Sister Wives on the Strip
The Sister Wives get makeovers and head to the strip for a night on the town while Kody stays home to babysit all the kids. How will they react when they come face to face with all the "adult" entertainment Vegas has to offer?
Kody Climbs Into the Ring
Kody heads for the Vegas strip for a guy's night out on the town, testing his wrestling skills against a mixed martial arts fighter and answering his friends' questions about his lifestyle. Meanwhile, the wives help setup Robyn's new nursery.
"Chin up Ladies! I didn't get enough free goodies hawking on twitter or setting up P.O. boxes and gift registries, I need TLC to come do a room over!"
"This beats the crap out of the 14X68 1971 trailer I lost in the divorce! Now that was ABUSE!"
These ladies must be in high heaven with all these room makeovers, dinners out (They eat out every show) and the like. But, will they save any of those finite resources for the future?

With that many children one would think they have enough old furniture and baby clothes for the upcoming child army of Robyn.

ReplyDeleteWonder how Babtsitting goes in multiple houses? Do all the kids have to go to one house at nite for Kody to babysit his own kids for the TLC cameras? Do the older kids have to disrt their routines, seems so awkward in multiple houses. Mosst kids like to chill out uninterrupted at some point but now it is get your stuff we are going over to the other house, and then back, etc Poor kids.....Covering my eyes that pic of Kody the wrestler hurt my eyes.

A father cannot "baby-sit" his own children! He is the parent to most of them.

ReplyDeleteWhen Christine was pregnant there was a segment were she and the original wives had to rearrange her tiny Lehi bedroom to fit in a crib for the baby. No nursery. No discussion of new stuff. Making due with the space and assets available. But after all, this is Kody and Robyn's first so he's a special miracle physical manifestation of their sexual relationship, and homeboy deserves a nursery!

ReplyDeleteAre some of you really not aware that TLC foots the bill for those dinners/cruises/recreational activities? The Brown's don't pay for any of that stuff! Not to mention that with the popularity of the show, they are making anywhere from $25K -$75K per show. Why do think Kate G was so upset at her show getting cancelled? You have to hand it to them, they found a way into a reality show, are reaping the "rewards" of it and guess what? It's all because WE are watching it! I happen to like this family, I'm not defending their religious tenets, but as people I would love to get to know them better.

anon--I bet you are right that TLC is paying for all the trips and stuff.
ReplyDeleteBut if that is the case it is really tacky for the Browns to be on tv complaining about finite resources. "Oh boohoo we make $30,000 per episode..." Kind of like if Jay Leno claimed he was poor...tacky.
I agree- totally tacky. It pisses me off. We would believe and be able to like them so much more if they just said- hey, yipee! For the first time in our married life, we don't have to work and have all these goodies, Hair, makeup, food, YEAH!, (Trips_) the list goes on and on.

When I hear finite, I want to kick Janelle.
I like Christine best since the 1st episode, I feel pitty for Meri, Janelle seems kind of desperate, and I am sorry but I cannot stand Robyn. Kody attempting to parent is hard to stomach, you made them Kody get in there! My husband saw me watching an episode and kept asking "why would Kody keep Janelle around?" and when it showed her working/budgeting he looked at me and said "Bingo." Thats a man for ya lol
ReplyDeleteCorrect me if I'm wrong but I don't think I've heard Janelle say "finite resources" in a long time. If I missed it then I stand corrected. But some people view amounts of money in different lights. I think in the beginning of the show they truly were financially strapped but I wouldn't believe that now. So yes I agree it would be tacky if Janelle made that statement again. I also know that anyone who wants a job in Vegas can get one if you are willing to do either menial work and/or low pay. There's no reason all of them don't have some type of job at this point other than they don't need them. Notice the realtor job has gone by the wayside also? I think the downside is they may not have much veto power on what TLC wants them to do ie: walking down Fremont St.??? Don't think they would have voluntarily done that if it weren't for the cameras.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was just me... I always felt that Kody has no connection with any of those kids, he's like the cool uncle who comes to visit once in a while. I believe he is just in it for the wives, they make him feel like he is the "CHOSEN ONE". He is a sick dude and I am sure we are only seeing what TLC wants us to see. Oh what about his little sports car, WOW if that is not selfish, I don't know what is...This show is so phoney and staged but it's like a train wreck, you can't help but watch.
Out of all of the wives I have to admit I do not care for Robyn, she is not only hard to look at, but she tries so hard to be part of the sister wives bond, that she makes herself look ridiculous. She loves to act like the helpless young new wife who must look up to her old biddy sister wives for guidance.
I really believe Janelle does not like her much but just tolerates her. Out of all of them, Janelle is losing a lot of weight and she is becoming more attractive, I think she will be the one who eventually will gain some self esteem and open her eyes and flee, I think her kids would be very happy too. She does come off as being independent so why would she stay in that situation with that surfer dude looking guy.
Sorry, just venting, I found this blog today and so happy to see it's just not me who feels this way...
