthly/annual basis. it was KODY who wanted to open the gym, Janelle ran with it, but she didn't do enough research. Jeez, just the EQUIPMENT ALONE for a moderate sized facility would run into the 6 figures - i'm talking cardio equipment (treadmill/elliptical/bikes etc), weight machines and/or weight training equipment, and things like exercise mats, mirrors, benches and so on. Hell even the equipment for a Curves circuit (10 machines maybe?) can run into $35k-55k. and that's just a Curves.

    10. On the show when Christine is getting ready to go to lunch with robyn, she is getting truly ready and she has a grey cat inside as well as a medium sized grey and black dog in her backyard looking inside her house. So from that show, I assume she has a dog and cat.

    11. I think the whole-family-together dinner is a good idea - if not every single weeknight (which I can imagine would be a challenge with so many kids), then at least once a week. (Who knows, maybe they are doing this on Sundays and we haven't seen it...)

      Delete
  4. What is Meri so worried about when she says she will be able to see what the other wives are doing on a regular basis once they live together again on the cul de sac? Seems like she is the one hiding something. She can't stop talking about how much she loves her privacy...

Finally, someone (Janelle) voices concern about paying the "gigantic mortgages" with the silly jewelry business. It's no surprise she doesn't want to design jewelry, it's not going to pay the bills! I can't believe Robyn doesn't get that. I guess there's no denying anymore that people are really questioning their finances and how in the heck they will pay their bills when none of them appear to have any real gainful employment.

I can't for the life of me, understand how this family functions. None of them seem to be on the same page on anything, including living together again.

    1. I particularly liked her revealing that soon, it will only be her and Kody in the house and they will spend this time getting to know one another again and working on their problems all alone...wink...wink...eat your heart out all you sisterwives who have a house full of crying, loud and fighting kids. BARF.

      Delete
    2. I think Meri is so concerned with her own privacy becase her sisterwives are gonna realize that he doesn't do shit all day long so they'll be hitting her up to babysit while they "work" Meri is just not ready for that.

      Delete
    3. I suspect Kody spends more time at Meri's house than the others realize. When he says he has to go "work", run an errand, go to a meeting, etc...he is probably at Meri's where it is peaceful and quiet. I would suspect he and Meri go out more than the rest of them do too since they are each getting a TLC paycheck and they no longer have kids to support.

      Delete
    4. I have been thinking about that, and my best guess is that the wives will be physically able to see where Kodpiece spends his evenings. They've been separated for a while now, so maybe the fact that he's banging another wife has become an abstract thought. This move will confront them with a reality they haven't had to physically see for 2 years now. JMO

    5. I want to know how they get or pay for health insurance for all 22 of them. None of the adults have a real job. Who is willing to bet those kids are on Medicaid. Sad.

  5. The financial irresponsibility of this group has become more than I can take. Robyn bemoans the fact that her creditors won't settle....did it ever occur to her to just pay off the debts? She certainly had enough cash on hand to write an earnest money check. Even if they aren't her debts -- if they were all her ex-husband's -- she accepted them during the divorce proceedings so they are now hers. Did it ever occur to her to -- gee, I don't know -- pay them? That's uncool to build yourself a mansion while refusing to pay up on previous obligations.

And who commits to (1) building a house and THEN (2) worries about how to pay for it? Figure out how you'll pay for something first and then, if you can afford it, take steps to build/purchase/etc... I'm tired of hearing them voice anxiety over paying for their mansions. If it's causing you that much anxiety, you shouldn't have committed to building them in the first place. Duh. I don't think these people have figured out Money 101: nickels and dimes add up. Eating out a lot (especially with such a large family) adds up over time. Getting your nails done adds up. Giving each other expensive gifts (fancy gun, computer, guitar, jewelry, trips to Mexico, etc...) adds up. Cut out a lot of that unnecessary fluff and maybe -- just maybe -- you'd sleep better at night and those houses won't go into foreclosure. Maybe. But not likely.

And finally, what does Kody DO? Does he do anything to bring in income? If so, what does he do with it? He mentioned "helping" Christine pay for the stone on her house, so we know he's got his own money. Where in the world does it go?

    1. Is robyn still complaining about her credit?? You've go to be kidding me. How has she not paid that off yet?

      Delete
    2. But Robyn would have to accept responsibility for her actions if she paid of her bills, and that is something we haven't seen yet. Anything that has ever gone wrong in her life is not her fault. Remember, all her bills (from Target, Victoria's Secret etc.) are her ex husband's fault, she just took them in the divorce to be nice.

      Delete
    3. Lol Freya, I can't believe Robyn, she's a space case. No one takes on debt to be nice, that's total BS. The divorce judge will "award" the debt to the person that they find incurred it. That's how the justice system is supposed to work. Duh! I bet she actually expects people to believe that it was her ex husband wearing all those lacy VS bras and panties.

  6. To me, the most striking moment from last night's episode was when Christine and Janelle were coming out of Mona's office and Janelle said something to the effect of "well, at least one house will be ready by Christmas." And then Christine just snapped. She doesn't care about the other wives' houses. Christine has had it with the whole polygamy delusion. She realizes she's just like any other single mother with a deadbeat baby daddy.

I think the question is will she continue in the lifestyle due to her religious beliefs or will she be able to break free like her mother did? I think it depends upon what sort of relationship she's got with her mother.

Finally, if these ladies want to make some money on clothes they need to start selling shirts that say Team Janelle, Team Christine, etc. The shirts would cost them five bucks or less a piece and they could mark them up to $20 very easily. Maybe even a "Run Janelle Run" shirt - it'd be a huge seller.

    1. Run Janelle Run.......that's funny!

    2. I would totally buy the "Run Janelle Run" shirt! Too Funny

    3. I could design shirts like that and put it on our CafePress site!

The problem with CafePress, is that they determine the pricing set on the items, and you just click what ones you want them to feature. Sometimes, they will run out of a particular item, and it will say something like 'temporarily out of stock' which looks like YOUR item has been selling, but it's not.

  7. I can't believe how distant the family is. I don't even know what to say that kody spend no time with his kids it seems and can't even get on them cause he feels like a visitor. I thought it was terrible for Christine to feel she can't do real estate cause she has no help with kids, meri should be able to help anyone
out but I guess all her time is spent going by houses to delay them . I just feel they made the worse decision ever on over priced houses they can't afford they need to all be together know one house as a family. I personally don't see how much longer they can keep going this way I feel no love, no unity with them.

  8. Well, another Kodyworld episode is now part of the trash pile of bad Reality Show history !!
This one was NOT amusing to watch, it was painful.

They ALL are in this together, despite what the writers/editors want to portray in the finished cuts. Every crafted clip, every plot, every episode is designed to keep the viewers buzzing and watching. The Browns keep making money, the producers keep making money.

Meri- She is the poster girl of the unhappy-bitch manipulator. The only remotely interesting thing left about Meri is to see the various shades of her "orangeness" per episode.
The scripted bit with Mariah, with her whining about the car and then Meri saying "she is just like me" was all for effect. However, it was a wise move on the producers to juice up that angle for more viewer reaction.

Janelle- Again...SHAME, SHAME on you (and on the "father" of your kids) for allowing the blatant and cruel use of your children as a plot grabber. Any of us with kids know damn well that siblings argue and fight. And more so as they get into the pre-teen/teen phase. But we also know that "parents," whether there are two parents or just one, are expected to intervene and try to diffuse the situation. There is nothing earth-shattering about any of that.
Nothing earth-shattering these days about a parent taking away the kids electronics as a consequence.
The fact that Janelle and the Idiot allowed that filming is beyond stupid, beyond any semblance of responsible parenting.
Janelle *and the Idiot* hear yelling from the kids room..and *only Janelle* runs up the stairs, of course with the cameraman in tow. The Idiot stays downstairs until Janelle finally yells for him to come up, which he then does, of course with his own cameraman in tow.
    Such contrived Bullsh*t !!
Nice that Janelle has her own trainer. So now you really should shut up about the phoney "how will I feed my kids and pay my mortgage" crap.
Janelle, you had a weight problem and you are addressing it.
    Bravo !! That's Good !!
But you still are a woman who chose and still chooses to live in this grifting, dishonest circus. And none of you are *without* funds. It's not even interesting any more where and how much you all have. Point is...all the "poor us" crap is just that...crap !!

Christine- Wow !! Is anyone really surprised that the plot line is of "Christine is going to be a realtor" is finally exposed for what it was?? Just another phoney plot that would go nowhere, but *was* good for ratings for awhile.
But...Christine is no different than the rest of them. However, it does appear that for now, she is the most useful wife to portray as dumb and lazy.
(As if the rest of them are not.)

Sobbin Robyn, (emphasis on the sobbin)- She never disappoints, does she ?
It's clear that Sobbin is the designated "star" for now. This episode was loaded with props for her character in this soap opera. But of course, that all will change as the ratings dip or rise.
She is so boring, so predictable.
Her speech pattern is interesting for lack of anything else to say about her.
It is as if she bites down on each word. ??!!

