Sister Wives: Hard to Say Goodbye and Secrets Revealed (S05, E08 and E09)

"Hard to say Goodbye"
As the Browns prepare a proper send-off for Logan's graduation, Kody and the wives push hard to get moved into their new homes before Christmas. Will all the pressures of moving and decorating for the holidays get the better of them?

Well, let's see. If his graduation was any indicator, this episode will be filled with chaos and less about Logan and more about his hapless parents. Joe Darger, care to organize? I'd like to see a well ran send off for once. I would love to be a bug on the wall when he and his wives are discussing this show. If Robyn cries, I may scream.

I find it a tad hard to swallow that Kody is so broken up over Logan leaving at this point. Janelle, certainly. That's her first baby, of whom she is so proud. He IS staying in the same town!. Kody is at the house, what, once a week, and now, he can have 100 excuses to go see the women, I mean Logan, at college. Somehow, I don't see Kody turning his head as the Duggars do. "nick nick" Can you imagine him walking around flipping his hair? More than one college student will get a chuckle out of that sight!

I digress, but back to the beginning, when we meet Logan and he's cooking breakfast. Still amazed that Meri could not cooperate and cook breakfast for Janelle's crew, when Janelle was paying her bills, and Logan got up and cooked breakfast every morning. What a good boy. That was just another fine example of how "they all work together" if it's cutting the checks, but not if Janelle's kids need fed or Christine needs a study break. Meri, what exactly DO you DO?

I say, RUN LOGAN RUN, and HAVE FUN!!!!

"Secrets Revealed"
The Brown family sits down with NBC's Tamron Hall to look back at the latest dramatic season of Sister Wives and dig deeper into the ups and downs of life as a polygamist family separated into four different homes.

Now wait a minute- an hour of HOW the 4 homes have affected their lives, when they are now in 4 homes? Only Brown logic could be used on this one. Was Natalie too tough? Crud. I LIKED her!

Would it not be interesting if they showed each house they have lived in, and for how long? Kind of a back track up to now story? What about Robyn saying she lived with mom and then a small apt., but when we met her, she was in a nice house? I doubt they could do this, the stories would get all screwed up in their fantasy story telling.

Since the wives, minus Meri, own their home in their own name, it will be interesting if later on (and you know it will happen) when the bubble bursts, or the jewelry runs out of stock, if Janelle will relent and either sell her house for the greater good or keep it. She's plucked down her money once. I don't see a twice in her book. We are all looking for Kody and Meri's house to show up- of course it will, but probably a BORING story season ender. And it will cost more. it's Grody's, for crying out loud!

BTW. I came up with a little idea for four homes where the yard could be hidden. Somehow building 4 homes all backed up to other homes or a road is not very - private. Pardon my third grade drawing. Makes sense to me!  Why don't they just own the fact they have lived apart more than they have lived together. Do you think they REALLY want privacy? I say Kody wants to be seen, wind in hair, or should I say tufts. If privacy is what they wanted, and a purer place to raise kids, also free land, Montana would be looking pretty good....

  1. I am looking forward to seeing Meri's house. I have a feeling that it will be extravagant.

It is amazing how Kody tries to tell her, "No", but has no success. On the RV trip, Meri tells Kody not to bark at her, and he has a non-reaction--can you imagine if that had been Christine? He would have slapped her with a "save your grocery money if you want to see your dad" -like response.

I suspect that Kody jumped at the chance to be a polygamist because HE thought he was a catch, but his personality was a turn-off to women. He knew he would be a catch for the polygamist community. Meri, in her younger days, was "cute" in a Whoville way (her looks now are bizarre and jarring), but she wouldn't have landed any other guy with the equivalent of Kody's looks.

    1. Yup - can hardly wait to see Meri's wet bar - oh and yes the other parts of the house as well. She is the leader of this mob, so she will bet more. And that is that.

    2. Let's not forget it's Kody's only owned home - I think he is greedy and behind it as well. It's a shame not to save that money for the kids.

    3. Meri is a Drama Queen who uses her infertility sob story to get her way in all other matters. I am so sick of her whining and attention-seeking! Someone needs to set her straight, and Kody the wuss sure isn't going to do it.

