Tweet Tweet!

I have totally blown keeping the Nov. tweets up, and I apologize. Promise to try to do better in Dec....Here's a few tidbits on ones we just can't go pass....

1. Mariah's excitement over Solomon....

Even if said otherwise later, for now, we know that the only teen particularly excited about adding another sibling is Mariah. Sometimes things like this are staged, but I think she is truly excited.

For those loyal Sisterwivesblog followers, you'll remember a time there was someone on here posting as "Mariah". Once I asked her for written permission from her parents to allow her to interact on the blog with others, she disappeared. We here don't think it was her. We do know she knows of the blog.

I am far to stuffed and lazy to go back through and find each piece so I will just tell you. A short time ago, (and it's on this blog somewhere).......someone "tweeted" Mariah about US putting her tweets on the blog. A STRANGER tweeted to MARIAH about us. To me, that is FAR scarier than a site about the show simply posting the folks' tweets. But hey, that's just me.

2. Aspyn's Blue.

First she's really been upset. Typical emotions of a child when a parent has to move for work. Wait, I meant... lawsuit, fear, TV ...all. that. not. work. Silly me! Keep your chin up girl, we are all hoping all the children are getting adjusted, making new friends, and happy with school.

3. Preacher likes to teach her..

Rev. Dani Beth is an interesting character. A little OVER the top in sugary gooiness. Has she drank the kool-aid? Is she garnering attention for a new book? Certainly different.

4. Someone help me with timeline thinking. (You can find these tweets in the Aug. section) too lazy to repost)  Robyn's fuzzy timeline.

This last show HAD to have been when? August? Because they spent September flying around doing the talk show circuit.
We KNOW it wasn't after, what? Labor Day I would say at the LATEST.
To tape the LAST show, and, honestly, to plug Bill and fitness prior to... they knew they were going to partner with the investor and use their talents as the "celebrity" to promote the Fundamental Fitness Center by JUNE - JULY?

Just found it interesting to look at these AUGUST tweets.
Aug. 7 - Mona from TMI Reality tweets the Browns have joined their Real Estate Business.
Aug 8-12 ROBYN Confirms this, and says in AUGUST they are working on their licenses and going into selling homes.
Do you think they really go their licenses? Was it all for the show? Do you feel that Robyn saying they were working on them is a lie?

LAST BUT NOT LEAST!~ WE HERE AT SISTERWIVES BLOG ARE JUST SO HONORED to PRESENT......The # 1 Tweet!!!  (Why, we are blushing)

My amazement is this.... Joe Darger would RETWEET something some fan tweeted to Kody about us. (This gal likes Real Housewives to tweet to, also).

My Humble opinion:
Kody Brown and Joe Darger………
Since you seem interested in our blog, COME ON OVER!!!!!
We like some snark, but offered up for folks to have a home to post their viewpoint either PRO or AGAINST Polygamy. I feel the majority of commenters probably are against polygamy, but are reasonable, intelligent folk with an open mind that might be your best neighbor you ever had, whether you were Christian, Jewish Catholic, or AUB (you get my point).
Religion, however, is the reason you all have the bread and butter of TV/Books/ and therefore you can’t want us to buy into what you are selling and not talk religion. Without the religion and the intrigue of the multiple wives, the opportunities you are enjoying right now would not exist. So yes, it is fair game. We’re reading and watching and gaining you money and ratings, why not come on over and answer some questions? Write a post for us, send us a video.
IF you fear what some random commenter might say, how about this?
How about a good old fashioned debate about Polygamy with Troy Bowles (if available)?
I guess he’s what you might call a prior “Bona Fide” Mormon who I am sure would be fair.
Are you interested Joe or Kody? If so, just shoot us an email and let us know!

OK! Enough about tweets! Be sure and scroll down to read 2 news posts and get some rest.. Tomorrow is the BIG FINALE!

(Big thanks to all who sent tweets to me, it is a help!) If you would, please put your "commenter" name on the emails so I can thank you!!

  1. So Danielle T. was with them on tgiving? Or at some point because she has seen solomon and helped a kid with homework?

That woman is riding the wave of fame for her own desires for notoriety. She should change her twitter name again. To "RevDaniSellOut"

  2. I would imagine anyday now you will receive a cease and desist letter from TLC. You are protected under free speech, but from experience on other TLC related blogs regarding their shows, TLC does this almost automatically when they find a blog that is less than flattering. Although, this blog is pretty open to discussion on both sides of the debate.

Actually, best blog ever. Kudos to the admins.

  3. Rev. Dani T sounds like she got Christine's meds recipe and went home and got some scrips filled herself. They both now live in "The happy land of unicorns and rainbows."

  4. TLC didn't shut down the sites critical to the Gosslings. There is a site called "Free Jinger" that attacks the Duggars and the Quiverful movement. It's alive and kicking.

TLC is smart. Criticism garners them as many views as compliments.

Now, if you want a real scandal the Food Network HAS shut down critical sites and replaced them with their own critical sites (though the fact of FN ownership is hidden.) Food Network Humor is owned by FN, for instance, and gets all rights to posting screen caps of any shows. All other sites are closed down due to copyright issues.

    Sleazy ain't it.