Kody- Obviously, this guy has no problem at all in letting the world see just what a complete A-hole, coward, bullsh*itter, idiot and all around scammer he is.
In fact I think he enjoys attention SO much that in his little mind, as long as he has an audience and of course, the money is rolling in, he is up for however and whatever the producers throw out there to be filmed.

One thing is very clear, the producers of this show do have their ears firmly to the ground regarding the viewers. They are reading and playing to the Blogs and FB comments. They are setting up scenarios to keep the chatter going.
It matters not if the chatter is pro or is con, as long as it continues.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. ITA - the producers have been reading this blog and have incorporated what we want into the show. We said "I want to see a normal day in the life of the wives" and that's what we get. They just so happen to have a big fight when the camera crew is there (although I'm sure it is a common thing as in most families). I swear Kody looked like he was running lines (as opposed to really reacting). I agree that most of that was scripted. And seriously that is the only interesting thing they can come up with for Meri and Mariah, that is the 'big conflict'? Seriously that was stupid and obviously for the cameras. I am enjoying it more (because they are doing what we recommend) but I feel it is faked or re-enacted. Even Mona sounded really coached. Oh well, that's reality tv I guess.

      Delete
    2. And actually in the day to day lives of kids that age, especially boys, that wasn't even a big fight.
One kid probably said something snarky to other one, which was then returned and they were off and running. Happens everyday in most houses. For that to be used as yet another "event" was ridiculous. What should have happened is that one or both of the parents should have gone upstairs, put an end to it in that moment. It shouldn't have even been known to the camera crew. But no, the cameras had to be rolling, making it into something catastrophic.
Sickening. And really sad for those kids.

      Delete
    3. If the writers/producers are in fact reading this blog then will they please make this show more interesting. It is SO predictable and its getting very boring. Show the wives fighting, not just Meri's passive aggression. Christine has already told us that she doesn't really like Robyn, let them go at each other. Have Kody pile on the affection towards Christine in front of Robyn! Tell Robyn that she is too big of a cry baby. Showing how financially irresponsible the Brown's are makes us viewers angry, it certainly doesn't make us want to support them. Robyn can't just pay her bills but she can buy an over priced house to compete with her Sister Wives? Shame on you Robyn, I don't blame your creditors for not wanting to "settle" why the hell should they? You obviously have money for everything else. Whining about not getting time out without your baby? You have three Sister Wives, loads of children, and a nanny/sister to help you! Stop whining no one feels sorry for you. Also, did anyone else notice how Robyn was going on and on about the family living together again? She never lived with the family, she demanded her own rental house so she and Kody could get to know each other. One last thing, has anyone else noticed how the kids all talk kind of the same, they hold their mouths the same and have the same expressions, they roll their eyes a lot and don't look directly at the camera. I noticed it when one of Robyn's kids was saying something, it was kind of odd...

    4. CPA Carol -

"I swear Kody looked like he was running lines (as opposed to really reacting)."

LOL! Yes!!! It did seem like Kody was reading his lines at Janelle's house! Like he would pause a moment before responding with a completely blank expression, like he had to think out the blocking of the scene too: 'stand up, walk over to stairs, walk up stairs - make sure to square your shoulders, do not lean into steps' "You need to think before you act." Go downstairs. Oops forgot to ask him to apologize to his brother, Mom & me! To the cameraman 'want another take? I can go back up and ask for the apology.' Yes? Ok. Let me think again, I need to walk, go to stairs... and ... scene.

Although, unless they had two cameras going, Meri and Meri Jr. would have to do the fake run twice. Once for the shot of them running from behind, one from them running toward the camera.

  10. Last night’s show was so much more enjoyable than the show has been in a long time. At least for me, this is what I wanted to see, the interactions with the kids on a normal night. The boys fighting and Kody asking Janelle ‘what do I do?’ is reminiscent of the Christmas tree outing with Gabe and Garrett punched each other in the nose. And then Kody says he doesn’t want to feel like the bad guy who is only around every 3 days to discipline? Hmm, telling. I don’t think he spends as much time over there as her should.

Christine – wow I was disappointed in her last night. Mona is her boss. She basically told her boss that no she hadn’t bothered to read all the paperwork for her job because it was too overwhelming. So…would you want Christine selling a house for your company when she can’t read the paperwork she was assigned? I think not. Christine wants all the goodies ($500,000 house with library, smart phones, etc.) but isn’t willing to work for them? I mean, she gave up before she ever started. You don’t quit before you even tried it!! How does she think successful people make money? Mona does own that business and what she was saying is that ‘hey I work a lot of hours to make this business successful’. Janelle looked kind of mortified when Christine was already saying she couldn’t work the hours. I think we can all safely assume that Christine will never bring a paycheck in for this family. Poor Janelle, she is the only one who seems willing, able and eager to work, really work.

Oh and the other wives must be seething today to see all that smooching between Robyn and Kody on their date. I think he might be forced to plan some dates with the other wives after that.

    1. I'm wondering if Christine thinks SHE is doing Mona a FAVOR by gracing her office with her occasional presence and that *star quality* lol. She must think that people will flock to TMI just to see her celebrity-ness.

Who the HELL does she think she is, Adam Levine???

Also, the rappelling guy is doing a good job acting like he didn't know who the Browns were. Yeah right. I wonder if President Obama showed up the week after and the guy was like "so what do you do for a living?"

    2. Can you imagine how irritating that must be? Janelle who has worked for years to pay the bills to sit across from Christine whining about how she can't work...If I was Janelle I would tell Kody to support his other wives on his own. So Janelle will be working for Mona, sacrificing her weekends to earn money that is then given to Christine, Merri, and Robyn to go get their nails done, their hair done, buy craft things that they don't need...to Spoil Mariah with whatever she wants while Janelle's kids go without and wear hand me down clothes? WOW! This is sick...NOT COOL KODY BROWN! If I were any of these women I would figure out my own expenses for myself and my children/child and tell the others to fend for themselves! This show can't be bringing in that much money, this gravy train will end...

    3. Yeah, Christine lost my respect last night. She has what, a 3 or 4 year old child and she still thinks she is going to be a stay at home mom for the rest of life? Which is fine, but clearly her family cannot afford her to not work. I don't know any job that people are walking into right now that doesn't require nights/weekends/lots of effort, nevermind jobs for high school graduates with little work experience.

Janelle did look mortified and angry. Now that Janelle doesn't need Christine or another wife to watch her kids, I wonder if she is still going to share her checks with the rest of the family, especially now that most of hers are entering college? I think she is going to either be hiding her money or refusing to share at all. There is no reason for these women and Kody not to be working.

Christine can even help with the Closet thing if she isn't going to be a realtor. Or she can try persuing an interest of her own, but she just needs to do something!

    4. I am still confused why she doesn't have a babysitter, even Kody made a point to say it. He needs to man up.. How people could ever see joy in this is beyond me. Oh and Robyn only being on a date 3 times in a year, well that is more then me and my husband but our excuse is because we both work full time and raising 4 kids. Why do I love to watch this junk?

    5. I agree CPA Carol, this episode is more of what I expect to see on the show, the 4 wives and how they spend their days. It was really surprising to see Christine lacks a certain amount of stamina. The paperwork Mona asked her to read was something she could do on her own time, the night/day before. If this were a job interview, she would not get called back! Janelle has shown her stamina, working out, losing 25 lbs in 90 days, reflecting and realizing she thought of the jewelry business only as Robin's and she needed to commit more especially with the money they have put into it and honestly telling us that she doesn't feel the communal family spirit she had in Utah. Props to Janelle! So tired of Meri/baby storyline, I'll just leave that alone (and hope the show does too going forward.)

  11. I never, never understood why the Brown's chose to build 4 separate houses. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of McMansions in Vegas that all have 6 or 7 bedrooms. Typically each one has at least 2 HUGE (700-900 square feet) master bedrooms. So let's see, 4 wives and lots of kids, hmmmm...put all the boys in one master with a full bath, all the girls in another master with a full bath, and then each wife can have her own bedroom and share a bathroom with one other sister wife. It would be easier to believe that the Browns are doing all of this for the "family" if any of them actually made some personal privacy and space sacrifices for the "unity and financial well being" of the entire family. Isn't that what polygamy is truly about, becoming a better person, practicing "taking one for the team." I've never read about how much the Browns are paid per episode, it must be quite a large sum to qualify for loans on all four homes and to be able to spread out filming and releasing episodes so sparingly. I respect their beliefs and their plight to practice this religion that I don't see having anymore negative effect than any other family when functioning responsibly and lovingly, but I do think they've become a little wrapped up in the celebrity and glamor.

    2. I thought something very similar! Remember when they were on the hunt for homes and Mona took the Krew to a land site which overlooked the strip. Kody himself stated, "If someone had a lot of cash this would be the perfect place to build a villa."
ummmmmm....why didn't you do that Kody with all the money you're using towards the mcmansions??? Would THAT enable you all to be one big happy family again???

Let's face it, these folks are terrible liars which makes for good tv (okay not good but entertaining)as we watch them weave their flimsy webs of disaster!