    4. I could not believe, but then again wasn't surprised by, that Kody asked Christine to give her excess budget to Meri. Dear God, make it stop!

    5. I usually defend Meri, but have to say I was shocked at Koduche saying that! And then Her bringing Robin in was not so great...Actually, I like Christine best. I wish she would go out on her own, but she would be the last one to do so, as she is from Poligimist Royalty poor thing

    6. I was shocked as well that Kody suggested Christine give her remaining money to Meri. I am so sick of Meri I can't see straight. She just has no redeeming characteristics lately. She disgusts me with her wet bar and the 5th bedroom.....ugh!

    7. Whoville! That is hilarious. I agree completely about Meri's appearance. And the drama with Mariah (or however it's spelled) crying and wanting a sibling, at the age of 17. It's similar to a child wanting a pet dog. They won't care for it, support it, walk it or feed it, but they NEED a pet (baby brother/sister). A child's opinion should never be a consideration in bringing a baby into the world, not to mention a polyg world.

  2. Looking at your house layout and private interior yard would resemble the more compound style of secretive plyg lifestyle. Put it in the middle of nowhere and there you have it. Private and secure. This is NOT what the Browns are about. They want exposure, attention, money and drama. That is where the money comes from. Your plan would NOT BE APPROVED!

Love the bit about Kody's golden "tufts" of flowing hair blowing in the wind or perhaps blowing out in the wind! LOL!

    1. But don't they complain about privacy? Would it not give the kids a place to gather?

      Delete
    2. The kids will play in the front street of the cuddle sac, with a ball and a stick.

      Delete
    3. They complain about a lot of things but rarely, if ever, take steps to do anything about it. If they were truly interested in what's best for their kids as they claim, like a place to gather and play or for them to be real brothers and sisters like they're constantly lamenting about, they would make sacrifices as adults to make that happen. Like, oh I don't know, sharing a kitchen so they could all live in the same house? Or dividing the parenting load among all the parents, Kody and Meri included, rather than leaving Christine struggling to find time to study with Truely being a typical toddler (high-maintenance, as all are) while Sol gets all kinds of love and attention and passing around. Or budgeting as a family income so that each person (read: the children) has enough of what they need regardless of which wife birthed them. And so on...

      Delete
    4. My brothers (50 actually did something like this on 6 acres. Not for privacy, but to have the middle yard more of a communal play area, Sand box area, swing set, pool, and even horseshoes. It turned out very nice. That is, of course, unless someone gets divorced, which would be my fear.

      Delete
    5. Please, they could have bought four double wides, or even five, and connected them all with hallways. They could have configured them just like the picture and had a nice safe courtyard like yard area in the middle. They could have put in a pool and a nice yard area for the money they are spending on those ridiculous houses. If what they all crap on about is true, and real then this is what they would have done. They could have picked up some land in Nevada, or even Utah in a more plyg friendly county for cheap. They could live their lifestyle and have loads of privacy. The fact of the matter is that they are full of crapola, Kody wants attention. The wives are along for the ride, maybe not Robyn as she jumped on board right as they were getting the show. Kody might even have married her for the attention it brought to the show. Kody is as bad as all the other plygs its just manifested in a different way. This family is ridiculous...Christine and Janelle are abused by Kody and Merri, Robyn is Kody's trophy, what he sees as a plyg trophy wife!

      Delete
    6. I agree with you. Janelle and Kristine are abused. And neglected. And I am so sick of Meri and Robyn's fake crying and Meri's selfish drama. As for Kody he is an immature idiot.

  3. I couldn't help but think to myself [while watching the episode of whether the Browns got approved for their loans]..."Ohh what a surprize! CHRISTINE forgot to pay a bill on time!" All eyes on her again!!
Hey why not jeopardize the whole plan cuz of her uncontollable JEALOUSY!!
I can't help but notice how jealous she is towards Robyn in particular but she is all around a jealous person.
It comes out in her personality...and makes her ugly!!! She sounds so phony at times...I try to like her but I just don't!!

When I first started to watch the show I adored her!! Until I saw just how much of a jealous & insecure person she is....AND I think Kody isn't in love with her anymore...jealousy is weak & makes you ugly too...!

