    2. Love this blog...Kody stooped to an all time low on Sunday's interview. I just have to vent...
I think Kody should pursue an endorsement from Viagra. Here's a glimpse at my thoughts..

Background: Kody sitting in the hot tub with a loin cloth on. (Yes, I know gross, awful..image..try and get past it and stick with me).

Kody: “It's not easy being a star you know. (Kody flips back the few strands of hair that he has left). As you know, I don't talk about sex, but I had a spiritual awaking and I felt compelled to share it with you. The physical, mental and financial burdens of having four wives can reek havoc in the bedroom. Especially with the wives that I'm well.....grossed out by..(cough, cough) I mean not physically attracted to. That's why I count on Viagra. It's the essential tool that all tools like me use".

(Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn enter and look lovingly at Kody. All in unison...”Viagra that magic pill that keeps any polygamist marriage happy and healthy.”

      Thanks..I feel so much better....:)

It's anonymous 5;32.. I almost peed my pants reading your post.. Loved the comment “The perfect tool to get your tool's tool ready to go..LMAO.... I wonder if a natural male enhancement supplement is really their secret plan behind the energy drink. I love the idea behind an infomercial.. It's nice people like you and I are thinking of valid business ideas for this family. LOL

No seriously, a stand up comedian would get so much material from this web site. I'd love to see a comedian have a nightly gig about this family in Las Vegas. I'm sure it would be a hit....Thanks to the people who came up with the blog and the many funny contributors who take the time to write. Love the names for Kody especially Grody and Kodouche. Thanks for making me laugh this week..

    1. Thank you. I hate to even to admit to watching these people, but it has become like an addiction to a train wreck, and it sure takes my mine off true reality. Did anyone notice that before Christine completely shut down and rightfully so, she answered all questions about her with, Ohhh, I knoooww, wasn't that mean! It was a very manipulative way of not having to answer. I did think what he did to her was bad, but her little visit to Robyn to compare their children's weight (just because she thought it was funny) and that lunch where she would talk to Robchin by making a remark and just stare at her in a very sinister way I guess waiting on a response to a non question was just strange. Is she really that dumb or maybe she plays the game well too! I just can't tell. Husband keeps saying it is a reality show!!! It is fake, but I don't think they are smart enough to fake a lot of this, at least not convincingly.

I get so mad reading about this moron saying I DESERVE. F&@K U Kody I never said I deserve even after my cancer journey. How many people go through horrible things or do great things and you don't hear them say I deserve.

    8. Humor helped me through chemo and now the follow up surgeries so I'm glad you've found this site to make you laugh!!! I really think a sense of humor is important in any serious illness or situation. Positive thoughts for you as you fight, keep it up!

My cancer is another reason why the Browns bother me so much. Ditto Beemom and everyone else!!!

But, they provide me with so much entertainment. I agree with the posters that believe Janelle took the first child/first son from Meri and that is why Meri snapped, "I'm sorry I took something that you felt was yours." Janelle, are there scars on your tongue from biting it all of the time? I sincerely hope she is planning her free life and how to get that life without doing any more damage to her self-esteem or to her kids.

TY again to CJ and all who put up this blog!

  5. Someone asked about polygamy in other cultures a few threads back. I'm friends with a man who managed a horse farm in KY for a Saudi male royal family member (can't remember if he was a King or a Prince, or a cousin to a King). Rich males can have up to 4 wives. My friend said the men usually spend their 20's sort of being playboys, marry first wife in 30's, second in 40's, third in 50's, ect. That way they always have a 20 year old wife. I don't know any of this first hand, but my friend who told me this worked for the family for years. The man had a picture above his bed, a painting of his wife--the painting would be changed based on which wife was visiting him. These wives lived separately, certainly not sister wives and had plenty of $$$.

    1. I live in KY, and I know a family who works for a horse farm owned by a Saudi male. I wonder if it's the same horse farm :) I think the key element here is that they can afford them. They only get wives if they can support them. Kody thinks that because he has 4 wives, he deserves a better and more expensive lifestyle. He wants his reward on earth instead of his heavenly planet. I watched something on the Discover channel (I think) about polyandry, when a woman has more than one husband, that is mainly practiced in Tibet. It was mainly used because "By not allowing land to be split between brothers, Tibetan families retained farms sufficiently large to continue supporting their family."(Wikipedia) So, again, polygamy is used in a way so that everyone was financially stable. Not so that they would go bankrupt.

    2. I married a guy that had worked in Saudi Arabia, although raised in the South US. He was the meanest man I ever met, AFTER we married.
Before, he used his southern charm. After 20 yrs of working with them, he thought he was a Prince himself, and told stories of how they treat women like crap, and then did it himself. Thing is, they treat the woman as sub human.