    3. They are all wrapped up in what is "best" for the adults in their family/relationship not what is "best" for the children which is how it should be. It seems like all of their decisions revolve around making the wives feel equal and important. Why else would they evenly divide up money? IF the children were paramount then money would be apportioned according to their needs. Christine and Janelle each have six children with Kody yet they have to make do on the same amount of money that Merri gets for her one child. That one child gets spoiled rotten while the others sacrifice. Robyn gets the same amount even though she and Kody only have one child, her other three have a Father who likely pays child support. They have loads of kids who are going off to college, one that is already there, why not finance your kids education instead of buying four houses? I would bet that Logan is taking out student loans, or some of them will have to. IF the adults in this family cared more about the family and the children then they would set their own issues aside and find a way to live together, under the same roof. They would make sure that all of the kids were treated equally, in all ways. I don't know if you all noticed this or not but on the reunion last season, Janelle and Kody's son Hunter was wearing the same old jeans that he has worn the entire time this show has been on. He's a growing boy, they can't buy him a new pair of jeans but they can buy four custom built houses? Kody complains that he is uprooted daily and moves to a different house every day with a different wife, boo hoo, your the genius that decided to live this lifestyle. These people are so irresponsible!

    4. Good observation Starbugary. I've also noticed this, everything is all about Kody and his wives the children seem lost in the shuffle. They throw the word Family around quite a bit but their actions speak a different tale. That would explain why Merri insists on a house the same size as the other two who have much larger families and thus greater needs. If the family was the main concern they'd save money and she'd either live with one of the others or get a condo or something smaller. Very contradictory, in fact they are making the case for why polygamy is a sham. So different from the National Geographic series about the Polygamists in Arizona, they seemed more adjusted and committed to their families and their lifestyle.

  12. I do not care if they want to live plural marriage. I believe they should have built a single larger home to accommodate the family. Plural marriage to me is the wives shares in all duties of a house. Not their own house. The way it is now is not right. Kody jumping from house to house being part-time father to all the children. Wives having to do everything in their house just like me a single parent.

  13. My thoughts: Christine once again showed she's an idiot by not "knowing" that Real Estate agents work nights and weekends. Any why can't she count on any of the other Sisterwives to watch her kids. I thought that was the whole point.

Krody is an idiot. He can't be counted on to look after his own kids. And why did Janelle have to call him when the boys were fighting? He should have gotten off his @$$ and helped when he heard there was a fight. And I KNEW he'd insert the "I have 4 wives" crap when he went on his date with Sobbin.

Meri is something else. This whole "privacy" thing is suspect. I think Krody is spending all his time over at her house, away from all of the kids and chaos and once they're living next to each other, everyone will see it.

    2. Every time I think of Christine preparing a home to show, I get a mental flash back to Annette Benning's character in American Beauty. Repressed rage and control issues as evidenced by the wicked hard cleaning of the glass doors, staging the home to appear homey so people will see it through RoseColoredGlasses, and then crying like a baby because she's so unhappy with her real life. Then she'll change into her fanciest 3/4 length t-shirt to layer with another shirt, slap on some lipstick, and sell that bitch.

    3. I thought the real estate thing with Christine was odd...since they are taking on so much debt, and already have a huge amount of responsibility why not coordinate with each other and make some sort of employment plan? I watched the first season and I was surprised that they didn't consider this when they brought Robyn into their family. Make like a year long plan, figure out who will work a regular job that has a guarenteed income like a salary. Then someone else can do a commission based job like real estate. Someone else manages the children, daycare for the little ones and manages all of the others activities, pick up drop off from school, etc. I mean there are five adults, they all are supposedly in this together so why aren't they doing something like this? They all should be working, real jobs not just internet jewelry. In fact the internet jewelry is fine too, just also have a job. How did they allow their husband to marry Robyn without making sure that she had a job or that there was extra income to support her and her brood? It seems like they were living pay check to pay check in Utah, probably getting some sort of assistance as well wether from their church or the state. Now that they have reality show money they are still living this irresponsible chaotic lifestyle. What kind of example are they showing their kids? The one, Mariah, she seems detached from reality. Like she is accustomed to getting whatever she wants. She talks about how happy her parents are in polygamy, does she not see the obvious? These people seem so epicly irresponsible!

  14. What grinds my gears is get the paperwork done. Do you want the loans? Do they expect the builder to toss them the keys and say we will settle up later? Maybe if Robyn got off Pintrest, and made a a few calls, but we know that did not work well. She has liens already! It looks like the Kodster is enjoying Vegas buffets. Perhaps he should sell tires, since he has a to spare.

    1. Meri had no reason to not get her paperwork done. She has nothing but time on her hands. I suspect this is part of the plot line and possibly not even real. Not that I don't believe that Robyn couldn't pull it all together, it just seemed contrived that it was those two and those were the houses that would be ready first. We ALL know they are in the houses and were by Christmas so the 'drama' on that gets an Uncle Arthur Raspie from me.

I wouldn't even want to deal with custom building a home for Meri, that woman seems impossible to please. Don't you dare get in the way of her scrapbook making! Why would they start with Robyn's house being the first one completed when she's going to take the longest to settle her debts and actually get APPROVED for the house?!?! What kind of people go into something like this with no feasible guarantee that every adult will qualify? Either this show is heavily staged at this point, or these people are really that dumb.

  15. I think we should all send Robin a box of tissues. She should carry a box of them with her wherever she goes.

Meri wants nothing at all do to with the other wives! I think she's over Robin as well! She just wants to hole up in her brand new house and be alone with Kody and her wet bar. If she's expressing concern now over her privacy, then it's evident to me that she has little desire to be a family unit again. She does not want the life she had in the Lehi house with the other sister wives.

Kody, you should put your children first and be available to them every day of the week, 24/7, regardless of which wife you are scheduled to be with.

  16. They like to talk about polygamy being a lifestyle that is spiritual, making them better people. But, they want the best of both worlds. Four households? That doesn't sound like a commitment to the lifestyle at all. They could have purchased one enormous home. Dad (if we can really call him that) would be home with his children every night. Responsibilities would be shared. Who are they fooling? One home, one house, one family is a commitment to the lifestyle. This chaos of supporting four houses shows the influence of modern greed and materialism over this so-called "spiritual calling." It's hypocritical and leaves the kids AND wives with a part-time husband and father. Families LIVE together.

  17. my thoughts: Robyn is " trying" to work with jewelry despite having multiple kids. Janelle is " trying" to work despite having multiple kids. Christine is " trying" to work despite having multiple kids. (I use the word trying very loosely- more like trying to convince others that they're actually trying" but WHAT IS MERI " TRYING" to work doing? look, I have ONE child and admit that I have more time on my hands than friends with 5 kids. I can take longer showers, I can cook smaller meals. I can spend more qt with my husband... HOWEVER I'm his only wife and we're not trying to convince the world that we're a married couple who happily and lovingly and willingly accepts his mistresses and baby mommas and that I sacrafice to support his harem (note; my husband doesnt have mistresses or other kids, u get the point:. What does Meri DO? I never see her "working" or baby sitting, or helping in any way. yet she gets the same financial stipen as janelle, a (once) working mother of 6 with lesa free time, energy, resources, and help? come one people - stop drinking the koolaid.

and did any one else catch the preview when kody told Robyn something to the effect that looking as pretty as she did she wouldn't have to worry about cooking. looks like Christine needs to make a double batch of mock tapioca to cover her house amlnd robyns. lol

  18. I'm re watching the ep. Damn look at Kody in the recliner with the remote sitting on his ass with his gut hanging out and all he has to say is "oops". The house is a fucking mess - Janelle puts too much blame on hormones IMO when she talks about parenting these boys. Several of the boys shown are significantly overweight IMO. They're acting out because 1) they're bored and 2) their parents are ineffectual. Kody pontificating that "your actions have consequences" and the boys having not one iota of respect for him. He brought that on himself.

What would my parents have done - for one thing the house wouldn't be a mess because mom would have had us cleaning and folding the laundry. The boys have way too much time on their hands and just like their dad, they spend too much time sitting on their collective asses. They need CHORES.

I only had sisters, but you can't make me believe that all that anger and physical violent actions is normal in boys...

    1. Well said Dakota! And if that's the best Kody can do on camera, what kind of parenting DON'T we see?

That house is a mess. My husband helps me keep the house neat, but not Kody -- he just sits and acts like a guest. Let's see, he doesn't work, doesn't cook or clean up the house, doesn't parent ... just what does he do??

Maybe the boys are acting out because they hate the cameras!

    6. Kody is their ticket into heaven, doesn't that mean he does enough? Riiight, I would rather not have my own planet if it meant sharing it with that worthless piece.

Darn right those boys are mad. They used to have a big house with their dad in it daily along with all their siblings, bonus moms, and a supportive community they fit into. Now they live in hotter than hell Vegas, their mom is a single mom, dad pops in every fourth day to make an appearance, and everyone at school knows about their unusual lifestyle. Boys wrestle and fight, but this is beyond that. These kids have every right to be mad, in fact all the kids do. Their parents are morons and they get the shaft.