    2. I disagree, respectfully. Christine is disillusioned because she thought they were going public to strengthen their church and beliefs, as seen in some of the old clips here. It was kinda her and Kody's "thing." Now, it's just a free for all, and she feels put out to pasture, and very non trusting of anyone but Janelle. I hope she gets fit and gets happy. She is the one true mother of the group. Not taking anything away from Janelle, who was the breadwinner and equally important. Christine was more of a mother to all the kids, and see the other mothers (maybe minus Janelle) do not care for her children as see did theirs. That must be very hurtful, along with Kody now dismissing her. Since she was a "princess" of the AUB group, and now who knows if they are even in that group, and now not teaching the children at home, she must feel displaced.

      Delete
    3. I don't think jealousy is weak - that's what they teach polygamist women - that all their natural feelings are wrong. What a miserable way to live.

      Delete
    4. I think Meri is the most jealous of them all. What does that say about her? About being first wife?

      Delete
    5. While I think Christine is a fabulous mother, which is evident by her great relationship with not only her biological kids but also her bonus kids, I have to agree that she is definitely needy. She needs to be the center of attention because she has probably always been so. She's AUB royalty and then she was the last/fave wife. This is probably the first time she's had to deal with not being the center and she's had to do it publically at that. I'm sure it is very hurtful, but I think this is a great opportunity for her to grow up! I think she plays dumb because she thinks it's cute. I think she's smarter than she portrays. If any wife were to leave, I'd put my money on Christine, but she won't do it anytime soon because they are all clearly over the moon about the new McMansions. Now when the newness wears off and the bills start piling up, we'll see ...

    1. And her kids running and wanting to be the center of attention. It's a bit too much. Wondering if this episode will show them more upset than the other children about Logan leaving.

      Delete
    2. Merri is a BEAST! She plays the poor me card and the oh I wanted eight kids card to her advantage. If she wanted more kids then she would have taken up Robyn's offer, what does it matter if Robyn carries it for her since they are a big happy family...She gets the same amount of money for her one kid that the others do for their six, why would she want to mess with that? And your absolutely right, Christine had a miscarriage and picked up the pieces and moved forward. Merri doesn't want to, she loves her pitty party too much, she is a manipulative b%^&h, otherwise why would it be such a hard decision for her? If everything they say has any truth to it then Merri wouldn't act the way she does, she gives this families fraud away. Also she seems like a Lesbian, she gives off that vibe she really does. If that is the case then it makes perfect sense why she pushed her husband into other women's beds, she sticks around for him to pay her bills, she has her one kid, and she doesn't have to deal with the sex part of it all as he has other wives for that. Think about it........

    3. finally seeing realityDecember 30, 2012 at 9:21 PM

Not a fan of SW, but IVF is not all that simple. It is expensive as well as emotionally taxing and has only about a 50% success rate. People think that Robin offering makes it easy, but there is no reason why Meri cannot carry a baby, therefore doing the IVF completely. The problem has more to do with the age and viablity of her eggs as to whether it would be successful. People make it seem that just because Robin offered it would be a done deal. NOT SO! The risk of it not being successful goes up do to Meri's age. As we age so do our ovaries and the eggs released. I don't blame her. My daughter who is young just went through the process unsuccessfully and it was a nightmare, and they were financially able to afford the $25,000 dollars it cost. Also even if it is successful the chances of birth defects in a woman Meri's age is extremely high. She has a child and I don't blame her for being happy with that and going on with her life as it is. People should quit being so hard on Meri about this issue, as most don't know what it involves. Robins offer was for her own self serving reasons as there would be no reason for her to carry Meri's baby anyway.

      Delete
    4. I agree with everything "finally seeing reality" said. Also, Mariah is almost 18 now. I think if Robin had been around to make the surrogate offer ten years ago, or even five, Meri would have jumped at the chance. It's a much harder decision to make at this stage of her life...

      Delete
    5. At Meri's age, doesnt she have a less than 1% chance of harvesting a viable egg?

I agree with the above, we all know Meri doesnt want a baby. Move on, TLC. We figured it out long ago.