      Delete
    3. That is not really true. Christine and Janelle were super fat when he married them. Janelle was probably about 40 pounds smaller than now, though; Christine was probably at least 30 -40 pounds heavier than she is now, even after half a dozen kids.

    1. Homemade jammies! You know the idea is a nice one and actually resourceful since I'm sure that it is cheaper than buying all the kids new pj's so I do give them props for that.

But Meri has about 3 patterns and all the kids have to use them. I mean the boys and the girls have these sleep shirts (not good), the pajamas pants aren't bad, but some of the fabric used is awful.

It's AMAZING to me that these people want to design clothes for their store! They are fashion "DON'TS" all the time. I've never in my life seen people wear a long sleeved shirt with a baby doll on top - bright yellow no less that gets passed around. They've gotten their money out of that item for sure. It's almost as bad as the long prairie dresses.

  7. To all you who think that Robyn is pregnant, I have a theory.
Remember in a previous episode when they were talking about how Kody liked "curvy" women? If you look back at old pictures, you will notice that all of the wives got "curvier" after they were married to Kody. I think it might just be the affect that Kody has on women. I think Robyn has just fallen under his shadow and is starting to look like all his other wives. :)

  9. Just wanted to comment on Meri. I think she is terrified. She is pretty close to ending up in a MIL suite in Robin's house, with Robin's kids jumping on all her pretty things, or worse having to split up and share her furniture with Janelle, Christine and Wife No5.

Mariah will be third wife to a 40 year old man in Utah before she turns 20. Once the money problems hit again, Meri's house will be the first up for sale. Or if the 5th has her own income, maybe she will want Meri's house. All possibilities. Someone used the phrase "put out to pasture" in an earlier thread. Word!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'm pretty sure Mariah has been groomed by Mother Meri to be First Wife. don't see her being happy in third position. She's too short-fused and bossy like her momma to settle for anything less than coveted first position.

      Delete
    2. The most logical thing IS for Meri to be in a MIL suite in someone's house and since she LOVES Robyn - go for it. Mariah will be gone and Meri cannot really think that a 7 bedroom house is legitimate for her. I mean if they were millionaires and money was no option - hey, go for it, but Janelle was talking about struggling to feed her kids.

Everything I needed to know about Meri I learned in the Tell All when Janelle told her that she was struggling to feed her kids and Meri was insisting on a larger house with a pool. All Meri said was something really passive aggressive like, "I'm sorry I took something that YOU felt was YOURS." Seriously Meri? That's all you can say. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT FEEDING KIDS and these kids are supposed to be like your own - shaking head.

      Delete
    3. Oh I agree that it is logical and practical for Meri to be in a MIL suite in Robyn's house--but then she loses all her power and status. That's what it's about for her, it's all she has. She doesn't really have a husband's love, not when he is with 1,2,3 or 4 others. She isn't really a "soulmate" and deep down she knows it. And no, she's not worried about Janelle's kids or Christine's.

Christine was trying to be practical in the house discussion--not wanting to be in a situation where they had huge houses, but couldn't afford gas to visit her Dad. Kody shot her down. I think her "grocery money" savings might mean food stamps, again.

Mariah may want to be first wife, but I just don't see her with a boy her own age. I think she will marry older man and have babies right away.

