portland craigslist > clark/cowlitz > personals > miscellaneous romance

seeking a Kody Brown type relationship - mw4w - 5430 (Vancouver)

Date: 2012-08-06, 4:29AM PDT

I am 54 years young and my wife is 30. We are a mixed race family. Caucasian and Asian. We have been married for 11 1/2 years. We have 2 children a boy 10 and a girl 5. My wife is into rock climbing and physical exercise. Anyone we would be interested in would have to be athletic so they could exercise with her. I like women who are into God but not into church or religion.

Age is just a number but if you are immature I would lose interest in you fast. I am honest and speak my mind. I can not stand liars at all. If you are Bisexual then dont waste your time with me because I am not interested at all.

My wife is an awesome lady and a wonderful woman and anyone who has her for a sisterwife is very blessed. She helps me stay balanced......

We believe for marriage to be successful we need to support one another and also help each other grow individually, spiritually and as a family......

I am a Ronald Reagan conservative.

  5. So a young, athletic, mature, smart and well rounded woman would want to "marry" a 50* y/o guy with a mail order bride exactly for WHAT? If not to be a goddess on a private planet pooping out spirit babies, what for?

  6. This is the just gross, and he is fifty something young...yeah right! I recently read a blog of one of my students whose husband kicked her out, and she and her two kids have gone from one home to another and he has had woman after woman in and out of his bed and now he wants his wife back but only if he can keep his girlfriend too. And my former student is going back to him. She posts that she has watched sisterwives and they seem so normal...I wanted to post and remind her of her husband's mulitple partners, but I cannot do that. If she had not posted on my facebook page, I would have never known about the recent events in her life. This sisterwives phase is going to hurt a lot of women and children.

  7. I can not fathom what sort of mental state a woman would have to be in to answer such an ad.
He sounds like an absolute creep.
I have no idea why he mentions God in his post as his belief in polygamy is not stemmed from a religious belief.
Maybe some thuggish ruggish chic will answer his ad and empty him of his wallet and run as soon as he turns his back during the first meeting.

Trophy wife is in for a surprise when Keisha shows up!

This is how I would describe Kody's "religion" -- into what he believes is God, but not into what someone else thinks, religion.

  9. we had a guy working downstairs in the printshop years ago (i'm talking 11 years ago) who was older (probably late 40's at the time) but made frequent trips to Thailand. Brought himself home a much younger bride one trip. Of course within 6 months he was going BACK to Thailand...Mrs. Babywife stayed home while he went away for 2 weeks getting down with his bad self. UGH!

  10. This is so sad. Sad that a woman is still treated like that, and someone has been so beat down, they just might need a home and do it. I say those that pray- please keep vulnerable women from predators like this. Surprised he didn't ask for a Dowry. Here's a little poem to the writer of this ad:

    Roses are Red
    Violets are Blue
    Kody is a creep
    And so are you!

  11. Is he ordering a pizza? I want.... Not one word about what THEY offer or why they want a new person.
Sounds like this couple wants a sex slave, cook, and babysitter.
How tragic. If polygamy becomes accepted, we will be seeing much more of this type of behavior. Many a young girl down on their luck will be sucked in....

  12. I just happened to think, what if you were in the flds/aub or whatever offshoot, and the wife died but the husband had not. He can't call her anyplace because he isn't dead yet nor done intergallactic travel. So where is the wife in the meantime? At a space station waiting, or what? A Latter Day Limbo, as it will?

    1. A while ago, a Mormon friend told me that when the wife dies, she goes into limbo land until the husband calls her secret name. If he doesn't call her secret name, she doesn't get into heaven.

      Delete
    2. I wonder what happens if a wife tells lots of people her secret name? Could someone else call her? If not why keep it secret?

Honestly, I would think the limbo land would be better than the planet deal for the majority of these women. Of course not being in a system where a woman's value and worth are totally dependent on and drawn from her husband is better still. No person should be a pet.