  6. I have watched the show from the beginning- Thought it does make a interesting saga to follow- Kody is hot or so he thinks, as he should though, he ha created a world where these women are at his command- No you say, actually yes. They claim no jealousy but alas it is written all over their faces which I see Kody as feeding their insecurities. Meri is rather cold blooded and hold the 1st and legally only card. I see that as the only reason why she stays around, lest not be defeated. I see Meri not wanting to try IVF simply for seeing the other women tied down to kids. Her girl is headed off to college. And Robyn to surrogate a child- HA! Why would Meri want the pregnancy on Robyn again?- Robyn acts like the wounded bird, but she has slipped right on into favorite wife position and they all know it- Janelle is the workhorse of the family- with the brains and the having kids department, bless her heart. Janelle has earned the right to put her glasses up in the kitchen how she wants to. Christine... oh Lordy, I am sure she caused the other two wives much grief over the years but it is all being paid back now!! It really must have sucked to know you are having a baby and the baby daddy is getting sugars off the girlfriend/future #4. But really y'all great show, I still look forward to watching. But it looks as though if it was all rainbows and daisies then the women wouldn't be crying so much- I mean really- watch a episode or two and see how many times they burst into hormonal fits all red faced and puffy eyed!! And Kody sits there every time with the same confused dumb look on his face.

Does she have family (from the AUB royalty) who can help/support her if she decides to leave....or family who have experience with wives who leave and divorce their husbands in this lifestyle? 10. What happens when plyg kids grow up? Do they continue to view their father's other wives as their "mothers"? Do they visit them and possibly financially assist them if needed?(in other words, treat them as they would their own mother) Or do they basically ignore them? Or are they hostile towards them remembering the competition and pain the other womwn caused their mother. Obviously every family would differ, but in general, how are the other mothers treated?

    5. VegasMom, respectfully, they may or may not be able to. Each piece of land can only have a limited number of dwellings on it. Youre still have to follow specific rules. Such as how high your fences are, how wide your home is, etc. I dont think they would be allowed to face the homes as seen in the drawing. I think it's a great idea, but in the three states we have built in, it wouldn't have been allowed. I will say tho, one was not NV. But I could see NV having the same requirements for the same reason. It would look terrible if homes were allowed to face any random direction. It brings down values as well.

As far as the jealously issue...yes everyone gets jealous. However, their ugly bald husband obviously enjoys stirring it up between them. I know most might disagree with me...but these women all deserve this relationship because they all have the ability to leave, and choose to stay. I feel no pity for women who refuse to do what's in the best interest of their children. Seeing their phucktard of a daddy once a week for mere minutes isn't a reason to stay and endure the eventual trainwreck outcome ending of this family.

I'm only speaking for Christine here and possibly Janelle if she is truly into the religion like some say even though she wasn't raised in this. I feel Meri and Robyn, while they were raised in this lifestyle, knew better and could have made a better lifestyle choice but chose this lifestyle and this family in order to be bullies, passive aggressive ninnies, narcissistic know it alls, attention seekers, lazy money hogs, and princesses. 19. Interesting that once a "storyline" is over, you don't see it anymore? What about Meri and Robyn being besties? I sure don't see that at all lately. The little ones staying with Meri? How they all work together? Nope. They can blame it on being apart, but for goodness sakes, they only lived a mile apart (Meri).

Even in Big Love, they had breakfast and dinners nightly. Nick and Margie happily worked in Barb's kitchen quite a bit. I doubt this as ever happened in any other their households.
As a matter of fact, many of my happiest times are when my sister in law and our daughters are all in the kitchen, and we seem to do so well. What's up with them not eating together?
Oh wait - now it's brought up, they will show it on the show. Because, you know, now they are so close together, that WILL make all the difference in the world! WHAT A CROC! 3 of them lived less than a block apart before. Could Meri not drive over?
They are not living a good polygamy life. I don't agree with polygamy, but at LEAST Joe Darger and family try to live their faith, and not afraid to speak about the faith. That I can respect much more than this mess.