  14. What were the Browns thinking when they wrote this book? If they had really wanted the public to believe that their ‘lifestyle’ is so great and everyone is so happy, they probably should have read the book as a group and decided if they really wanted to be honest. The book flies in the face of everything they have been telling us. I am glad that the Natalie Morales special generated a spike in book sales. Even though the book sales benefit the Browns, it will also help people to understand what the real dangers are in polygamy – emotional abuse, depression and the lack of a father figure for the (too many) kids.
I have read several books on polygamy. Flora and Carolyn Jessop’s books, Irene Spencer and Susan Ray Schmidt. I’ve said it before….if you read Irene Spencer’s book, Shattered Dreams, you will be grateful that you have a real bed to sleep in and don’t have to grind your own wheat to feed your many children.
These books tell the reality of polygamy and the many disadvantages. And honestly, the show SisterWives now does as well. They “hid” the problems for a little while when the show first started. I think many of us believed ‘well, live and let live, no harm done here, the family seems happy’. But do any of us think that anymore? We are seeing the same behavioral patterns by Kody that we read about in these books about the husbands who become power hungry and need more and more wives to secure their celestial kingdom. The authors I mention above paint a stark picture of polygamist life with emotional and physical abuse and abject poverty. The first wife is the one with the power and typically takes it out on the sister wives and their sister wives’ children (Meri being ‘meaner’ to Christine and Janelle’s kids than her own perfect Mariah), the first wives get the traveling privileges (Mexico, Skiing, frequent road trips to Utah as we have seen tweeted about). Usually the first wife does have more kids but also often leaves them behind with the other wives so she can be her man’s traveling companion. The other wives are merely added to the mix to provide more children for the man’s kingdom and to get more financial aid from the government (the bleeding the beast concept) . The women generally do not get along as there is constant competition to get the husband’s time and attention. As the women age and are unable to have more children, more wives get added to the mix. The man becomes consumed with power and having as many ‘souls’ as he can for his kingdom (meaning more and younger wives). Often, the man is so busy with his “spiritual” work and studies (i.e. looking for wives, business ventures that never quite take off, etc) that the husband often does not have a paying job. So that is left up to the sister wives. So they get the privilege of birthing as many babies as they can (male, preferably) and then they get to work to support ‘their’ kids as well. And as the number of wives grow and as they age, the sister wives get less and less attention and are generally ‘put out to pasture’.
So, other than not YET marrying teenaged girls, how is the Brown really all that different than all those other ‘evil’ polygamists that they keep trying to prove they are not? Seems like they are basically the same, just a little more ‘modern’ and maybe not quite so creepy (but creepy enough).

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yep - as i've said before myself - FIRST WIFE bitch power overrides all other wives' bitch power combined. Meri has proven that one time and time again. If FIRST WIFE ain't happy then ain't nobody happy.

      Delete
    2. Hey CPA Carol, I totally agree with you! I've read the same books and have thought all along that the Browns are just like those other polygamous families. Robin was married to a Jessop and lived in that small town close to "The Crik" that has been featured on other documentaries. Then she moves to Lehi close to the Browns. Christine is an Allred, that name pops up alot in those books as well. How do we really know how old Meri or Christine really were when they married? Just because they said so?

      Delete
    3. I just finished the book too. I can't believe I used to feel sorry for Meri. She is a horrible person. It is all about her in her mind. My sympathies totally lie with Janelle. The way Kody and Meri treated her when she was brought into the family made me cringe as I was reading about it. They were basically spoiled babies who didn't want to work, and Janelle was a hard worker who would pay their way. They would leave her at home to work while they went away together on road trips. After reading those sections of the book, I can't believe that Janelle can say 1 civil sentence to Meri. Meri is the worst type of woman. It's all about what they can do for her. She acts like a spoiled, entitled child.

  15. Hi, I've been posting as A4Eliz, now on with my regular account. Run Logan Run Logan! It's not too late. After all the talk about respecting their childrens choice Krody and the gang got all the kids to gang up on him. Of course the little girls don't want him to go, he's more of a Dad to them. than Krody. As usual Madison showed the most sense, she loves her brother and wants him to be happy. I was amazed that Krody actually admitted not spending enough time with Logan. Parents are not giving children a "gift" by putting a roof over their head. That's what they're supposed to do. I've always liked Mary but she lost me with insisting on having a big empty house. So much for being a family, she just is looking out for herself. If she wanted them to be a family they could divide homes. If the wives don't mind Krody sleeping with 4 women they shouldn't mind sharing a house, they can fix it to have more privacy. They really are living like divorced families right now. I can't believe they were talking about sacrificing vacations to get a house!? how could they be serious. Most people can't afford vacations at all.

  16. Have been reading this site for awhile and have learned so much I finally decided to post. I think that Kody likes his wifes "curvy" because it keeps thier self esteem low. He would be furious if Janelle or Christine lost weight because they are already the prettier ones (in my opinion)and then they would have some self-esteem and maybe feel good about themselves for a change. I also get coldsores from time to time esp. if I am out in the sun for a long time with lip balm with a sun screen in it. It is easy to prevent one if you take some precautions.

    1. Agreed. I am not ripping on them for their weight, but could you imagine Janelle and Christine slimming down? Some good hair and make up and cute clothes and they'd be turning heads all over the place. I can just picture Kody's evil death stare at any man (or woman!) who dared looks his wives up and down. That would NOT go well for the wives. Like you said, it's better to have their self-esteem down for him. Very sad.

    2. While Klody doesn't particularly care about his wives and their (emotional) wellbeing and doesn't really love them (Klody mainly loves Klody) he IS very very jealous and controlling.

So imagine one of his wives being slim and looking good and walking through the supermarket, for him that must be a nono! Or them being super sexy swiping that food stamp card... so for him it's a win win situation.

