Sister Wives: Danielle's Tough Questions

Danielle, an Episcopal minister sits down with Kody and the wives to discuss some pretty tough questions.

38 comments:

  1. Kody has gotten some training. He managed to answer while saying nothing and sounding like he knew what he was talking about. Well played, our surfer king, well played.

  2. At least they get to eat out nicely now. What this, trying to prove other religions condone them. What did she think they were going to do, not love each other? That's silly. the kids love each other.

  3. YES, WE KNOW, YOUR NO FLDS...
but you believe a lot of the same crazy things, admit it!
Kody, way to dance around issues!

  4. AHA!
That's when they were out east!
I cough *bullshit* because ok, yipee, they have evolved and don't believe in arranged marriages, underage, etc. - they still believe Joseph Smith's crap which is blasphemy toward GOD!!!!!

    There were no tough questions.

Would a PRO Brown please tell me what was the tough question he answered?
NONE. Tell us about your religion, instead of just saying your differences with the FLDS. How about the similiarities?

    ReplyDelete
  6. How about the fact they DO BELIEVE in anti Christian beliefs? Like that the your husband pulls you through to heaven, not god? how is the man automatically going?

FreeAnd Clear - answer me this - I've always been curious. they say their children will be on a planet with them -- why wouldn't they be with their spouses? I get confused.

  7. What was tough?

I loved Robyn slurping down that Spagetti!!!

  8. Kody sounded more coherent and more articulate than that bubble headed 'minister', which is not saying a lot for that 'minister'.

But I love how Janelle immediately jumped on the invite to give a public talk in order to gain from the event. It's telling.

    ReplyDelete
  9. What tough questions!? Just a lot of blowing smokescreens to avoid saying anything about what their religion DOES teach. So nice Janelle wants the kids to look at ALL colleges. And how, exactly will they be paying for out of state education for all those kids? It costs a fortune for just one.

  10. Yeah - I notced that.
The chick probably got pd by TLC to do this, and then they can talk through one of her religion classes. She had nothing to lose.

How many want to bet the questions were pre arranged?

Seriously, that's the hardest she could come up with?

    Arranged - yes or no?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Totally arranged Stink Eye ...as all of their interviews are :/ I betcha they wouldn't dare do an interview w/ Katie Couric ....oh man that would be awesome!!
Yep Kody has definitely had some PR training..probably after reading this blog on how we view him, + Liv International required it before his Vegas speaking debut..lol
Now all he needs is a Swag(ger) coach...Hahaha

  12. What I'm tripping on is if they TOTALLY believe their hubby is their exhalation to heaven, then how come a man with SO MUCH POWER, struggle so much financially ??? I mean,If U have the keys to heaven, surely he would be able to unlock the riches here on earth w/o peddling "miracle" products & swindle innocent folks out of their hard earned $$, that they actually worked for :/
Seriously, they're tryN to extend their 15 minutes of fame into a lifetime... & they'll always remain as F- list[ F***'d Up] celebrity status....lol

  13. FYI
The new, Kody Brown FB page [no longer Kody Brown Family] is up & running again & they are currently accepting tons of "New " friends....+ keep reposting Christine's loonnggg "invite" to their new recruits, I meant FB fans...How convenient since today is Kodys speaking debut.

    WAKE UP AMERICA & TLC
STOP BEING DECEIVED & USED BY THE BROWN FAMILY!!!!!!

  14. OMG there is a 'Kody Brown' fan page as well as the profile page. Some guy is on there wanting to set up a fund for people to donate so the browns can have their dream home and all live together. WHAT?? People in some countries don't have clean water but lets all band together so the Kodster doesn't have to walk far to screw a different wife every night. Much more important then children dying from starvation. WHERE DO THESE PEOPLE COME FROM???

  15. Here's a prime example of their hypocrisy:

From Kody Brown FB page: For security reasons they cannot accept friend requests on their personal FB accounts.
From Christine Brown FB post to Kody Brown wall:
Were looking for a team of heartfelt people who WOULD LIKE TO JOIN US to travel the world...(blah, blah, blah)...
Translation: We really don't want to accept ur friend request, although we WILL ACCEPT Visa, MC, Discover, Cash & Cashier's checks....oh & baby gifts & donations for our house fund....lol
C'mon really?? Even A-list celebrities interact w/ their FB fans. Their "fame " status is a joke!! (smh :/

  16. Those lo mein noodles Robyn was eating looked really good! Like I said, that girl can sure shove the food in!

Seriously though, was this the reason they took that trip to check out Harvard, MIT etc last month?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks for the facebook tip, I've been looking for it for a while and it was unavailable to me. I just looked at Christine's friends, and imagine that...Robyn is the only one not on that list.

  18. ***MOLE***

You're filled with a lot of hate. It'd radiates off your comments. I feel sorry for you.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh my goodness, thank you for my first giggle of the morning. I am sure your comment was intended as sincere but referring to yourself as a mole was just the best. Thank you for bringing your A game.

Please keep your sympathy to yourself bc I don't need it or want it! Not exactly sure what "comment(s) you're talking about since I've only posted ONCE!!
That's not hate ur hearing either...it's disgust & NO TOLERANCE for posers & pure evil preying on the weak & innocent, esp when it comes to $$!! Obviously I'm not the only one who feels this way, but I guess my post struck a nerve since it's a wake up call to all of the new recruits who could possibly fall victim to their scheme. Honestly if its informative enough to make people take a 2nd look & reconsider the Brown family then I'm way more humanitarian than they'll( Browns) ever be bc that's one less person who will be handing over their hard earned $$ to lazy, scam artists!
If U seriously think that all of their FB fans are
just all giddy & gushing with ass kissing comments, well Manda2, I really feel sorry for you bc that makes you more naive than KB 4 wives!!

