In 2011, the Sister Wives Blog started out as a place to talk about the TLC reality show "Sister Wives", Kody Brown and his wives Christine, Robyn, Meri and Janelle. Today we not only discuss the show, we discuss Polygamy in our society, and the public perceptions of the Mormon Religion. We discuss "Polygamy USA" and will be covering "My 5 Wives."
This blog is geared towards the adult reader, so please, no one under the age of 18 years. Thank you!

'Sister Wives' Season 3 coming in Sept. - Review of preview video
I was wondering if a season 3 would even happen after they had to move from Utah. I wish they would build a house for all 4 to live together again. I know I am crazy. But, if you are going to do this then do it right.
I want to get deeper into their lives. I mean. I would not make another pregnant if one was in labor. I wonder what his thoughts are on the subject. I would like to know.
I mean how sensitive is he to the needs of those wives? No pun intended. I am serious.
If I could I would love to get to know them personally.
But I live half way across the world from them or I might make a try of it.
Anyone ever finds out a way let me know ok. God Willing.
Ok I will link you to my facebook as I like your page. Maybe someone will take interest as I am.
Americanmuslimah, I link all the postings. Just put the link into the spot, and invite them to come over. We agree totally with you! If your gonna do it, why not do it like the guy in the post about the big house (it's in the top 10 below) To us, they aren't happy, or they would be in one big house, and the producers are mad at them for it. Also, GREAT POINT! Marrying one, while one is 7 months pregnant, kissing her while the others in Labor? Not nice. Your right on point, all away around the world!LOL
Could someone please explain to me the "Brown family dress policy?" I do find it funny that the wives are always layering clothes while yet the children seem to be dressed as any normal teenager would be. Mainstream mormons (outside of the secret undergarments which would be an excellent discussion on its own) have no real dress code to my knowledge, having worked with several in a professional setting. However, does this dress code have something to do with the FLDS?
Andrea - there's a great Post in the July section called Mormon Underwear, check it out! It explains it all. I don't know why all the layering. It's silly to do that, then layer with a string top, or one cut down to the boobie area. Like a reverse attraction!
I know - they do have the curiosity up, so if it's not good, they may go in the toilet.
WHO is Robyn to say if the older ones want to stay in the faith? Here these women have been more than nice to her, help her with the rotten kids of hers, get betrayed by her over and over- dress, kiss, etc., talking to K behind their backs. She couldn't handle her own life, now, she wants to run everything. If Kody takes her side, after all the talk HE did about the kids freedom, well, he may not need that lawsuit- they all may leave.
Regarding the Brown family's sense of style, I think my hubby said it best while watching the Season 3 preview: "Did someone hide their clothes hangars?"
Obviously, they are wearing all their clothes at the same time because they have no dressers or clothes hangars.
People, it's *Hunter* that's supposedly having al lthe problems with the move and it's *Hunter* that storms of in the trailer for next season, not Logan or Garrison.
Just love to see people who say their lifestyle will not effect their emotional well being eat their words. How can any woman live with 3 other women and have one man sleeping with all 3 and having babies and expect it not to effect all involved. Mabey they need to bring in another Dad to releave Kody he could use some help.
Mormons have a clothing policy: no shorts or skirts that go above the knee and no shirts that show your shoulders, cleavage, or stomach. About 10 or 15 years ago, it became very popular in mainstream culture to wear tank-tops and spaghetti strap shirts. The solution for Mormon teenagers was to buy the same "revealing" shirts as everyone else, but layer a "modest" shirt underneath to keep church standards. This is quite common in Utah. You will notice that Janelle usually wears a business / business casual look most of the time (ie no weird layering.) Christine and Robyn do the layering thing all the time because they are more "trendy" moms. But this is only a normal way of dressing in Utah, not Las Vegas... Which is probably why the teenagers in the Brown family have "rebelled" and chosen to stop layering. -Rachel
Great explanation. You should post this up with the recap, too because we are always talking about it. Kinda Kooky, too, because most of America isn't running around in spaghetti straps.
Has anyone noticed that the "easy-going" Kody can sometimes look like he is ready to zap his wives with lasers? Take a look at him sometimes when he is being told something he doesn't like to hear...watch the eyes zero in and almost want to zing a few light-sabre rays! Makes you wonder if he is really not all that pooh-bear nice nice off camera...
They didn't say it didn't effect their well-being, they said it helps them become better people. I think a certain amount of dishonesty is a necessary part of being human. If we all sat around saying exactly what we thought of each other none of us would have jobs, wives, friends, husbands, lives etc. Robyn might regret asking for that particular honesty.
I'm a devout Roman Catholic and my God has taught me to love all. I pray for Kody and his family and wish them nothing but the best. Their family values and morals are awesome. God Bless
BULLCRAP!! I can't wait to see weasel Kody's side.

You know how retarded they are. The argument is probably over if they are getting sausage on the pizza or not!

There's probably fighting over one house or 4.
ReplyDeleteWhat to guess?
What will the fight be over?

ReplyDeleteI saw it's over something stupid. But Robyn calling Bullcrap and getting ready to bawl- that's going to be over the baby, I bet.
ReplyDeletebwahahahhahah Terrasola!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, it's a weird layering, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteAll the pedicures?! The pedicures would be on the feet! lol.

ReplyDeleteYes~ I've seen that in Kody. I bet there's a part of him that can be cruel; and if you don't go his way, he punishes by ignoring. My guess.

ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for your comment!