  20. Did the Brown's not pay their bill or something? I went to MSWC because I wanted to look at this fancy "not cheap" jewelry and the web site is not accessible...anyone care to comment? Also, where do these people work? Merri said in the episode where they were explaining why they all get equal amounts of money that she is doing an equal amount of work, what work? Is she talking about this show? This is work? What does Merri do besides whine and cry and bitch and moan? I've been trying to figure these people out and they seem like one big fraud. They have Mormon symbols all over the place, there was like a picture of the SLC temple in Merri's entry way. Last season when they were having church service at one of their homes Kody was reading from the BOM. They made a pilgrimage to Nauvoo, but they aren't even LDS. If they are so bent on following the religion that Joseph Smith restored then they would know that one of the main things is that they are to follow the "Prophet", even if they don't like what he is saying. How does Polygamy fit into this? It hasn't been part of LDS life for many years. This is a problem to me. They are so hypocritical it is laughable. Am I the only one who notices this? Janelle commented that she would like her kids to be LDS if they weren't going to be Plygs, see what I mean...OH, and that Mariah, can you only imagine what a fun Sis wife she will be. I can see her being as awful and mean, abusive as her Mom. It is funny to hear her talk about the reasons why she is planning to be a Sister wife herself, because she wants what her parents have, does she really think that is what it is to be happy? They seem like they can't stand each other, she seems as off as her Mother is...

According to Robyn, their server can't handle the traffic peaks on show nights, and it's too expensive to get a better server. So she asked that fans try later during the week...not good business if you ask me.

They have Mormon symbols all over the place

They are fundamentalist Mormons, so I would expect Mormon symbols to be present - it makes up the foundation of their faith! They still believe in Joseph Smith, Nauvoo, Brigham Young, everything Mormon except for the banning of polygamy and the changes to church doctrine in 1978.

This proves IMO that MSWC exists solely as a plot line for the show.

The Brown mentality boggles the mind of anyone with a grain of sense.

    5. Dakota - I agree with you on the server BS. I've often wondered why they don't just pay to have it hosted. It's not THAT expensive and it would be worth it for them business-wise not to have the site go down all the time. Who knows, if someone actually buys their crap jewelry that would pay the hosting fees

I think she is one of the most manipulative selfish people I have ever seen. I don't know how Christine and Janelle put up with her. She keeps the baby option open so she has something to whine about and a way to manipulate everyone into feeling sorry for her. I have had enough of her. It's disgusting to me.....I actually feel myself getting physically angry over it while I watch! I am so indignant for Christine and Janelle!

Why doesn’t this man realize that he is hurting his kids by secluding and demeaning their mothers? Also, what makes Kody think he is a father: last time I checked a father was involved in their children’s lives and not a part time parent. Has anybody notice how he carries his trophies infant like he is gold. Ok, so how about the other children: Oh remembered after Christine had her last daughter the Brown clan just shook it off and was more excited about planning the wedding between Kody and his trophy wife. 32. OK, that awful quilt for Logan to take to college, was that their idea of a joke? Or were they serious? Can you imagine how embarrassing that would be for a young man? I mean, these people! If that is their way of trying to keep him from having sex, well they are just ODD. An 18-19 year old man is going to do what he is going to do in the sex department, right or wrong these are his choices. Like Kody is some big example to tell his son not to be sexually active, he is stuping four women at a time and has been for years! That quilt was just sooooooo tacky, I would store it in his Mom's attic or garage if I were him. Go to Bed Bath and Beyond, or even K Mart Logan and buy a dorm sized quilt, DON'T take that awful hick quilt to college, he will be the laughing stock!

Kody and all of his wives are also BREAKING THE LAW regardless of all their lame excuses.

Exactly right..it does hurt when the first one leaves the nest.
      But life goes on.

But about the bonus moms....come on, I would bet that for the last almost two years of his life none of the other "mothers" had quality time with him other than TLC-contrived time via trips and outings.
Also, he is an older teen. That age group doesn't hang around home watching cartoons and playing games with younger siblings. They are mobile, either for socializing or for after school jobs.

And let's be real about Sobbin....she has only "known" Logan a few years and even that was peripheral, since she has NEVER lived with him. But as always, she had to make sure she too had her share of * tears time * for cameras.

When they were all sitting down choosing options for their homes, Meri felt like she walked into the room to an attitude. Before she came in, the ladies pointed out that she was already over budget. So she was right, he did have an attitude. So what if she was a little over, this is gonna be her HOME for a long time and she wants everything to be right right now instead of having a costly renavations later on. Kody actually will have 4 family homes, unlike all the wives. Meri only gets one home so she deserves to have it made just like she wanted. That is not reality. Reality is you purchase what you can afford and if you can't afford something you either purchase something cheaper or less options or you WAIT until you CAN afford it.