Glad I could help make U smile. Almost just like a real humanitarian would...hehe :D

  22. yoyo..
any sect of the LDs religion (aub, flds etc) do nto believe that the man "pulls" the wife to heaven. consider this, just for asecond.. what happens if the wife dies first? does she sit and play kanasta with st. peter? doubt it. if i read this right they go to heaven and can remarry thier husband there

clock is ticking on this one...

  23. I believe everyone has a right to make a life for themselves. If our Government allows loop holes and they take advantage. Do. If you want to be married. Do. If you don't want to be married. Don't. But NEVER stand in the way of someone else's happiness if it in no way harms another. I think what drives so many haters of the Brown family is unhappiness in your own lives. I'd be jealous, too, if I was one woman with one man seeing 4 women with one man and 17 children living the American dream and I wasn't. But I suppose it's good for you too. Everyone needs an outlet for their pity party.

  24. Good Lord, so much to comment on, so 1 comment at a time.

I actually thought Danielle was a fan rather than an objective minister. I am not impressed. The Browns got a free pass there.

    ReplyDelete
  25. As I mentioned, 1 comment at a time.

Now, on to Manda2. Darling, to each his own is right. But what I see in the less-than-positive comments is righteous indignation rather than h8 (I don't like that word and won't speak or write it).

I don't believe in the "an' it harm none, do as thou wilt" philosophy of life because I think people use it to take advantage, abuse loopholes, privileges and rights, get off scott free and others pay the price for that. In that way I don't think there is an "an' it harm none". Apparently many posters agree with this sentiment.

People don't like to see "The State" taken advantage of (through the loopholes you mentioned) because they realize that "The State" is you and I, the taxpayer. When some people don't pay or do their fair share, others must cover by paying and doing more than their fair share. That is what so many people object to regarding the Browns. They appear to avoid paying and doing their fair share.

There is very little in this world that "in no way harms another." We must all deal with, and own up to, the consequences of our actions. Many commenters are righteously indignant that the Brown family seems to neither understand, nor own up to, the consequences of their actions.

Manda2, honey, if you don't understand now why some people feel as they to towards the Browns, no more explanation on my part will be sufficient. I respect that you like them. Please respect if others don't.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Terrasola, I respect your response because it lacks a hostile tone. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I have said this many times.
If you disagree with someone so be it.
YOU MAY NOT ATTACK SOMEONE ON THEIR COMMENTS. YOU MAY DISAGREE, BUT NOT ATTACK. That doesn't make anything better.
Manda2- please put your comments and thoughts on the Browns, not on another poster.

  28. I want to go back and love this family, I really do.

but I am sick of these little "chats" where they hint at religion, and they want their religious rights, but NEVER speak in what they believe....why?
because if they did, all these "followers" would drop like flies.

    I don't like whiners either.
Hell, they are living the good life, and complaining?

  30. here's a fact
Deut 25:5-6 If brothers live together, and one of them dies and has no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry outside to a stranger. Her husband's brother shall go in to her and take her as a wife for himself, and perform the duty of a husband's brother to her. And it shall be, the first-born whom she bears shall succeed in the name of his dead brother, so that his name may not be put out of Israel.

gee polygamy in the bible..whoda thunk?

    ReplyDelete
  31. from http://www.biblepolygamy.com/DavidBath.htm

When God sent Nathan the prophet to King David he was told that he had “despised the Word of Jehovah”.

2Sa 12:7 And Nathan said to David, You are the man! So says Jehovah, the God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.
2Sa 12:8 And I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if that was too little, I would have given to you such and such things besides.
2Sa 12:9 Why have you despised the Word of Jehovah, to do evil in His sight? You have stricken Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the sons of Ammon.

At no time had God declared it a sin to take another wife which David had already done before this incident with Bathsheba (1Sam.25:42-43). If Polygyny was a despising of the Word of the Lord then Nathan would have arrived on David's door long before this.

The three things David despised which the Law condemned very clearly were as follows, “you shall not covet” (Ex.20:17), "you shall not commit adultery" (Ex.10:14), and “you shall not kill” (Ex.20:13.

Please note, adultery is not taking another wife of your own, but someone else's wife.

David despised the Word of Jehovah by coveting and taking another man's wife and killing him into the bargain (2Sam.12:9). David was obliged to read the Law all the days of his life so he knew where he stood before God. (Deut.17:14-20).

Two statements by God are totally ignored by tradition. First God says to David that He gave David his master’s wives unto his bosom (2Sam.12:8). This is way beyond God permitting David to have more wives. Secondly, God says if David wanted for anything, including more wives, all he had to do was ask, further evidence that polygyny was approved by God.

God forgave but punished David, and Bathsheba became another wife after which David did not commit adultery with her because they became "one flesh" in marriage.

    disprove me

  32. Does anyone know which college Danielle comes from, or her last name? I want to write to her and fill her in on a few details!

  33. An Episcopalian minister once told me to be really careful when quoting the Old Testament to support any argument. He used a verse to support his point that said something about blessed are those who smash the babes of their enemies against the rocks (or something to that effect). I have never been able to find that verse so if someone knows it I would love to have its "coordinates".

Anyway, you get my point. Certain books were written for certain purposes at certain historical points in time that would not be appropriate in today's environment. Some people feel this applies to plural marriage, or commandments to abstain from this or that food, or to be aggressive towards / shun certain folks.

Nuff said. I prefer environments that empower people, where we can be friends and see people reach their full potential. Lord knows this world needs all the help it can get.