    3. I wouldn't trust the jerk. Especially the men with 50 wives or more. He might outlive her by 20 years or more. He wouldn't remember her, let alone her secret name. Would you trust him?

    4. Oh no! I never thought of this. But I am single. Does that mean I will go to hell? I also have no children.

      Delete
    5. So the husband is GOD, our heavenly father? Sorry, I am new here.

    6. I am sure I can find the answer to this question if I looked it up, but as this blog is a guilty pleasure at work I only have time for it.
Who are the members of the family that go to the special heaven? If the purpose of having lots of children is so that your family will be in your kingsom forever and ever what happens to the sons who become husbands of wives? Don't they get there own kingdom? Are they stuck in their father'S? If so then how does anyone ever have their own kingdom?

    7. But I am single...

I think that's why Mormons push getting married and getting sealed in the Temple. So your husband will be on the other side to call your secret name to let you into heaven.

The late Deborah Laake wrote a book called Secret Ceremonies, which talked about the secret temple ceremonies Mormons perform. Anyway, when she was sealed to her husband, she was given her secret name. Years later when she got divorced, she realized that her ex-husband still could decide whether to call her name to allow her into heaven. She decided to tell her mother her secret name, with the instructions to call it out so she'll be allowed into heaven. Of course, I think she was being funny because I don't think a woman has that power.

From what I've read, the husband doesn't reveal his secret name to anyone because 'heavenly father' already knows it and will call him into heaven when he dies.

As far as someone else calling a woman's secret name, I think somewhere on the blog someone commented that a woman is sealed to only one man, but a man can be sealed to many women. So I would think that the secret name only works when spoken by the man the woman was sealed to in the Temple ceremony.

    8. OK that would work more or less if you are a regular Mormon who only has one mate at a time. But the pligs are a different deal. I don't think all the wives are sealed, are they? So if they are playing "ring around the wifey", getting new ones at the whim of Warren Jeffs or somebody, would all the marriages be sealed?

      Delete
    9. I think all the wives are sealed to that man. That's how they get to his planet. It saddens me that I know more about this religion than my own

    10. LoisSilly, I'd like the answer to that question, also. How can the children be on Dad's planet, and yet be with their spouse on a planet?

      Craigslist is something.

      Delete
    11. Anon 12:44, I know what you mean about children and dad planet and their spouses planet. What gives? Also what about The Lost Boys, do they now get bumped from the afterlife when they get thrown out?

My biggest questions to a women in a plig relationship would be, "If you have such heartache in this life with these people, why would you want it to continue for all eternity? If you have barely anytime with your G-d husband now what is it going to be like in the afterlife?"

The Mormans and the Fundies are all living for the future, in hope there is this celestial kingdom, ummmm BullS**t. Everything I read and learn about this CULT is take take take, they do not seem a caring giving CULT, a bunch of selfcentered grifters. imo

    12. So, can a man belonging to a polygamist sect CHOOSE to marry one woman if he wants? I mean, I think that would be the ultimate symbol of love, to not take on additional wives and humble himself to have JUST ONE (oh noes!) wife in the afterlife, and maybe take a little bit longer to populate their planet. After all, they do have eternity, so what's the rush?

I don't know, it just seems greedy to have to take more than your fair share even in HEAVEN for crying out loud.

I don't have a secret name either :( can we just make them up for ourselves? I call "Miss Piggy" for mine, haha

  13. I don't think I have seen this brought up before. If the Brown's are successful at their bid to change the Constitution on the subject of polygamy, I would assume then anyone can be one? This guy, 5 men with one woman?

  14. Omgosh, That is just too funny - if you think this couple is A-Ok, my grandpa has some land in Laredo, TX on the border, and noooooo, there's never a problem with rug smugglers.

  15. Agreed guy sounds like a creep but I have a comment about the statement "Into God but not religion? Is that possible?"

Absolutely possible. I know a lot of very spiritual and ethical people that are not into organized religion. Personally, I no longer belong to a religion but I still have my spiritual beliefs and they are for the most part pretty mainstream.