TLC has it's own issues. But they have allowed many independent critical sites to use it's content to snark and investigate. In one instance, Jeremy Roloff posted very racist comments on a MySpace page. Though it was taken down, people still have screen caps of his comments on Reality TV sites. TLC has refused to intervene on the Roloffs behalf to eliminate the backlash Jeremy received all over the place.

  5. My theory: RevDan teaches at multiple schools, yes? If she's interested in being a full-time prof, this means that she hasn't been offered tenure yet, and probably needs to publish more. Being connected with the Browns is a way into the plyg community, gains her notoriety, and also gives her lots to write about.

Admins, regarding potential 'cease and desist' from TLC, two suggestions: maybe republishing tweets of the parents (at least verbatim) is a bad idea because TLC might own or have rights to them from the contract. Second, perhaps the front page needs language about the show Sister Wives being content of TLC, copyrighted, etc...

Thanks Anony, I laughed so hard at that! I needed a smile this rainy day.

  7. I just rewatched the episode where Kody goes from house to house in a sixty minute episode. It really stood out to me that both Meri and Christine expressed they like living alone but miss Kody. What about this rings "being a polygamist is awesome." They don't want to live with their sister wives and are resentful when he is with a different concubine. This begs the following question for me- since it seems like the things they like about their situation (I.e. Spending time with Kody and not living with his concubines) are inherent to monogamous relationships, do you think they have ever considered that they would be happier living that lifestyle? It seems to me that each of the wives refuse to see any option other than polygamy because they were all raised by polygamist parents, despite the fact that the things they "like" about their marriage are more associated with monogamy than polygamy.

On another note- after watching this episode again I was reminded that Christine's bedroom had been redecorated yet in last week's episode where Kody brings Dayton into Christine's room- the room didn't have the new furniture. Talk about a weird chronology mix up. Maybe Kody sold Chrisrine's furniture back to the consignment store so he could decorate Solomon's room for Robyn. They are sisters so they need to learn how to share.

  9. Plot: I wasn't suggesting that TLC has shut down sites. I was simply commenting that TLC has a regular practice of sending out cease and desist letters - I don't believe they waste anytime pursuing them. I completely agree that TLC is well aware that the "negative/anti-fan" sites keep the controversy and thus ratings alive.

I was an avid follower of the Gosselin saga (on the anti-fan side to be clear). There is still a site I frequent "15 min Gosselin Style", but now just lurking from time to time as the show was cancelled and I find Kate utterly boring and irrelevant. However, I can tell you this site and several others that were non-favorable to the Gosselins were sent the letters. Nothing ever happened - as long as the material is not copyrighted. There were a few other TLC shows that had the same thing happen with non-fan sites. I don't follow the Duggars so I don't look for their sites.

As far as the tweets as somebody mentioned - if you put it out on the internet it is public domain from my understanding. And I wanted to mention, as an avid fan of the Food Network, I am surprised about their involvement in the Food Network Humor site - that site is sometimes downright disparaging, albeit hilarious.

  11. Hi, I have sent some of the tweets! Cos I am down in Australia, I sometimes think I might check twitter while you guys are asleep so I often screen shot them in case they are removed before you get to have a look. I always post as Joanne but never use my surname. Love your work!

  12. Dear Brown Family- I really enjoyed stumbling across your blog this evening. Your posts made me laugh and smile. It's super late here on the SouthShore and where I should be asleep, I'm up waiting on the washer to finish its treacherously long spin-cycle.. *oy* Thank goodness I'm burning the midnight oil, reading about your daily adventures. That is how life in my neck of the woods is like, an adventure. It's exciting to open an eye to the rooster's coo-coo and see what new and thrilling event my family will experience next, each and every day! Take care, ~Rebekah

  13. I don't think Rev. Dani should be portrayed as a "sell out" just because she's continued a friendship with the Browns. People really are cynical if you automatically assume the Browns aren't worthy of having friends for the sake of friendship. JMO

  14. I think Solomon is a beautiful baby. I understand the wives try to dress modestly but what is up with the shirt over shirt 'fashion' they sport? Try getting one well fitting shirt and maybe a jacket or something other than a short sleeved or tank shirt to wear over it. Breaks up the silhouette and makes them look heavier.

  15. I wouldn't call Rev Danielle a sell out. I would simply call her sudden friendship with the Browns this season "suspicious and self-serving".

    Yes, please call me Cynical.

  16. Rev Danielle is a typical liberal religionist.. no spiritual or moral foundation..so why not give approval to this 'lifestyle" nextyear she will marry a man and his dog

    ReplyDelete
  17. I call her a sellout for presenting herself as a religious figure but yet not being willing to ask the hard questions. The KBF faith and hers are vastly different. If you want to just be friends with them, then just be a friend but don't bill yourself as some religious person or reverend and not be willing to actually talk about basic theological differences between you and them.

  18. The reason for the "shirt on shirt" fashion you see is the sacred garments they wear underneath. Search for "Mormon garments"
And look for the original version. Main stream Mormons who are "active" in the Church wear an updated version of these.

    ReplyDelete
  19. No need to search, Starting with MORMON UNDERWEAR in July. ppl, if your gonna offer stuff like above, you should know it's right here.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Irritated: I'm glad you get irritated so easily. Let's see if we can do it again. You must be such a happy person. The Mormon garments comment was only directed to the commentor who asked why they wear the shirt on shirt fashion? It was to explain to them (who must have missed your beloved July post) the reason they wear so many clothes to hide their "sacred" garments.