The expressions and the way they act etc .....way to go kody and that crazy run..........the super too small clothes. The pictures are priceless :)) Things look like they are falling apart fast. The State of Nevada should look into mental health and fraud issues. Meri and her Kodster have guns, remember. This is a very warped version of a warped "religious" principle. I am seriously worried what this is doing to their kids and fans.
Agree with earlier post re: find the realtor of these properties and give a call of interest. If we only knew what the book is pulling in, and their TLC wages. The next show will be all about Logan, Hunter and the older. Can't you see it. "Growing up a Brown", or Growing up a Plyd ". And I think Kody was really worried Logan was going to leave and take the cameras and the paycheques with him. And if all the kids are on the show do they get a cut.
I think Kody and Meri financially, verbally and emotionally abuse Janelle, Christine and now Robyn. Don't get me started with the kids.

  23. First I must say that I have become completely addicted to this blog!! love reading all of the smart, witty, and downright hysterical comments y'all post!!

Now...this whole Brown family disaster reminds me of an old joke about a woman who married 4 different husbands throughout the course of her lifetime...the first was a banker, the second an entertainer, the third a pastor, and the fourth an undertaker. When asked about it, she said, "I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go."

I gotta say that joke is all I can think about as it relates to Kody. He married:
One for the money (Janelle - the only one who seems to have a job),
Two for the show (Robin - the bedroom & "skinny" wife),
Three to get ready (Christine - with her religious ties, to secure his standing in the celestial kingdom),
And Four to go (Meri - the traveling-all-the-time-while-the-other-three-feed-their-kids-scraps wife).

  24. The Brown's 'Book' does not even come close to telling the 'truth'. These people only 'told' what they wanted to, but are leaving out every and anything that could be interpretated wrong (in their eyes). I'd like to hear more about the 'slamming doors' that Hunter spoke about (or was it Logan). I'd like to hear more about the cattiness that absolutely has/does go on between the wives. The 'wives' inner thoughts would fill 100 books. What we have in 'the book' is watered down garbage.

PLEASE people, to buy their books and jewelry ONLY affirms to these crazy people that their 'way' is good and right. Watching the show gives them confidence in thinking that they are accepted. Grody thinks he is a STAR, a KING, and the leader of the pack. Yes, Grody, you are the leader of the pack; a pack of female wolves that are circling you, waiting to devour your sorry ass. Yes, it is definitely a train wreck to watch, but all it does is put money in their pockets so Grody can buy his cars, fake rolex's, and all that HAIR GOO! He's not taking care of his responsibilites towards his children with the money, and THAT makes my blood boil! BOYCOTT this insanity, please, please.

  28. I have to admit I love watching this show.I record it sunday nights and watch it monday morning, while walking on my treadmill. I think they are basically a very nice family. Kody and his wives seem like very nice people. The children are all well brought up and have good manners.I would not want this life style, but they seem to make it work.
I am puzzled to where the money comes from? They all have fairly new cars and new homes. They have very nice furniture?? They do not go without too much ....even go on trips ... in this economy too?? With that large family it would seem impossible to me. We are 2 middle age, with my husband working full time for over 30 plus years. I even worked at one time and we raised 2 chikdren and sent them to college. He brings home a good income, but we have to live within our means all the times still. What does Kody do for work? This show must pay them a big check to do what they do. Otherwise it has to be some government asssitance, since there are 3 single moms not legally married and all those kids? I'm not trying to be mean, but it cost tons to raise even a small family today. Many of the family members could lose weight. Kody seems to be the only real thin one among adults ( Robyn still has baby weight to lose and I understand that, but some of the children seem like they could lose a little too. I know the moms were working out with a trainer , and I applaud them, because it is hard-- I yell at my treadmill daily! I wish I could afford a trainer!!
I like the show and I haven't read the book. I have read many bad comments about it, making the show fake. I saw the show thru different eyes until I heard these commnets, so tell me they are not fake. I hope not.

Also what do they do for health insurance and dental for the whole group?

  31. I couldn't post this before...

I don't think that we're criticizing the life style. EVERYBODY is entitle to live their lives however they please. That is if you choose to be in a homosexual marriage, have 20 kids, be in an open marriage, or be in a polygamist marriage.

I think what most of us are so upset about is how this guy is running free of responsibilities milking TLC to pay for the luxurious life he wants to live. He is not entitle to that just for being a polygamist.
Also the lack of respect he often shows towards some wives on national TV and the indifference towards the children.
If you're going to be on a reality TV show be ready for the criticism when you don't have your act together and when you're preaching something totally different than what you're living.