Kody needs to spend time at the houses based off how many of his kids are in each house. It isn't fair that Mariah and Sol get 1/4 of Kody's undivided attention while Janelle and Christine's kids get 1/4 of his time divided by 6. Too bad for the wives, the kids deserve more. Cry me a river Meri should know that this religion favors women with more kids and she still chose this lifestyle.

  21. I was DISGUSTED with Kody's "parenting" and his explanation of what a crappy dad he is. He doesn't want to be the bad guy because he's only there 1 out of 4 nights so to him it "makes sense" to not get involved when there are issues to be solved between the kids. GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK! No parent ever wants to be the bad guy, but guess what? We HAVE to because that's what parenting is!! The very fact that Kody called himself a visitor is exactly what is wrong with this lifestyle. Does he think his parental responsibilities just don't exist because he isn't at the same house every night?? "Oh, this wife will take care of it because she's with the kids more than I am. All I have to do is help to create the kid and then I get to move on to the next wife." It's like he gets all the "fun" with no responsibility and that really pisses me off. There is a lot about this family that annoys me, especially their financial irresponsibility, but Kody's excuse for why he's a crappy dad just really, really pissed me off.

These girls need to vacate when Kody comes visiting. He really needs a few hours each visit being a single father.

  22. Christine is a stay at home (3rd) wife and mother. She said this was always her plan, her dream. So she is following it, and in this episode, made certain Kody agrees to her expectations.

Kody agreed to the no-work-outside the home Christine, but refuses to recognize his current job will not support her. But ... you say? .. Kody has no current job. Listen carefully next time he speaks: Kody runs from home to home, to ... . For Eternity. Making babies here and spirit babies here-after.

It tires him out. Big job. Where's the wallets?

Janelle is a good manager. First she managed her own problem with Robyn's closet (Robyn's dream though named MSWC). Notice the smooth way Janelle defined this problem, though she rolled it into an apology ... followed with her intent to henceforth function as Director of Marketing. Good going Janelle. In one conversational gambit you erased the circle Robyn drew around you, drawing your own parameters.

Thinking of plus size work-out gear-- wondering if the problem is finding a nice fit over the required under-garment. A loose fit non-revealing style might appeal to a large demographic (no pun intended :0).

They need to look at Kardashian Kaos at the Mirage for ideas although those reality tv women have built a huge fan base with help of marketing representatives, stylist and other things that money affords them. An above poster put simple words like, Team Janelle, Team Christine would work and they would see sales. We could wear our Iconic tshirts when the show is on every Sunday. But, atlas, they still are focusing on shite that means something to them that no one else relates to. Wow. Just wow.

I believe these houses are not really their own. I believe it is all a plot and when the show is over they all pack up and go back to the way the lived before. Robyn and Meri did not even appear worried when the realtor said you gotta finish with your lender. Childish blank looks on their face. Either it is a line for the viewers or they are not really invested in these homes at all. I suspect both. They are the ugliest things I have ever seen. Used to love Christine but when she basically said she could not work I about swallowed my own tongue. She has a couple nearly grown teen age daughters who could watch the younger ones like every other single mom family has to do. They so not seem to take making money seriously at all. Except Janelle is finally saying ok, I am gonna help you all fix this because we got to take this seriously at some point. She is not a marketing pro either and should know to invest in someone fixing their current business. The lay out of the necklaces they want to sale is so childish. Do they listen to anyone? A BE necklace is far from budget 16.99 for the BE and 12.99 for each charm. That is 55.96 for 3 charms and necklace plus 23.99 for the earrings. So for a few pennies shy of 80.00 you can have a costume earring and necklace ensemble ... what a budget! I think costume necklace for more then $10 is crazy. It has something to do with, oh wait, they are idiots. None of those women have ever had the dispensable income to go buy a 80.00 costume necklace and earrings. Who are they marketing too?
Meri and Mariah (twins) were on some sort of hog wild Christmas shopping spree. Why? Why were they setting up in their old house? Makes no sense. Oh all the money these people waste when they could have built a great 4 plex for about 300,000 for all of them.
Christine has to have a boyfriend. She already has 7 kids counting Kody. She is done with the family because it means nothing that they could spend Christmas in one of the families houses. Kody made sure Robyn and Meri, who have never really worked much, have their houses first? He is making it pretty clear he loves him some Robyn, oh yeah and his old flame Meri who keeps her frenemies close. Obvious Meri saw Kody jumped ship when he met Robyn and she figured out if she was team Robyn it would keep her in the loop with Kody. I think Kody and Robyn would happily run away and live in a cheap apartment in section 8 housing on foodstamps and welfare together and be fine never hearing from the others again. Well, unless they need a loan. Then they would call up Janelle with their sob story. And she would give them enough for their smokes or whatever self centered habit they are into at that time. Now I do not like any of them!

  24. I understand that TLC edits all of the footage for best dramatic effect. That said, the Browns are not doing anything at all to help themselves look better than they do. This train wreck while entertaining to us and our orderly lives is a chaos that too many kids with no control are forced to live in.

It was pathetic to hear and see Kody and his interractions with all 4 women. Kody doesn't seem able to contain his utter disgust when dealing with Christine. He just seems to want to bolt every time he's close to her or she opens her mouth. It's normal to discuss things, all things no matter how serious or small and seemingly annoying, but you have to talk things out in order to resolve them. Hearing Christines frustration when telling him she wanted a conversation and Kody trying to blow her off was horrible. BUT she really did nothing to make herself look good with the whole I can't work weekends, I can't read boring material, I can't make that much effort waaaahhhhhhhh OMG normal people work 7 days a week. My hubby & I work full time jobs and we have a business we're working and growing on the side. We have had maybe 4 days off in the last 2 years!! Grow up already.

Meri and her comments, well let's just say I don't think she was referring to herself. I have a feeling she was passive agressively casting aspertions on how much time Kody's at Robins but I could be wrong. Maybe Meri has a storage shed for unused yard equipment out back and Kody spends all of his time in there hiding from his responsibilites.

Janelle may be the most educated of the bunch but she's not the smartest. If she was truly smart she wouldn't be in the middle of this chaos, she would have stayed gone when she left before and she would have said to hell with you lot I'm focusing on my goals and you're not dragging me down with you. BUT she doesn't appear to have done that and appears to be willing to go at a super slow pace in chasing her goals of real estate mogul.

Robin, well she just needs a lifetime supply of crayons, paper and tissues.

As for the houses, they're all as dumb as dirt. Once we were pre-approved for our mortgage we had to tighten our belts, live completely within our means, NO CREDIT CARD PURCHASES or credit purchases of any kid until we closed on our mortgage. ALL credit issues had to be resolved before we even tried to get pre-approved. This whole Robin and her credit issues is utter garbage! They already qualified for the loans. Last season they showed her having dealt with the creditors. How she got into the family without anyone else knowing of her credit issues is nonsense. Who really believes she was permitted to "marry" Kody without full financial disclosure? Yeah me either!!

I just searched available real estate in / near Las Vegas. There are lots of large properties listed with loads of bedrooms, bathrooms and space for LESS, waaaayyyy less than $2 million. If they really wanted to all be under the same roof they could have done that with existing properties.

    1. The reason they got into these houses is because the builder privately financed the first 3 years of the loans. They didnt look at resales because they could not get financing for them. When robyn let slip they were "gambling" on these houses that is what she was referring too. They are gambling they can establish income streams for 3 years so they can be refinanced into conventional financing and values will increase to meet the requirement to do so. So robyns lien is a big issue. These houses were their only option to buy..so they got into overpriced and to large a home just so they could buy 4 homes next to each other.

    2. Wow. That's the first I've heard of the Brown's homes being financed privately by the builder....makes total sense now. Bet the builder is counting on them failing to make all the mortgages, so he can take back possession and sell them again in a couple years when the market improves. In the meantime, he gets these vacant lots off his back and his workers stay employed.Oh yeah...and his business gets to be on TV. Expensive advertising.

    3. No wonder! I wondered how Christine was qualifying for the loan with no job, no job history...None of them seem to be employed actually. Robyn's bad credit and Kody's multiple bankruptcies...makes more sense now. The builder will just take the whole cul de sac back in three years. How do they afford all of their other expenses? 4. Yes, the financing is sketchy. When you build a house, is the realtor usually this involved with the financing? She was like a scolding mother and I would have fired her, but my experiences with buying and selling our homes has never been like this...we've never built though.

    5. when the brown's got "approved" for these homes in the beginning of this process, they were conditional approvals. Each home is titled in each wife's name individually and in the case of Kody and Meri, as husband and wife. They are hard money loans with with note due in full if not refinaced to conventional loan in 3 years. Each wife has to establish an income stream on their own and kody and meri will qualify as husband and wife with joint income. Kody cannot help christine or janelle or robyn income qualify in 3 years as he has to qualify with meri. Thats why each wife is voicing concern about streams of income and "Losing Sleep"..Meri will have an advantage as she will have Kodys income from their multi marketing venture..unless the green goo and MSWC are set up to pay christine a salary..she will be the one most hurt by their current business structures in the near future. Janelle will work.Robyn wont and Meri has kody as a fall back for the purpose of looking lendable.