I wanted granite countertops in our kitchen and bathrooms, but we were at the top of our budget so I didn't get them. They are four wives. It should be equal money if they are getting separate homes. It should be the same budget. The others didn't have to have 6 kids. It should not be have the most kids get the biggest budget. I think separate houses are a bad idea. If any of this is a good idea.

    1. If you look at it that way, but they are claiming to be this big happy family, fully united. In that sense no it doesn't make sense to equally divide money, they should be dividing it according to needs not just to be "equal". So Christine and Kody's kids, or Janelle and Kody's kids have to sacrifice and go with less, or without so that stupid Merri can have her bar? If they weren't such a big fraud then Merri wouldn't be demanding so much over appearances, the appearance of possibly getting less as she would care more about the needs of the children. Remember supposedly they are her kids as well...but then they are just a big fraud. The appearance of equality is more important to them then taking care of the children!

Welfare fraud, numerous bankruptcies, lotsa free rides, willing to go on TV and lie some more for money, exploiting their children on TV all for money so that they don't have to actually work. Janelle is truly the only one who's paid her dues and fairly contributed. I hope one day she decides she's had enough and she leaves them all to fester in their delusions and dysfunction and deceit. I would be mortified and repulsed if my parents went on TV and took part in outright lies all for money.

  53. A re-committment ceremony?? Are they just looking for ways to blow money at this point?? I guess there's no hope of just learning more about every day life and survival as a polygamous family. Now they are creating drama with all of these dumb vacations and pseudo-celebrations of any life event that they can film. It's become Jon & Kate in record time, and I'll be surprised if they have more than one season left in them.

  54. OMG, Meri is crying every five minutes-i recommend>Therapy!!! iT IS ALSO OBVIOUS THEY ARE MILKING THIS BABY STORYLINE FOR ALL IT'S WORTH-she isnt interested in having a baby....Kody & his hair-good grief, get over yourself-your hair is a hot mess-cut that stuff already...those are not houses they are building-they are mansions-and to act like they are bickering over 200 dollars over budget is laughable...they boo who over not being in one house-and still go ahead and build four-i think they are all nuts...

    1. Well you can't pick Krochie's brain for anything insightful, might as well pick on his hair. By next season there will be a new look.

  55. Wow! All of them look so much better in the interview...make-up on all of sister wives and the girls look fantastic and their clothes are so much better. NBC must have lent their services..even Cody looked better.
Also, did you notice Robyn at the home site? She was D-E-F-I-N-I-T-E-L-Y pregnant. Wonder when they are going to tell us what happened?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I thought she looked pregnant, too.

The studio during the interview must have been a bit too toasty -- they were all sweating and shining. They looked great at first, though!

Oh, and I think we can guess what happened. ;)

    2. Hi Anon above. I think you are right. All looked great. The kids did a credible job in the interview and either Robyn has had her head in the doritto bag to often, or she is preggers. Will make for another season or two.

  56. Meri .. Grow up. Makes grown up decisions (not spending the families resources on rooms for kids that you don't have, needing a wet bar when you don't drink, to have a baby or not). Seriously, we've listened to you sob over and over about the second child and now that robin offers the solution you suddenly can't deal and the only decision you can make is what color carpet you want and the fact that you NEED French doors!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I need french doors too. Having them installed next month. I am with Meri. If you are going to live like a queen for a month or two before it all falls apart, might as well go whole hog.

  57. Did you notice that they are rolling the cost of the blinds and washer/dryer into the cost of the home? That means they are financing (and paying interest on) the cost of these items for at least 15, and possible 30 years (depending on whether they choose a 15 or 30 year mortgage). Not a savvy financial move, Browns.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Totally correct! These Browns are now victims of their own fame. They think it will go on forever and are not in any way preparing for the obvious future.

      Delete
    2. They make one devastating financial move after the next. That makes as much sense as financing your car insurance and many people still do it.

Why would they even consider financing blinds, the washers and dryers? If they had any sense they would go buy used pairs or floor models that come with warranties. And between the four women, couldnt one of them taken on the job of sewing basic curtains for the homes?