    1. I agree with you, Beemom, but would add that they have also milked the taxpayer. Their harebrained schemes are so absurd, and are also probably at someone else's expense to one degree or another.

I confess, I DO criticize the lifestyle, because every book, article, or television show I've seen on the subject shows the exact same abuses as I see with this train wreck. There always seems to be a counterpart to Her Ugliness, Queen Bitch Meri, who contributes nothing but is the chief power whore. The men, on one level or another, are always in love with themselves above all else.

For the most part, I don't care how people choose to live as long as they aren't hurting anyone and are responsible for their families. It's obvious that there's plenty of hurt and no responsibility that I can see. The kids admit they can't depend on their father's word, and I'd bet my house that they are correct in expecting the plans for houses to be another pipe dream. Janelle has actually been successful in the past, but the man-whore shelves her ideas in favor of Robyn's plan to hawk hideous jewelry. Yep, plenty of hurt.

Also, them "fleeing" in the night drama claiming persecution, & then having the nerve to sue the govt, making false claims, that their family was "forced" to move to LV, lost job,& that the family lives in daily fear, etc....All the while, Tweeting away & doing interviews, that how they just love Vegas & they always wanted to move there, & letting the world know how happy they are, life is good, etc...Lies, lies, lies, are what they all put down in the affadavits! I really believe K,M,R and even J look at this show as just making money. Christine...not so sure about. She has a strange look in her eyes. Also noticed when R uses a phrase like "that rocks" Christine picks up and starts using it immediately. I thought she was the one with the hesitations about going public, but she never misses a chance to "be heard". I think these other characters fit right in with the Gypsy show that comes on before them, but Christine just bothers me. Maybe again it is lack of education or maybe lack of social skills. Am I the only one that has noticed this?

    1. Christine does have a lack of social skills, and I'm sure it is from being raised in a compound like atmosphere. I don't think Christine is in it for the money. I think she is in it because she wanted America to legally and morally accept their lifestyle. It probably would have won her big kudos in the church to pull that off and since she is AUB Royalty, that is a big deal to her. Not going to happen though.

I wonder how the people who purchased the other expensive lots/homes on the same street in the development where they want to live will feel when they see the Kootie Monster strutting his stuff between the houses. I would think that the other people living there would not be happy with camera crews hanging around. Meri needs that big house to have enough room for her huge ego and flipped out hair. I'd love to see Christine and Janelle work together at weight loss, build their self-esteem and find loving husbands. I guess that's what bothers me the most, is that these women don't realize that they don't have to live like this.

  43. CPA Carol -

I also read Susan Schmidt and Irene Spencer's books, and I would encourage anyone who is curious about the religious motivations behind polygamy to read them, too. The first several chapters of Susan's book provide a really good glimpse into the mindset of the younger girls who enter into polygamy seemingly of their own free will. Irene's book gives a great summary of the doctrines of "The Principle," and why women in polygamist marriages honestly believe there is no escape if they want any hope of heaven in the afterlife. Both books portray the grinding relentless poverty. In one particularly poignant scene, Susan was forced to sell the only halfway nice possession she'd ever owned - a guitar given to her by her parents before her marriage - to her husband's newer and much wealthier wife, just to get money in order to take her baby to the doctor because of prolonged digestion problems brought about by their terrible food limitations.

It's almost guaranteed that polygamy leads to poverty. I think that helps to explain why the Browns were willing to put their lives out there for that TLC paycheck...and why they will probably be sorely tempted to keep drumming up the drama to keep the money flowing.

  46. I'd like the show to stay on awhile so we can see what happens to Mariah. If she graduates next year I expect she will go back to Utah or some other AUB place to go to "college." Since she wants polygamy I'm sure Meri wants her to be a first wife so she will get married very young. She needs to find a husband after high school graduation. I don't see any college degree, let alone an MD, is she chooses polygamy.

  47. I haven't been here in a while but I just wanted to say a few things.

They haven't gotten ANY houses. Or if they have, they haven't closed on any yet. I saw Kody's car at Jenelle's rental house not too long ago and I also saw Meri's car in front of her rental house about a week ago. So they haven't done s***.

Also, it makes complete sense for Logan to choose UNLV over SUU, regardless of the show. He would get judged like crazy at SUU. While at UNLV, no one cares about anything. I would walk into my classes with a mug full of coffee and Bailey's, sweats with rips in them, and I still came out making friends (I'm pathetic, I know). That is really the only aspect I love about UNLV: roll out of bed, go to class. Sure, some dress up but that usually ends quickly. I remember trading stories with other students about how crazy our families are, so he would be fine. The only thing is that drinking is big. I don't see him avoiding alcohol completely if he tries to get social or join a frat or something. I'm sure he can find a Mormon group or something similar but he will have to watch who he hangs around with. The frats and sororities are awesome and they do charitable things, but they also like to have a good time, if you know what I mean (be dump bump ch).