    6. Anon 1:17 pm, do you know this about the private financing by the builder, or is it speculation? If you know it for a fact, how do you know it?

I think it's a pretty good theory, but do you have evidence to back it up?

    7. Thanks Anon @ 1:17pm This is the first time I am hearing "builder privately financed the first 3 years of the loans" too! I now understand a little better how they got into these homes.

  25. Robyn doesn't deserve a new home. Not with her many names and credit history. It's not the creditors fault you got a divorce. It's not the creditors fault you want a ridiculously sized home. It's not that she didn't do the paperwork it's that she was still haggling over the amount she owed hoping to bring it down. And she isn't working a traditional job. She is deciding when and how to work and she has no background or education to do what she is doing.

I can't get over Kody parenting Robyn's kids at Janelle's house. What the heck is doing on the laptop? Of course you had no credibility.

Janelle was marketing the family well this episode. I dont believe her though.

I could understand their not getting a real job if only they didn't have mortgage on the homes. The money from the show should be going to being rent and mortgage free.

I think they are banking on winning their court case and getting some money from that. Why has their been no word on that?

Christine can't work 24/7 for 42 without a day off. It's not she can't work weekend. What kody should have said was Meri can watch the kid's. You passed your test. You should give the job a try. See how the kids adjust. See how you like it. Also how in heck would Vegas market be jumping so much that she would be working that much? Wouldn't her hiring them make her work hours less? Christine watched Mariah why can't Meri stop interupting the workers to scrap book and watch truly and the kids in school and make dinner? She can drive to christines or walk. It's only a mile.

    1. That court case isn't a civil case, I don't think. They haven't asked for monetary damages. And that could take years, with the attorneys getting the lions share of whatever is paid IF any is paid. And why would they be owed damages? They chose to break the law and they chose to leave Utah.

    2. Christine doesn't want Meri to watch her kids. She just doesn't want to work. Period. She is just plain lazy.

    3. As a stay-at-home mom, I really hope people don't think that because I choose not to work outside the home that I am lazy. I understand Christine's wanting to be a stay-at-home mom. Some women just do not have that desire to work. That being said, with the financial situation they've put themselves in, it has become a necessity for them to have as many working adults as possible and Christine should have just been honest and forthcoming at the very beginning and said, you know what? I'll be the mom that stays home with the kids so the rest of you can have jobs.

    5. Chistine is lazy. I don't think she needs to work because she doesn't see what Robyn does as work.

Anyone who knows anything about realty knows that they work hard. However, I don't think that the market in Vegas has picked up that mush that Mona was working 42 full days straight. I think she puts in work everyday, an hour here, a couple hours there, a full day here, etc. It is one of those jobs where you are constantly hussling to keep on top of things. If a client calls you and wants to see a house, you show them. Somehow I don't ever see Christine putting in enough effort to a job like this. Janelle on the other hand will do fine, but will she be sharing her money any longer? There is no reason on God's green Earth that the other wives and Kody cannot be working this job either with most of the kids out of diapers.

    6. I think its possible Christine battles depression. She seems overwhelmed with anything outside of her sphere of her kids. She was thrust into single motherhood with the move and she was still reeling from the robyn thing while she was pregnant with truely. She shows signs ofcapability..just overwhelmed when things sink in. I think janelles talk with robyn about inviting christine to the fun things was janelle having christine back..like back off robyn, christine needs to move at her own pace.I think she will find her footing..with no help from kody..but i hope janelle is at least there to be christine sounding board..they have more in common

    7. kms wrote: "I can't get over Kody parenting Robyn's kids at Janelle's house." I didn't see any of Robyn's kids in that scene; I think they were all Janelle's and Christine's kids. (And for what it's worth, I thought he was way too laid back and uninvolved in that scene.)

I don't think Christine is lazy; I think she wants to be a mom instead of working outside the home (or instead of at an at-home business). And ideally I believe it should be her right to choose - as long as there is some way for her kids to be provided for. *Someone* has to earn a living to put food on the table and keep everyone housed and clothed, etc. If she and Kody and the other wives agree that Christine will be the main parental support for the kids in the Brown family while the rest of the adults earn a living doing jobs that pay money, great - I hope it works out for them all.

Honestly, I want this family to succeed. I want every kid to be well-taken care of and to become contributing members or society, and for everyone to be happy. I hope the wives are friends, or can become friends; and feel valued in their relationships; and I hope that Kody is a good husband and father to all of them. It's a very different life than I want or have, but if it works for them, great.

I just don't see how the adults are going to be able to afford these houses over the long run. I hope they can figure something out.

Just hope that his reasons for jumping back into the frying pan of lunatics is not about "saving money" as much as "getting money" for appearing on the show now that he is non-minor child.
I could see Kody using that sales pitch on Logan. Plus, he would be an yet another parent figure to pick up Kody's slack of non-parenting.

Or maybe Logan just want to live in a McMansion like everyone else is now ??

    4. I hope that doesn't mean he is paying for college himself...I hope he isn't taking out student loans...What are they trying to show us on this show? How bad of a Father a Polygamist is? How living this lifestyle really means you are going to be a single Mother, but unlike a typical single Mom you will have to share resources with other women and have meetings about every decision? This family keeps getting worse, they lay it on really thick how much Kody is into Robyn. They show Kody going out with Robyn more than any of the others. So a Polygamist is just a philanderer...they use religion as a cover. The women are manipulative, passive aggressive, delusional...If TLC wanted to show a real working Polygamist family then they probably should have gone with the Dargers not the Brown's. Even the Cawley's on Polygamy USA seem to have a healthier family and life than the Brown's...

    5. I'm guessing Logan is already saddled with student loans, as the rest of the college-going Brown kids will be soon.

Amused - I still believe that either TLC or F8F pays the Browns in a lump sum for the entire family, so Logan being there or not isn't going to mean he gets a check of his own. but who knows.

    6. Given that we have not heard Janelle say ' I have to earn money to pay for the kids' college', as we have heard her mention MORTGAGE over and over.... my guess is that Logan is paying his own way. Add to that, Janelle's comment about Logan living at home to save money, that seals it.... Logan is paying his own way.

Can't wait to see how Aspen and Mariah are going to pay for their private (pretty sure Westminister? would be private), and out of state to boot. Meri will somehow require more money from the group so that she can pay for Mariah even though Aspen and Logan are on their own.

Robin: what is it that you expect the other wives to help you with? You never once stated, do you want designers? Package and shipping help? What? must not be much since you told Kody all you wanted was his 'support of the situation'. You already had their help at the expo type stuff.

Meri: You are obviously looking forward to the wives seeing what the other wives are doing, in order to cause trouble. Obviously, you think they will be jealous of you. Which means, you are not contributing your fair share of time and effort towards all your bonus children. 'Sol' is how you are going to get your boy? What are Logan, Hunter, Peyton, Garrison, etc, etc? Chopped liver?

  29. I really don't understand how they are living now. The houses that they are renting can not be that cheap. I really like that Janelle seems to keep her mouth shut unless she has something important to say (well at least most of the time). I do feel a bit sorry for Christine as I believe that she signed on to be the stay at home mom for the group.

As far as their trips to expo centers ect., they would do better if they just smiled and said hi or good morning ect. The stories are what put the people off more than anything else when they are looking. Not saying that I think the merchandise is worth what they are charging, but I do believe that more people would purchase it just because of where it came from. I myself have a piece that is almost the same as the claddauh set which is sterling silver and was purchased at Kmart during 70% off time, the entire set cost me around 30 dollars.

  33. Question: Towards the beginning of this episode all of the adults are having a meeting at Janelle's house. Robyn states that Janelle wanted all of the numbers from the Expo to crunch. Janelle then said that the profits were only $500 and they can't pay mortgages with that. Were they referring to the St. George expo from last week? If so, how do they end up with $500 in profit after selling only 20 pieces? They had the booth expense, hotel, gas to drive multiple vehicles up there, per diem. Those would have to be 20 VERY expensive pieces!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I had the same thought. Could be that they sold books too, but even if they sold all the books they had (doubtful), I doubt they profited $500.
It appears that either Janelle is fudging the truth, or truly doesn't understand that profit is what one is left with after expenses and costs are deducted. If that's true then she really IS dim -I understood what profit meant by the time I was 7 years old, thanks to an old classic Looney Tunes starring Elmer Fudd about the Shoemaker and the Elves. Lol

      Delete
    2. There is a strong possibility that no one in that bunch understands that "profit" is what's left after ALL expenses are paid. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're ONLY counting the booth expense.

      Delete
    5. If the $500 "profit" that Janelle was referring to, was from sales at the Expo, then Janelle lied. After expenses, and selling only 20 pieces (if they are even telling the truth about selling that much), they would have lost money. Their own cost for the jewelry, the booth rental, the gas for all of their cars (did you notice they all drove seperately?), hotel, if they had that expense. We'll say their time was donated, since they don't do anything else anyway. And lets say TLC footed the bill for hotel rooms. Janelle was a bookkeeper, she understands gross vs net. There is NO WAY, they didn't lose money at that event.