Hint: if you can not afford a basic slab of cement in your backyard, you can not afford your home.

I bet the cost of blinds and the washer and dryers, after interest will be MORE THAN $50,000!!!!!!

They should have had plenty of time to learn how to become financially fit and to set a better example for their children.

  58. I see that Janelle tweeted that Tamron Hall "asked some tough questions." I must have been out of the room when they were asked. Did Ms. Hall ask about welfare fraud or why, if they are so concerned about money, does Logan pay for housing at UNLV when he could commute and save thousands of dollars a year?

  59. Does anyone else think Robin's sister is the next sister wife?

    1. Of course. Why else would he be consulting his hair dresser about a new doo? He has got to turn on the Krochy charm and has to look gooooood.

  60. This interviewer let them get away with the same BS responses. Example:

How are you going to afford these homes?

Robyn: We have a lot of work to do, but we are determined and it is our goal.

WTH? I am determined to reach my goal of winning the lottery, but it hasn't happened yet.

    1. I am sorry you haven't won the lottery yet. I am pulling for you in the next draw. PS. If you win big, could you send me some to pay down my mortgage. Thanks.

  61. Subtitle for "Secrets Revealed" is "The Meri Show". Really at least 75% or more was Meri talking or the others talking about her... it was not very interesting.

The quilt was nice but not for a guy's dorm room---

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Agreed and Agreed. Meri did seem to dominate the interview, but then again she does run the show.

I think the quilt was a loving gesture that he will appreciate as he gets older, not now, and not in the dorm.

  62. "Fair" does not always mean "equal," Meri.

    1. You all have to realize that Meri comes from a plig background where the women all had to fight, whine and wail for the advantage over the other wives. She has seen it done and knows how to go about getting what she wants. Likely needs an antidepressant. It has done Christine wonders after her post partum episode.

  63. Did anyone else catch when Kody and Janelle was going over her house options and it was quick and easy, he told her to kiss him because it was so simple with her. Her expression was like "oh sh!t, really? I have to kiss him?". Then she did do it, but it was reluctant and forced, like how you are made to kiss your weird uncle and he turns his head at the last second and you accidentally get his lips--that is how she looked.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I think she doesn't like PDA. I HATE PDA and would NEVER kiss my boyfriend in front of 2 women in a room. I don't think it was a matter of her being forced to kiss him because he was him but the situation in general.

  64. Thought the makeup was good, except Christine's. She is just naturally pretty and looks better without all of that. Janelle's makeup was very pretty.

They are still lying and acting like they've known the Dargers forever.

Will Meri and Janelle ever be friends? No, but they can share a husband. On what planet does that make sense?

    Boring ...

  65. I am watching the episode where you all are learning visiting Carthage Jail...my heart is broken. I was raised LDS, but do not practice now. I have a huge love for Prophet Joseph. I have so much respect for him. I also have a respect for you and what you stand for and believe in. I am married, and have no desire to be a polygamist. That being said, I strongly believe that you have a right to love who you love, and love as many people as you want to love. I feel like you are good people and it breaks my heart for you that people would be mean to you because of what you believe. Although I don't share the same beliefs, I don't think there's anything wrong with what you believe. Stay strong, you are beautiful, good people. Keep the faith, stay true to who you are. Good people are few and far between.

You have milked this cow dry. Just put it out to pasture !!

Meri is no more going to have IVF or rent Sobbin's uterus..than the Kodster was or is ever going to shave his scraggly head.

  67. I am going to take out flood insurance before the new season of the show because the entire United States will soon be underwater from the tears produced by this family. Wasn't there a commercial for a new movie about a family surviving a tsunami among the innumerable TLC commercials? Apropos.

  68. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to watch any of this but got to watch bits and pieces. From what I saw it looked like in order for Meri to get the wet bar, which she didn't want except fot the counter space, she had to have the bonus room and a fifth bedroom. Wow. So she economizes by not getting washer and dryer. I wouldn't put a washer and dryer in financing a house either. You'd be on your sixth washer and dryer while you were paying off the place and originals. But I digress. Why the hell would you not forego the wet bar you don't really want and put in the extra counter and wet bar for that matter after you move in? That's customizing to how you really need it. And you don't really know that until after you've lived in it for a bit. You want a party area, in Las Vegas you can put in a patio room and counter and wet bar for not a lot of money. I did, and it's a very nice patio room that has stood the test of time. I'm happy to use it as a den and I sleep there when company takes my bedroom. Great place. Better than adding a bonus room and extra bedroom for the sake of a stupid sink and counter. Good grief.