Anyway, to sum this up, my theory is that the whole family spews a bunch of BS lies. You mean to tell me that with all off those kids, they're all perfect and have never done anything but be perfect? Please. Also, religion baffles me. I don't understand how this family can do everything "for god" and yet screw people over like they have and think it's OK. They spent beyond their means and declared bankruptcy not once, but three times! Companies suffer from that. I am not bashing bankruptcy at all, but three times, come on. I cannot wait until the secrets start coming out and that is the only reason I continue to watch.

    1. Hi Britt- you said a mouthful. Logan will be more easily accepted at UNLV and hopefully have a wonderful college experience. Everything the Browns say is contradicted in the next sentence. The adding of wives is a testimony from God, no, it's a buzz, no, I'm not adding any more wives. These are all examples of how each wife was added, or how the question was answered. If Janelle really had her license, why isn't she brokering the deals? Why are they paying Mona the comissions?

Then Mariah tried curling it with a flat iron (?!) for Meri's 20th anniversary date with Kody and that was a disaster.

  52. I think Meri lurks on these message boards...as much as she would deny it, I would bet my hubbys pay check she is lurking...she cant help herself...she is also obsessed with Kody. Remember, growing up she was pretty withdrawn, a wall flower...dare I even say a "social misfit"? In their book she admits that for all the years she went to church no one knew or noticed her until she hooked up with Kody...

She cant help but lurk because she has zero sense of self...I think she's selfish and greedy but doesnt see herself that way...so she is drawn to read our comments...I think the reason why Kody seems more distant to Robyn this season is Meri has given him hell for it...she realizes everyone can see Kody favoring Robyn and has protested along with demanding he be fair to her! Notice how she is the first to point out injustice to her, yet she feels justified that her and Kody have kept secrets from Janelle and Christine...ie: the interest in Robyn.

As for Christine, if you remember back to her lunch date with Robyn she talks about her discussion with Kody and how she questioned his where abouts and Kody was getting really turned off by her jealousy and stopped seeing her...I say stopped seeing her because she gives an example of how she doesnt like to be around her kids either when they are in bad moods...or something to that effect...so it leads me to believe that Kody said that to her during her jealousy talks...I thought about this and wondered if Christine would sort of drive by Robyn's house to see if Kody was there when he should have been with her...and that fueled her jealousy more...leading to more interigating (sp) him and he punishing her for her having the nerve for confronting him...I wonder if she even asked one of her kids to go to Robyn's to "visit" and let her know what they are doing and saying...this is all speculation on my part...but seeing her personality I can so see her doing this...

Robyn started feeling Kody pull away from her due to Meri beating up Kody for favoring Robyn so Robyn starts doing drop in unannounced visits, kids in tow...at first Meri is like, "whatever" but that got old quick and Meri started pulling tudes with Robyn so she would stop the drive bys...

Notice none of them are really getting along...and funny how Janelle describes her relationship with Meri a work in progress, or words to that effect and the funny part is they have been a family for like a million years now...

Now I think I've figured out their interesting dress code...remember how they decided that when in a group together the ladies and Kody would act totally platonic so that it doesnt further invoke jealousy. I think part of this agreement was a dress code that wouldnt tickle Kodys wiles...these women arent to swift and so this mish mash of clothing makes sense to them apparently...notice when they are alone with him they are more willing to show skin, ie: Meri's boobies exposed in Mexico verses her sporting a tshirt in the pool with the family...

And if anyone were to leave Kody it would be Janelle and or Robyn...

Meri has a death grip on Kody's balls

    2. I TOTALLY agree that Meri stalks these boards - probably Mariah does too.

And yes, death grip for sure, but I'm bewildered as to why - because she's the legal wife? First Love? True Love? Brings Kody new women? No idea but for some reason Kody will defend her and seems to see things her way. That Tell All Interview really showcased that.

    3. I think all of the adults stalk SWB, esp Robyn & Meri, & most of the older teens. Christine probably does too, bcuz she knows that most of us on here says what she's really thinking & wishes she could say to the others...lol

  53. Another one I found - On June 24th, 2012 Christine tweeted "Just so you know, Kody has bought nachos for me, AND we have eaten them together!"

Really, you should have shoved them down his throat and then kicked him in the shin all whilst pulling his girly hair. What's wrong with this picture?

