Often I wonder if some of the defensive/attacking Anonys that post on here are actually one of the Brown's themselves....lol
Also a tweet I seen from Robyn stating that Kody is not on twitter so BEWARE of people pretending to be him ...lol Now the reason I find this highly amusing is bc she's gotta know that her lover KB isn't the only one that exists. If anything, other Kody Brown's probably makes it mandatory to put a disclaimer*NO SISTER WIVES ALLOWED * ...hehe

Anyone know if Kody has a Twitter account? Because I got a tweet from someone named Kody_Brown. He tweeted "Zip it." I tweeted back, "Why don't you zip your pants?...."

Can someone tell me if the Brown children will be going on a "mission" before going to college and if so WHAT is a "mission" anyway? ANd is it true that the church at least LDS Mormons pays for these kids college? (If they go on a "mission.")
ReplyDeleteSnogging-that was used in the Harry Potter movies, so, is it a normal term or someone just using a 'Potter' word. Would they go see a movie like Harry Potter? I am really surprised they, the Browns did not have a 'term' for another mother's kids. There must be something out there in other Poly communities... Anyway,if Mad waits to grad. H.S., she still has almost 3 years-do you think she will still feel the way about Vegas and will leave to go to Utah on her own? Well, as long as it is her choice... As for the boys, has it been answered yet about what these sons, and other AUB sons do? I mean, do the majority leave, since there are not enough females for the 3 women marriages, unless you get outsiders, like Janelle to join?
ReplyDeleteAUB's don't serve missions like the LDS do. so, the answer is NO. Kody's mission was an LDS one. they are 2 year missions for boys at the age of 19 and 18 months for girls at the age of 21.
ReplyDeletethe mormon church doesn't pay for missions nor college. they do give scholarships to byu as well as all tuition for all mormons attending is subsidized with church member's tithing $$. that's why it's so cheap for them to attend byu (provo, hawaii, idaho) and they're encouraged to do so.
For those of us in the Commonwealth (UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc.), snogging is a well-known term. I think those in the U.S. would refer to it as "making out" or industrial strength kissing.
ReplyDeleteinteresting that lds staggers the ages of the missionaries...the guys who come back are 21 and the females their age are just getting ready to leave. I'm sure there is a well-thought out purpose behind that (as with every calculated move the lds church makes), but what is it?
ReplyDeleteit's cause they encourage the girls to marry young i.e. the missionaries that are coming home would be marrying the girls 2 and 3 years younger. so, then if the girl hasn't married by the age of 21, she's strongly encouraged to go on a mission.
ReplyDeletealso, the girls are older than the guys out on their missions and more mature and likely not attracted to the male missionaries and cuts down on the hanky panky factor.
the last decade or so, the marrying age has gone way up both male and female and the church is coming back down on it again in their latest talks.

ReplyDeleteYes, ideally, the girls are a couple to 3 years younger if it all goes to plan. However, like i said, there are more and more now waiting longer to get married. That also means there are more girls serving missions these days as well. So, the marriage age is getting a little "skewed."
They get these talks about getting married asap at byu devotionals, when they get home from their missions, and priesthood talks and general conference talks. they are encouraged to not put their educations first before marriage.
the sad part is that the mormon temple marriage divorce rate has gotten almost as high as the national average. so, the plan doesn't seem to be the best.
getting married so young, having babies right off the bat, and still trying to work and go to school can certainly take the fun out of being a newlywed. plus there's always your callings in the church that also take time and energy. alot of these marriages quickly get pretty stressed as you can see. but then there's the sacrifice and reward in the afterlife carrot that's always the reminder to do it anyway.
Obviously, no one understands that most American kids have picked up snogging to mean kissing, from the Harry Potter series. In England, the term is more along the lines of the same meaning as making out. But in the Harry Potter movies it refers to kissing. Which is why most American kids who use the reference, do so to suggest kissing, not making out. The Brown teens have talked about kissing already. It was Christine's family that didn't permit it before marriage.

ReplyDeleteIn a recent tweet Mariah responded to one of her followers that basically the SWBlogger lady has no life, since all she does is post their tweets.
I guarantee U if this blog was all sugar coated & candyland liketheir nauseating FB wall, SWB would prolly be their favorite site too!!...lol I love this blog bc its actually informative & not just one sided. Im sure someone will challenge me & say its one sided bc it all seems "negative"..lol but I say, please join the conversation to enlighten & inform us bc the Sister Wives show or TLC surely isnt trying to educate America about the hard hitting questions we all really wanna know, I.e. their true beliefs & religion behind polygamy lifestyle. Are they a independent family of AUB or what?, + lots more.