      Delete
    6. I wonder if they had a profit because TLC paid for the entire set up because it was being televised? If they sold some of the jewelry items and then some books and ornaments I could see that they would have made $500. I don't think Janelle is that dumb.

However, I don't see how anyone with a brain could think that this business is going to pay even a tenth of one of their house payments, nonetheless support a family of 22.

    7. Freya - that is my thought too, that TLC must pay for some expenses while filming. They must mark some days for 'away days' and they were able to include this weekend.

  34. The reason I keep watching this show, is because I am waiting to hear, how on earth 5 adults support themselves and 17+ children, in the manner that they do, while not one of them holds down a LEGIT full time job. Lets assume that they have been able to support themselves these past few years with the TLC money alone. (Because the closet and that green juice, and Janelle and Christine's pretend income from real estate absolutely could not suppprt them all, and the lifestyles they lead with cars, manicures, trips, etc., let alone basic shelter, food, utilities, etc. Not possible.) But they know the TLC $ is finite. WHY WHY WHY does not one of the adults, work at least a 5-day, full-time work schedule somewhere?

I support Christine coming to the realization that she wants to be the stay-at-home mom. That has been her role in the family in the past, so that Meri and Janelle could work outside the home. If she did want to work even part time, tho, why is it that there is no one to help with her younger children? Meri owes her that support. I think both Meri and Robyn, are using the closet biz as an excuse to not work a legit job.

I'm curious to hear who Meri was referring to regarding getting to see how the other wives spend their time, once they are living closer together. We may never get to see that answer, tho. TLC probably loved getting a little juicy tidbit out of Meri, and used it, even if we never see what she was talking about. My guess is she's referring to Christine, or maybe even Janelle. She is TOO into her bff Robyn right now. I think that's where she's going to really get her eyes opened, tho. When she has to live closer to Robyn.

I can't imagine how Meri, Janelle and Christine can stomach watching the rock climbing date between Kody and Robyn. It was clear that Robyn was flirty and really amping up her "bedroom wife" role for Kody, and he was all over it. I especially have to wonder how Christine must feel, watching that. Kody treats her the worst. It has to be tough for Janelle, too, cuz she obviously is in love with Kody, and I doubt he is physically attracted to her. Meri is asexual, but she loves Kody, too. So can't be easy for her to see, either.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Kody has said on the show that he was very attracted to Janelle when they first met and that he thinks she is beautiful. He used to try and get affectionate with her in the earlier seasons and she would throw his arm off of her. It was actually kind of funny because Kody would look so hurt. I think he likes that Janelle is much shorter than him and he is attracted to the fact that she actually works. Anyway, my point is that Kody does appear to be attracted to Janelle, Meri, and obviously Robyn.

Christine is the only wife he has admitted not being attracted to (for being a fat girl strangely enough and eating nachos). Their attraction seems to be mostly one sided on her part. Don't know what she or any of the other wives see in him. When he was on the bed wearing those fugly glasses with his long hair, I shuddered.

    2. To me, Kody seems to enjoy Janelle for the calm, quiet wisdom she attempts to project, and for being the only one who at least for a time, was capable of bringing in a decent paycheck. She also has a very pretty smile. But I don't believe he is attracted to her sexually. Just my opinion, based on watching his interactions with her, with Robyn and even Meri. He might enjoy (or say he enjoys) curves on a woman, but when he married Meri, she was slim. And Robyn is slim. The first wife and the last wife added. Janelle is doing amazing things for her health with her weight loss, but her body is shot. She's been obese her entire life and she will always have major loose folds of skin, unless she has surgery to remove the excess skin. And then she will be left with major scars. I know Kody and Janelle are working on their emotional and physical intimacy, having been more like brother and sister most of their marriage. But she's also up against that he's regularly banging at least one other woman. Robyn. Not sure that Meri wants any, and Christine probably isn't getting any.

      Delete
    3. Anonymous 4:37, my opinion is Kody agreed to marry Janelle and a short while later Christine so they could give birth to his babies. Kody and Meri had been married long enough for her to get pregnant but she hadn't. When Janelle let Kody know she was interested in joining the family, problem was solved. While Janelle was pregnant with her first, Kody then married Christine. Janelle and Christine may not have been skinny women but they both pumped out 6 babies each to Meri's one so who's body was shot as you say. Janelle didn't get large in a day, yet Kody was still impregnating her, so obviously he wasn't concerned with the fat rolls. Same with Christine. But Janelle does love Kody and definitely not in a brother/sister way. The same with Kody. And I don't think Janelle would feel she needs to scar her body having excess skin removed. All she needs is a spanx and she's set to go.

    4. I thought one of the draws to this life style was not having to worry about daycare. It seems like Christine is the only one willing to take all the kids. Also Christine feels Meri is too harsh with the kids so she couldn't leave her kids with her in all good conscience.

      Delete
  35. All Christine ever wanted was to be a stay-at-home mother. And she's GOOD at it, given the kids seem to miss being with her the most. I think that Christine and Janelle had a good thing going back in Utah, Janelle worked full time (which is what she enjoys) and Christine took care of her children and cooked meals for them (which is what she enjoys). Where Meri fit into that equation, who knows.

I was disgusted when Kody acknowledged to Christine that none of the other wives would help her take care of her children while Christine worked. Disgusted. Isn't Meri always harping on that they're "all our kids", and about how that's one of the benefits of this lifestyle? What the heck is she doing all day that she can't contribute to the family by helping to care for the children, or - bold, I know - get a JOB? She is honestly in the best position to go out and get a real, honest full-time job. Mariah is grown now, and could even go over to one of the other wives homes for dinner and help with childcare as well. I just don't get it. It seems like they're all on their own now, 4 seperate single-mother families. Meri LIKES it that way. But I don't think that's what the others, particularly Christine, signed up for. I could bitch about Meri and that ridiculous mansion of hers all day.

Another thing, they all seem so disconnected from each other. I don't think that has as much to do with their living situation as they'd like you to believe. That is from a lack of communication. I bet the wives go days, possibly weeks, without talking to one another. They need to have regular "family household" meetings, like on Big Love. I really noticed that when there was so much confusion over the plans for Logan's graduation.

    1. Kody really needs to step up his role as the leader of his family and future God. He needs to pull a Papa Darger or Uncle Arthur and dictate to his wives to watch their sister wive's kids while they work or need to get things done. The Browns desperately need a schedule to work together on and shared common goals if they plan on keeping their homes and paying for things.

Instead of taking charge, Kody has let Meri dictate and run this family for far too long and they won't be able to make it if they keep on going the same way.

Christine and Robyn only have 1 child a piece that is not of school age, so that means that 15 out of their 17 kids don't need watching during the school year. Not too hard to figure out a plan for childcare with 5 adults in the family and many older siblings who could be paid baby sitters.

If my spouse had a chance at making some pretty decent money, I would jump all over it to help them achieve what needs to be done.

But, this is Kody and company that we are talking about, none of them are all too bright. Besides, Christine doesn't really seem to want to work.

I've enjoyed this blog for quite a while but haven't posted until now. The sense of entitlement throughout the members of this family drives me nuts. The teenagers think they are entitled to live in houses that aren't rentals. What?? Meri thinks she is entitled to obtain a huge home which she clearly can't afford or order to house only herself and Kreepy Kody every fourth night. No matter how hard she tries to justify it, she shouldn't be thinking about living in anything larger than a townhouse or condo. Her mansion is a waste of family resources. Robyn thinks she is entitled to have a fantasy "business" that everybody else must participate in whether they want to or not. And it's pretty clear that Janelle, Christine and Kreepy Kody don't want to be involved in it. Somebody, send Robyn the memo. Actually, if Meri and Robyn took the time and effort they claim to be putting into their "business" and were instead working at real jobs, getting real paychecks and a reliable income stream, they wouldn't need the whine-fests -- I mean, family meetings -- like were televised last night. What is their problem with real jobs? And Kreepy Kody reminds me of Maynard G. Krebs, whose voice cracked two octaves higher than normal whenever he had to say "Work" (does anyone else remember Dobie Gillis???). Why isn't he working constantly in order to provide for his family. (He should take a seriously look at Mona's work ethic. I don't know how she can keep a straight face around them). I can't stand his whining about the inconvenience of having to bed-hop each night. I guess he feels he is entitled to a better arrangement than that. And Queen Meri -- why does she feel that she was entitled to more than one child? Why is she constantly whining about it??? Is it so hard to be grateful for the one child she has, a child who appears to be bright, healthy and ambitious? Most of the people I know would consider having a child like that, even if she were their only child, to be a cherished gift. And why in the world does this family feel they are entitled to live in four brand new, enormous homes that they have no clue how to pay for?

From my point of view, the only entitlement not taken seriously by this family is the entitlement of their children to have a father who puts them at the forefront of his life. Kreepy Kody should be wearing himself ragged just trying to keep up with participating with his children's sports, music lessons, homework, and any other activity in which the kids are engaged. His world revolves around himself, and his children seem like just an inconvenience in KodyWorld.

Thank you for the opportunity to vent.

  40. Just curious...has anyone else noticed (and perhaps this had been discussed previously and I missed it) that since Robyn married (and I use that term loosely) Kody, she now dresses like the other women? When they were "dating" she wore a lot of short sleeved polos and now she is covered to her wrists.