Honestly, if my husband went on national TV and wrote in a book that he wasn't physcially attracted to me - or wait sorry, not physically attracted was an "understatement", I'd have to do some SERIOUS rethinking of my marriage. I mean yeah, he can say that was a long time ago, but really, Christine is probably just as overweight as she was then so I can't imagine that he finds her "hot".

I mean marriage should be like a safe haven, like your home. Something that makes you feel better about yourself, your own personal cheerleader who thinks you are wonderful even your makeup isn't done and you have a stain on your blouse. And you do the same for them.

What Kody did was emotional abuse, on national tv, in a book and compounded by the fact that he has other wives that he really flaunts about how much they "please" him - Robyn.

The whole thing is just sick and I really hope that none of the kids follow in their parent's footsteps. I really hoped that Christine would leave. As Dolly Parton said in Straight Talk, "Sometimes you just have to grab your bowling bag and get the hell out of there." Yes, I'm from the South. LOL

  54. Is it just me or do you find it interesting the that only people who had checkbooks or wrote checks for the homes were the wives? Does Kody even have a checkbook? Is he that lazy that he couldn't even write a check, even if the homes are to be in the wives' names?

The real head scratcher for me about these homes is that they all sit there and whine about "wanting the kids under one roof" yet they go ahead with trying to buy four. If they are buying lots to build homes on, it would seem they could buy lots and have an architect design them one big house with four suites. Or is that rocket science?

I enjoyed the show originally but this now smells of that expression "jumping the shark" and they are now nothing more than an infomercial to get freebies a la Jon & Kate. How many families [whoops scratch that, parents minus kids] really get to go on all these trips or ride helicopters on "date nights" unless the company is giving it for free air time to a national audience. They can't cry poor mouth and then do all those activities on their own dime.

Just like when Jon & Kate got slammed on those freebies as their show and marriage fell apart: are the Browns claiming all these "gifts" on their income taxes? We know the answer but they should...or at least the IRS should look into this one too.

But of course, that's a lie. This whole show is a lie and a poorly executed one at that. It's crystal clear that these women don't like each other and avoid each other most of the time. They've lived the "poor" lifestyle - whilst bleeding the beast err taxpayers and struggling through the periods between bankruptcies - and have found that by playing nice, they get to live in better homes, free trips etc.. Also they've probably realized that they cannot continue to file bankruptcies every 10 years, even by craftily spacing them out one wife at a time. Someone's going to wise up eventually and put an end to it once and for all. So for now and while the sun's shining they'll try to play nice and only reveal the claws for increased dramatic purposes or on occasion, accidentally. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain...

Is anyone else getting tired of seeing Meri's increasingly fanned-out, blonde hair?"

OMG YES!!! It's starting to remind me when Kate (Jon and Kate plus 8) starting sporting that really aggressive hair style...remember with the back hair standing straight up in the air....lol

  56. I am not being mean. I am a plus size woman myself, but Janelle is much larger than then they were in Utah. That saddens me that she was so UP about working out, and now is larger.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Janelle is delusional about her weight loss. She's a good hundred pounds overweight. She is obese. Obese people don't note all the huge differences in their activity and energy levels like she expounded upon on just a 10 lb weight loss. Sadly, too, in all the months she spent supposedly working out to just get that much weight off, she could easily gain it back in a week by skipping a whole week of exercise and just sitting around eating. Easily.

      Delete
    2. People that overweight, with a good diet and daily excersize can loose a LOT of weight in a few months, if you ever watch the biggest loser you'll know. Obviously just by your own means it will be less than the people on the show, but half of what they do on the show is totally possible!
There has to be DEDICATION and DETERMINATION... to do it every single day and don't slip. Watching WHAT and HOW MUCH she eats, drinking a lot of water (some diet soda is OK) and excersize.

      Delete
    3. LookingforLaughterJune 27, 2012 at 11:27 PM

It is also harder to lose it when you eat out a lot, and they certianly seem to do that! Plus recipes with all that sugar and mock tuna casserole (not sure why you would use fake tuna I thought canned tuna was something you would use to mock something else)! But I've noticed the eating habits and eating their normal meal and switching from soda to water is not going to help a lot with weight loss. She needs a diet to go along with that gym!!!

  57. If the Browns make 50,000 an episode ( that is just a figure I found on the internet) and film 12 a year. That is 600,000 a year. Most of us can't imagine makine that kind of money but most of us would pay off our homes we already have and remodel. So can you imagine what they could do with the house in Utah? I love Janelle and Christine maybe they should take thier money and kids and move back, lose weight and write a tell all.