  69. I'm beginning to wonder if Kody is planning to use giving Meri the house extras as leverage for another baby from her, however he can get it. He didn't even seem to fight her overage in that last scene. And he clearly doesn't realize how much blinds cost!

  70. I so loooove a good snark, but even I with my cynical heart, have to admit, I did tear up a bit over the quilt. I agree with many od the posters tho, an 18 yr old guy living in the dorms pribably wont want ti cuddle up with it at night...but, as a mom who just recently sent her daughter off to college on the east coast, I thought the quilt was a really cool "momento"...plus, I just lost my mom two months ago...so seeing that quilt, with his family's pics seemed like a really loving gesture. A famuly heirloom if u will. In light of my loss, I guess it just touched me....

  71. I noticed when Robyn joined Meri and Kody to pick out Meri's options, she had these headphones on Sol's ears. Why would she put headphones on a child that young? It is so bad for children's hearing.

I also noticed that when the baby tried to move them or take them off, she pushed them right back on. Does anyone know what is up with that? Is this some therapy or something that I'm unaware of since I don't have kids at home any longer? HELP PLEASE

  72. I must say, I thought the family quilt given to Logan was a great idea and the quilt itself was beautiful. At first I thought it was a little cheesy because of the photos and that he wouldn't dare take it to school with him. But then Robyn flipped it over and there was the more "usable" tartan. That was thoughtful, especially for a family that doesn't tend to think things through :p

I'm SURE that this question has been asked and answered on this blog before but my curiosity was peaked during Robyn's credit score crisis ep. Does anyone know if Robyn's kids see their bio dad ever? And do they have the last name Brown or Jessop? I have a feeling it's Brown and I'm curious as to why it was changed. I could see how her kids, aside from King Sol obviously, might have taken Brown if they don't have contact with their bio dad. I know that they call Kody dad. Robyn must legally be Sullivan since that's the last name she used in the family's civil complaint paperwork and for deed on the McMansion.

  74. Ok im getting mixed up, I thought the Browns admitted in an interview over the summer that the homes fell through?
I dont understand why they dont go back to Utah and build an addition for Robin!
I dont understand why the interviewer is playing along with the new homes lie?

  75. If you're considering a commitment to someone, such as the commitment the SW have made, I think it's helpful to know that the #1 reason why people divorce is financial.

You do not have to be educated to learn how to have a healthy financial foundation. I learned from reading online and by reading books while at the library and bookstore. It didn't cost me a penny.

I am one of three children. I am the only one without a college education. My brother and sister are both highly educated(masters & a doctorate!) and have abnormally high IQs, but they make poor financial decisions. They are both drowning in consumer debt.

I have not completed college. But I made a decision to learn as much as I could about living a financially sound. It takes a lot of self-discipline. But when you sit down and crunch the numbers, is financing a car every five years really worth it? It would cost $90,000 over a 30 year period @ $250/month. Do you NEED a credit card? Why pay interest for something that you can pay off? Do you NEED a credit card company to buy your clothing and decorations? If you can't afford to do things like get instillation and a cement slab for your home, then you can not afford it. If you can not save up and buy your own washer and dryer and pay cash for your window coverings, then you can not afford your home.

I fear for the financial future, which in turn in the security of this family. These kids are watching. They are not being taught how to live within a budget. How to save up, pay cash and save the difference. They are taught that if you want something you manipulate the system to get it.

I have no debt aside from a mortgage that will be paid off when I am 50 years old. And I live on less than $27,000/year for a family of THREE in California! I could teach these Sister Wives a thing of two about being frugal. There is so much peace when you finally realize that you already have almost everything that you need already.

I was rooting for the Sister Wives family. But I get so frustrated watching them make one devastating financial decision after another.

I think TLC needs to bring Suze Orman on board. She would teach them that "determination" does does feed your children.