  41. Did anyone happen to catch Kody's statement when they were showing Meri's Day about Meri's home being a "haven he wants to go to!"?
I thought this was very interesting to say the least. This fact alone is why Meri has teeter-tottered on her decision of to have a baby or not have a baby for what is it like 5 years now?!?! She knows darn well by having that baby it will no longer be a place where Kody looks to be!

Unfortunately most of the children are suffering as a result of the immaturity of the parents. It seems Moms and Dad are a little too preoccupied with "things" rather than their kids. I believe it is becoming increasingly apparent as time moves on. I make no claims to be a perfect parent but if all I'm worried about is "getting this house and making all these sacrifices for my kids". If I were to ask my kids their response would be something like, "We don't care about that stuff we just want to be a happy family which loves and cares about each other and we don't have to see our parents always fighting and stressed." Judging from what Aspen mentioned in an episode from last season, "I don't want anything else for Christmas other than getting in to these homes" you can tell the kids aren't concerned about the "things" the parents are. They just want to see less stress, arguing and the element of harmony which was captured when they lived back in Utah...

    Oh the good ole days!

    1. My kids have often said "NO!" if we even mention the idea of a bigger house. Kids love stability and a sense of belonging. IMO any suggestion from the kids that they want to be in big ole houses is something their parents have trained them to say, that TLC has paid them to say, or as you say, a sign that they are under waaay too much stress for kids and they hope and dream this house situation will calm all the adults down.

  42. While its true that Christine has always been the stay at home mom ( and been a very good one) it is also true that the whole dynamic has changed because the family's children are growing up. Only Truely and Sol are small enough to need constant care, and unless Christine wants to raise Robyn's children (which might be interesting to watch....) her pleas to be a stay at home mother at this place and time in the family dynamic just come across as someone who doesn't want a "real" job but can't admit it.

Of course, no one seems to be able to admit they don't want a real job (including Janelle - I'm sorry, but I'm skeptical of the whole real estate thing. She just doesn't strike me as the type who can do that.). So this isn't just a Christine problem, but her particular whininess was on display last night.

    1. I agree re Janelle and real estate. I think some people are under the misconception that it's easy money. It's hardly that, especially in Vegas. Janelle also presents herself as low engergy. Not an attribute found with most of agents I've ever worked with.

Re Christine, if she couldn't even read the info Mona asked her to read before their meeting, she is NOT cut out for real estate. There are reams and reams of paper involved in every transaction. And if Mona wasn't getting the tv exposure, that probably would have been the last meeting Christine could ever expect with her.

  43. I did like this episode, BUT we have seen this before...the four lives. I did like seeing an update and see what they do in their daily lives. The situation at Janelle house was very real looking. Laundry piled up, kids fighting. I did feel bad for Janelle because Kody just sat there on his lap top that he didn't even want in the first place lol. I am proud of Janelle saying that she didn't want to sell joolery. Good for her! Christine was so funny how she was talking about the situation at Janelle's the night before. She thought it was rather comical lol. I am happy for Christine wanting to work outside of the home, but I think she panicked when she heard how much work it actually is. I don't want her to give up. I want her to try it out. If it's not for her maybe she can be the stay at home mom for the family. Christine is still lost, she is still finding her place since the 4th wife came...Then we get to Robyn...DO NOT WAKE KING SOL! lol Please. Then her kids were playing the piano and being loud haha. Of course Robyn gets to be the one who gets a date night. When Janelle told Robyn that she didn't want Kody involved in the closet Robyn almost became Sobbin for sure!!! Then we get to Meri. Boo hoo she wakes Mariah and goes for a run and gets her hair done... She needs to stay away from her wet bar! She is holding everything up! I believe she did go see those houses at least 20 times. Mariah seemed very ungrateful about having to drive Robyns van. Well at least she has a car to drive! The other thing I didn't like was how the kids acted like they were homeless or something. If they don't get into these homes by Christmas...oh no! Their rentals are very nice in my opinion. I think they should stay there a few more years and save more money...but that's just me. I saw on the previews for next week that Janelle wants to back off again from the SWC...I am confused about that since she just came to Robyn and said she was going to be dedicated.

    1. its always an emotional deadline..these kids have been emotionaly dragged around about these houses for 2 years,,they are hearing that these houses are going to solve all their problems ad nauseum...their problems are too deep to be relieved from a house. They need their father to be a part of their life. Just because the adults fantasize about privacy and big houses does not solve the fact the kids have been neglected emotionally. The Browns are using the kids saying they are doing it for them but we all know its their material greed driving their financial decisions.

    2. Yeah, good post. I agree with you. LOL@ "Sobbin"!! I keep up with the SW on Twitter and I get the feeling that they really do have a hard time holding down full time jobs. In my honest opinion, Kody needs to man up and get some sort of employment even if it is at the local Home Depot! Janelle seems like a really hard worker. It's nice that her and Christine are on the same page. They really seem to be struggling financially. I saw on an interview with Huffington Post that they are in their overpriced McMansions. I'm just not sure how on earth they afford all of that!

      Delete
    3. That is such a good point Anonymous, they have lead the kids to believe that the houses solve everything. The kids are all growing up, they've been displaced, probably feel a sense of betrayal over their Dad marrying Robyn. Remember how hostile Hunter was towards Robyn? Since Kody married the first three relatively close together, and most the kids were born into that they accepted their parents polygamy and had an idea about how it worked. Bringing Robyn in after all those years, with three kids in tow, and adding a reality show and a major move! Buying new houses is not going to fix this mess. Also buying new homes the wives and kids will want to fill them up with new things, can they afford all of that? Robyn bothers me the most, hearing her go on about how they are blessed with the homes and she will do anything to make sure they get to keep them. She seems like a home wrecker, like she messed with this families dynamic and happiness...If I were one of those kids I would despise her! Robyn GET A JOB! Kody GET A REAL JOB AND SUPPORT YOUR WIFE AND CONCUBINES, TREAT YOUR KIDS EQUALLY! Someone needs to inform that man that the concubines needs and wants are second to what is best for the children!

      Delete
    4. That is such a good observation. They are in fact Concubines, that might even be the legal term for them. This is a side note but interesting considering that they are "Mormon Fundamentalists". The Prophet of the LDS Church named Joseph Fielding Smith was the one that ended Polygamy. He himself was a Polygamist. He was called before the Senate in Washington and questioned about the practice and all of the abuses. His first wife, his legal wife actually divorced him. Her grounds for divorce were that he "had taken concubines". Their divorce was very public and a scandal for the time. It was also granted. Since the Brown's subscribe to Fundamental Mormonism they believe in that particular prophet, they believe in the first handful of Mormon Prophets and he is one of them. His plural wives were determined to be "Concubines". So Janelle, Christine, and Robyn are in fact concubines. Kody Brown and his harem of concubines is what they should call the show.

      Delete
    5. What do the kids get from Kody getting a new sex partner?

A thinner slice of attention from their sperm donor. Less assets for their families. Their own mom being more stressed out dealing with the new concubine. And a whiny new "mom" bossing them around.

Nope, there's nothing in it for the kids.

  45. I thought for sure that Robyn was pregnant. One scene her boobs looked huge, and her tummy is not small. But then she went rock climbing, or repelling whatever, and thought, naaa, if she was preggers, she wouldn't do that. or would she? Either way, she is getting bigger

    1. these were filmed in October or prior to the houses being ready, they moved in end of December, so no, she wasn't preggers. and if she had miscarried, I'm SURE they would've made the whole season around it. No way would the Browns keep a juicy plot line like that under wraps.

  48. I just have to say this, I do like Trainer Sean quite a bit, although I don't agree with a lot of his tweets. He's much more motivating than the other training dude, and seems to be more cutting-edge and proficient. of course he's working out of what appears to be a much more high-end facility than whatshisname was (that was Planet Fitness) and usually you get what you pay for. (if indeed Janelle is paying for this, I'm sure there's some sort of promo deal attached and she's only paying a portion).

Sean is "pushing" Janelle's limits way more than the last trainer, IMO.

  49. I've been reading threads on the TLC Sister Wives Facebook page today and am surprised that people over there are also fed up with the sense of entitlement. There are some good comments there that echo those on this blog. The total lack of the family's gratefulness has made me lose interest in this show. Most viewers would be very thrilled to live in the nice rentals they currently own. I guess the TLC money has corrupted them big time.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I really think they should be saving their money for either therapy or personal stylists (long sleeves under a tight tank top doesn't look good). It's amazing how much they could save from Starbucks and Disneyland trips.

  52. I was so mad at Robyn last night!! Her comment to Janelle about knowing that she (Janelle) wants to design plus-sized clothing? What kind of passive-aggressive bullshit is that?!

Hey Robyn, if Janelle is getting up at 4 in the morning to workout and lose weight, it means that she would probably like to not wear plus-sized clothing anymore. So why would she want to design it?!

But whatever Kody said to Janelle, it made her get right back in line, and Robyn wins again.

These people need to quit being family. It ain't workin'.