    1. If I were Christine, I'd be gone.

Funny thing is that IF these women actually came together, like I don't know, Strong Women or something like that, they could run the show and shut down "Kody With A Permanent Case of The Hots". THAT'S what they should all do and get the heck out. He should legally only get 1/5 of the money and guess what - he can pay child support with that!

They actually do have a lot of power, they just don't realize it.

      Delete
    2. Kristie, if you go back through the threads, it's been stated that they don't make anywhere near that. Someone said that they took a real low deal just to get some money and be on the show. I can't remember the amount, but it's been widely reported that it's nowhere near that amount.

WHAT did Christine criticize Meri about her parenting?
WHY don't they ever ask Chistine who's her closest sister wife, or Janelle?
Kody, we get it, MERI'S CRITICAL.
Christine raised and homeschooled Mariah for Meri. So much for gratefulness.
Anyone catch where Kody said Christine did something with the Bacon?
THEN he said teh producers wouldn't let him use a word. Interesting. The knew the questions.

    1. He said Christine "saved their bacon", which is to say she brought a fun, lightheartedness to the family at a time when Meri and Janelle were about to kill each other. He said he wanted to say she saved their @$&! but the editors wouldn't let him say that.

  59. I have found the perfect 5th wife for Kody. I read People magazine's excerpt from
Rielle Hunter's new book, and I think she and Kody were separated at birth. I don't think I have ever been so angry, after reading something. Elizabeth Edwards isn't even here to defend herself. This could be a real feather in Kody's cap. Marrying the woman who had an affair with the would be president.

    1. OMG, this is so funny! Kody and Rielle. Really, they belong together. I will not be buying that idiot's book. I'd buy cases of the Sister Wives book and give them out for the holidays before I'd buy just one of Ms. Hunter's tell-all. Wow ... Rielle is more of a marvel (in the bad sorta way) then the polygamous nightmare on TLC. Not good Ms. Hunter. Not good.

    2. Catriona, I get People every week, and after reading it, I about fell out of my chair. I guess since the Edwards trial is over, it's convenient her book is now out. She also claims they are still a couple. It disgusted me. Apparently I wasn't the only one because when I went on to the People website, EVERYONE who posted to it was horrified by her. Her blase' attitude and sense of entitlement was sickening!

  71. I wonder what would happen if Robyn started doing charity work.

She could start visiting Aids kids, be a spokesperson for Aspbergers kids, speak out about the horror of landmines.

I think she has the same kind of pathos that Princess Diana had, and she projects her emotions similarly.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of Robyn, I don't think she is particularly bright, and I think she plays the passive aggressive game along with the others. I also think she has mild Aspbergers.

However, in all fairness, I have to admit that she seems to have the qualities that could bring her big fame, media attention, and actual adulation if she were to use her celebrity for charitable causes in the public eye.

I think, like Diana, she would eventually have to escape the "family" that appears to control everything she does and demand that she fall in line to support the public image of the group. But like Princess Di, she could and should start this outreach now so that she can start the ball rolling.

She just needs to take the opportunity to say she wants to do charity work when the cameras are rolling. Sure Kody would freak, but that is a small price to pay for a ticket off the merry go round.

    1. The MSWC facebook page is post, after post of their fans apologizing that they're gonna have to save up to buy it, but that they are thrilled at the prospect, and "know" it is reasonably priced for "real jewelry". So shameful to grift these idiots out of their "finite" resources. Then they taunt them at the prospect of designing their t-shirt line "for the fans". All the while, taking advantage of the "mid season finale bump" to hook more saps into supporting the pyramid. I'd like to make a joke out of this, but I just find it so shameful. It sickens me, really.

Have these people buying this crap never bought any kind of non-plastic jewelry? How can they be so ignorant to think that this is what silver costs? I would never buy silver jewelry to begin with. I have to admit, I am a bit of a jewelry snob (my [small] jewelry collection was all part of my dowry, so it's all 21K gold), but even for those who generally wear sterling silver, this stuff is ridiculously expensive!

  73. Posted by one of the sheeple(name omitted to protect the innocent/stupid) over on the FB page I swore off--OK, I just took one more peek: :D

"I have always thought that this family deserves to be under 1 roof. The Vegas housing market is not all that great so I would have thought that they could have found a lot to build their own custom house like they had in Utah or find a large Adult Family Home that has several different areas in which each wife could remodel to match their style.

There are over 150,000 people on Facebook alone that love Sister Wives. I wish someone could put something together to where those people who can/want to, could donate to the Brown Housing Fund. I would donate $5 towards it if it could get them under one roof again!!! Anyone up for that challenge???"

Also I know the show pays well, but how do they afford those brand new homes when some of the wives are on food stamps. Does this dude work or what.