I have found religion can get in the way of a relationship with God as you become immeshed in the petty politics that can be part of church life not to mention the abuses that have been perpetrated in the name of religion.

This in no way is meant to bash those of you who find comfort in your religion or church home. I just want to say there is a different way too...

  16. Sounds like this crazy older guy wants a friend for his young wife. She's active and he probably can't keep up with the rock climbing. Total perv because he gets a playmate for his wife and a new young woman on the side for himself.

At least Kodouche hides behind Joseph Smith as his reason for doing this...this dude isn't even a fundamental mormon.

Ooh, an aging "Ronald Reagan conservative" who likes computers AND being outside? Someone who appears to be totally self-absorbed and judgmental? And you mean I get to COOK and CLEAN and take care of THEIR kids?!?? I feel a SWOON coming on; hope I can fire off an email before I faint with lust . . . !

      gag. Give me a break.

    2. Good point, boston corgi. If this family is not religious, I ponder what type of woman would be attracted to them. It seems to me that the main "benefit" of polygamy is religious obedience. Other than that, I suspect that a woman who comes from a small, dispersed and/or estranged family of origin--and she wasn't happy about it-- might find polygamy appealing. She can feel that she's suddenly gained the large "family" she always wanted.

  17. LOL..JUST READ BETWEEN THE LINES AND SEE WHAT THIS KODYDOUCHE WANT TO BE REALLY WANTS -LET ME DO MY BEST TO TRANSLATE:
“I am 54 years young and my wife is 30”-TRANSLATION: I have a receding hairline with a few spouts on top. I flip back my hair like Kody and I THINK I look younger.
“We have been married for 11 1/2 years.”-TRANSLATION: I have the 11 ½ year itch and need to have sex with another women. “My wife is into rock climbing and physical exercise. Anyone we would be interested in would have to be athletic so they could exercise with her.” TRANSLATION: Basically NO FAT CHICKS. (I.e, If you eat nachos you better exercise and work those chips off). “I like women who are into God but not into church or religion.” Translation: Basically, I'm just like Kody Brown I take the parts of my spiritual books that I like and talk about them and disregard all other parts. “Age is just a number but if you are immature I would lose interest in you fast.” Translation: I certainly will have sex with you but if you speak your own mind consider it over! “If you are Bisexual then don't waste your time with me because I am not interested at all.” Translation: OK..So my wife is young and beautiful and I have a pot belly and coarse black back hair. That does not mean that you can fall in love with her. WE ARE A PACKAGE you have to have sex with me not her. “My wife is an awesome lady and a wonderful woman and anyone who has her for a sister wife is very blessed.” Translation:Who wouldn't want a wife who lets you sleep with other women. “I enjoy staying up with and discussing current events, enjoy anything outdoors, computers and technology.” TRANSLATION: You can have your own opinions, but they better not differ from mine. I rule the roost! OK...I'm a computer geek, too. I wear coke bottle eye glasses and have beady eyes. I'm proud to say my exceptional computer skills allows me to surf porn on the net very discreetly. “I am a Ronald Reagan conservative.” TRANSLATION; LOL..I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY ABOUT THIS ONE...I know Ronald Reagan had Alzheimer's disease but I don't think he would ever support polygamy!
“My wife enjoys the outdoors, rock climbing, reading, writing, cooking and family activities.” TRANSLATION: Ok..The main job functions include 1.) SEX, 2. laundry and toilet cleaning, 3.) babysitting and more SEX. He sounds like a real winner. Don't take too long to reply to this posting he may be snatched up by someone else. NOT!!

  18. @SammyMom - absolutely agree about the spiritual belief vs religion! The older I get the more I consider myself spiritual instead of religious because I equate being religious to belonging to a church. I don't agree with the man-made rules that come along with religion. You said it perfectly.

As far as the Craigslist weirdo - just .... wow .... this totally opens your eyes to the abuses that would follow if polygamy were legalized! I only hope this ad isn't seen by a young, impressionable girl who is looking to get out of a troubled home...