  53. These parents are instilling terrible values in their kids.

My mama would put things into the correct perspective - you don't want to drive the van? Fine, take the school bus.

You don't like the rental house? You're lucky to have a house. Not everyone does.

A home is what the parents make it. If the kids don't see it as a home it's only because the parents don't treat it as a home. They are really depriving the kids of the comfort and security due to their own selfish entitled attitude.

They could take lessons from the Honey BooBoo family. The BooBoos have a home!

  54. My guess on Robyn's weight gain is money. Before Kody and Krew, she was unable to afford take out all of the time. Now, I'm sure she eats it more often. It was a sudden change of lifestyle we all know can pack on the pounds fast.

I love the individual couch interviews now. You separate them, they cannot play what things to say based on the others gawking at them the whole time. Christine rolling her eyes, groaning and pretend smiling at meetings is support? I don't believe she would have said that while sitting across from Robyn and Kody in the adult sessions.

I am not surprised about Christine not wanting to pursue the realty now. If anyone has followed this family from day one, we know that Christine is about family. She may be part of the grifting lifestyle, but she's been a very hands-on parent to all of the children. Her wanting to be free on weekends for the kids was refreshing, IMO.

Kody's facial expressions while the fight was occurring really gave a better look at how he parents. He doesn't! He sat there and let it happen until Janelle had to say "Kody, dear sperm donor, I need help here!". When the boy said "Then I just won't go to school then!", Kody waved his hair back and forth like a ghetto back up dancer on In Living Color and seemed speechless for a few seconds. Then, came back with "consequences, yadda yadda yadda". Bravo, Kodeman.

Meri--wow. When she spoke of being back together as a family, it almost seemed like she hated the idea. I'm sure Kody just loves being at her house. There are no screaming kids, no children fawning for his attention asking him to play since they've not seen him all week. He and Lover get their alone time to make their relationship even stronger while the others suffer. Also, was Meri's tone about watching what the wives do during the day now not uber creepy? Stalker neighbor much? Keep your mini-blinds closed, ladies!

Listening to Christine discuss her feelings on the realty to Kody and him just mocking her, he so deserved a throat kick. She was seeking his opinion on it, maybe looking for some uplifting commentary on possibilities. All he offered was sarcasm and walking away. I don't see her sticking around. Once all of the seasons are over and houses begin getting foreclosed on, she will be moving on to better herself and allow her kids better opportunities. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Christine ended up in a monogamous relationship. She may be plyg royalty, but she's got feelings just like any other woman. Emotional abuse will cause you to do things you never thought you could--like leave.

I, too, am growing tired of hearing the whole "how am I going to put bread and butter on the table" junk when you see them getting new hair-dos, manicures, pools and continuing to cater to a junk jewelry hobby business. Many of their viewers genuinely know the struggles of putting groceries on the table. Many don't even consider manicures in their budget. That is groceries for a whole week plus some for many American families. Dear Brown family, consider different story lines other than discussing how broke you are. You live in luxury. Take a look around.

I'm not understanding how Robyn thinks that forcing the family to work on MSWC is going to keep them together. My guess is there is something underlying prohibiting Christine and Janelle from wanting any part of it. Maybe because Meri is involved. Who can blame them?

Robyn, stop pushing your "dream" onto the others. Either do it yourself with your own money to not drag the family down with you, or let it go for good. You are not being fair!

  55. Last night's episode was very difficult for me to watch. I cannot believe the way these people act. When watching Kody "your actions have consequences" WTH???? Why were you not up there immediately and finding out just what had happened and then handing out "the consequences"? Children need structure, they need to be given chores and they need follow through.
The whole Meri thing "We go running every morning" DOUBTFUL!
Also, I heard Meri say that Mariah goes to early morning LDS Seminary. Why is that OK for her when it was not OK for Logan to increase his social network in college by attending LDS Institute?
Why does Robin get a date? because she whined the most?
I'm sorry but I so have to say I can understand Christines desire to be a stay at home mom. I have always had that desire because I felt a bigger connection with my children. But, I also know I need to work to pay for the things that my children need. Time management is what is needed in this case it would help Christine to see that she does have value outside of the home.
And Jenelle, Oh Jenelle do you not see what is happening here? You are the moneymaker! You need to Run and Run fast.
And before I end this the talking heads with the teenage girls, Aspyn and Maddison are BEAUTIFUL! I'm so glad they are not buying into this whole Plyg thing is a beautiful way of life. They are amazing and what I would call strong girls! Props to Christine and Jenelle for raising them to think for themselves.
And to end this I believe that all of these women live by one mantra: Keep your friends close, But keep your enemies closer.... And that is all I'm saying about that;).

  56. Why is Meri so orange? Is she doing that spray tan stuff? Also, I agree with those who have said that Sobbin is looking very sick lately. I noticed that when Kody was with Christine or Janelle and they showed a quick picture of Sobbin, she had her phone in her hand as if she is fast texting so I am sure that the entire time that Kody is with one of the other wives, she is needing to be reassured. When they are all neighbors, it would make my day to have Meri's turn with Kody become the hangout for all the kids so that her new house and her wet bar are alive with kids hanging around. Wouldn't that be a riot?

"So, was anyone else yelling at their TV last nite?"

    Yessssssssss !!!
It was a medley of "Are You Idiots Kidding !!!...."WTF !!!"....."Not this crap AGAIN"......"You all expect people to believe this garbage??"

Last night's episode had so many "Not this sh*t AGAIN" moments.

Reminiscent of the night King Sol was born and right after giving birth, Sobbin tells Meanie Meri that she wanted a *private chat."
So the room was cleared of all the family members for their one-on-one private chat. *Except* that the camera and sound crew *were* present to record their "private" chat.

Meanwhile the viewers were supposed to believe that NO ONE else knew what they now knew about the lend-a-uterus offer.
Just gotta love the illusion of "Reality" TV.

I for one am frustrated that TLC thinks its funny for 5 adults not to work and not to parent their 17 kids while the rest of us good people are out there working for a living.

I make good money. I had a nice house and car. But now, my 34 yr old daughter is seriously ill and without medical insurance. I am paying upwards of $2,000 per month for her care. Guess what - I downsized. I got a cheaper car. Why can't these Browns figure it out that society does not owe them a living. Shame on TLC for promoting stupidity.

I honestly wonder, in the Brown's religion, prostitution is a sin. If so, IMHO they all are prostitutes as they are selling their bodys and minds in exchange for money.

  59. It seems to get more and more obvious how unhappy Janelle is. She mentioned feeling like a single mom and then the whole scene with the boys fighting pretty much establishes why she feels that way. She's upstairs trying to referee two boys while Kody is sitting downstairs choosing to ignore it while he plays on his computer Googling hair products. The fact that she even had to 'ask' him to come upstairs is ridiculous... I don't think I ever see Kody doing any real parenting. And as he goes upstairs he says 'somebody is about to be in big trouble!'

  60. I have a question I hope someone here can help me with. Remember a while back when the Browns participated in a discussion and Colleen and Christine's aunt that defected from the cult spoke at as well? Was the clip shown in the season opener tease footage from that? When Kodpiece said to Colleen it seemed "Because your experience with polygamy was bad doesn't mean that polygamy is evil", didn't Coco look like she wanted to bust? I PRAY they actually show someone cutting him down to size. Colleen or Christine's aunt, just somebody. That fool can't see what has gone so horribly wrong in his own family, how the heck is he some kind of authority on what a healthy plyg family should be. My lip just curled because I smell the foul odor of Surfer Boy Hubris. It's a mixture of entitlement, arrogance, pit sweat, many hair care products, mock tapioca, & balogney and it is a "speshul snowflake" kind of stank.

  61. I love love Sister Wives and have never missed an episode. I'm a Christian of Lutheran denomination, but I don't judge others and I am open to learn more about other religions. I feel an emotional attachment to the Brown family... and I love them all. I've found it very interesting to watch the dynamics of their family and how they make it all work.
However, the past 2 seasons I've found myself more "depressed" than moved or intrigued. NONE of them appear happy. The struggle is never-ending and the source appears to be jealousy and selfishness. (Robyn seems to be the most invested out of all of them, God bless her.) So, my question remains the same as it was when I first began to watch the show...
How does polygamy make one "better" or "closer to God"? It seems it is doing the opposite for this family - and unfortunately for a majority of viewers.

  62. So I just watched the second episode again and OMG the difference is ridiculous. I couldn't believe my eyes when Meri helped Christine set up her room for Truely's crib. She would never ever in a million years do anything that helpful now. I don't think Meri actually likes any of the kids other than princess Mariah. Also poor Truely gets shoved into a corner while Solomon has his own brand new room! The injustices the plyg men put on their women shocks me every time. Oh yes and one more thing, watching creepy Kody's lascivious grins while he's courting Robyn is so gross. Seriously it almost rivals Michael Cawley's everyday face lol.

WTH there is a whole bunch of teenage babysitters and the only little one she has is Truely. Just who does she think is going to pay for that 450,000 house????? Janelle? This scene may have just made me jump ship. Many of us Mom's work weekends, nights, whatever to pay our normal mortgages.
