Two of my grandchildren weighed over 9 lbs - but I don't remember them looking this chubby!
In 2011, the Sister Wives Blog started out as a place to talk about the TLC reality show "Sister Wives", Kody Brown and his wives Christine, Robyn, Meri and Janelle. A year later, we not only discuss the show, we discuss Polygamy in our society, and the public perceptions of the Mormon religion. This blog is geared towards the adult reader, so please, no one under the age of 18 years. Thank you!

What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteBut man, he looks too big for that onesie, and 10 lb. babes can fit into them at first.
I wish the baby all the best, he's going to need it, considering everyone's always unhappy in that family.
His hand needs some cream.
No color coordinated blankie and outfit?
Heah all, just wanted to say congratulations on the birth of soloman. I've been watching your show in the UK and just wanted to say that you guys should be able to liev the way you choose to live, its a shame your not all together but i enjoy watching you. Its not a life i'd choose but thats why were all different. Love to all x
ReplyDeleteIs it me or does that baby have a square jaw or what?
ReplyDeleteThat happens when you are 5 weeks overdue. bahahaha
ReplyDeleteThat is a seriously overcooked baby! ;) Glad everything went well with his delivery and he's here, safe and healthy.
ReplyDeleteHe looks fine to me. If she'd gone to an OB/GYN they'd have dragged him out 2 weeks ago, and for what? Good for him he got to stay in as long as he needed and good for Robyn that she didn't have lots of unnecessary medical interventions.
ReplyDeleteMy son was born at 35 weeks, and weighed 5lbs. I think he was 2 months old before he was this big, LOL
Does anyone notice the perfect round head? That baby is not a 1 day old baby. Unless he was csection.
ReplyDeleteI think he's cute, and I totally agree with not letting them induce - who says every baby needs the exact same amount of time to grow? Why not just trust our bodies on these things? Seems like the baby and the mother's bodies know when the timing is right.
ReplyDeleteI published more pics of new baby Solomon on my site: www.polygrrl.com.
Thanks polygrrl, we have those pictures on down in the spot of Solomon Brown
ReplyDeleteanon==ooh I had not noticed the perfectly round head. You are totally right. That cements the conspiracy theory for me. I've had vaginal births and a csection. A cesection head is round. A vaginal birth is cone shaped...for several days. hmmm
ReplyDeleteok, so they have the baby around 2:00 a.m. vegas time and people.com has the exclusive first photos of perfectly groomed mom & dad, complete with hair (obviously just Robyn lol) and make-up, online around 11:00 a.m. vegas time...that's about 8 hours after the actual birth???? who in the HELL has a professional photo shoot a few hours after giving birth?!? I call BS on this one big time!! I also agree with the round head theory in earlier posts...that baby in no way, shape or form looks like he's only a few hours old!
ReplyDeleteMy first birth was twins, and neither had a cone head. Vaginal Births - 1 hr and 35 mins apart.
ReplyDeleteBaby a was upside down and got stuck, pulled out with forceps.
Oh, and my epi didn't work!
However, if I had done a home birth, Baby A would not of made it out. We all would of been in trouble.
Ya but the remember josh duggar had pictures of him and his wife and newborn son right after they gave birth. lol
ReplyDeleteI have no problem with them taking pics right after a baby is born, in fact, the more the merrier! But I DO find it odd to see PROFESSIONAL photos in full hair & makeup only a few hours after giving birth! If I were Robyn, I'd probably be passed out, not up & out of bed, showered, dressed & in full hair & make up!
ReplyDeleteSadly, that's part of the fun- right after birth, your in Pj's and no makeup-but no one cares, your enjoying the moment.
ReplyDeleteSadly, their moments became 1. call People!
Get this on film!
Robyn, hurry up and get cleaned up!
Do you think they gave her time to get the afterbirth out??
On a funny note-I knew nothing of giving birth when I did. Even thought I had the best of care-no one tells you shoving that crap out is like having another baby!
When my Real mom had me and my sibs, she had a hard time, so she went to the vet to get a shot of oxytocin. Plop the first one came and she looked at the vet like, oh I'm so sorry, that came out of me? Oh gracious what a mess.
ReplyDeleteEVerybody was smiling and giving her comfort. Then the afterbirth and the horror of that mess dropping to the floor as well.
Finally she got the idea and went home with me mum and several more syringes of oxytocin for me mum to give if needed (they were) but me mum still laughs at how shocked and apologetic she looked at the mess of the 1st pup and the afterbirth!! So, don't feel alone in your surprise, Anon 4:37
I agree with all here who call BS to that being a newborn. No way, Jose.
ReplyDeletelets all remember that every pregnancy, labor, and birth (whether vaginal or csection) is different. not every baby born from a vaginal birth has a cone-shaped head. I think we're all looking waaay to far into the birth of this baby. not everything is a conspiracy.

The conspiracies are a bit too much for me! My first baby weighed just over 10 pounds, was delivered vaginally, and did not have a cone head. He was a chubby big baby boy. Oh and the cute little onesies I had been given at my baby shower, had to be returned for a much larger size. I am no fan of Robyn, but not all babies have a cone head.
ReplyDeleteI agree with CindyLouWho, this looks like a normal newborn to me. I know after I delivered all 3 of my babes, within 1 hr of giving birth I was in the shower and dressed in fresh clothes. Even walked from birthing room to postpartum unit. So it is definitly possible for her to look camera ready. This is actually becoming a popular thing to do right after the baby is born.
