Sons and Daughters--Ross Lebaron and the Pure Seed Doctrine

Cynical Jinx sent me this, saying, it was "pure evil" and I don't think that those words can even fully grasp what you are about to watch, but she's as close as you can get with words. This is the story of Ross Lebaron, a 65 yr old retired businessmen. Keep in mind, that the Brown's say they don't believe in so much of what is put out there, and they may not, but it is INTERESTING that every time a name pops up with a disturbing story, they are related to them. Ross Lebaron is the 1st cousin of Christine Brown's mom, making them second cousins, and of course, all the others, David jessops and children, etc. In fact, that makes him a direct cousin also of Christine and Kody's children.

Ross believes in the fundamentalist theory of the Pure Seed Doctrine – that the families’ blood line is special in the eyes of god, and inbreeding is employed to maintain its purity. That incest is to bring back the line of Jesus Christ. 3 sons are fiercely against it, one seems prepared to take the youngest sister. This was made in 2009, and Mojave and Iron County were “looking into it”, yet no charges have been filed that I have found. I hope I am wrong and there has been! This really is a MUST WATCH. Thank God for Elland Lebaron, trying to save his young sister.

'Sister Wives' Describe Bright Side of Polygamy

Members of a Polygamist Community Say Their Marriages Work for Them
Primetime
ABC News

March 2, 2006 — In 2004, "Primetime's" John Quinones interviewed 17 women from Centennial Park, Ariz., who are in what they call "plural" marriages. All said their plural marriages work for them.

In their households, they live with one husband and anywhere from two to a dozen or more women they call "sister wives."

"And for us, it works 'cause we love it. We want it to work," said a woman named Susan.

The women are teachers, nurses, businesswomen. They are modern, savvy — and if you ask them — liberated.

Linda Earl lives in a multimillion-dollar, 30,000-square-foot mansion. She says there's plenty of room for more than one wife and many, many children.

"I'm pretty independent," Earl said. "I don't want to have to dote on a guy every night. I don't want to make sure that he has a meal every night. Let somebody else do it that likes it."

The kitchen is the size of a cafeteria. After all, there are dozens of mouths to feed in Earl's home — from newborns to teenagers.

Thirteen-year-old Derek said he doesn't know how many brothers and sisters he has. "Nobody really knows, 'cause we don't count the numbers," he said.

They say they don't keep track of how many children live here because they are afraid the authorities might charge them with polygamy and break up their families. That's why there's only one "official" wife — at least in the eyes of the law. The other marriages are only religious.

Not 'Mr. Hefner'

Another polygamous wife, Ann, said the sister wives get along well. "They're your sisters. You work together. You genuinely care about each other," she said.

But with so many women and only one man — isn't there a lot of jealousy to deal with?

"Jealousy doesn't matter when it comes to a situation where he has committed to that woman also," said Sarah, an 18-year-old newlywed. "The woman who has been her husband's sexual partner has breakfast with her the next morning, she knows where her husband has been, she knows the children that come from this union, she loves the children; she loves that woman."

The man of the house is a wealthy businessman who did not want to be identified because it could cause him legal and financial difficulties.

"Let's just say I believe that multiple relationships are superior to single relationships," he said. "It's more compatible to the needs of the man; it's more compatible to the needs of the ladies."

He wouldn't discuss numbers, but a relative said that the man has as many as 15 wives and perhaps 75 children.

This polygamous husband also said the relationships are "serious and committed" — his love life is not one big sex party.

"I think you're confusing me with Mr. Hefner down in Los Angeles," he said. "There are much cheaper ways to have sex than to maintain a plural household."

And he added that plural relationships aren't just self-serving for the man.

"It requires an enormous amount of effort to maintain any relationship — try maintaining two relationships, or three relationships. It requires substantial effort," he said. "It would be easier to lie, cheat and steal, like you guys do."

He also said he doesn't know why the outside world views polygamy with such disdain. "It's possibly just the difference. I have a certain amount of disgust for monogamy, and total disgust for bachelorhood," he said.

And for the women, freeing themselves from polygamy is as easy as locating a set of car keys, he said. "I am unwilling to restrict who I love," he continued. "And if I have to choose between loving Sarah versus loving Dorothy, I resent it. And so I will make them the same offer, and if they want to participate, they can. If they don't, they don't need to. But no woman is going to tell me I can't love another woman."

As hard as it might be for the rest of the country to understand, there's no denying that the women of Centennial Park are passionate about their lifestyles.

"I would like to say I really do love the way I live," Susan said. "And I feel very proud, very honored to know each and every member within my household. I want to live this way for the rest of my life and for the rest of eternity."

The So-Called Reality TV Show Curse: Could the TLC “Sister Wives” Brown Family be next?

Written By: Terrific Terrasola!~!

According to Tracie Egan Morrisey1 reality TV and divorce go hand in hand.  In a recent article for Jezebel.com she notes that there have been a number of divorces on the popular “Real Housewives of ...” franchise, and that the link between divorce and reality TV began back in the 1970s when PBS created and aired “An American Family” which showed the disintegration of the Loud family.

Why does there seem to be an association between reality TV and family breakdown?  Is it an “inflated sense of self and conceit” that Ms. Morrissey points out seems to be present in many families who agree to take part in reality TV, or is it that filming, including questions producers (and the public) ask family members, “illuminates the problems” that exist and cannot be ignored.  Ms. Morrisey notes that the nature of filming a reality TV show can also be very intrusive into family life and that people may not be “real” when outsiders are in their homes.  Perhaps reality TV participants become so used to acting a part that they are no longer being the people that their mates were originally attracted to or are simply not being “honest”.  Alternatively, sometimes cameras catch candid moments that reveal things partners were not aware of and cannot live with.

Dr. Patrick Wanis2 believes that reality TV triggers several predictable responses in participants.
1.  Most people have a subconscious desire to please others, which may lead participants to say or do things that they believe others expect of them.
2.  Eventually participants may become numbed to the presence of cameras and exhibit “emotional nakedness”, lowering their internal defenses and leading them to say and act out what they believe subconsciously / internally to be true, but what in “real life” they would not reveal to others (by remaining silent, suppression, trying to control comments and behavior, etc.).
3.  Cameras and editing exaggerate the best and the worst of each individual.  The camera judges every action, response and statement, creating physical, emotional and mental strain.
4.  The publicity and fame of reality TV “stardom” can result in a loss of perspective, loss of the sense of one’s “true” self, and a change in one’s personal beliefs and values.
5.  The constant presence of cameras robs a family, and especially a couple, of the time needed for privacy and physical and emotional intimacy.

If you add the responses that Dr. Wanis points out above to the exhibitionist personalities typically attracted to reality TV3 or, as Dr. Leonard Hofstadter's mother explained it on “The Big Bang Theory” that people attracted to “acting” generally have an external locus of control and tend to value themselves only insofar as others value them, you have a pretty good recipe for family (or individual) breakdown.

Do you think the Browns will fall victim to The Reality TV Show Curse?  Is it already happening?  Tell us below.
